Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Sara wondered the halls of the hospital, looking in occasionally on patients for minor attention. She was more then skilled enough, at least from what she thought to perform similar operations and duties as any doctor here, but she was still left to only do remedial work. It could have been her age, perhaps patients would feel someone so young wasn't competent enough. Or it could have been something else. She actually hadn't had the chance to apply her skills in a situation outside of basic first aid as of yet. Not a lack of trying on her part, but just a lack of needs, and of course having been gone for so long. So for the time being, she accepted her duties of checking in on patients, and observing the real doctors at work.

Sara walked into the room of this elderly lady, her name was Jude Sa Ami. She was about to go through an operation for her ankle. A man stood in the room looking over her, as if checking her and prepping for the surgery. As she crossed in front of him, he didn't recognize that she was there, ignoring her entirely, but she didn't notice him to much. She spoke to the woman, asking if she needed some water or if she was feeling any pain. The man reached down near her foot, and she said ouch, but didn't look towards the man in response to his manipulation of her foot. Sara told her the surgery would be going underway soon, and she looked towards the 'Doctors' hands as he touched her foot and she spoke again, she turned to look at the mans face, and for a moment she froze on it then twisted to look at the woman again. "I can ask to have some pain medicine given if the pain is a little much from the doctors check." The "Doctor" stared straight at Sara and the old woman turned her down and said she was fine, and the girl left the room as the man watched her intently, as if trying to figure what happened.

Sara continued her rounds, until it was around mid day. She was invited along with several others to join in on rounds, followed by a observation of two surgeries, one on that old woman, and another on someone she hadn't met, an younger man, around 26 going to have a portion of his liver and intestines removed. Chances are she would never conduct a surgery such as that last one, but it was a learning experience non the less, perhaps she would gain some knowledge that could be useful in the future. The first surgery was of course going to be useful. Operating on the muscles of a foot, an easily damaged set of muscles on the battlefield. Not to mention a valuable and important appendage for a shinobi. From running to jumping, if one lost their foot, they would loose a considerable amount of capability. Well, they could still use hand seals at least, but a sitting target is still asking for trouble.

The young girl walked by the prep room for the doctors and nurses, seeing several of them sanitizing their hands and arms for the operation. These weren't shinobi type doctors, they only had a rudimentary knowledge on how to utilize chakra. A minor amount of healing, but from several of them, it worked it's way out if needed. The operation wasn't being done on a shinobi, and it wasn't on an important enough subject to require such delicacy as that. Sara walked into the observatory, a mostly empty room that sat above the operating room below. The nurses were doing last minuet preps on the guy, sedating him for the operation ahead. She found a seat and watched on as they did there stuff below.

The man was laying in the center of the room and Sara and several others headed upstairs to the observatory. Sara was watching from a room above, a clear view into the room, where she and others could hear what was being done and said, without being in the way or interfering in other manners. The room was quickly filling up, mostly with medical staff and non shinobi based medical practitioner. This was a big operation for those type. Well, for general practice it was important. To her, in the field of combat, this wouldn't be a normal operation, unless someone gutted an opponent? Or poisoned someone, more then horrifically, and for a long period of time...maybe? Well it wouldn't be something that important to her.

The man below was sedated before even coming into the room. He was a criminal from the prison, due to a death sentence, but this surgery was brought forth so he could be tried for his crimes. He was a massive drinker, poor diet, drugs, gambler, animal fighting trainer, and partially a murder. The last two things were his crimes, it was the other stuff that led him to the table he was at now. He was violent, and attacked several nurses she heard. His crimes led him to coming to the hospital, as he was going to trial for training animals to fight each other, and to even attack people as a form of sport. She had heard he had randomly attacked kids and others in the streets to make animals more aggressive, especially towards people that would be placed to fight. She didn't mind to much about those people, as she heard they willing wanted to fight for money. It was messed up, but she...had done similar for a mission. But the random people, that was disgraceful. She didn't agree with the wishes to keep him alive, but the government of Maruishi wanted him to stand trial.

The surgery started, and it was about half way through, that things went wrong. Sara glanced over as the doors downstairs opened and a man walked in and towards the patient. He seemed to be inspecting their work, and the medical staff seemed to fold around his presence. Alarms started to go off. The mans heart rate plummeted, blood squirted up and hit splashed on the wall, some of it hitting one of the observers above. The doctors, the nurses moved fast. The unknown figure taking a step back and then just watched. Sara stood up and moved to the balcony, as did so many others. Their hands, glowing, moving so quickly, so many working in unison. It took about 8 minuets to stop the bleeding. Several more hands joined the efforts in keeping the man alive, even one or two of the observers were now down below. The hands on deck stayed as the surgery was completed slowly, methodically keeping the patient from having any more complications. He lived....

Sara again glanced at the figure whom looked around at everyone, then stared at her for a moment. She tried to attach his face to something, someone she had seen but then suddenly...she forgot and watched as the rolled the man out of the room. He continued to stair at her for a moment then left the room.

The operation, though as useful as the knowledge would be for her, did learn something from the experience. Things went wrong, things were expected to go wrong at that, probably not the that extent, but the problem was solved and the doctors saved his life. She sat back in her chair, and thought about the operation in slow motion through her mind. How they capped off the bleeding, how they cut into his intestines while keeping the contents in control. Could she pull something like that off, really? They weren't as capable as her with chakra, they weren't expected to be. But they were much more skilled and seasoned. She couldn't pull something like that off, she was sure of it.

Sara watched as the woman was rolled in and slowly fell asleep, having a sleeping based genjutsu placed upon her to keep her still during the surgery, and to dull the pain to her somewhat. A local antistatic was also given to her. It would have been possible for the genjutsu to be broken if not otherwise. She watched on as the doctor stepped forward, manipulating the woman's foot for a moment then looking back at his tools. He spoke to the nurse and she left the room for a moment. She couldn't hear what was said, as he spoke to softly.

The nurse came in and spoke loudly, "He said you should increase the dosage." The doctor overseeing the procedure waved his hands, "Well, I still think we should hold it back. I have done this plenty of times, and there is no reason to waste it. It would be better to get her back to consciousness sooner".

It was 25 minutes into the surgery. The third cut and the alarms went off. They were unsure of what was happening. 10 minuets later she was dead. That would be putting it simply. It was around minute 22 that the woman woke up, screaming in pain. She had broken the genjutsu, and the doctors were startled and tried to put her under again. They had to find the doctor to do such but things continued to escalate. She complained of a pain but she couldn't say where. Then the pain got worse and she started to scream and flail. They tied her to the bed, only allow her to rant uncontrollable. She was saying something about the pain, and some odd creature. Before they could tie her down though, she had started to bleed from hitting one of the tools held in the hands of a nurse. They tried to stop that bleeding but her moving around made things much worse. More blood, more screaming, more about the creature. 'A man cloaked, faceless and devoid of life had come for her. An evil man intent on taking her life for himself.'

The continued ranting right up until the end, even when she was hoarse and weak, she still whispered the words. The doctors tried there best, but obviously it failed. What happened, they were unsure. An autopsy would be done to reveal the cause, but something stuck in the back of Sara mind. A man cloaked. A man that was faceless. She thought hard and it kept coming into sight then vanishing. She left the observatory shortly after they removed the old woman and the young girl walked down the halls of the hospital, still thinking about the words. Everything around her seemed to be in a haze, far from thought. She spent most of the remainder in the stupor, trying to bring the thought to the surface.

That was when she happened upon him, the cloaked figure of white with the unknown face. She walked up to him asking for his name. The man turned towards her and stared, un-moving and unresponsive. She asked again and he put his hand on the outcropping part of the foot of the bed. "Are....so....it's true." Sara looked at him slightly perturbed by his lack of answering. "Who are you?" The man in the mask hid all emotion, though let out a slight sigh as she continued to question him. "I am...."

He wasn't sure how to answer. This was his first time having any form of a discussion with any other being. "I am....." How should he answer such? Though he did have a single answer for her. "I am a Ōkuninushi". Sara looked at the patient he was dealing with at the moment. It was a small boy, sound asleep. She walked to the doorway and pulled his charts. She had an odd feeling about this man. "I.....must go." He headed for the door and as he passed the girl, she placed his hand on her shoulder and left. Sara was still reading the file. When she turned back she....wasn't sure why she was even there? Why...she was talking to someone. But...she had forgotten. What...happened today? She couldn't remember much of anything. She looked at the clock, and then around realizing she was in the hospital. And it was so late. Was she here the entire day? Must have been, why would she question such? But she...nothing came to mind at that time. So she decided to head home.
