Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Today’s class, as he prepared, was not going to be his usual. This is under the pretext that what he considered a normal class by experience of when he received his training, was very much different. It was safe to even assume that it was of a completely different ideology. No one needs to learn by means of fearing death upon failure. Not today, at least.

Uri waited in one of the study rooms in the Bibliotheca Conscientiae, the village’s largest library. Normally, researchers spend days on end with massive archival research and bookwork here, but that wasn’t the intention for today. Uri had other things in mind, so he made sure to have sent the proper instructions for the selected students were appointed as his students of that day. He was already acquainted with the other, but there was a new name, a new face involved. That makes this a lot difficult as the gap between their knowledge and experience might prove to be a problem, but then, that was half of the intended exercise.

Those invited were to arrive in the library before eight in the morning, expecting to stay until sunset. They were already told of an hour’s break during lunch, but the rest of the time they were to stay indoors. They were to find the reception desk and get the library pass before they entered the library and search for the designated study room on the second floor. Inside, Uri was already waiting as he sat by the end of a long oak table that had blank papers stacked on it. He was eyeing the door, seemingly waiting, anticipating for when it would open. And of course, as this was not a masked mission, he would go by his pseudonym, Aoi-sensei.

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya)

Aya hadn't taken a class in a while, she'd been doing missions- or fighting Ji when she hadn't been working at the teahouse. STudying and training she found a way to fit it into her schedule. Aya was surprised that Uri - Aoi wanted her to attend a class. She'd rarely seen him since he was busy, and when he was with his lover, she pretended he didn't exist for the most part. She had no interest in witnessing such things, it seemed to scar Ji and Ryu already.

Aya made her way to the Library, she quickly found Aoi in the study room he was in. She didn't bring much, just water and something small to eat for lunch. Since Aya became an AiT she had changed a lot, mostly physically. She'd mature, lightened her hair color, and changed her style. Aya also had a few scars visible on her left arm from when she had a tussle with a demon.

Aya choose to make her hair lighter because blonde hair was a lot more common than orange. There were redheads, but not many Gingers. Aoi was the only other Ginger she knew, but he had the choice of a hood. Aya just wanted to make sure no one recognized her, not to account for the people from her past. What if one of the gangs she used to run with came for her? She would be harder to find if she changed her appearance. It was doubtful that'd ever happened. Maybe it would if they caught wind that she had become a Kunoichi.

Aya looked at Aoi with a small smile before sitting down. She was the first to arrive, so she took a seat. "Ey there, Aoi-Sensei. I assume you didn't invite just me." She stated in a light tone of voice. She'd be surprised if it was just her, but she doubted it. She wasn't special enough for that. The class was to last all day, better than working in the teahouse all day. A change of scenery is always nice after all. They obviously were not doing a battle exercise in here, maybe just basic paper stuff. Maybe he had a quiz for them. Who knew.

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

Miyako was heard coming a good deal before she was seen. Her heels gave her another two inches of height and also happened to make a lot of noise on the hard floors this building had. She came in just as Aya tried to strike up a conversation, practically skipping as her as her frilly dress bounced with every step. Her mere existence practically screamed for attention between the less than traditional dress, long hair that almost touched the ground, little red ribbons on almost everything she wore and the parasol she still insisted on carrying around everywhere 'just so the sun doesn't bother her delicate skin'.

Of course she'd brought lunch as well, a lovely little black wood bento box with her. She'd half considered not bringing lunch at all - it wasn't as if she'd really need to be here all day just to finish up one little lesson - but it was better to be safe than sorry. She might be asked to hep the others. After all this was just a formality. She had been one of the top scoring students of her year, perfect marks in every written test and this was the sort of thing that a student would come to, nothing that should challenge a proper genin. No, no, she was just here because she was the best and of course the Kagetsu were the benevolent sort of people to make appearances among the more common shinobi for the sake of appearances.

"Hope I'm not too early," she said with layered on sweetness as she took a seat, cutting off whatever conversation was about to begin without a single care written on her expression as she beamed at them. Folding one leg over the other and resting her hands in her lap she tilted her head at Uri as she told him, "If it's all the same to you, sensei, I'd prefer if we could get started as soon as possible. Wouldn't you agree?"

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

A class… it had been a while since his last class. To be fair, he hadn’t undergone a class since he got promoted, but a longing for a ‘return-to-the-roots’ enveloped his heart as he read Aoi’s letter… the name of a familiar shinobi who enrolled Honnou into his present duties. The Hyuuga boy was reading the letter whilst sitting at the wall of a random complex in the buzz of Kumogakure, his feet firmly attached to the vertical surface whilst his shoulder bag contained his headband, things and odd blue prints. His bluish, dazzling eyes took in the information given to him by the message, then looked up as Honnou eyed the Bibliotheca Conscientiae, the meeting place for today’s class. The building was large and easy to spot… or well, it appeared so for him specifically thanks to his Byakugan. Wasn’t it also there where his Chuunin Exam took place? He was positive that he graduated it under those roofs… and now, he was going to aid in holding a class. He felt mature in many ways.

… This would be his first involvement in a class where he wasn’t the student.

A wide smile growing on his face, he let out a sigh of joy as he leapt off the wall, seemingly falling to his death. From his carpal, a wired blade was released and aided him in swinging across the ‘floating’ village…

He had grown a little himself. He wasn’t so pathetically small anymore - his own bodily structure stretched a little from his previous size both in width and height, and he was entering the state of adolescence. He felt like an adult, all big and strong… but from the outside, anyone could assume how young he was. He hadn’t changed at all… Perhaps he needed a few more years in order to grow up the way he wanted.

He appeared to be the latest one who arrived as Aoi was present as well as two other women whom he hadn’t seen before. “Hi, everyone…” he greeted wholeheartedly yet troubled. He did a bow to them all out of respect before entering the room. His eyes kept shining white-bluish and would never turn off.

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

Ryuichi was told to meet for a class a few days prior to the current one, not being sparred the details. Of course, he had no complaints in this, between his own personal training along with his solo missions, he could use some more guidance to ensure he kept improving. He was currently walking down the streets of kumo in a steady, normal pace not being one to rush things. A recent rainstorm had passed through the night prior, filling the streets with puddles that reflected the grey-blue skies above. Within one of those reflections, Ryuichi caught a glance of himself, and noted a few things...

To start, he had grown a lot since he had started training with Uri. His previous diet consisting of nothing but one whole fish, and some milk every day didn't leave much nutrition for a young boy to grow. Now, with his sensei's planned eating schedules he had the nutrition needed to develop, and his recent growth spurt had proven this. His body was slim, but not nearly skinny enough to be ignored, and his face seemed to look exactly like his father's had in his own youth.

It took a few seconds of the young man looking in that puddle before snapping out of it, thinking to himself 'vanity can kill an ANBU. Being obsessed with looks can easily make you targetable. Plus, I have a schedule to keep.'

With that, he went on to the given location without much of a problem.

When he arrived he was met to three faces, two of which being familiar. Waving, Ryuichi would introduce himself using his own alias that he had thought to be beneficial when talking to the main branch, or common folk. "Hello everyone. I'm Ocha, but feel free to call me whatever you wish." He said, finding a wall to lean against. The white haired AiT had spent many hours in this place in search of control over his own natural affinity for fire ninjutsu. In doing so he had grown fond of the smell of ink, and paper.

Ryuichi took a few seconds to look between the two newer faces. His eyes glowing red with two tomoe circling his pupil. This, as well as his ANBU-honed ability to sense chakra easily helped him get a grasp on the general strength of the other people in the room. The one with a red streak in his hair who had arrived moments before himself seemed to be the strongest here aside from Uri, their current instructor. Possibly multiple times stronger than himself and Aya who were roughly the same level of power. Then the black haired girl, with the red frilly clothing...She had potential, but she was obviously either student or low genin, but her chakra seemed to carry a sinister air. it moved like the shadows of a tree born from a campfire. Something that could be honed to great power if she decided to truly go down this path.

Ryuichi's red eyes faded back to their golden shade, and he grinned. "Yeah. A good batch we got here Aoi-sensei. Though the difference between all of us means we probably won't be doing battle training.....who the hell am I kidding, I remember last time." He said with a shiver, awaiting the class to continue.

Re: Knowing... (Class/Aya, Miyako, Hon, Ryuichi)

Uri stares as more people entered the vicinity of the study room. Aya was first and he knew that she had questions pertaining to today's lesson. It was out of character for him to have them settle inside. Most of the time, they would have a battle-related class. That meant that they would be doing something other than beating the other. He would simply smile back to the girl and continue to wait. No sooner would an odd one appear. He didn't anticipate for her to be this... this way. He had gotten to see the dossier of the students today but this Kagetsu Miyako was truly something. He wondered if it had something to do with the bloodline. The next to arrive was his most recent addition to the anbu training, Honnou, whom he picked up soon after their little encounter in Sileo. And to finish it up was Ryuichi, who arrived just a minute late.

"Alright, let's start," Uri finally spoke as he stood up from where he sat. He didn't really interact with them during the wait and only spared glances to acknowledge their presence. Even the Kagetsu kid would experience this.

In any case, he was finally ready to get things started that he rounded the room and locked the door. Any other latecomer will have to plead him to open it. Back to the class, he gave them all one more silent glance before finally speaking. "Shinobi work isn't all about fighting. Today, we'll deal with something else that is required of you for when you're deployed in missions." He stared at Hon and Ryuichi for a bit, "You guys, included, so take your seats and grab a blank piece of paper. On it, you're to draw a map of your path that you took to get to this study room. No talking. You have five minutes."

And with that, Uri began pacing around the room just behind their seats.

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

Aya smiled at the girl who entered an interrupted her without a care in the world. She did not look like a Shinobi at all. "Hey, Aoi-sensei you should invite this one to one of our battle classes." She stated with a wink, though that might be too much for the child. Aya had started to get a little sassier over the past few months but was never disrespectful towards her sensei. She knew better than that. But she'd quickly focus her attention to the other two who entered, a boy she didn't know, and Ryu, who was going by Ocha... Aya didn't have a code name for her non-anbu side, so she just avoided introducing herself to new people now. She lived for years without a name, so she wasn't bothered by it.

Aya stood and hugged Ryu after he entered, given if he let her. "Hello, whatever you wish'" Aya said to Ryu in a teasing way with a smirk. She wouldn't call him that forever, because it was a mouth full but, she did like her japes. She then sat back down and grinned. It'd been a while since she'd seen him, usually, she was too busy training, studying, working or beating up Ji to socialize with the rest of her team. So she liked to enjoy every second she had with her team before she moved on to bigger things at least.

Aya wasn't made her change so much, but she didn't really think too much about it. She was being who she was, and not caring what others thought. Though she didn't act this way when she had the mask on when the mask was on she was a completely different person. Just like how Aoi was when he was alone with his lover, or at least thinks he's alone.

Aoi stood, and Aya's attention went straight back to him, pretty much ignoring anyone else at this point. Aoi knew more than anyone that Aya could pretend people didn't exist extremely well. Once he was done and told them to get the papers, Aya nodded and used her Seikon speed to grab a paper, and sit back down in a matter of nanoseconds. Ryu with his Sharingan was probably the only one that could see her move, but by the time anyone was grabbing the paper, she was already drawing the path. She made sure to lay down the basic path, then add details quickly. She spent most of her free time in this place so it was pretty easy to remember.

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

Half past seven in the morning, while most were supposedly preapring for a class today, Arata was too busy being his usual self. He was laying in bed, all cuddled up with his pillows and blankets. It was pretty warm and comfortable to say the least, but he unfortunately couldn't stay there all day. He left bed to get a cup of water for his dehydrating body, just to notice a ray of sun slipping through the curtains. It was five o'clock at least, he still has three hours for today's class. He drank the cup and went back to bed, a bit uneasy. Actually, more than a bit, he couldn't fall asleep without checking the time. He lifted his head to look at the clock, "Oh no, I overslept!" He shouted and jumped off bed without giving it a thought, he started getting stressed, but he quickly realised that it is not a problem. "A little more sleep wouldn't hurt~" He cutely went back to bed cuddled up with all the warmth in there for a little longer.

Next time he looked at the clock, it was twenty to eight, he started leaving bed and got ready for class. He was runnung late, he put into account that he is running late, actually, he is always running late. But this time, he wasn't planning on missing out half of the class. This one could be exciting, according to what he is heard. That teacher was going to put him into a battle! He had been waiting on this chance for years, his patience was so little for the past day, when he learned a little about the teacher whom he was invited to attend his class two days prior. He left ten minutes before class would start and headed to the library. He walked at only his leisure, there was no point in rushing. Fortunately, his "leisure" got him there at less than quarter an hour, only around five minutes late. He was too excited, walking there and buying food on they way was a pain, he rushed through it anyway.

He walked through the halls at the library, surrounded by all the books. None of them looked like ultimate ninja scrolls. What he had been hearing was getting quite questionable by now, but he couldn't through his excitement anyway. Arata was so dense that he started coming up with stories to keep his excitement up. He found the room he had been looking for, that should be the one. He opened the door, expecting traps set there for the late comer, bet decided to fall into them to see what they've got. However, he easily entered the room with no trouble. Everyone looked at him strangely, however. It took him a moment to realize, he had walked into the wrong room. Arata quickly apologized and left the room awkwardly, then continued walking through the halls looking for the right room.

"Aha! That's gotta be the one!" Otherwise, there is no class actually. That is the only one in here he hasn't checked. He was now ten minutes late. Arata hurried towards the door and opened it, but it was late. That was clearly a trap, he knew he'd be up against one when he reaches the right place. He could knock on the door, as there was clearly some people inside, but that must be what they're waiting of him, that's what any person would do. He had to prove he wasn't born to be any person, he is a shinobi of the cloud.

Eleven past eight, Arata was in the view of everyone looking outside the window. The room was rounded and the teacher was explaining what the students should do, which he hardly managed to hear. He knocked on the window, with a little Innocent smile on his face. If anyone heard the glass and looked at him, he was wave at them and make a signal for them to open the window.

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

Not even in here a minute and half the room had already touched one of Miyako's nerves. The things she did for the sake of her family. Her time was valuable and she was going to be spending it with these miscreants all day long. Of course her parents would be hearing about the appalling learning conditions at the academy if this was what it'd become in the short time since she'd graduated. She kept on a smile through it all even if the look in her one visible eye was like that of poisoned honey. She was smiling and her gaze was bright but behind those yellow eyes one could almost see what terrible, terrible thoughts she was having about her company.

On the top of her list at the moment was the blonde, common looking girl who strode in. Acting all buddy buddy with the sensei, clearly fishing for better marks before they even got started. Her kind needed all the help she could get. Then there was the cheeky little comment about the 'battle classes'. Was that a threat -- or worse, a challenge? And how dare she speak so informally! It was unbelievable how much the people outside the clan lacked common decency.

Then there was the white haired boy. He spoke as good as could be expected from these sorts of people if not a bit more vulgar than needed but it was his gaze that bothered her. The audacity, the nerve to set that devil's gaze on her. She'd heard all about that infernal clan from the Fire Country but unlike her own potent blood theirs was filled with the insidious power of genjutsu. Cowards hiding behind illusions, doing who knows what to people's minds. And here he was, scanning the room with them bold as brass, trying to size them up. She couldn't hide her distaste as she dared to glance his way. Such an insidious mongrel...

Even the sensei wasn't without fault. He was to the point, as she'd requested, but it would have been worth the extra time just for him to get some order in this place. He should drop the hammer on some of these brutes, the blonde most of all. The only person with an ounce of dignity was the child. He wasn't late, he wasn't a loud mouth and he even knew how to bow even if it was sloppy. She took a long, deep breathe to center herself and brace for the day ahead of her.

When the lesson proper started she wanted to laugh at how easy it was. A simple memorization and recreation test based on details they wouldn't have been focusing on when they came here? Maybe these dull little people would have trouble with it but she already had it completed in her mind. She produced a pencil and began drawing up a storm, keeping all the lines nice, neat and accurate as she charted out most of what she knew of the building before plotting her prior course.

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

Yes, Honnou most definitely needed to learn all the new faces to know. Last time that he was in the bibliotheca, he knew everyone - Suika, Eishi, Ikko, Kyo, Sayomi, Minako - but the only one he knew here was Uri. This would be an opportunity to, at the very least, get a glimpse of their expressions and, with the infamous help of ‘assumptions’, get a first impression. Now, Uri didn’t count - he was fire boy. That man had already been established in Honnou’s psychical biography collection. He would wave back at the white-haired boy - who, in this case, wasn’t Kiri given the strong similarity - and as such, his name was already revealed to be Ocha… hah, like the whale- or wait, that was orca. Not Ocha…

Perhaps he should just take a seat before things got even more awkward with him and his name-comparisons… besides, neither the blonde-haired lady nor the raven-haired mistress revealed their names - and for the record, neither did he! What was he on about?!

Quickly finding a seat next to the window, he would find a piece of paper and a pen. Uri had eyed him and Orca specifically, and given by his request, this smelled like tracking exercise. Why did it smell like that, though? Well, the moment Honnou was to begin drawing his path, he realized just how third-dimensional that he had been on his way here. From the Susukino District all the way to this seat, he had been walking, running, jumping and swinging like a monkey. His path was more than just a few lines across some buildings, they were… they were vectors, third-dimensional vectors often overlapping each other. He would need to draw from point one - the complex where he eyed the bibliotheca from - and try and draw it in a 3D plot.

It looked well until now… he would need to shrink his drawings, but he managed to make a 3D plot of what looked like a snake from afar, but was in reality the roads and buildings around said roads that he passed by. Once when reaching higher levels through his swinging exercises, he drew small lines that always got attached to a building and ended in the middle of the path - that would be his wires which he hung on. Then, in order to clarify it for his teacher, he drew small lines that were parallel to the axes - x, y and z - to reveal that we were talking about a third-dimensional plan.

A figure appeared on the other side of the window before a knock could be heard. Without even lifting his head, Honnou kept writing for a brief second before lifting his head and eying Uri to signal the latest student. Despite not having laid an eye on him, the new boy was raven-haired too, just like the fine maiden… but what was with knocking on the window?

His drawing was almost done when he was distracted by that person…

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

Ryuichi nodded in response to Uri's commands for this class, and walked to the front on the classroom to grab a paper a few seconds after his blonde team mate's burst of speed. Ryuichi was mostly aware of Uri's train of thought when it came to these classes, recalling the path that he had taken to arrive here.

If the white haired boy's assumptions were correct, this class had several factors involved. While at face value it seemed as if this was simply a test of remembering key details that didn't seem important at the time, this was also a key part of any shinobi mission involving enemy nin.

Ryuichi drew out not only his painfully basic route that consisted of six straight lines, he recalled the general area he had been in, including it in the map. Should this be a mission, this is where it becomes important. Not only would you need to know what possible path an enemy ninja could have taken, but you must also find a way to utilize your previous actions in a way to confuse any followers.

To illustrate this, the white haired lad would use the side of his pencil to shade in areas of cover, possible better routes, and what route an enemy ninja could take in order to track him. When he was finished it looked the least impressive of the group's, considering his garbage drawing skills, yet he had a generally good feeling that he had grasped the point of this class.

He would surely look like a fool if this wasn't the case, sadly.

With that thought he simply walked to where Uri was standing, and handed him the paper filled with his chicken scratch map.

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

The class would soon seemingly finish their task. They better. They were only afforded five minutes, after all. And while this was happening, Uri felt the presence behind closed doors. He made no attempt to address it. It felt weak and best to be ignored. He paced around the room again before he stopped just before the window. He felt the same aura again and no sooner would a face appear, seemingly hanging and knocking. He didn’t even have to knock as Uri was already staring at his direction, keeping a rather cold gaze. Not amused at all. And so, he did the one thing he thought appropriate… he suddenly slammed his hand against the glass, careful not to break the panel but let his chakra flow through like an invisible force to slap the latecomer. He’ll see if this boy was persistent or simply give up.

Turning his attention back to the rest, after having been shown Ryuichi’s highly prize… scribble, Uri sighed as he walked back to the head of the table and then presented Ryuichi’s work of art to the rest of those in the classroom. “It appears you’re all done. That’s good. Now, from now on, please exchange your work of art with the person to your right.” That saying, Uri gave Ryuichi’s paper to Miyako, then Miyako would give hers to Aya, then Aya would give hers to Hon, and Hon would give his to Ryuichi. “Now, would you kindly please read and explain the map to the rest of the class. You have five minutes to study the map, interpret and then another five minutes to explain the details to everyone. Don’t consult the owner of the drawing. Rather, asses from their work the value of the map as well as its potential and flaws.”

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

Aya drew out her map as best she could, it was as accurate as she could make it, but not perfect. It was readable. She was done pretty fast since she just drew the route inside the building, a little outside but far from where she started. Aoi said nothing about the full route, though she only thought of that after the fact. TOo late now.

She handed her paper to Hon, one of the children in this class. Miyako's was given to her. Aya stood after five minutes of studying the map. It was detailed and had clean lines, but maybe a bit too detailed, since most people would need more than five minutes to figure everything out about it. AYa actually didn't get the girls name, so she'd just have to call her by she/her. "So she started at the entrance of the building, She took a left, went to the desk, then went up the stairs, took another left, and ended up here. This map has clean lines, it's detailed, and is pretty accurate. The only flaw I can see is, it might a bit too detailed, If this was a map for out on the field of battle, we'd have a lot less time to comprehend the map, five minutes is too long out in a life or death situation. So only the basics would be needed, but other than that, it'd be good for anything else." Aya explained then sat back down.

Aya assumed that they were drawing maps for planning, and strategy tactics. When raiding a building its best to have a blueprint, but if you don't have access to one then the scout would draw one up on the fly. In those situations, time is everything, the person drawing it would draw enough detail to get a grip, but leave out any unnecessary details.

Aya looked at the next person in line, Miyako. She wondered if the kid outside the room was going to join them, maybe he'd get discouraged and runoff. Aoi wasn't too kind to those who were late...

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

Miyako's toes positively curled in her shoes with delight when she heard the teacher's instructions for the next step. A chance to publicly critique another's work in public? And it belong to the red eyed devil no less. Now suddenly this class was looking like a worthwhile use of her time. When she actually got her hands on the map itself she became flushed with excitement, barely able to restrain her sinister little chortles as she looked at it. It was like the boy had gone out of his way to write a big target on his back. It was too good an opportunity to miss.

She poured over it, visibly shaking in her seat as she waited for the five minutes to be over. She wanted to be the first one to speak but that blonde commoner girl beat her to the punch much to her annoyance. She'd been forced to hand her map over to her and already she was expecting some unfair criticism. She was not disappointed. Glaring daggers at the girl she privately questioned how a map could be -too- detailed. Precision was everything, one missing detail was one blind spot in your set up and all the enemy needed was that one blind spot to exploit. But what could she expect from a less skill shinobi. Any strategist worth their salt could make use of what she'd created, she obviously just lacked the wits to process it in a timely manner.

There was barely a second's pause before Miyako shot out of her seat, clutching the map she was reviewing. "I'll go next, sensei!"

Turning the map over in her hands she showed it off to everyone else as she told them, "It was a good choice on sensei's part to give this one to me because nobody else in this room would have been able to make sense of it. This is the work of someone who should still be in the academy, not a full fledged graduate. Nobody other than the creator could make sense of such nonsense. You could probably find five dozen locations in the village alone that match the rough shape of this. I'm not even sure he was trying."

She said all of this with a playful glee in her voice, having no trouble ripping apart someone else's work and in fact seeming to revel in it. Once she was done she sat back down, a rather proud grin on her face as she asked in a job well done.

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

While everyone was working on their maps, Arata watched from outside while knocling on the window. They apparently hadn't noticed him. The knocks got louder everytime, but it all went in vain. He started sticking his face to the window while knocking, hoping someone would notice. That's what he saw people do when they're trying to get someone's attention from behind a window, anyway. For some reason, he wasn't noticed at all though. He knocked louder, he puffed his cheeks and pressed them against the window, but that teacher was too busy looking at the other student! Was he not a student of his in this class to?! It has already been a half minute since he was there too!

Arata eventually got bored of trying to get old geezer sensei's attention and gave up, "He's probably too old he can't see without glasses anymore." He stared at him for a moment longer, before looking else where. He started waving to the students one after another, waiting for anyone to notice home and maybe point him out for the old geezer teaching this class. But no matter how hard he tried, they, too, ignored him. Was he not a cloud shinobi(-to-be) too? Did he not deserve as much teaching as them all? Why was he the one left out? These people were getting on his nerves! Fortunately, he was answered not long after. Finally.

Out of no where, Arata could see a hand get in his view. It was clearly about to open the window, he was getting to enter the class, "Yay!" From the other side, he looked like he was stupidly just friendly smiling at the teacher. He thought Aoi was had just noticed him and going to let him in the class. Poor thing, he was shocked with a slap from the window. He lost his balance and hopped off to the ground before that was no longer an option. He was safe for the most part, no injuries, but he was on fire from the inside. "WHAT'S WITH THAT OLD MAN? WHY DID HE DO THAT?!! Arata started beating up inanimate objects angrily for a little while shouting angrily and hating on everything and everyone.

He didn't go up again the next little, he may have seemed like he did run off after getting that beating from this strict teacher. Even when the test was almost over, he didn't appear. However, it wasn't that he couldn't, but that he decided not to before the last moment. That when the students were told to give their maps to each other. The knocking started again, and there he was, behind that same pane of glass, with a paper hin his. He apparently got the easiest test. He had written on his paper, "I didn't get into the room yet :3". He showed some promise though, his handwriting, except for the emojis, could probably not, not even by the best of spot the difference players, be differentiated from a med-nin's. If nothing interrupted the flow of his thoughts, Arata would probably realise a huge problem, which he would need to discuss with the teacher again. He turned the paper to himself and started writing one more time, before showing it to the class again. "Who do I show it too? <.>"

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

As the presentation began, Uri caught on the change of aura and, in effect, the mood of the room. He could tell that everyone was having a moment to consider the assigned task at hand. Whether it was for nervousness or excitement, he didn’t bother to care. He would know soon enough as they reported. Aya began and he saw that others quickly paid attention, or somehow frowned. He could tell from the brief glimpse of her personality that the new face in this classroom, the girl with the parasol, the student who was a Kagetsu, was trying her hardest to contain her excitement and for that moment to be stolen from her only made her seemingly dark mood grow… darker. Luckily, Aya ended her report and the parasol girl took her turn, quickly speaking up, offering herself and then began to criticize Ryuichi’s work. He glanced at the boy, hoping he wasn’t a feisty one, or else they’d be clashing far too much. And it was still early too.

At that point, Uri felt the familiar presence from earlier. He looked back at the window and watch the kid with his paper. He sighed and then walked towards the window pane once more, and slammed a hand against the pane. Again, he was careful not to break the glass, but this time he didn’t let out a shockwave of energy. Instead, he kept a good long stare at the boy. Strangely enough there was something that formed on the glass along where his palm was set. A blue flame was forming on the other side of the window pane, right where the boy was and the flame moved along the glass. At a simple glance, it could be random, but then a long observation would see that it was forming the words. [Book] [Tactics] [Search] [Report] [Hour]

It went on repeat for three times and whether the boy understood or not was up to him. Then, he removed his hand while releasing another wave of aura to hit the boy like another slap to the face and enough force to shove him off again.

[Note: don’t mind this. This is to allow Arata another round of post to catch up with the rest. The reporting continues]

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

Oh? They were supposed to give it to their classmate after having finished the map, and… wait… Honnou began worrying a lot now. He had to think; given by how much effort he put into his drawing, would Uchiha compliment it or deem it too detailed to be efficient in a real-life scenario? Was it too 3D? But then again, then again… remember, the Uchiha boy’s eyes were just as benevolent as his own, so perhaps he would prove to be the perfect person to give his oddly blueprinted map to. He was lucky not to have given it to someone who were deemed more simple, like how Miyako criticized Ryuichi’s paper… was it really that bad? Hon could only relate to that guy, given only having known him for approximately 9 minutes - plus his chakra concentration around his eyes, which just spew out the words ‘Uchiha’ - Hon was assured that Uchiha’s map might have been… his thoughts stopped for a second.

He could never assume like that. Instead of focusing on reading a person, he was more sure by focusing on reading the drawing itself; once Miyako darted up from her chair, Hon got a glimpse of Uchiha’s paper… and that would be his little secret for today. Take that, reader…

That curious boy from outside the window was rather appointing the fact that he was to enter this class - given his bodily expressions and attitude, he seemed a little too childish with his late arrival and all. Then again, Hon was childish as well - to his own degree. And what kept the boy from arriving late was a mystery, too; not something that his eyes could see… although he could clearly see the text from his paper ‘I didn’t get into the room yet :3’. Hahahahaha… he was a funny one, indeed.

Once when Miyako was done smothering her dissatisfaction over the map that she was holding, Hon stood up from his seat, signaling his turn now. “I’ll be taking the word now.” Gently slapping the paper with the back of his hand, he prepared his speech: “At first, I found it strange that the path written by… w-who was it again- oh, yeah, blonde-neesan, but yeah; the path starts already right outside this entire building and its territory. I expected, at first, a complete path from her home to this place, but… it’s actually very smart for her to start drawing her path from right outside. It makes it harder to read… or rather, decrypt…”

He, himself, had started drawing from a random place in the main district that was too familiar with all Kumonin, if not all that had ever visited Kumogakure. However, he had to put this into perspective now; what if they were in a tracking mission, having a syndicate on their asses? They would need a splendid map that showed the path that they took, but it would also require a composition that would make it even more difficult for enemies to read it if they ever got their hands on the map to begin with. Example; you buried a treasure deep in the forest outside of Kumo, and you drew the path to said treasure. Everybody knew that a treasure map had to hold its own mysteries that only those who wrote it and those whom the information had been shared with knew of. If he was a treasure burier, he would definitely make it a little difficult to read the map - perhaps make it into a riddle or only draw specific checkpoints that only he knew of - and then rely on his memory and the hints in the map to reunite with his treasure again.

Simply put; making the map harder to read felt awesome to him.

“A nice line that goes from the entrance to here is nicely put, although I’d say that it would be difficult to find out whether you should go up or down… given this place and its size… you know… uhh, I’m quite worried about my own map now…” His last words revealed worry to his own, ‘creative’ 3D map that Uchiha-lad held… despite his previous thoughts, he was genuinely worried…

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

Ryuichi knew his fate was sealed the moment they had to pass their papers to other members of the class, letting out a heavy sigh. Of course when the smug girl went on a tirade about his drawing capabilities he seemed visibly upset, raising a hand. "Ya see here I have no question that I'm a terrible map drawer, but I guarantee you're not the only one here that can read it. There is no need to put the other classmates, and our teacher below you. I suggest from here on out that you take your own words under better consideration before you go and insult a room full of trained killers. Imagine if the scenario were different, and there were nin who didn't care if you were a kumo ninja. Enemies." He stated, already done with the topic. If that didn't get her to think twice before crossing him again, he didn't know what would aside from...life threats. He would like to believe be was above that, though.

With that out of the way he tuned out the surrounding area to glance over honnou's map, becoming extremely impressed in a matter of seconds. This thing was done with a lot of effort put into it. This would be completely useless as a field map, but it had so much potential.

When it was Ryuichi's turn to speak he raised a hand and stood, turning the map to the others. "This is useless as a field map. Cut and dry. It's too hard to decipher exactly where this is at a glance due to the three dimensional scape. However, a drawing like this is unbelievably useful for investigation, or prediction missions. Being able to see possible routes an enemy has taken can help an investigation beyond measure." He turned to the boy he got the paper from and waved it around between two fingers. "I'm jealous of ya. If you can do it this well, I guess I gotta up my game." He said to him.

Ryuichi's chakra vision wasn't nearly as defined as a byakugan user's, and even less so when he had only unlocked two tomoe of his sharingan. He had no clue the kid was of hyuuga decent, and that only fueled his impressed look even more. Seeing this drawn out so well, as well as showing it off to the others washed out the sour taste left behind by the black haired girl, and hopefully it would do the same for the others. When he was finished he folded the map in half, and handed it back to the maker.

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

As the class continued, Uri would get a feel on the way the people in class felt of the situation, and of each other. No doubt that the Kagetsu girl has riled up the people in class, but that doesn’t mean it was to be met with violence. Uri was just moving behind Ryuichi when the latter ended his speech before he gave the boy a good headchop. “A good warning is enough. I don’t need you blatantly threatening your classmates. If you’re still hot tempered after this session, I can fix it for you at the coliseum. But now’s not the time.” With that warning, Uri scanned the room, glancing each and everyone.

“Alright. Good analysis to a certain extent. I made you all analyse the maps of your classmates, not because I want you harass them,” he said, glancing at Miyako, “But also not to simple admire and profess your undying amazement,” he lightly whacked Ryuichi at the back of his head. Uri circled the table once more and stood by the head of it and then continued. “The point of the exercise is to know that whether you’re highborn, a nobody, or even just a civilian, there will be unexpected events when you’ll be put to the test. A map is a way to rediscover your observation skills. You don’t have to genius of art in order to convey a message, but you can’t convey a message if it’s just sticks on a paper. You need to be firmly aware of your surroundings, because it’s not skill in sketching that is put to the test, but your memory. While most of you have shown the direction of your path, you failed in a basic mapping test for shinobis. Anyone can make a map, but as a shinobi, you must not forget… exactly how many people did you encounter along the way. Where were they scene or stationed? What time of the day is it? What intricacies are observable in the surroundings? These may sound so pathetic and extra, but what makes a shinobi recon map’s different from your normal map is that it must have data. If you’re lost, look to the sky and follow the star. That’s your eternal map. But if you have a mission, you don’t want to be looking at rooms, at walls, at corridors… you want to know how many you need to bypass, who you are looking for, what are the conditions, etcetera.”

He paused and then sighed before finally clapping his hands together and smiled. “Now then, to the next and final task of the day. Seeing as how you saw the flaws, you all must now address the owner of the map and give them advise on how to improve their mapping skills based on your criteria… that is to say, you must first say what your criteria of a map is and then give your advise. I implore you all to give positive and constructive criticism if you can’t possibly give an advise… but know this… if you cannot find a way to give an advise to a work you find sloppy… then that’s the extent of your potential leadership skill. No matter what, a leader will always be able to find words to speak. If you can’t because of your pride or inadequate knowledge, then that’s a wake up call for you. You’re no longer kids the moment you decided to play the shinobi game.”

Re: Knowing... (Class/Arata, Aya, Miyako)

Aya watched the next person after her, which was the little girl who came prancing in here like she owned the place, she also was glaring daggers at Aya the entire time. She never introduced herself, so Aya didn't know her name. But aya wasn't one to speak because she did not say who she was either. This little girl proceeded to belittle Ocha, which wasn't the point of the lesson. She was obviously one of those people. Aya hated her kind, but unlike Ocha, Aya wasn't even going to bother saying anything. No point, her kind doesn't listen to anyone, they think they are the best and that's that. They don't care about anyone but themselves, and the wealth they hold. Aya wasn't 100% sure that the girl was wealthy, but with her attitude, and the way she dressed, it just screamed it.

Aya was going to just ignore this girl since she wanted nothing to do with her type. It was best for her sanity, after all, someone like this little girl could turn someone insane if they weren't careful. After Ocha's little outburst, he looked proud of himself, but Aoi smacked him on the head. Ocha did threaten her life after all. Aya would fight her to punch some sense into the girl, but she'd probably think that she was too good for that, or hire someone to fight for her.

Aya looked at Hon as he explained her map, AYa knew there were problems but she didn't understand what he meant by up or down. She indicated the stairs, but indoors she wasn't jumping over the bookshelves. Maps were 2D so it made no sense to put up or down, especially indoors, the most there is, was the stairs. She shrugged it off.

Ocha started to read off Hon's map and said it was useless, then said it was useful when it came to investigations? Ocha showed the map, from what Aya could see... it looked like a bunch of scribbles... Aya set her elbows on the table and put her head in her hands. Aoi started explaining that class and told them what to do next. He pointed out something Aya didn't even think of, marking possible enemies.

Aya doubted this snob would listen to anything she had to say about her map, so Aya just handed her back the map. She'd be surprised if she took it back since it had her gross poor people germs all over it. "Just like Aoi sensei said, mark people on the map." That's all Aya said to the girl. She then turned to Hon, Aya chose to ignore whatever the girl had to say to her since she was in no mood to listen to any insults she may have. She waited for Hon's critique. As soon as she got it, then she could leave. If Aoi had a problem with her leaving as soon as she could, then he could tell her in person.
