Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

A few days after arriving and being allowed inside Konohagakure, Tomomi was standing inside the coliseum, also known as Kitsune Park, awaiting an individual to come forth into the battlefield to accept her challenge that she threw out a day or so ago. This challenge was a rather simple one as she wanted to engage what a shinobi actually was and how this population of them were able to fight. Originally, she was going to simply spectate some fights that likely would have occurred in these grounds to satisfy her curiosity, but she was a member of the police force of her village and seeing how she matched up against other individuals from around the world could prove beneficial for her personal mission that she originally set out on this journey for.

While she waited, she had to ponder if Miss Kami who had been her escort since entering the village would show up to spectate or join in this contest as she was not supposed to leave Tomomi out of her sights unless she was staying somewhere for an extended amount of time like her room. A letter had been left for the shinobi to tell her where Tomomi was and what she was planning to do, but it was ultimately up to her to show up or not. The fact that the half-breed from Tomoe Country had ventured from where she was staying to Kitsune Park without the redheaded kunoichi at her side could be cause for concern, but Tomomi truly did not mean harm to the Hidden Leaf nor its people. She merely wanted to explore and learn as much as she could about the village while she stayed before heading off elsewhere in the world to gather more information and utilize in the way that she saw fit.

Within ten or so minutes after her arrival, the sun would set in the sky and a cool breeze would blow through the grounds causing her hair to blow in the wind. It was during this time that she would check over her body to ensure that she had everything that she would need for this simple sparring contest against a shinobi of this world before looking down at her right ring finger where her mother's spirit was inside of the silver band. She wondered if Ainu, her mother, would join the contest when someone decided to show up or if she would sit back and see what her daughter could do since it would be the first true time that she saw her daughter engaging in any form of combat. Regardless, Tomomi knew that she could handle anyone that came into these grounds if she was able to withstand various forms of torture back home and having her body destroyed simply to become a weapon for her village.
OOC:
  • This fight will be open to anyone that wants to spectate! Please follow the spectating rules which is making another thread to watch though.
  • Kokonotsu Kami has been notified of this event.
  • My opponent has already been predetermined, but if anyone would want to spar afterwards, feel free to contact me!
  • As discussed, this fight will have no death as it is just for fun.

A Call to action, something had been stirring within Yasu for quite sometime. And this muddled feeling led to a sensation that needed to be quenched. A thirst of sorts, but he'd made sure to keep tabs on the new woman that had entered into the village. He had heard she was looking for a spar, and who better. However, he could not enter into her presence as an ANBU, if he were to fall in this fight he would not wish to make the ANBU look bad or potentially make the branch look bad in doing so. However, he would shake any thoughts of losing here... HE wasnt brought up in the fear of loss. He relished the moments that would lead him to the absolute edge of his abilities. For someone to be able to take him out that wasnt on the level of a Sennin or the Hokage, would be reprehensible, something that Yasu would not take lightly.

So he would go to his home looking to make sure he got himself battle ready, even thinking up some strategy against his opponent. However... How could one prepare for someone he did not know. There was so much going into this that he was looking forward to finding out. Yasu's waist band held the symbol of his village as he strapped his shinobi tools to his holster. He made sure everything was delicately planned. His clothes, style and all things didnt match his persona as an ANBU. Chinmoku was silent unless he was teaching. Forever watching, learning and mulling. Many people in ANBU may never have seen Yasu's real face connected to ANBU, as he was that diligent about keeping appearances. Going as far as to mount a voice changer in his mask to ensure people didnt pick up on his voice... Then again he'd not met a Hashigaki so he was safe enough.

Yasu on the other hand, was a very outspoken chain smoker, he wore a painted face to cover the blemishes of battle but the war paint empowered him to a degree... he'd forgotten when he even started wearing it, or who he'd gotten the idea from. It was just apart of him now, Painted Faces fended off the dead. Or so he thought.

Alas, he'd finally showed up, but had it only been three days or so that the woman had entered the village, and she was looking for a battle? 'She's eager to show her might? Or is it something else...' Yasu would leap down from the bleachers before kneeling before her a safe distance away. Only standing to his feet as his ravenous hair fell over his face,</FONTFACE>
<FONTFACE fontface="palatino"> "...Hm, Where are you from miss... Cant say that I've seen anyone that looks like you around these parts. Maybe a travelling cousin of one of our clansmen?" Yasu would inquire, maybe being able to find more information out as he would continue.

"...Any rules of engagement? Or are we going all out within reason of this arena?"

A few more minutes would pass on the battlefield until an opponent officially appeared from the bleachers with raven-like hair and a face that was mysteriously black and white. His dress attire was almost the same as his face as it was a darker texture, but his waistband bared the emblem of the Hidden Leaf symbolizing his affiliation to this village and someone that appeared to have taken her request for a simple sparring contest to gauge how shinobi fought in this world. In all honesty, this would be her first time engaging with someone whom considered themselves a shinobi in combat and it was going to be a rather interesting to discover what one was capable of in this world. Prior to this assumed challenger, she had engaged with others that considered themselves shinobi, but she had never seen them in combat or truly seen any of their skills in action; it was more of them talking about what they could do and boosting their egos in the process in her mind.

Regardless, this rather fascinating-looking individual would address her directly asking her the rules of their engagement and where she was from which were both reasonable things to ask since she was quite a mystery to many of them in this village and they likely did not know what her motives were for being here ultimately. However, she truly had no alternative motives than what she mentioned at the gates of Konoha a few days prior. She merely wanted to take in the sights and sounds of a hidden village while seeing how their military fought and trying some new things. Any information that she could obtain and absorb to take with her on her journey in the world prior to returning home would be most beneficial to her. As for this strangers' questions, she would simply look at him with the same cold, distant look on her face as she displaced for a majority of her life as her words left her mouth as cold as her face gave off: "I am Murakami Tomomi of Tomoe Country. I have no relation to anyone from around here."

There would be a moment of silence between them before she would continue her response to him giving off the same tone and demeanor as she did only a few moments ago: "For our spar, I wish to fight someone from the Hidden Leaf to see what a shinobi is as that concept is foreign to me. As you said yourself, go all out as I do not plan to be passive, but be assured that I mean no harm to you or your village. First though, what is your name?" As she finished, her body language shifted ever so slightly as she tilted her head a few centimeters to one side waiting to hear what this black-and-white individual had to say in response.

While they had begun their conversation, her escort had arrived and positioned herself a distance back from the battlefield itself to likely avoid getting involved or harmed during this sparring session. It was obvious that it was Kami as she was wearing a red leather jacket that screamed for attention and her red hair complimented it quite well which caused her to stick out like a sore thumb in a crowd if there was a crowd. So far, it was only her and this male-sounding individual in front of Tomomi that had decided to come per her request. However at the very least, her escort could not get in trouble for letting her out of her sights even if fighting a shinobi of the Hidden Leaf could potentially cause some other issues. But, Tomomi would deal with that when they came as right now, she wanted to only do one thing: test a shinobi and see their strength and skills in action.

Whistles of the howling winds that covered the area seemed to interject itself in the midst of the silence between the new friend and foe. This would be a weird bout, but he was definitely going to be finding himself in deep trouble if he couldnt get a read on this woman before the fight would begin, alas, there would be something he would speak up about, maybe now... maybe later, but a thought crossed through Yasu's head. 'Tomoe Country? Like the level of sharingan? Or... is it something else?' Yasu thought. Maybe she has the sharingan, or she collects eyes. Which would make my byakugan eyes somewhat intriguing to her. She would definitely want them if she was a collector of the oculars. Then again, maybe not... Yasu's eyes were weak in comparison to those born of full blooded Hyuuga-ness.</FONTFACE><FONTFACE fontface="palatino">

"I apologize, Where are my Manners. I am known as Akagi Yasu. However, those who know me call me Yasu. You may as well call me Yasu.", he'd say as he would bow his head to the woman showing his respect. 'I really shouldve introduced myself instead of going off on banter... bleh.' Yasu's thoughts would continue, but only in a muttered spiel suggesting that he was trying to convince himself of something. Shinobi, it was a foreign term? Maybe he would be a good example? Maybe not... but this wasnt something that he didnt know, was she a samurai? Had one of the operatives let her in without noticing that or even figuring it out? Maybe not... He trusted his colleagues, even though he watched it happen he would give the gal the benefit of doubt.

"Hm, Shinobi... I dont think I fight like a typical shinobi... but I can give you a general lesson. So watch and learn..." From here he would shift into his stance, maybe he would get a read after a few moments of battle... maybe he would figure that she would have more about her with the more he would put into the fight, or maybe she was no stronger than a typical genin. However, he did have questions about her upbringing, and ranking system where she was from, but all in good time... for now. It was time to prepare for a bout... He'd give it his all and hopefully she would do the same.

Another few moments would pass as her opponent took his stance and responded to her comments to him. It appeared that he would not be turning down this fight against her after her brief introduction and reasoning for this contest between them. At the very least, he appeared capable of giving her a decent fight, but his actions when they began would be the deciding factor if this assumption was true or not. But, a little respect had been given to him for accepting her challenge without having a shred of knowledge about her or how she fought; fortunately, this was merely a spar and not an actual battle or war that they were engaging one another in so there was no need for her opponent to feel even a little worry, but he likely would anyways.

Nevertheless, she would roll her neck and shoulders as she responded once more to him in the same direct, cold tone: "Good luck, Akagi Yasu. Let us begin." As they would start momentarily engaging one another, a few more citizens of the Hidden Leaf (or mere travelers like Tomomi) would appear in the stands near her escort with them varying in height and seemingly age as well. If the arrival of more people to this contest could mean anything at all, it was that they were intrigued what this stranger from a foreign land was capable of doing and wanted to keep a close tab on her to ensure that nothing suspicious or shady was occurring on their watch. Of course, they had nothing to worry about since the half-breed of Tomoe Country was only visiting their village to gather information that she could utilize when she returned home to her own country to hopefully help them push forward and better themselves than the current state that they were in. But, time would decide that for them all.

For now, it was time to have a friendly sparring contest with a shinobi of the Hidden Leaf and see what he was capable of doing. Hopefully, he would not disappoint her and at least bring her some entertainment. After all, sparring was a means of having fun and learning more about one another without having to use words that could be skewed; it also showed a lot more in actions than any talking could do.

Hello! You're friendly neighborhood moderator here, Ryuichi! Let's have a nice clean fight!

but first.....gasp some guidelines!

1) Keep your actions clean, and clear. Link everything, included added effects from abilities, augments, jutsu maintains, etc.

2) Keep harassment to a minimum. If you have a problem with me, or your opponent then take the appropriate action.

3) Be sure to post within allotted time, and send actions! Failure to do so will result in spending the round in defensive stance.

4) Please give me feedback on my layout, and clarity on my modding! Not really a guideline, but any help towards improvement will be great for me.

And more importantly, GOOD LUCK, AND HAVE FUN!

Please send your battle info, and first round actions within 7 days. Failure to do so will result in me sicking someone to dig up your info, and throwing you into defensive stance.

After all of her travels and some brief adventuring in the Hidden Leaf, Tomomi was finally getting the opportunity to accomplish one of her tasks that she sought out to do since arriving in this country: sparring with some Leaf shinobi. Her first challenger was this skeleton-looking man that had the capability of summoning allies into battle that were non-human like herself as a creature that appeared to resemble a tree appeared and quickly went after her with no luck on its side. Admittedly, she was somewhat impressed that the creature was able to move as fast as it did based on its structure, but there was also quite a lot that she did not know about this world outside of her home. That was a goal for another time to learn more about the Hidden Leaf Village and also to gather other pieces of information valuable to herself to take home and hopefully help her village and country grow from its current status.

As for now though, she had to focus on the matter in front of her which was her challenger. He had not done anything offensively against her thus far in the contest, but she knew that he likely was gauging her as she was doing the same to him. After all, they both had been preparing themselves for the true beginning of the spar in the upcoming moments. However while her opponent did not appear to mind showing what he was preparing himself with, Tomomi chose a more sneaky stealth-like approach as showing your opponent what you were planning often could give them an advantage that they could capitalize on and turn the tide of battle in their favor. If it came to warfare or scrimmages like back home, this could mean losing land and resources or worse, losing one's life. Thus while it was a mere spar, the half-breed of Tomoe Country was taking it like any other combative situation.

She had prepared herself. The next question that her opponent would have to ask was if she was going to hide out of sight and attack like an assassin or if she would reappear and fight like a swordswoman from a distant land that allegedly won a highly-anticipated tournament in a foreign land. He would not have to wait long now as it was almost time to take the next steps in this contest thus far.

'The greatest trick the devil ever pulled ws convincing the world he didnt exist.' those words chimiing throug Yasu's brain as the events would transpire though, he didnt see many of them with the way things were going, but he had a way to bring this into the light after so long. He had to figure out why this woman wished to battle then battled from the shadows... Much like a shinobi would. Without knowing it the woman herself was battling with the effort and training of an ANBU to fight from the shadows.

Though, he would figure that this was a ploy of some sort. However, he didnt wish to get into anything that he might feel was out of the ordinary... if he couldnt see her fighting how could he possibly figure out a plan to stop and defend? She'd knicked him and Mikio attemped to strike her but to no avail. Thus he would be at his wits end... alas he would calm himself and call out to her.</FONTFACE>
<FONTFACE fontface="palatino">

"Oi, if you brought me here to lie... you're not so good at it. You're already fighting as a shinobi, the supposed foreign concept... but alas, Now I see that I deal with someone who supplants the truth.", digging in he would easily figure out what he would have to do next, but alas there would definitely be some things that he would have to figure out. Genjutsu could also be in effect at some level here, but he didnt have the time to scan his body while preparing for what this woman was trying to do.

At any pace, he would look to Mikio and then back into the dim fog, or at least thats what he surmised in his head. It was time to push back.

BMod Notes:
:: Found a couple errors that got fixed:
1 -- Michio's AP was incorrect in what I posted.. fixed that and had timing reflect that.
2 -- Tomomi's damage was actually spiritual and not holy. Fixed that by adding the appropriate damage to Illusionary Damage area

'Apathy is the glove in which evil slips its hand, It is some compensation for great evils that they enforce these great lessons.'

'I have to figure out what she's doing because the more I get hit... The more I'll falter... And I'll be made a fool.' Yasu would go to work after switching things up a bit and going on the defensive for the next flurry of attacks. Though he would not have to see much to come to pass. Her attacks came often from the shadows, attacking where he would not have a chance to figure her attack location... let alone her location. He could surmise that there was something working with her... something more, he could feel the chakra and Michio was relaying to him things he was seeing to a degree....

However, he had to find out on his own. There was something he had to do... And in one roaring blast of chakra he would reveal everything in the shadows. The ground under him would swell every so often now giving him a rough layout of the area so that he would never be in the dark for too long. His body felt like it was aching... but it was more something deep within him, slowly withering away and tapping into his psyche. 'Genjutsu? Maybe... This woman is very slick... Genjutsu for a non shinobi?...None of this adds up.'</FONTFACE>
<FONTFACE fontface="palatino">

"Oi... You're fighting more like a shinobi than I am. Stealth in a one on one fight? Tactless."

Ruffling feathers? No Yasu was off his game, and she was getting under his skin but now he had an effective way of revealing her whereabouts. The Very terrain was his for the use that he would want. He was going to use that to his advantage and wage war against her with everything he had, his byakugan wasnt strong enough to keep up with her in stealth, so he had to figure out another way around it... and he had just the trick. It was time to go big or go home... and Yasu was definitely going big.

Sword meets flesh, the blood of her opponent spills and this little game of hide-and-seek ends abruptly with one technique from her opponent that targets everyone on the battlefield. While using the environment around her had been proving fruitful early on in this spar, it was only a matter of time until she was forced out by her opponent or she needed to change her tactics to keep the skeleton man on his toes. Her expectation however was not this early, but everything thus far was going according to her plan more or less. Her mother was providing excellent work in her support role which was only making Tomomi more difficult to handle and someone who likely would be catching the eyes of others to watch afterwards or ask her for a spar of their own. Regardless, it did not matter one way or another to the half-breed from the distant, foreign land of Tomoe Country.

Something that did however catch her attention was his repeated comments about her fighting as a shinobi when she had no true indication of what that meant. Was she apparently showing off talents that were similar to people from his village? Did her fighting style resemble someone or something from his country or village? There were many follow-up questions that she could ask, but she was more focused on continuing her spar with him and allowing questions to occur afterwards if they both remained conscious. She had her priorities straight or at least, she did in her mind.

Thus, she shifted her weight back into her combative position and prepared herself for what was going to come next. Her stealth games had sadly ended, but she still had plenty of tricks up her sleeve that Yasu nor his village had any idea about. All her strategies and tricks would likely surface for the Hidden Leaf to learn and counter if she had numerous opponents that wanted to see what this half-oni from Tomoe Country could do. Then again, she was no fool at all and would need to carefully consider if showing off her entire arsenal was a great idea or not. That could wait until she was not in the middle of a spar already~

Moving his body as he would begin to try and counter attack a 'bzzt' would ring in on his headset. ANBU Core. Something was going down and with the low numbers he would be called into action as an inmate was getting irate. So Yasu would stop and hold up his right hand in a signal of surrender. He would hear the muttled 'boos' from the gathered crowd but Duty came before fun.</FONTFACE><FONTFACE fontface="palatino">

"I must leave for now. There is something that requires my attention at the moment..." Knowing that one of the captains were in the stands he would know that this would likely be a good look because he had to keep himself limber for battle but ready for anything else as well... getting baited into a long sparring session would leave him tired to protect the village as he would be supposed to do. So with that he would make a handsign and he with Michio would vanish from the battle field.

Unfortunately, it would seem that the fun would stop as quickly as it began as her opponent would put up a hand and inform her that he had to go as he was needed immediately. It was rather sad that she only got a taste of how a shinobi fought, but she understood that his duties and obligations to the village far exceeded a sparring match with a foreigner and one that was simply testing herself against the village she was visiting. Of course, there would be booing from some of the spectators in the stands as some of them wanted to see the two combatants fight until one was unable to continue most likely.

However, that would have to wait another day for now. With her opponent leaving the field and being left alone, Tomomi thought it best to make her departure as well and try to find another sparring partner in the future. Maybe she would ask one of the shinobi who had tried to make her feel comfortable during her stay or place an announcement around the village again with a designated location and time. The small details could wait until she was prepared again as she had used too much energy in a short amount of time and she needed to do a reassessment.

For now, she would depart and head back to where she was staying. Hopefully, Kami would keep it down for her to get some rest and privacy after the events that unfolded only a short time ago. She would just have to wait and see.
