Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Asuka looked around for the traveler that had entered the village. Even though the ANBU recruit had given notice that she would be escorting whoever it was she didn't want to trust that to someone like her. In the end she decided to take care of this herself, she would determine if the new arrival was a threat to the village or not. With her nature, she doubted it but better safe rather than sorry. For all she knew this new traveler could be a frost informant. She sighed as she walked across the village trying to find the stranger. She did after a while, well at first sight the traveler had quite a taste.

Smiling Asuka teleported to the top of the Hokage Rock, and took a deep breath. First impressions were everything and she wanted the traveler to think Asuka was just a friendly Leaf Citizen wanting to show her the ropes around the village. While secretly testing her in case of a threat. In realty Asuka hoped she wasn't and that this would turn out to be a fun evening, she hoped they would be good friends. Slowly walking towards the stranger, hands behind her back she smiled standing next to her. "Quite a sight, ain't it." She spoke looking at the village from above. "I always liked it here, it's quite peaceful.

A few days had passed since she had been allowed entry into the Hidden Village. Since that date, Tomomi had not wasted a single moment of her time as she had been trying to soak in everything that this country and its hidden village had to offer to its citizens and tourists. So far, she had checked off some of the tourist attractions for food and shopping, but she still was not entirely satisfied with her trip. No, there was still much that was left unanswered and items on her mental checklist that she needed to accomplish before she felt like her trip from Tomoe Country to here was truly meaningful. Some of the items included how did shinobi fight from here, what were the medical procedures that they utilized, how were their youth trained, and how the village was simply structured as a comparison to her own village in the far, distant land of Tomoe Country.

However before she could continue this checklist of hers, one of the citizens that she met during her travels suggested that she should visit the infamous tourist attraction known as the Hokage Rock as it offered a beautiful view of the village from above and various items possibly worthy of her exploration. Seeing as she had nowhere else to be, the afternoon on this sunny, bright day would be spent touring this location of Fire Country and it would only take a short amount of time for her to make her way from the inner parts of the village.

Once she had made it, the first thing that she did was go off to a marked off spot and looked out at the sight in front of her which showed her almost the entirety of the village from above. This was certainly something different from her home village as there was no natural landmarks nor mountains that were near the village that they could utilize as a form of defense or to decorate with carvings like the shinobi of Konoha had chosen to do. Then again, her village was also significantly smaller in size and there were not as many resources available at their disposal considering the villages in Tomoe Country were constantly fighting with one another for land, resources, and power in the hopes that someday one of them would be able to be the ruling body of the country. As of now, there were none that were even close to doing so.

As she stood there, a feminine figure would approach her with her hands behind her back and donning a fancy garment on herself. Her hair silver, her eyes red, and her height much the same as Tomomi's, but she had a scar across her left cheek which was at least something different. If one did not know better, they could argue that the two of them were sisters or at least related in some shape or form. However while this woman dressed rather elegantly, the "Gifted" donned armor ready for combat at any given point and she had two, sharp horns on the top of her head simply due to her heritage as half-oni and half-human.

This foreigner would stand right beside her and speak to her with a smile on her face as she seemed to radiate positivity and happiness. Both of these were foreign to the half-breed of Tomoe Country simply due to her upbringing and the various tortures of Hell that she and her colleagues and friends had to endure. However while this demeanor was foreign to her like this woman, Tomomi was not rude enough to simply ignore her as she observed and digested everything in her mind. Thus, she would simply response to the woman with a cold, distant, but to the point tone in her voice: "It is something for sure, Miss."

Asuka looked at the woman, studying, trying to figure out what she was thinking. On a simple look the girl looked as if she was ready for battle, ready to pounce at anyone who was a threat but she couldn't exactly judge who she didn't know. But unfortunately the traveler didn't talk much, although she thought about two different possible scenario. Either her words spoke volumes, or she was an idiot. With that thought she sighed and looked over. "No need for the formalities." She said sitting down upon the rocks.

Asuka leaned over into the air and her hand vanished, but she wasn't in pain. She wasn't uncomfortable, but it seemed as though her arm was moving. It seemed as though she was searching for something. "Aha! There you are." She exclaimed as her hand slowly started to reappeared holding what seemed to be a Sake bottle. This girl was prepared. Once more her hand vanished into whatever place it went and reappeared wit two small glasses made out of ceramic. They were quite pretty. "You know, if you're not gonna talk more than a few words." She said grabbing the bottle and slowly opening it. "I'm gonna have to speak for the two of us. Which might end being a bit annoying for you."

She slowly poured the Sake into the glassess, slowly pushing one to the traveler. "But in any case, let's start by introducing ourselves." She giggled, not being able to contain her excitement to know more about the girl. "I'm Asuka, citizen of the leaf, notorious prankster and the biggest idiot in the land! So, who might ya be?"

The cold, distant look that Tomomi gave to this woman whom called herself Asuka would continue as the Konoha citizen pushed a drink over to the half-breed of Tomoe Country. Looking at the drink momentarily, Tomomi would make some assumptions that this offering contained alcohol and this woman did not appear to want to cause her trouble if she was willing to offer a foreigner to her land a drink and chit-chat. However even with being generous, this red-eyed woman was far too petty and happy for meeting a complete stranger that seemingly caused some issues at the village's gates when she wanted to come in. But, it was possible that the woman before her had wanted to formulate her own opinion about the foreign shinobi that was allowed entry into her village instead of having hearsay given to her.

Regardless, she would give her introduction first before asking for Tomomi's own. A few moments would pass as Tomomi drank the contents of the glass sliding it back over to her as she responded once more with that cold, distant, but to the point tone in her voice: "I am Murakami Tomomi of Tomoe Country. Part of the policing force of my village and recently had my 27th birthday. Visiting your village for my own research from your foods and drinks to how your young are taught and tested to how the shinobi of your village fight. I am no threat to your village nor do I have ulterior motives." Yes, that was a typical Tomomi response to anyone which was direct and to the point as there was no need to elaborate or go on a tangent about anything unless the other party required it.

Considering the nature of the one that she was talking to, the half-breed had a feeling that their two quite different personalities were going to clash before too long. Then again, she had no hostile in her body language nor did the one that she was talking to. They were both raised and grown in two different environments so their outlooks on life were simply quite different. Then again, Tomomi was prepared to engage her in combat if need be, but she preferred to not do so if she could since she was not here to be on a battlefield; no, she was here for research and also to engage how the rest of the world was in relation to her home.

Asuka wondered if the stranger would take the drink, to be perfectly honest Asuka was a bit nervous. She had never done this kind of stuff before but it was quite nice, not about work, something without responsabilities. But for some reason she still felt uneasy, was it because of what she knew? It was kind of a weird feeling but she didn't think much of it. That is until the stranger answered her simple question.

She've met people who gave their full biographies before, all of them were a tad bit annoying. Asuka frowned once the name was given, but the words didn't stop. She drank her own and poured another one. So Tomomi was the type to give everything at first, she would a horrible spy. Of course none of this thoughts were said out loud, but in her head. With another sigh she drank again, pouring herself another one. Sheebus, this girl didn't leave anything out. Her last words did bring up a small red flag, "no ulterior motive" usually meant "I do have an ulterior motive." She chuckled for a bit. "When you say you don't have an ulterior motive it usually means you got AN ulterior motive." She moved forward and dangled her feet off the cliff.

"But anyway, why that research?" She asked with a slight smile on her face. "Couldn't you just.... I don't know... enjoy your vacation time in a foreign land? Instead of "this is for reaserch" do "This is for me and my enjoyment. Maybe that could be better, dont you think?"

It had only been a few minutes since the two of them had begun to talk and the liquor was being poured and consumed at a rapid pace by the woman near her. In a sense, she appeared to be drinking like a full-bred oni, yet, she did not seem to have any similarities to them at all from what Tomomi could tell from her position. Then again, it was entirely possible that citizens of a hidden village were able to consume significant amounts of booze at a given point and not have the after-effects often associated with drinking a lot. However, she did not know this for sure and further research from this woman and others in her village would prove to be an excellent starting point to dive into this topic if it would prove valuable which as of now, it did not appear so.

Nevertheless, the cheerful one would respond only a short time later to her comments with that same positive and happy demeanor displayed on her face and in her voice. It appeared from what had transpired thus far that this Asuka individual did not mean to harm her or cause any issues with her which would allow her to relax a little bit. However, she was still in a foreign land with foreign people so that sense of being on the edge would likely not disappear soon. At the very least though, she could entertain this red-eyed woman a little bit longer and see what else she could discover about her and her village which could prove fruitful.

With that thought in mind, she would look back to the shinobi of Konoha and respond once more in the same cold, distant tone as before: "Does saying that imply I do, Lady of Konoha? I was unaware that trying to reassure you that I am no threat to you nor your village could mean the opposite of what I said. As for this 'vacation time', you will have to explain to me what you mean by that term since this is not for entertainment. I am here on a personal mission for my country and my village which is researching and learning as much as I can about the world around us from the hidden villages, to the cities, to the towns, and so on."

Asuka listened to the foreginers words, maybe she was a bit harsh on calling her a threat. Even though she wasn't entirely a bad person it was needed to be this kind of person. Who knew if she had good intentions, to be honest you never knew anyone entirely until they told you. Which is why Asuka was a bit defensive, but she would still like to have fun. Even if it was on small amounts.

"Can't blame a girl for being protective of the people she cares about!" Asuka chirped happily with a big smile on her face. "And please, lady Konoha sounds waaayyy to formal for me. Just call me Asuka. She said grabbing the drink and pouring the stranger another glass. Seeing as though it was empty now Asuka sighed. Making the bottle dissapear and makking another full one appear from thin air. Pouring herself another she simply spoke.

"Sheesh.... you do need a vacation." Asuka simply spoke looking at the woman with curiousity. 'You know, vacation time. No missions, no work, just doing things you want to do for fun. It's kind of like.... going to the beach and just relaxing under the sun. You should try it out sometime, releases stress quite well."

Her mission... seemed peculiar to be perfectly honest. Not many people would take the time to go and learn from other cultures which she found quite curious. "Why the mission?" She had to ask, her curiousity flaring at even higher levels. "I mean, it's nice and all but I would've thought your people already had an idea about the world... of where you somewhat isolated?"

This woman by the name of Asuka was a rather odd-one through the eyes of the half-breed. She seemed far too happy to be interacting with a complete stranger, especially one that was a foreigner to her village, that could pose a threat to her if she wanted to act up. Of course, Tomomi had no intention of saying or doing anything that could cause an international crisis or have her getting arrested; no, she was simply here on her mission to gather as much information as she could about the world outside of her home and hopefully bring it back to start the necessary changes that many needed in their country. It certainly would not be an easy task and it was one that had a slim chance of actually working flawlessly without people getting hurt, but the conflict in Tomoe Country had gone on for so long now that many wanted it to simply end one way or another.

Alas though, she would continue to keep the same demeanor on her face as Asuka spoke about this concept of vacation time and questioned this mission that she was on. She knew that eventually someone was going to ask her about the mission, but adding the concept of vacation time that was foreign for obvious reasons for Tomomi left her feel a slight hint of sadness and anger in her heart. It was not enough though to change her demeanor or voice when she decided to respond to the red-eyed woman of the Leaf. She would begin simply after having a sip or two of the liquor poured for her: "My mission is to gather as much information as I can to take home with me to hopefully put an end to the war that my country faces on a daily basis and bring change to the village that I reside in. The war started a long time ago before I was born and still continues to this day with daily skirmishes, ambushes, and destruction. My life has been nothing but protecting my village from the time that I was capable of grasping what was going on."

She would pause momentarily as she took another few sips of the alcoholic beverage as she needed to gather her thoughts as she did not want to give this foreign shinobi every little detail as it was not necessary. "As for your vacation time concept, it sounds rather nice, but it is not something I can do anytime soon. As soon as the war is over in my country, I must change how my village is ran. I do not want to see more half-breeds like myself being born to be weapons to the village and having to endure the torture that I went through to get to where I am now. I will tell you, Asuka, that your village seems like a paradise in this world from what I have seen so far while my village is literally its own Hell. Back home, the half-breeds have their bones broken, their bodies operated on, and are faced constantly growing up with mental and physical abuse which does include being violated by their elders. Many of them die growing up as their bodies give up or they take their own lives because they cannot take the abuse anymore." There would be a long pause after she said this as she went from simply sipping to consuming the liquor like one typically did. If Asuka knew anything about drinking, she could probably tell that Tomomi speaking about this was hard for her even if she never broke the facade that she displayed physical. After all, nobody in this world needed to endure the torture and Hell that she and so many others had done.

After awhile, Tomomi would finish her response with simply the following: "So I apologize that I am not as upbeat and happy as you seem to be. There is not a lot to smile or be happy about when you have lived the Hell that I have and know that it will continue if you fail your mission. But before you ask, I am not looking for pity or help from your village. This is my own mission that I must complete."

Asuka listened closely to the woman as she spoke. It was quite interesting to hear what she had to say. Of course Asuka considered a few scenarios . Some had good endings, others not so much. She considered this person to be lying, that it all was a pre-planned story to throw off potential problems which threw a bunch of red flags. What would their interest be? Why Leaf? Where they working with a few of their enemies? Or were they doing some kind of information gathering to prepare for war? It was all a bunch of questions but she wasn't trying to seem too suspicious although she had to admit to herself... her questioning wasn't exactly smart but Asuka didn't like beating around the push. If someone was honest, then the dialogue would be a lot better.

The other likely scenario was that she was telling the truth which would mean that it was an interesting way to stop a war, learn from another civilization. Try and teach that logic to her village. Which... in all retrospect didn't make much sense but her story seemed far to detailed to be a lie, how she repeated herself was more evident that she was telling the truth and it was quite a story. She felt.... a bit sad, but understanding. The loyalty to the homeland was quite a motivator.

Pretty boring life, ain't it?" She giggled with a sigh, taking another sip from the bottle. Just battle, battle, battle. All to fight for the truth! Sounds... quite boring."

Then she laughed "Apologize for being upbeat? Asuka shrugged it off. "I'm just a simple idiot." Then Asuka smiled "What if I offered help? What if I sent some of my ninja with you to avoid any sort of conflict? Be like a mediator."
