Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

When one finds themself in a situation so out of touch with that they considered reality they could feel a state devoid of serious emotion due to not wanting to cope with the events at hand. This state is exactly was Ryuichi was dealing with while he was sitting motionless in the teahouse apartment's kitchen that he called his own. No one else was home, considering they had their own missions and lives to deal with while the white haired boy sat at home recovering from the incident that had happened over a month ago now...

Ryu shrugged off the lingering feeling of worthlessness and walked to the cabinets hanging in the small apartment room, and pulled out a small bag of dried seafood snacks before sitting down on one of six pads around a short table in the middle of the room. He just needed to rest up, then get back to his AiT duties is all...He was told this situation was a problem, and would be trouble for him if he couldn't keep up without his sharingan...Worst case scenario, he would be moved to the main branch to be an infantry unit.

Ryu would just end his career as a whole if it came to that. He had failed to save his father, stop his mother, and keep himself safe. The last thing he wanted was for this complete and total slip-up to be ended by such a stupid reason. 'Am I really only worth my sharingan...?' He would think to himself as he munched on a seaweed snack.

The young man thought back on every situation he had seriously fought in...Every single one he made it out because of those red eyes. Would be be able to keep up without them...? His reactions would be slower, his accuracy much less precise...his genjutsu, and sword style were revolving around the usage of the sharingan. Ryu put the bag of seaweed chips to lightly bump his head against the table. "Uuuuuuuugh...." He groaned, trying to think.

To start....He would need to change up his fighting style. His old one revolved around finding openings and going in with precision, or placing enemies under subtle genjutsu. Now, he couldn't do either....so what did he have? Wanting to find answers, Ryu stepped up to the door, and threw his jacket over his shoulders with plans to go to the training halls of the Colosseum. He had to see his strengths. His weaknesses. Maybe he would find someone strong to fight....and not someone who knew he wasn't supposed to be active.

Along the way he was looked, and pointed at by several people, and didn't have the slightest clue why. Though, as he walked on he noticed the strangest things. He could swear it was from the fact that the eyes in his skulls were recently implanted, but everything had some kind of....fuzz around them. Like an aura, exactly like the chakra he could see through his old sharingan yet far more clearly than he ever could then. On top of that, he wasn't expending any chakra, so...it had to be some kind of freak coincidence.

When he arrived at the training room there were three others training together, all with cloud headbands proudly displayed on their person. 'Must be a main branch squad' Ryu thought to himself, before walking up to them with a raised hand to get their attention. When they noticed him, one of the two guys, and one girl flinched when staring Ryu dead in the eyes, and the last didn't budge. "What do you want?" The unphased one asked.

"I just wanted to ask if you were all wanting to spar." Answered Ryu plainly with crossed arms. This was met with glances between the three before the one that had spoken before, most likely the leader of the group, nodded in approval.

"Fine. You can join us. Don't say we didn't warn ya, but we don't hold back in here." He said to him, pulling a kunai from a pouch. Ryu nodded back, and with that chaos instantly broke out. These people were not the type to need many words for training, and for good reason. From all sides Ryu was met with fireballs, ice shards, and stone.

Then something....clicked. Ryu could see exactly how the jutsu were made, how much chakra they held, and the internal chakra of those who cast them. It was so...vivid. As if he could just reach out, and grab the chakra himself.

And that's exactly what he did. He reached out and mentally grabbed the chakra in front of him to be met with all the jutsu....dissolving. They became nothing but raw chakra that Ryu simply grasped with his bare hand, and allowed it to enter his own system. The three nin looked at him with a face of confusion that even Ryu matched with his own expression. Not wanting to slack in a training session, no matter how quickly it started, he held both hands together and focused.

With a small twitch, and enough focus Ryu held a one-handed seal and jumped in the middle of the three nin. "TRIPLE RASENGAN!" He shouted, letting one rasengan form on the toes of his right foot, and one in each hand before releasing them all towards the three ninja. They all were able to jump away, but not before the flying rasengan slammed into places around them, causing large amounts of damage. Ryu landed, and didn't give them a moment to think. He felt so...ALIVE! His chakra was like some kind of clay now when before it felt more like building something out of dry sand. It was....perfect. And now he could see it all.

What had happened to him? He couldn't see as much detail, or anything along those lines, yet he felt so much more powerful. His chakra felt otherworldly, and his body was moving so fast when compared to the others in the area. The three people who had started the fight all quickly ran towards Ryu with several jutsu in hand.

"Chidori!"
"Burning palm!"
"Gale palm!"

They all said in unison, running towards him. Ryu simply glared at them. He felt something....welling inside of him. Something powerful. Something....untamed. He grinned, holding up one hand. "I know what I can do now..." He said, allowing a massive force of chakra to build in his hand...slowly, ever so slowly growing stronger up till they were close enough to hit with- "Shinra Tensei!"

They were all sent flying by an unseen force with their own jutsu backfiring into their faces. They were all soon knocked out from the force of the jutsu, and Ryu simply stood still. Motionless. Did he just...take on three shinobi at once? 'They must have been weak....right.' He thought to himself.

'I didn't even learn anything. I never thought over how to fight without the sharingan, or a new fighting style in general I just kinda....lost it.

Cursing himself he just walked out, leaving the three shinobi with their injuries and going back to the apartment.

Yet he wouldn't notice the reason he had such power. The reason he could see, and control chakra. It would take days before someone in the apartment pointed out that his eyes had changed...as well as the power inside him. After consideration, training, and registering this strange power with the medical branch, he had decided to enter a new name for himself. He didn't want the name given to him by his cowardly drunk of a father, and his deceitful liar of a mother. He wanted to write out his own life from here on out, only having the ties that he deemed worthwhile.

He would become stronger. Stronger than the whole of Kumo, Konoha, Suna, and any other village. He would surpass his mother with these eyes, and keep climbing. He would never fall again, and he vowed to that....
