Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Despite the disruptions to his travel plans, he was well on his way back out the gates and headed towards Soon's Haven where the delayed trade barge was waiting for him. The desert seemed a bit calmer, the storms just a little less brutal. A small shift that few wouldn't notice, but to someone so well-versed in traversing Wind Country, Uri saw the ebbs and flows of this chaotic beast of nature. No time was wasted and he moved towards the coast at the fullest speed he could fathom, leaving behind only a whistle to be lost in the winds of the maelstrom.

Before he knew it, he was sitting on the edge of the ship, shaking the sand from his boots as the crisp ocean air kissed his face. He remembered the first time he had ever seen the water, the great big ocean that seemed to go on forever without end. The realization that the rest of the world wasn't all sand and rock made him buzz with energy. That feeling returned with renewed vigor as he tossed his boots aside and walked up to the front of the boat, climbing ropes until he was high on the bow. The moist air whipped through his pale hair, the salt on his lips forcing a huge white smile upon his face. There was never anything more freeing or as thrilling as riding on a boat, slicing through the deep blue sea. In another life Uri would have loved to of been a sailor or a boat captain.

The rest of the day he spent helping around the ship, and when not working, playing cards with the sailors and telling jokes. Uri knew that he was on a dangerous mission and all of these people were in harm's path. He knew there was no need to panic them, despite the fact they probably all knew why a shinobi was there.

A few days passed and he got a knock on his cabin door. Inside was Uri who had been preparing himself. They were nearing the coordinates of the creature attacks. For the occasion he had been playing with his clay, coming up with inventive uses of it in order to help disable this beast before it brought harm to the ship. Stepping out onto the deck, he made his way to the upper most deck, hopping up the side of the ship to save time, and found the Captain waiting for him.

"There's an eerie calm, laddie. I don't like it."

Uri looked ahead and his sixth sense had to agree with the older man, "No worries, Captain. I won't let anything happen to you or your crew. Keep your eyes peeled."<i></i> Hand on the railing, Uri hoisted himself over the ledge and forward onto the main mast, scaling it similar to that of a monkey and resting, hanging off of the crow's nest. Its occupants, there were two men in it today, were busy gazing down the lengths of their ocular instruments in an attempt to spot the attack before it happened.

But before anyone knew it there was a rumble beneath the ship and Uri's instincts went haywire in reaction to the sudden threat. A call went out.

"All hands, prepare for kraken attack!"

The sailors all took up harpoons in preparation, but they knew the odds of fending this thing off. That was why Uri was there.

Taking a deep breath, he pushed off of the nest and dove into the water, past the writhing tentacles creeping up the side of the ship. It took but a moment for his eyes to adjust to the salt water and for him to gaze upon the massive animal clinging to the bottom of the ship. A large, globe-like eye stared at him with little concern. When Uri found combat, he became a different person. It wasn't a time to smile or to joke. Fighting meant life or death, and for these sailors it meant their families losing fathers and starving without the support. A mental vibration shook outward from Uri and for a moment nothing happened.

That was when all the sailors observed the seagulls overhead begin diving upon the grasping appendages, ramming them and having their beaks become stuck. Upon closer inspection it was clearer they weren't real, but made of clay. Almost a hundred or more birds stuck out from the tentacles like massive splinters. A second later and they all exploded, becoming mini balls of fire, burning away flesh and evaporating exoskeleton. There was an audible whine underwater that made Uri's ears ring. Parts of the beast rained down around him, sinking into oblivion. It was then that it saw the true threat of Uri, still staring at him. Yanking a pull-string from the back of his belt, and large spherical orb dropped from his person. A series of swift handseals later and a aquatic-created shark rushed at it, biting down upon it and stormed towards the wounded monster. More handseals followed and as the improvised torpedo struck, a barrier formed around it, containing the explosion and forcing the blast through the kraken. The sea creature was split into two and change, its inky blood staining the water. A rope dropped into the water above his head and he took hold. The crewmen hauled him aboard and the lot started cheering, shaking him by the shoulder and slamming appreciative hands into his back. His hair was stained charcoal and his clothes were almost completely black, but he had done it.

"Sushi anyone?"<i></i>
