Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Another night on the town for the young mercenary. Shiromaru was becoming quite the night owl since he entered the sand village, staying up most nights to go wander around town since he told his would be employer that he would stay in the village for the time being.

Makin his way to yet another new location, Shiromaru found himself in the Silver Crystal district confronted with a gate. Shiromaru was not much for boundaries and he believed gates were meant to be broken. With a simple flick-a-the-wrist Shiromaru was over and around the so called barrier.

Once inside, though notably destroyed by whatever chaos was going on in the village, Shiro could tell this area was mostly for upscale types. The boy was clearly out of place in what he chose to wear but of course the number of fucks given were zero.

As he walked around the boy picked up a drink from a concession and sipped it as he walked through the area.

"What to do...what to do...?"

The Silver Crustal District was like a precious jewel in a coalmine. If there was any place that would be rebuilt almost immediately it would be this area, with near infinite fiscal resources at their disposal the only true markers of the devastation a few years past is the scorching on some of the natural earth and the fact that many of these homesteads have enhanced their security since. While it was possible, nay probable to see the occasional commoner here on the streets commonly they have in tow cleaning supplies, gardener tools or some evidence of a trade. While it would have been lovely to see Shiromaru in a french maid outfit, alas it was a doubtful that was how the teen spent his Thursdays. There was also the little incident involving the gate that he sprung over.

The mercenary stood out like a zebra in a herd of horses.

"Hey you... Hey kid!" one of the sentinels yelled and started to chase the young man. His voice would summon others, the site was well guarded but there were laws in place that even these men were forced to follow. But there was the inherent risk that they followed the mantra: what people do not know won't hurt anybody. Well, it might hurt Shiromaru but luck was on his side as were his fists, despite being in a shinobi community a relative unknown being an S- Class merc was still somewhat unexpected.

What is Happening:
 • Chase scene: you have 3 guards chasing you.
 • If they catch you they would attempt to restrain you.

Boredom didn't last long as the guards quickly gave chase to the young Shinobi.

"CHASE SCENE? I LOVE THOSE!" Sure Shiromaru could have stopped and spoke with the guards, but where was the fun in that? He turned to flee and began singing in the process.

"Gotta keep
One jump ahead of the breadline
One swing ahead of the sword
I steal only what I can't afford"

He would weave through the different stalls and vendors as be dodged his would be pursuers.

"One jump ahead of the lawmen
That's all, and that's no joke
These guys don't appreciate I'm broke" Due to his not so polished look, as he weaved through the different citizens of the area and even managed to steal a pastry that was on display.

"Riffraff!" Someone screamed as Shiro narrowly avoided colliding with a woman.

"Street rat!" Another vendor exclaimed angrily as Shiromaru brushed passed his stall nearly knocking it over.

"Soundrel!" Another woman hissed as Shiromaru skilfully slid under her legs placing her in his chasers way.

"Take that!" Echoed behind him as the woman had tried in vain to throw a pot at the boy out of reflex.

"It's Just a little snack, guys" Taunted Shiromaru as he continued to race through the district.

"Rip him open!"
"Take it back, guys!" Shiromaru's presence was beginning to cause an uproar and the citizens were beginning to chime in.

"I can take a hint, gotta face the facts.
I wish I had any friends. Oh boo." The boy could clearly see he was causing a disturbance. It wasn't that he cared that he was disturbing Ajay pompous people, but he also was not trying to over escalate the situation.

"WHOO!" A sword nearly grazed him as one of the guards grew closer to striking him.

"Oh, It's sad you can barely hit my bottom." More taunts from the young Shinobi.

"He's become a one-man rise in crime" Shiro continued to taunt his chasers by mocking them, jokingly saying what he thinks they would say.

"I'd blame parents except he hasn't got 'em. Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat Tell you all about it when I got the time!" Shiromaru was enjoying this round of keep away with these three guards. He didn't think he would find excitement this soon in this area.

A gold mine. Or at least a jewel hidden in the desert. This was exactly what Isamu stumbled upon as he got lost trying to find the inn he had already paid to spend the night. At least that was Isamu's first thought as he weaved in and out of the busy streets full of expensive wares and delicate food and desserts.

"Why were the streets so crowded anyways, is everyone out doing last minute shopping.

He was reaching for a delicious looking pastry covered that was on display when some young kid grabbed it as he skillfully weaved his way through the streets. He actually slid between a woman legs at one point. What was worse, was the boy was being chased. Now Isamu being the person he is, would not go against Sunagakure's ANBU. He is trying to stay out of trouble during his stay, but they weren't ANBU chasing him, just guards. Which meant, the kid, was just a kid. A thief, but a kid all the same. Isamu decided to follow the boy and his tail of guards to see how this whole problem would be resolved. What else did Isamu have to do? Well he could eat a different pastry, but by all means that was his pastry.

Isamu jumped to the roof of a building, utilizing his manipulation over the ground beneath him to give him a boost, that was above the boy who ran below. Isamu keep pace with him, and was surprised to see exactly how fast he was. Now to find out if his presence was needed or if he could continue to lurk in the shadows.

Cue the run scene.

What was Shiromaru thinking as he ran through the streets, the least shinobi-like thing he could do was make a scene but here he was. Dashing around, under and beneath the various denizens of the Silver Crystal District. He would get an eyeful as he slid between the legs of a middle-aged woman, mother of four who was at least a decade past her prime as a 'trophy wife' if that title was ever bestowed on her. Beyond some minor blindness, Shiromaru would find himself unscathed but the subject of ire for a great many. Pans and wares were hurled in the directions of the young deviant, but against a trained merc these improvised projectiles would never meet their mark.
giphy.gif

The sentinels who guarded this place from the riff raff were not your average guardians, active or recently retired shinobis were hired to fill these vacant slots. The danger was barely appreciable but these experienced men and women have had to deal with their fair share of delinquents and Shiromaru was no exception although he was a tad faster than most. They were in a civilian area, the use of ninjutsu or projectile taijutsu was out of the question unfortunately.
tumblr_ms49uvIn1b1sg9tp9o1_500.gif

A flurry of civilian-tossed projectiles failed to hit their mark once again. One of the guards came to a stop, she had stopped chasing the misfit and her hands started to run through an array of handseals. "Prep a syringe," she warned as her fingers twisted and danced through a well-practiced array to summon a sleep to overcome Shiromaru. "May as well give Mister Aburabuta something for his pits," she verbally reasoned. She would repeat the array if necessary, distance was only a relative issue for her illusion as long as she maintained line of sight to some extent. she would weave through the crowd if necessary and the distance between them became too great.

"Notta problem," the second guard huffed as he dashed ahead of his fellows, the syringe not yet drawn from his pocket. The syringe was filled with a potent sleep toxin, enough to put most men out for a few hours but given the boy's apparent hyperactivity probably less than an hour but they only needed minutes to lock the kid up in a cell.

What Happened?
 • You have made society itself want to bend you over its knee. =/ Why do you have to make rich people mad!
 • Some of the guards are chasing you, however one has stopped and is trying to Temple of Nirvana you.
 • One of the guards will attempt to inject you with a poison to knock you out.
 • The guards are basically going to drag you off to a cell someplace and give you a gladiator-like storyline.
 • Isamu is watching what is happening and might save you, join you, eh... who knows. Find out next time on DBZ!

The chase was beginning to bore Shiromaru. He knew they couldn't attack him seriously due to him being so close to civilians. "Nice" people were predictable like that. He would begin to wrap up his super happy fun time chase soon.

"One jump ahead of the slowpokes" Jumping over one guard Shiro noticed he was not being chased by all three anymore. One was missing...

"One skip ahead of my doom" Dodging another few improvised projectiles from irritated civilians.

"Next time gonna use a nom de plume" Considering he was new to the village and didn't have his name out there, perhaps he should have come up with a title to throw around. But all the ones that came to mind were boring. White Menace Fast Kid brat the blur, those were all rejected immediately and Shiro figured someone would come up with one for him. Some journalist somewhere would give him a catchy name if he caused enough ruckus. News people were predictable like that.

"One jump ahead of the hit men
One hit ahead of the flock
I think I'll take a stroll around the block"
Rounding a corner Shiro was hoping to give himself a split second worth of time to lose the line of sight on the pursuers so he could Unreal Clarity + Elemental Clone Mastered causing a puff of smoke to form as he created 3 Clones of himself followed immediately by a Initiative + Transformation to turn into the Shop owner he'd purchased his drink from at the beginning of this thread. As his clones ran away back into the line of fire of his pursuers he'd put on a bit of an act himself:

"Stop, thief! Vandal!" He screamed as his 3 clones split into 3 different directions to throw his chasers off.

[Crowd:] Outrage!
[Crowd:] Scandal!

"Let's not be too hasty" His 3 clones said in unison as they weaved through pedestrians within the boy's line of
"[Lady:] Still I think he's rather tasty" The chase had come semi-full circle as the woman from earlier made a comment about Shiro's looks. Frankly he'd always thought himself average on the attractive scale.

"Gotta eat to live, gotta steal to eat
Otherwise we'd get along"
His clones continued to sing while putting on a show. They were not quite as fast as the boy but -5 Secondaries of -His- dodge was still pretty good. Still, he didn't expect them to last for too long so they were wrapping up.

[Crowd:] Wrong!

"One jump ahead of the hoof beats" One clone sang as he ran south. Utilizing the tops of vendor stands to move.

(Vandal!)

"One hop ahead of the hump" Another clone sang as he ran north. Bobbing between civilians as best it could.

(Street rat!)

"One trick ahead of disaster" His last clone sang as he ran east. Jumping from fixtures like it was playing a game of 'The ground is lava'

(Scoundrel!)

"They're quick, but I'm much faster" The three of them sang in unison.

(Take that!)

"Here goes, better throw my hand in
Wish me happy landin'
All I gotta do is jump"
They all turned and ran at each other and upon collision they would all disperse in a cloud of smoke as Shiromaru turned a corner to lose sight of his clones and release the technique.

-IF- his complicated plan worked, the guards would be dumb founded on where the boy went and he'd walk away like nothing had ever happened. If it didn't work, then he'd probably get put to sleep without realizing because in his mind, his over confidence had already told him he'd won.

It was all up to the RNG gods now to show the boy his fate.

[Actions]
- Attempt to lose line of sight w/ guards momentarily
- Unreal Clarity + Elemental Clone Mastered = 3 clones at 0 seconds.
- Initiative + Transform = Transform at 0 seconds.
- Attempt to have clones fool the three guards.
- Attempt to escape in a traditional Assassin's Creed style by blending into the crowd.

Isamu had been wrong. On both accounts. In case anyone is keeping score, Isamu is 0 for 2. As it turned out the guards, were not all "just guards" Isamu witness one falling back from the group making hand seals. As if that was not enough for Isamu's ego and confidence to be severely hindered the boy was no mere boy. In fact, he seemed to be one swift ninja as he demonstrated his physical abilities time over time as well as his ability to think on the fly as he not only performed one jutsu instantly, but two. They were basic techniques, true. however, the use and combination was that of an experience ninja. Isamu was interested and unsure if this ploy would be able to fool the one ninja guard. In fact, the boy could have under estimated his pursuers the same way Isamu had underestimated the boy and the guards. In which case, the show was about to get very interesting. If only Isamu had a technique to magically make popcorn appear out of thin air. Mental note, create a ninjutsu that can bring me popcorn instantly.

For now Isamu would watch matters unfold, and if Shiromaru got away Isamu would greet the stranger, perhaps this boy could be of some use in Sunagakure. He at least seemed capable of causing havoc. If Shiromaru ploy did not work and the guards manage to catch up with him then Isamu will decide what to do upon the guards actions.

Hakuren has many pets in which she likes to control. As a Yamanaka she can possess animals and explore the village without physically leaving her room. It was a very handy reconnaissance technique and she was quite good at it. Today she was hopping around in the body of a raven. Hakuren found flying simply exhilarating. There was nothing like soaring above the ground with the air beneath her wings.

Hakuren was forced to do a quick barrel round to avoid a rogue knife sailing through the air. Normally things like that don’t happen so she circles the area to see what the hell was going on down below. There was a man being pursued by guard and… singing? Thus like a vulture she continues to circle in the air as she watches the events unfold. She had so many questions. Who was this man? Why was he being chased by the gaurds? And will he be successful in getting away?

[col]OC: Sorry for the delay - mix of modding and work. Also, Walt Whitman is a classic.

IC:

The young man was not one for stealth, or at least he lacked such on this day. As he dashed through the finest and most exclusive portion of the city - it was fenced in for a reason. To keep the riffraff out. The village was crawling with troublesome youths such as this. He burst through the crowd, nimble and smaller than most at least in consideration of his relative strength and durability. He had the body of a teen but the power-set of a man. Sure, he caught the eye of a few rich cougars, if he was caught he would probably fetch a pretty penny but that would not happen on this day. Indeed, there would be no uncomfortable fade to black scenes between utter and complete strangers.

He split into three additional figures that looked a lot like the original. There would be a moment of lucidity for one of his pursuers, but not both of them. This spiraling race to bottom was not going to get them anywhere as one of the sentinels failed to identity him in the newly formed quartet or rather trio. The second awareness check, however would fail, as the deviant's facade and garments changed to something more suitable to his setting. A dress shirt, a tie, a pair of grey pleated plants. His hair coiffed and apparently freshly dyed, the teen had aged well over a decade in the blink of an eye. Even those in a service capacity dressed better than most bankers in the heart of Sunagakure. Wealth, like anything else can be easily seen in what a man wore, how they groomed themselves and how they carried himself. The transformation was effective against the second guardian who was attempting to incapacitate him with his genjutsu.

Dumbfounded, the genjutsuist stopped casting half-way. The illusionist stopped and looked around. Where did that brat go? A string of profanities escaped the pair as they stood there. One confused about which way to follow and the other knowing already that there was not one among the three that were dashing away. Newspapers would likely tell this story among several others, the style of journalism these days was that of a sensationalist. They would claim destruction, probably give a fancy name and there would be some sob story by one of the women present that she was about to mother their 'love child.'

There were a few names tested: Nitropace, The Dash, Speedracer, Quicksilver, The Flash. None of these would stick of course, most either dumb or absolutely unoriginal and likely the subject of a future lawsuit as they are not among the creative commons domain. In either case, a name had not yet been determined for this reckless youth.

Meanwhile on the rooftops or among the crowd, there would be spectators. Spectators not subject the the RNG gods or the whim of the random writer who seems to have a love for writing random NPCs. Did they see the young man as he broke away from his pursuers and as he faded into the crowd and was nowhere to be seen but Shiromaru was not actively attempting to hide his identity from these distant onlookers.

Shiromaru would likely find himself a 'safe' place free of his pursuers. Why he ever came in here -- to cause trouble, because rules are meant to be broken, 'meh.' Hard for this narrator to say.

Shiromaru is good at running, perhaps he liked the practice.
|Come my tan-faced children. Follow well in order, get your weapons ready. Have you your pistols? have you your sharp-edged axes? For we cannot tarry here. We must march my darlings, we must bear the brunt of danger. We the youthful sinewy races, all the rest on us depend,

O you youths, Western youths. So impatient, full of action, full of manly pride and friendship. Plain I see you Western youths, see you tramping with the foremost. Have the elder races halted? Do they droop and end their lesson, wearied over there beyond the seas? We take up the task eternal, and the burden and the lesson,

All the past we leave behind. We debouch upon a newer mightier world, varied world. Fresh and strong the world we seize, world of labor and the march. We detachments steady throwing. Down the edges, through the passes, up the mountains steep. Conquering, holding, daring, venturing as we go the unknown ways,

We primeval forests felling. We the rivers stemming, vexing we and piercing deep the mines within. We the surface broad surveying, we the virgin soil upheaving. Suna men are we. From the peaks gigantic, from the great sierras and the high plateaus. From the mine and from the gully, from the hunting trail we come.

From Soons, from Sora. Central inland race are we, from Babylos, with the continental blood intervein'd. All the hands of comrades clasping, all the Southern, all the Northern. O resistless restless race! O beloved race in all! O my breast aches with tender love for all! O I mourn and yet exult, I am rapt with love for all.

Raise the mighty mother mistress. Waving high the delicate mistress, over all the starry mistress, (bend your heads all). Raise the fang'd and warlike mistress, stern, impassive, weapon'd mistress. See my children, resolute children. By those swarms upon our rear we must never yield or falter. Ages back in ghostly millions frowning there behind us urging.

On and on the compact ranks. With accessions ever waiting, with the places of the dead quickly fill'd. Through the battle, through defeat, moving yet and never stopping. O to die advancing on! Are there some of us to droop and die? has the hour come? Then upon the march we fittest die, soon and sure the gap is fill'd.

All the pulses of the world. Falling in they beat for us, with the Western movement beat. Holding single or together, steady moving to the front, all for us. Life's involv'd and varied pageants. All the forms and shows, all the workmen at their work. All the seamen and the landsmen, all the masters with their slaves,

All the hapless silent lovers. All the prisoners in the prisons, all the righteous and the wicked. All the joyous, all the sorrowing, all the living, all the dying. I too with my soul and body. We, a curious trio, picking, wandering on our way. Through these shores amid the shadows, with the apparitions pressing.

Lo, the darting bowling orb! Lo, the brother orbs around, all the clustering suns and planets. All the dazzling days, all the mystic nights with dreams. These are of us, they are with us. All for primal needed work, while the followers there in embryo wait behind. We to-day's procession heading, we the route for travel clearing.

O you daughters of the West! O you young and elder daughters! O you mothers and you wives! Never must you be divided, in our ranks you move united. Minstrels latent on the prairies! (Shrouded bards of other lands, you may rest, you have done your work). Soon I hear you coming warbling, soon you rise and tramp amid us.

Not for delectations sweet. Not the cushion and the slipper, not the peaceful and the studious. Not the riches safe and palling, not for us the tame enjoyment. Do the feasters gluttonous feast? Do the corpulent sleepers sleep? Have they lock'd and bolted doors? Still be ours the diet hard, and the blanket on the ground.

Has the night descended? Was the road of late so toilsome? did we stop discouraged nodding on our way? Yet a passing hour I yield you in your tracks to pause oblivious. Till with sound of trumpet. Far, far off the daybreak call—hark! how loud and clear I hear it wind. Swift! to the head of the army!--swift! spring to your places,

His plan went on accordingly. The young shinobi manged to fool his chasers in a rather spectacular way and as he left the scene, grinning to himself he boy couldn't help but glow at his own brilliance. Turning down an empty alley Shiromaru released his transformation. Walking down the lonely alley Shiro contemplated what he'd do next.

"That was fun. What's next I wonder. "

Isamu watched the entire display from his perch above the streets and followed the fast shinobi through his transformation and out of it. Once the guards seemed to be done chasing after him, Isamu decided it would be best to make hiss elf known before the shinobi decided to get into something worse than stealing. Isamu used his sand to levitate his self to the ground and when he was within ear shot of Shiromaru he would speak to him making one statement.

"You owe me one pastry. Perhaps two, considering the trouble of following you."

Isamu would release his sand manipulation when he was within talking distance of Shiromaru, and would land on the ground feet first as planned. Isamu suspected the shinobi to turn to see who had yelled at him, rather than ignore him. So he would land where ever he needed to be, to be facing Shiromaru.

"So why is a talented shinobi like you wasting time stealing from merchants in the Silver Crystal District?" Boredom was a cruel obstacle that was harder to overcome the more you were embraced in it. Still some people may prefer to minor crime than pure boredom, while others choose to post on an RP site. What ever the reason or preference, Isamu had become interested in this fleet footed shinobi.

Exactly, what was he going to bring to the table, or could he become enraged at Isamu's accusation that he had stolen something that belonged to Isamu. In truth, ti wasn't Isamu's property, he didn't trade any coin for the product, but he was going to. At least, he had thought he was until someone came through and grabbed it as he was reaching for it. Some things aren't worth fighting for, but a delicious desert that makes your mouth water, yeah that is. Isamu doubted it would come down to fist-i-cuffs though, it was just a desert.

Upon getting closer tot he shinobi Isamu realized his features better, and although he was young, there was age there. Stories could be shared between these two for some time if the situation was granted between them.
He is older than what I first thought, perhaps he is more experienced then I assumed.

It seems that whoever the guard were chasing got away. It seems whatever exciting event was going on was now over. Hakuren was just unfortunately too late to see the action. She thought about flying back home, but then sees a shinobi levitating on a cloud of sand. The black bird land on one of the roofs and watches as the sand shinobi calls out to another. From the sound of it this was the man the gaurds were after

OC: Guys -- I kinda assumed you all were interacting here. Shiromaru outran the merchants. =(

IC:

The merchants were befuddled and security muttered and cursed under their breath. Where did that hoodlum of a street-rat go, he could not have gone far. The guards separate and continue to search for an out of place youth, a pile of rubbish with a pair of shoes peeking out from beneath. A shifting bush in a city with no discernible breeze. They would not find Shiromaru. The pit matches would have to wait for another day. There was always a shortage of kids that would not be missed as odd as it would seem, after the incursion there was a mighty surplus but they died off rather quickly in the months that followed. Poverty, injury and disease made short work of the orphans and those that found their way into the fighting pits never seemed to last very long. It was good entertainment - profitable, cheap and unpredictable but the house always came away ahead.
