Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The village was somewhat quite today. People going around their daily business, children playing in the streets, everything looked rather normal... if not for the massive construction work being made within the grounds of the villages medical facilities, one might even think nothing worth mentioning had happened during the past few week's...but unfortunately it did, and Harupia was there to witness it firsthand.

Of course, now the crisis was averted...but the costs were high, much higher then he'd ever imagine...in spite of the best efforts of the entire village. The whole ordeal with the Djinn had left Harupia hurting. Not physically, though he had sustained some wounds. It just felt. Wrong, seeing the carnage, the destruction...he knew it was part of the Shinobi way, he knew death was something he would have to face...but for it to appear so suddenly, and take such a toll... It felt like being sucker punched straight in the chest.

He just needed to breath a bit...away from the people. His father was pestering him, trying to ask how he was feeling, and just slipping in talk about some political activity...he didn’t have the patience for that, not right now. He needed a breather, fresh air...to see the sun, even if through a deadly sand storm. Clad in a thick, brown traveling robe, the long hair Sunaku stepped of the lift leading upwards, and awaited anyone who would grant him leave. He hoped there wouldn’t be much of an issue with the travel. He had a more pragmatic goal in mind, needing some supplies from the heaven...but for the most part, he wanted out of the village, at least for a short while.

It was odd to have so many requests to leave the village in one day. Earlier he had allowed a merchant in, a woman out to search for herbs and another shinobi had approached to leave the village as well. It was afternoon now and the sun was still very bright and would shine over the land for at least another 6 hours. Another face appeared in the entrance, coming from the dimly lit cave out into the flooded sunlight that slipped in between the cracks and holes of the great sandworm's mouth.

Saemon, a man standing six foot eight waited near the last teeth as the gate duty for those looking to enter or leave the village for the day. His messy short hair was dusted with sand and a half smoked cigarette rested between his lips. As the shorter, boyish faced shinobi approached, the guard stood up to his full height and greeted him with a gravelly voice, "Greetings, how can I help you today?" It was a generic question that served its purpose. What was the shinobi doing, what did he need?

Hmm, it seemed there was a bit of movement on the Maw today. He didn’t head out that often, at least not anymore. As a child he remember a lot of people not really wanting to go out to the surface all that much. Kept for the occasional merchant or Shinobi on a mission. Still, it didn’t matter that much. As long as he managed to pass through himself, he would be all good.

He was the guardian of the gates, a rather large, gruff looking male...who was smoking. Haru rubbed his hand over his lips and jaw to relax himself a bit, a slightly grimace threatening to move onto his lips. He was not fond so smokes at all. Well, hopeful he wouldn’t have to stand there and sniff the tobacco fumes for too long. As the man addressed him, his question rather standard, but the tone being pretty grim, he would muster up a small polite smile as he said "Greetings, hope you’re not having troubles on duty today. I would like to ask for passage outside of the village. I need to go for a bit of shopping in the Haven. I know we have merchants going back and forth between there and the village but you know, sometimes you just have to get stuff done on your own" he said with a small chuckle. He did indeed want a moment alone outside of the village. And besides, he already had to deal with some of the paint he ordered being all laced in sand bits. And trying to control paint coated sand could get a bit messy.

Saemon was met with a kind smile and niceties (though the expression at his choice of vice didn't go unnoticed), ones he responded to with a faint shake of the head for affirmation of a trouble free day. This man was also the second one heading out to the Haven that day. Maybe a tryst away from the prying eyes of the village? Granted he hadn't thought the first man, nor really the second one before him was that sort of man, yet who knew.

Once he had the opportunity to speak again, he did so with a calm voice, "Understandable. It's nice this time of year over there." he repeated to this man, same as the one he'd met earlier. "I need to request your name and rank and if you have a passport?" the latter of which wouldn't be necessary in all cases.

Then Saemon, like always, took a mental image of the man using a technique he'd mastered in the ANBU. No handseals would be needed and the maneuver would happen in a way that it was untraceable. It only looked outwardly as if Saemon had blinked as usual.

Everything was going along smoothly. And he had to agree with the man in his mind, it would probably be nice outside in the open at this time. Of course, disregarding the whole maelstrom rampaging through the desert. Still, that wouldn’t detriment him from his goal. He was used to moving through the desert in the way it was now. As the male asked him for all the necessary things, he would move his hand into his traveling cloak as he said "But of course. Sunaku Harupia, Sunan Jounin, and here is the passport...which expired yesterday...How convenient..."

Haru looked at the small slip of paper, which turned out to be pretty much useless to him right now. He'd need to get himself a renewed passport...he couldn’t believe he forgot to check it in the first place. With a sigh he would say "Well, for all it worth here it is... I do remember you could get a temporary pass for a brief amount of time, right? I won’t be longer then 2-3 days out there. And I can swear on my protector I have no interests in running from the village. Isn’t worth the trouble of being hunted down by the best Shinobi the world has to offer, don’t you think?" he half joked with a another chuckle, hiding the papers as soon as the guard looked through them, or just stopped showing interest. The thought of straight up running never struck his mind. Right now, there was too much to be done. And he could hardly imagine any other place being better...even with their current situation, he was more interested in helping the people go out of the underground then just run away from the issue. He just really needed a breather.

Saemon's face remained passive, but an amused look passed over his eyes. He could see the dilemma the other man was in, bringing an expired passport. But he actually recognized the man now; he'd seen him before, knew him by name and by reputation; he was a good man, an honest one. And so, as he'd done earlier that day, Sae brought out his pad and wrote up a quick temporary passport for the other. It stipulated he would be required to return within the next 4 days or else someone would come after him.

He tore off the paper and held it out to Harupia. "It's fine. For short visits out there's no issue. See you return by Friday." And he would let Harupia go without further question.

Well, that went not as smoothly as he expected, but close enough, but it was close enough. He didn’t need much time, and he'd work on getting a renewed passport as soon as he came back. For now, he was glad to be on his way, as he accepted the paper from the guard, and with a respectful bow said "Thank you kindly. Have a good rest of the day. Hope there isn’t much trouble around the gates...unless you’ll be looking forward to some action after a long day of passing people through here" he aside with a final chuckle before heading towards the relentless maelstrom, covering his body well with his cloak.

(Exit as well)
