Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

It. Was. Time! Time for Kitsune, Rei, and the time sliding Shiro, to make their trip to Konohagakure. It was gonna be a long trip. Or, it would’ve been, ordinarily. But they were going by airship, so it’d be a breeze, instead. The airship was one of the more luxurious models available, and it’d been kitted out with all sorts of tech. It even had private cabins for passengers, with ensuite bathrooms, a fully loaded kitchen with everything the heart might desire in the pantry. Kitsune had also, of course, had one of her maids ensure that all the clothes she’d need had been brought on board. She wasn’t going to Konoha looking below her status.

While the airship would be departing from the Torre Empirea, all traffic still had to pass by the gates for inspection. Luckily, the gates were tall as all heck, and after the advent of airship traffic, had been expanded upwards, so they could handle inspections of airships coming in and out. This meant a short pitstop at the gates to be allowed through, which should be a mere formality at this point, as the trip had been in the works for weeks at this point.

So when the airship docked with one of the gate towers, Kitsune walked from the bridge down to the saloon where the entry door was, and took a seat, waiting for her travelling companions to join her so they could show their passports to whomever got assigned to let them out the door, so to speak.

It had taken a few weeks, an emergency sealing, and some general hospital time but, Ryuu Rei was finally ready to leave Kumogakure. Though by the look on her face it was clear she was already not looking forward to the heat. It was a mild day for the city, but already too hot for her liking. Even high up in the sky as they were at the top of the Torre, she wanted a blizzard to grace their exit. Dressed for hot weather the incredibly skinny Main Branch Sennin walked with one hand shoved into the pockets of her dress pants. Tucked in was a white button up, suspenders to hold up the pants ever trying to escape her stick-thin ass, and dress shoes. Her hair’s color had been shifted into a weird green shade. and was far longer than normally kept; the ponytail whipping out in the high-winds. Planted on her lips was a clove cigarette burning down with gentle puffs as if the wind didn’t exist. Both hands were gloved with black-dyed leather covered in ninjutsu seals. The right hand was carrying a katana made specifically for her by the R&D team.

Swordplay wasn’t her forte, but after the transformation it was hard to say what was. She had become something of a jack-of-all, her control over Ninjutsu now more refined than she could even originally imagine. Rei theorized that the Dragon Seal was playing a part in this. Holding down the monstrous chakra at her core that somehow was still able to leak out through 27 layers, it was at the very least allowing her to fine tune Ninjutsu down to the very atomic structure of chakra; sometimes she didn’t even need to use hand-seals. That fine tuned power was in spite of the new weak appearance as a mysterious air of chaos seemed to radiate from the woman. Every now and again, as she walked to the on-ramp puffing down on the cigarette fast, a footstep would leave the metal platform underneath the snow suddenly rusted. Not because the metal used on this platform was prone to rust but because some of her chakra leaked out and destabilize, briefly, the atomic makeup of the spot she was touching. It was an unfortunate annoyance right now but, there was nothing that could be done. Maybe someone in Konohagakure had the right vibration of Cursed Chakra and a high knowledge of sealing that could assist her. While annoying, right now, if the power was ever fully unleashed for combat…having it randomly transform the atomic make up of her surroundings could prove incredibly fatal. As Rei stepped up to the entrance, she took one more puff and flicked the lit cigarette into the wind; it was eaten into particles by her chakra as it flew away.

Stepping onto the airship, she made her way over to the lobby where Kitsune was waiting patiently. She vaulted the high-end bar and rested her weapon against the counter before squatting down to rattle around dishware. She stood back up with a tea set on a silver platter and placed it on the bar.
We feeling the usual or…the fancy stuff?” she asked Kitsune. The preferred was the Shinrya Clan’s own botanicals. They had a corner of the tea market set in stone based purely on three different levels of tea which had varying prices; all depending on when it was harvested. The more expensive brand, the one with “punch” as Rei like to call it, was harvested the last of its bunch and had the most oils. The “fancy stuff” was some exotic tea from some trade a local merchant made across the ocean. It held its own against the Shinrya Teas and had more fruit tones; the Sennin herself was torn between which one she liked more - hence the question. Normally she’d prepare the usual but, after all, this wasn’t the usual tea time.
