Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Randori was walking through the Susukino District, ignoring the fact he should've been back at the Academy by now if he didn't want to get into trouble. He didn't actually know what he wanted to do, nor did her care, he just knew that he was to bored to go to bed and this place always seemed to have interesting things going on at night. With his sword on his back, most common people avoided him, probably thinking they'd get hurt if they bumped into him or looked at him weird. But any thugs of sorts looked at him like they would a bag of money, thinking that if he was carrying around a sword like that, he must be rich. When one of them finally decided to take action, he grabbed Randori by his shirt and slammed him into the wall in a nearby alley way.

"Hand over the money kid, I know you're freakin rich!" Randori was fairly unimpressed, this man didn't even have a weapon to threaten him with, yet he thought he could take him on even though he had a sword bigger than him. Randori kneed him in the crotch and pulled his sword off of his back, using the hilt to hit the back of the thugs head and slam him into the ground. Checking to make sure he was unconscious, which he was, Randori replaced his sword and walked through the alleyway to the road on the opposite side. As he neared the exit, there was another mugging going on, which Randori ignored. The thugs leading this one ignored him as well, since he seemed to be no threat to them.

"It seems extra lively tonight," Randori said to himself as he exited the alleyway and saw a few kids running away with stolen items from a store nearby, "But nothing to interesting, just a bunch of stealing.." He stepped in a puddle and splashed several nearby people with water, which caused him to get a few dirty looks, but no one that actually bothered to mess with him. Letting out a sigh, he sat down on a bench and looked around. If he couldn't get any action, he'd just look at anyone that was walking around, occasionally there were some funny looking people he could laugh at. As he snickered at a few people that walked by him, Randori began to doze off slightly as boredom slowly overcame him. He didn't mind if he fell asleep here, the only thing he had to steal was his sword, and there was no way someone could steal that off of him without his noticing.

The night beautiful as it was dangerous held the moonlight brightly shinning in the starless cold night throughout the lands of the hidden cloud. It was enough to put a slight chill onto the people that dared to roam out of the warmth of a coosy home without having a few layers placed upon them. Luckily Don was spared this night as his normal wear came in handy during the light winds wandering. A young dark skinned boy who held a thick novel open with on hand and his other slipped away into his pockets had no cares on nights such as this. His lack of proper protocol was possibly why he stood out despite hating attention as he wore a full all white cloak and hood over his entirely white ensemble. Looking at the ten year old child it was apparent he was but a young boy who seemed to be color blind or very into standing out of the normal. His sleeveless white vest was tied to his waist by a snow white cloth version of a belt. Even the long white socks was hidden from most peoples sight due to the karate style pants that ran from his under his belt to the bottom of his heel. It even attempted to cover his slippers which was the only part on his clothing with any color besides himself only due to the dirt that covered the bottom attempting to climb its way over his entire being.

None the less the boy was strange, he always found himself outside most nights since he loved being alone to read. The days held noise, bright lights and tons of distractions but the nights normally held quiet though not so much peace. It was because he always kept his eyes within the pages of his book that he grew accustom to using his side vision to dodge those within his path and objects blocking him from his destination. Sadly it wasn’t of much assistance on this night. He was troubled by one to many want to be bandits. None like the members of his clan with intelligence, none posing any traits of skill enough to cause him to use his academy’s teachings to escape. It was a bothering bunch of pathetic thugs that ran amuck on the city streets but because of their low strength it was easy to see that they were left alone by the higher ups since no glory would be bestowed. Such a problem for such a simple night. It is to beautiful a moon to waste without finishing this chapter he thought to himself. It was habit that when he was interested in a novel that he would walk much without his own knowledge often in circles as if his legs were on autopilot.

“What a problem” he accidentally spoke as he passed some unfortunate victims of the idiots that preyed the streets. It was that which would change his fate into a night of violence. Though they continued to beat on the bodies of their helpless captives one turned his attention to Don. Trained in the fine art of war he was not much of a fighter instead he prided himself upon the art of battle and judging by the clothing now covered in blood and teeth he knew the predators were more brutes than beasts but still capable of a better brawl in taijutsu. His eyes glanced to find a place of retreat instead they found another. Rather it was his sword the item of a warrior of a assault type that drew his mind to race. In a normal situation Don would have never spoken to him possibly never seen him as he reads and plans phasing out the days events but now he needed to choose his words carefully in hopes of making an ally. It was clear that by the gaze of the one staring at him bulked in tatter rags with a beard as dirty as a rats nest and as thick as sheeps wool he would be aimed for next. He didn’t make any sudden movements but changed his path toward the swordsman.

Passing the boy slowly he asked “Do you have time to help a young man’s life? I can make your life a little simpler with the addition of a thousand yen if you would but lend your skills if necessary if not you shall still be awarded with said yen.” The end of his sentence was matched by the stopping of his footsteps which would be seen as Don side by side with the child faced in the opposite direction prepared to run in case the deal was not deemed fit by the blade holder. Before he left it up to chance he tossed a bag of coin towards the guy so he may deem fit on whether he would accept the mission. It was possible that it would still be turned down and the kid keep the money however the bag was already within the air when that though hit his minds hind sight.

Randori was almost asleep when a bag of yen bounced off of his chest and landed in his lap, causing him to snap to attention. The first thing he saw when he opened his eyes was a boy around his age, and the next thing was a man covered in blood running at this boy. 'What the hell did this kid get himself into?' he thought to himself as he stood up and grabbed the handle of his sword causing the yen to fall to the ground. He wasn't just going to let a kid get slaughtered in front of him when they were seemingly asking for help. "Were you trying to ditch some stolen money kid?" he asked before running at the man. Using the momentum from running, he swung his massive sword and slammed the flat of the blade into the man, stopping his assault. But, even though Randori used enough force stop most people, this man still managed to stand up.

"That hurt you little bastard! the man yelled before charging at Randori, tackling I'm into a building. At this point, many of the people on the street began crowding around the two of them and betting on who would win. Randori lifted up his sword and drove the tip of it into the man's calf, causing him I release Randori and fall to one knee. Randori took this chance to run to the other end of the circle so he could recuperate.

"Guess I became what I came here to see... But at least I won." He said, before turning around and seeing the man standing up yet again. "Are you on something dude!?" he asked, not expecting an answer. The man ran at him again, but this time he stopped him with his sword, just barely being able to hold him back. Randori turned his head toward the other boy and said, "I may need help dealing with whatever you did to this guy.." Releasing the hold he had on the man, he quickly dodged outbid the way and let him stumble into the crowd, now hoping that he would get some assistance.

Each breath lasting an eternity as the bag of opportunity flowed through the air. Don immediately began to think of strategies that would allow for his immediate escape. It was incredible he was able to contemplate ten plans in those moments due to the pressure of the situation alone however they were interrupted upon hearing the voice of the kid as he awoken. It was Don’s own fault for attempting to converse without being completely aware of both his surroundings and that target of his attention. He didn’t notice that sleep was a merciless conquering factor in the night’s conquest of the world. A sigh escaped the lips of Don before he could form the first seal of his jutsu to hide himself he heard the footsteps of a bull.

Raising his head it was a charging assault that would no doubt be an end if contact was made. Within such a small elapse of time Don watched the boy unsheathed the blade easily matching a long sword in length of actual swords size to his body it was amazing that the kid would use something so dissimilar to his standings and yet it happened. He dodged and attacked the man causing the foolish bandit to land upon his knee failing to the sweet touch of gravitys force now strengthened by the impact taken upon his body. Don answered a now overdue question that he didn’t take into account earlier due to his minds priorities “Stolen, I won’t say it was hard earned however it is money non the less is it not.” A little smirk emulated from the mouth of the kid that never normally found himself to break posture nor did he break procedure in meetings.

He attempted to move within the crowd to hide himself amongst the rest while gaining view of this one sided battle until he noticed that the man suffered no wound from the attack. It was apparent that there was not going to be life taken on this night. He could have easily slashed the man but instead chose to spare him. With a few gestures of his fingers he launched a genjutsu onto his opponent known as tourniquet though it lacked in mastering it was quite useful for situations like this. It caused the man who thought was unharmed to see blood coming from a blunt hit slowly start to build up. It would cause both a great opportunity and a grave mistake to appear at the same unfortunate time as the man screamed out in anger.

He attempted to charge once more at the young swordsman before tripping over what would be his own feet due to another genjutsu casted by Don normally named false surroundings. In the mind of the bandit there was small ditches he now had to avoid to stop his oncoming charges. This greatly weakened the buffoon however his cry had lead his partners to stop their random beating of the merciless thought of corpse to head towards their partner. It would have been to much for only two to take on even with the strength of the young accomplish even though Don was sure he was hiding things. Before he would attempt to mix in with the crowd once more he thought hard about whether this would be an ally or enemy within futures time. Turning his back he made a simple step away from the battle as he trusted no man, woman, child or animal to his lifes holding. He turned back for one second and continued on.

It was only a few steps mingled into the crowd that he shook his head and rna back to jump within the center of the circle mimicking an acrobat landing close to his accomplish in the nights event and telling him cover his mouth. He would use a non lethal poison to weaken the many who would enter and sadly a few of the onlookers however it was their punishment for standing by idly watching children in a fight against men. There was still some seconds before the men joined with their brute which gave Don enough time to say “You got some good moves…but do you have good enough to take on this little group of imbeciles?”

Randori was a bit confused himself when the thug began screaming and stumbling as he tried to run toward him, but he decided he'd take the opportunity to retaliate. Not wanting to use lethal force unless absolutely necessary since the shinobi would quickly be at the scene, and would cause Randori to get into unnecessary trouble for both killing someone, and being out far past the academy's curfew. Putting his sword onto his shoulder, he prepared for when the man was close enough for him to attack, and when he was, he swung his sword down on top of his head this time. He hoped this would be enough, yet the man still stood back up, but he was clearly close to unconsciousness. It was strange though, it didn't seem like it was completely because of his attack. He didn't realize it was something harmful to him as well until he heard what the boy from before had said, looking over, he noticed that he had released some kind of gas. Quickly covering his mouth so he wouldn't breath anymore of it in, he could start feeling a bit more weak as well.

"I hope that whatever that is, it isn't deadly." Looking back over to the large man that was now just standing there, he also saw what appeared to be his lackeys rushing into the circle as well. Then, responding to what the other boy had said previously, he said, "I guess I could take on a few more, the big guy seems to pretty much be done. If anything goes wrong and I have to use lethal force, I'll warn you. Just get prepared to run from here so we don't get into trouble.." With that, he threw his sword back onto his shoulder and charged at the group which was now slightly frightened since their boss was just about defeated. Randori jumped up and kicked the man in the head, causing him to fall back unconscious finally, before continuing to charge the group. As he came into range of his sword, he began spinning around with the blade extended, slowly making the sword rise and gain speed. When the blade came in contact with one of the men, the force caused him to smash into another, making them both fall down in enough pain to keep them there. He had to completely stop his spinning after hitting these men, taking up enough time for the others to begin running at him. However, they were all drastically weakened by the poison that had now spread across the entire circle, making them dizzy and slow. "Well, at least you guys aren't as tough as him." He said, pointing behind him at the first thug.

The men were angered by that comment, but currently couldn't do much about it. Randori laughed at them as they stumbled around like their boss had, but soon was incapable of holding his own breath due to how much he had just done. So he quickly ran through the crowd and took a deep breath in before returning to the circle and finding most of the men on their knees. " You guys really are pitiful, aren't you?" He thought to himself as he walked amongst them, finishing them off in various ways, wether it was by kicking them, punching them, or hitting them with his sword. Since it was all over, he approached the other boy and said, "We should probably get out of here, I'm actually kind of surprised no shinobi got here before we finished them all off honestly," stretching out his hand for a handshake, he continued, "I'm Soruja Randori by the way, nice to meet you." He would continue to hold his hand out for few moments for the boy to shake, until the shinobi arrived and began questioning several people. When one of them pointed towards the two boys, Randori panicked somewhat and said, "Ok, yeah, we need to get out of here now. I would rather not get taken to the station for questioning." With that, he walked into a nearby alleyway. In this alleyway, there were a few more thugs that had witnessed what had happened and decided not to pick a fight. When Randori reached the exit on the opposite side, he looked behind him to see if the other boy had followed him.

Randori had been watching behind him for a while but didn't see anyone come, so the boy had either decided to not follow or had been caught. This was a disappointment, it almost seemed like the two could've gotten along. Letting out an exaggerated sigh, Randori walked out of the alleyway and made his way back to the academy. It had been a long night and there was no way he was going to avoid getting yelled at for being late back.. Readjusting the sword on his back so that it wouldn't drag along the ground, Randori frequently looked behind him in case the boy actually had followed, although it seemed very unlikely.

Now that he had a moment to think, Randori remembered that he had left a bag of yen lying on the ground when it was thrown at him.. Damn it! That could've come in handy to have some extra money, but there was no way he was going back now, he could easily get caught. Letting out another sigh, he closed his eyes and continued walking down the street. He continued on like this until he felt a few drops of rain hit his skin, and eventually these few drops turned into a down pour that soaked his clothes and him thoroughly. What an unfortunate night, getting caught up in a fight that drew the attention of the police, heavy rain that just made the cold night colder, it freaking sucked. Now in a full sprint, Randori had no time to wait for someone who probably wouldn't come, so he just continued sprinting all the way to the academy.
