Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kyo had been spending several hours a day the last several months in the Bibliotheca Conscientiae, in the various history and folklore sections of the library. In passing in one of the books he had been reading at home their had been mention of a master of the Eight Gates and the amazing feats of taijutsu he had been capable of pulling off. Unfortunately, the library hadn't had the source that the book had cited, but Kyo was as always tenacious, relentless in the pursuit of things that he felt would better himself. As such he had been reading a vast plethora of books, well skimming them, looking for more mention of the man and his exploits and how he had been capable of performing his actions, and more on the Eight Gates. There were many stories of superhuman exploits, though not all of them lead anywhere or provided anything of real value to what the boy actually wanted, but of all of those that did, they all pointed to removing limits and natural barriers through some type of training, and that they were all extremely fit, had specific diets, and an extremely harsh training regime that they supposedly went through utilizing heavy chains and weighted garments, most often being called the way of the fist. One had to exhaust their body and their chakra, one text spoke of a specific form of training, one of the only specific mentions of a training regimen at all, it required the use of a enhanced water that removed the ache from a persons muscles, and that person would run 100 laps around a great building, in this case it was the coliseum of a village that wasn't specified. First they ran keeping their left hand in contact with the wall, running as hard as they were capable of, pushing their body as far as they can, after each lap they drank a bottle of the enhanced water, apparently it would allow them to continue with minimal pain as they did this, then after the first fifty laps they would turn about and run keeping their right hand in contact with the wall for their final fifty laps. The trainee was encouraged to utilize strength enhancing jutsu's to keep going if they felt that they could not. They were expected to exhaust their charka before moving on to the next stage of training. As he continued to read he discovered the weight of the garments as well as the size of the arena that they spoke of, there was a twenty pound sash, two twenty pound wrist wraps and a set of two twenty pound leg wraps that one was to were while performing this training, and that the arena was an oval shape measuring one hundred meters by sixty meters and was covered in sand rather than a hard packed ground that one would usually run in, increasing the difficulty of the task even farther. Unfortunately the text wasn't continued, the latter portions of it where missing after the training, it cut off right before mentioning the results of the opening of the first gate, though it did contain the rest of the training that the person had undergone before they were able to open the first gate. There appeared to be a lot of mediation involved as well as the harsh training, the latter of which he was somewhat used to performing, but he former he had only limited experience with. He took some time to find relevant books on the subject of mediation, they would be useful for his training, and it was better than bugging someone about trying something that seemed more like a fairy-tale, less likely to be looked down upon too.

With the knowledge he had gained, and the books he had used it, he left the library, checking them out with him. He would be studying them more in depth in the future as he attempted to replicate what was contained with in them. He would need to speak to someone about the charka enhanced water, it was outside his realm of expertise, it sounded like something a mednin would know about, and thus his next step would be speaking to one about how to obtain it, and what he needed to do for it. He apparently needed at least one hundred glasses of it, which was something like six gallons, not a small amount by any means.
