No harm in sparring with friends?

Since starting at the Ninja Academy Yudo-to had learned a lot about herself, some of the more interesting things recently was what she was capable of doing with Kosho’s body. She learned that even though she was in a small and relatively weak body there were techniques that could make her a formidable opponent. But the only way she could improve and learn these techniques was through practice. That was what brought her here this afternoon the opportunity to practice.

Today Yudo-to was to meet two other students from the academy they planned to spar in this open field near the academy. Wanting to test how far she had come since joining the academy Yudo challenged both Yuuko and Kupaku to a two versus one battle. Yudo-to didn’t fear losing and wasn’t really aiming to win. More than anything she wanted to test her abilities.

 

[Kobayashi Yuuko]

Within the rather short amount of time Yuuko had been in the academy she felt she had grown quite a bit. She made friends one of which was a boy named Kosho. Today they were going to be sparring along with another student. Yuuko didn’t necessarily want to hurt Kosho, but knew it would be unavoidable. She also knew that she would have to give her all. Nobody would like fighting with someone who was holding themselves back. Besides how could anyone improve from a fight like that. Yuuko has prepared herself well for the fight, and she hoped it would be good enough to put up a decent fight. Besides she and the other students, Kupaku, would be fighting together against Kosho.

Yuuko would find herself near the academy in a open field. That was the place where the sparring session would happen. She would spot Kosho in the field, and begin running towards him waving. “Koshooooo!” She’d shout happily smiling as she approached him. “Are you excited?” She’d ask looking at him. Her happy demeanor could seem a bit strange given the situation. Though anyone he knew her at all knew that was just how Yuuko was.

 

[Akuno Tatsu]

Kupaku didn't really know many people in the academy. He literally had not friends and he was kind of a loner due to his very little experience talking to people. It's not that he didn't want to didn't want to make friends, he just didn't know how. Imagine his surprise when this kid approaches him, introduces himself as "Kosho" and asks him to meet him and and his friend at the field to fight.

Kupaku didn't know how to respond. He finds fighting fun, sure, but he didn't know that other people found it fun too. After class, a very confused Kupaku heads over to the training field that Kosho told him about. Oh his way there, he thinks about how he doesn't really know any Jutsu and the few that he did know took a lot out of him to be able to use. He wondered about the higher level jutsu and how hard those would be to master. The sheer variety also astounded him. Which jutsu should he even learn. Who would teach him special jutsu and what kind of ninja would he even be to serve the village that he belonged to. The thought of it all made him sigh.

Upon arrival, the blue haired boy finds Kosho and a girl. "Who is this?" Kupaku asks Kosho as he approaches the two. "How exactly are we doing this? Are we going to take turns, or is she just here to watch? You weren't very specific on how this was going down back when you asked me."

As the green haired girl approached Yudo recalled her from the water walking training. Yuki and the girl, Yuuko did the class together. If Yudo remembered correctly the girl was extremely upbeat and joyful. “Koshooooo!” the green haired girl yelled with a wide grin. Yes this was indeed the same girl Yudo thought as the girl asked if Yudo was she excited. “Yes. I’m very excited... Even more so now.” Yudo replied noticing her final sparring partner was just arriving.

The final sparring partner was a blue haired boy, Kupaku. He asked who was the girl was standing next to Yudo as soon as he joined them. Yudo waited for Yuuko to reply knowing that she would probably want to formally introduce herself.

“I planned on fighting you both at the same time, please come at me without holding back attacking however you please. And I’m ready to begin.” Yudo said answering Kupaku’s questions then jumped away separating herself from the two. “Let us begin!”

Yuuko would smile, and give a short bow to the student she hadn’t met. “My name is Yuuko, and we’re gonna right Kosho together. Don’t worry we can do this.” She’d say to him kindly. As Kosho hoped away from them. She’s do the same putting some more distance between them, and motioning for Kupaku to do the same. Yuuko has done quite a bit of preparing for this fight. She knew Kosho wanted them to give their all, and she was prepared to do just that. Sorry if I hurt you friend. She’d think to herself. Though she knew he was fine with that, and she so readied herself for the fight to begin.

Kupaku shrugs at the fact that Kosho wants to fight the both of them at once. At first glance, most people might think that Kosho isn't all that strong, but Kupaku knew better. He himself was judge before being given a shot, he would never do that to someone else. Kosho seemed confident in his ability to fight the both of them and on top of all that, he was admitted into the academy and had been here longer than Kupaku.

Being motioned to put some distance between him and his opponent, Kupaku nods before walking over to Yuuko. "I don't know you very well, but let's do our best out there, okay?", the blue haired boy said, turning to face Kosho and putting his hand on his new sword.

Yudo watched as the Yuuko and Kupaku readied themselves and prepared herself for a difficult battle this would be her first time fighting two opponents. She wasn’t really sure what to expect from either of them since she had basically no fighting experience. But to her this wasn’t truly a battle against them this was a battle against herself. She charged toward the duo ready to battle.

• Mod Format Created By Aikayume Azusa.
• Mod Format Tweaked for Myself.
• All - Be aware of the terrain modifiers. They are Open and Bright which makes all Stealth for you all have a modifier of -5.
• All - If you have 1 AP or less left over, it carries over to the next round. There are some other ways to get more AP in the following round when you grow stronger!
• Kosho - You made a weapon with -5% damage and +1 accuracy. Your ability increases your damage output, but does not increase your accuracy as it would only affect it if the weapon was made with a negative accuracy. Edit #1: After reviewing, the weapon was made with +2 accuracy and a damage modifier of -10% which explains things.
• Kosho - Your attack only cost 0.75 AP, not 1 AP.
• Edit #2: Forgot Kosho's Special Action on Hemomancer's Gift and one strike on Dynamic Slash.
• Kosho - You did not indictate if your weapon is causing bleeding or suppression. Since you are using slashing taijutsu which is bleeding-focused, I went with that.

Kupaku draws his sword with the intention of attack, however, before he could even make a move, Kosho was already on the offensive against his teammate. He's fast. Kupaku thinks to himself. He keeps his thoughts brief and does not allow them to take his attention away from the fight. This isn't the time to be impressed my his opponent. Noticing the oil trap, he rushes Kosho with no intent on holding back in attempt to keep him off balance long enough to give his own teammate an opening.

Yuuko's smile would turn serious as Kosho would move to attack her. He was fast maybe even faster than she had already known him to be. She had enough time to lay her trap successfully. Though she couldn't she did it all that stealthily. Yuuko would see Kupaku beginning to make his next move. She would have to hope he was able to help her with what she was trying to do. She supposed there was no other way to find out then to see if it happened or, not. She'd prepare herself again for what she would need to do now. Even after taking a successful attack her confidence had yet to wane.

Yudo managed to land a clean hit on Yuuko without Kupaku being able to retaliate. “I must’ve gotten faster since I joined the academy, my other opponent was only able to draw his blade.” Yudo thought to herself. Yudo noticed Yuuko plant a trap right after landing a hit and jumping away to maintain distance from the two. “I have to keep up the pressure!” thought charging toward the blue haired boy.

Yuuko would smile as the trap she had set hit its mark well. Even despite its lack of subtlety. Kosho was now covered with oil which would hopefully do its job well. Now it was just up to Kupaku, and Yuuko to handle the rest. The fight had just begun, and was already so intense. It was quite fun though. Yuuko found that a bit surprising, but it was a relatively lighthearted battle. No real ill intent was meant.

Yudo’s blood weapon had dispersed and the battle began to pick up rather quickly. Seconds after her blood weapon had dispersed she was struck by Kupaku’s blade and immediately her blood was leaking from her body. This was first injury from a sword in battle interesting it happened sooner in the battle that she initially thought it would. Though this didn’t matter much in in grand scheme of the it was nice clean hit but it would take more than that to deter Yudo. As Yudo was preparing to go in for another assault she was hit by the trap Yuuko put down seconds before. The pace of this fight was picking up rather quickly Yudo had to keep up or she would get run over by her fellow classmates.

Kupaku swings at Kosho twice, missing one and landing the the other. Not letting, up, Kupaku continues his assault, striking two more times and causing the boy to bleed. Kosho then gets hit by the oil trap that his ally set up. Kupaku goes in for another strike, being mindful of his ally and what he was going to do next.

[Kobayashi Yuuko]

Yuuko would smile as her ninjutsu hit its mark setting the oil on Kosho alight. The oil would be gone now, but the effects of that combo were well worth that. The battle seemed to be going quite well at this point. Kosho seemed to be focusing primarily on her, and she wasn't quite sure why. Maybe he was just too shy to attack Kupaku. Either way the battle wasn't over yet. If anything it was just starting to pick up speed. Yuuko was prepared for it though even despite the attacks she had already taken. She wasn't going to stop trying now. If anything should would just try even harder until the battle was over. Nobody was going to learn from a battle in which it's participants weren't actually trying their hardest. That's why even though she was fighting her friends, and fellow classmates Yuuko would give her all to win the fight. Besides that Yuuko also found it quite fun to partake in the battle. She found that a bit strange. Friends weren't supposed to enjoy fighting each other were they? Maybe they were? Yuuko figured she was a bit to young to be asking the difficult questions just yet. So instead of thinking about it too much she would get her head back where it belonged. Right in the middle of this intense sparring session. She wasn't sure how much longer the battle would last. Mainly because she knew little about the strength of the other two participants. Yuuko didn't mind if it lasted a bit though. She was with her friends, and even if they were fighting at least they were together right?

[Kosho]

Engulfed in flames from Yuuko fire jutsu Yudo emerged from smoke as the flames settled. “Ouch… I didn’t expect that, I have a lot to learn. But now I know you’ve learned fire jutsu I suppose.” Yudo said in an oddly calm tone though her eyes showed signs of pain. She managed to hold the form of her blood swords even after taking the full brunt of Yuuko’s oil and fire combo.

“I planned on attacking them both, but if Kobayashi has more combos like that I need to focus her.” Yudo thought finally charging again for another assault. Just as Yudo was about to reach her mark she saw Kupaku in the corner of her eye, but this time he wasn’t fast enough to land a blow. Yudo avoided both of the blue haired boy’s and returned strikes of her own to his partner. Attempting to stay close for another string of attacks continued to pursue. She was slightly concerned about the bleeding, but she was more concerned with keeping up with the steadily increasing pace of this fight.
