Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A warm breeze flowed carelessly through the sandy dunes that surrounded the makeshift encampment where the Sunan red-head had been waiting. Just as you might start wondering exactly what for he would rise from his previous crossed-leg position. ”Have you found us a way through?” An older man cautiously asked the now scowling shinobi. Kaen shook his head with disdain. ”No, my clones saw no way through. I’m afraid we may have to go the long way around.” The older man’s face and immediately was consumed with sorrow. His head fell low and he collapsed to the ground. ”Then we are surely doomed, for we have not the food or water to make the longer journey. After those bandits came and robbed us of nearly everything we hold dear... we are at your mercy, Lord Kaen.”

Kaen would raise a single hand, wide and the open palmed, and he would turn his face downward. ”Please, such titles only belong to our Kage and his Sennin. I am but a servant in these trying times. But I understand, I will do what I must.” Previously Kaen has dispatched a group of clones to venture out towards the direction the sought only to find a massive Swarm encroaching ever closer to their mighty Village. Albeit the group of Unbent were sparse in placement the range in which they expanded was great. Kaen would need to cut a way through this sea of sand and unbent. ” What will you have us do, Kaen of Sunagakure? What is the plan?” Kaen would lock eyes with the village elder, intent and determination heavy within his eyes. ”I’m going to the front line and carving you a path through...”

As the elder Shinku sibling crested over a tall dune he would slow his pace to a halt. A sea of Unbent laid before him. There wasn’t really that many, at least for the hardened shinobi that he was. No, it was more dangerous for the group he was escorting on their exodus to Suna’s gates. Their elderly and small children would surely be caught up in the ensuing chaos that was the Swarm. They would not make it, and so he must draw the majority of the crowd some considerable distance from where he intended on having them cross. The village was not that far off from where they were now. Perhaps Kaen could have asked for assistance over his radio, but everyone else available were already undergoing their individual tasks, Kaen was alone.

With a plan in mind he would set it in motion by weaving a simple combination of signs. A plume of smoked erupted in front of him where two more Kaens appeared. [Specter Shade Mastered] ”I see... so you want us to go off in separate directions?” alone of the clones spoke, the second would follow. ”Yes, I believe his intention is to thin the crowd so to speak and draw the outer edges of Unbent away from the main area in which he will assault.” The main Kaen would nod in agreement. The plan was inherently simple, but pulling it off would primarily be luck. The pair of clones would disperse upon a commanding nod from Kaen.

Now for the actual plan of attack. Keeping to his own ways would prove useless and would doom the refugees. Fire had a weird way of being really bright and attracting all sorts of troubles. He would need to really on his taijutsu primarily. Fortunately Kaen had learned to not fully rely on his innate fiery prowess. A one trick pony was doomed to trick one too many times and be easily overcome by any dote with half a brain. Kaen would think on this as he watched his clones hard at work distracting and slowly drawing the out rim of the Swarm away from the center. Soon...

With his fists clenched he would dive into the fray. His clones were a safe distance away and there remained only a large handful of Unbent crawly across the sands before him. Without much delay, Kaen was upon the swarm, and they, in turn, were made aware of his presence and closed in around him. Using only his taijutsu Kaen would bounce from target to target. Fire would have proved easier perhaps, but he could not risk attracting more. Kaen was reckless in his assault and sustained a few attacks which quickly wore heavy on his stamina. Clutching a now bleeding arm Kaen would retreat up a hill to catch his breath. "When will it end?" Despite the constant culling of these beasts they continued to spring up from what seemed the very sands they stood upon. He would need to step things up a notch. Taking evasive maneuvers, Rejected Assualt Kaen would use the blood from his dripping arm and slam his other into the sand below. Instantly symbols spread across the sand and a large plume of smoke erupted upwards. (Summoned contract) As the dust settled a fully armored being would emerge. (Using senjutsu to merge with contract)

He had another ace up his sleeve, but this should suffice for mere Unbent, or at least the kind that he faced currently. Surely there were stronger types out there, but he got lucky this time. With his massive sword in hand he would plunge headfirst into the oncoming horde of monsters. What felt like vast amounts of time would have only been minutes, but finally he would emerge victorious without an Unbent in-sight, the keyword was in-sight...

As he would release his contract back to where it came from and relinquished the previously armored body, he would feel a twinge in his mind. It was the telltale sign that his clones were gone. Suddenly the memories came flooding back as his clones thoughts filled his own. What was meant to draw away only complicated things and attracted even more than before, and they were already on their way here. The two packs that had been drawn away were already upon him, closing in from both directions. There was not much time to think, and with such numbers, he would have to get very lucky to escape without harm. What was worse was they brought more stragglers that had been picked up along the way, now even more than before were here.

"Fine, have it your way! Kaen would explode with energy, attempting to attract every Unbent in the immediate area to his location. Kaen would flee for a time so as to ensure every one around was following him. Thankfully these things were simple beasts and not intelligent like certain other breeds may have been. They would not have noticed him charging up a final assault to befall them. Certain he had all he could, countless their numbers were, Kaen would declare his victory. "Now, take this you mindless fodder!" Kaen would raise both his hands high into the sky. At first nothing happened, but a moment later the entire sand-scape would erupt into chaos. (Desert Tendril Unleash [Mastered] Special action to target everything.) Viscous spears comprised of sand would erupt from the ground, impaling everything in sight.

Kaen would eventually return to the people he was safeguarding, not without fresh battle wounds of course. "Is it done, are we safe?" Kaen would slowly nod, obviously beaten and tired from taking on such numbers. "Yes, for now. I cannot promise the peace will last, but I can promise you and your people will arrive safely to Sunagakure." And so they did. They would find themselves at the gates in no time. Kaen would bid them all farewell and return to his superiors for further instruction on how to proceed. But not before stopping by home to get some much-needed healing from his sister.
