Character's Physical Description: Hisao has pale white, colourless hair at a medium length, usually messy and uncared for. His left eye has his clan tattoo, marking him as a lesser clan member. His left arm is an obvious puppet prosthetic, dark red with a gold cross, a proud reminder of the coming of age ritual to activate his Mangekyou Sharingan. His slim build was usually covered by a simple black travel robe, usually with no armour. He kept himself clean shaven, enjoying the daily ritual even if he had no real need for it. His lean body was functionally muscled, obviously earned with training.
Character's Mental Description: Even tempered and usually up for a laugh, Hisao has roughly the same amount of trauma that everyone else in the shinobi world does. His upbringing as a lesser clan, in service to the Ōnamento Clan was both difficult but fair. He had learnt that hard work was rewarded, and slothfulness was punished. He had also been taught that talent was nurtured and helped to grow, which was why he was elevated out of a servants role and into the mercenary life. He was trained that you only draw your weapon with intention to kill, and he had this outlook in every aspect of his life. If he said something, it was because he had considered it already and was fully committed.

The youngest of four children, Hisao had a mostly normal childhood, even if it was in servitude to the larger Ōnamento Clan. He had been taught the basics of the shinobi arts, as the ability to manipulate chakra was beneficial to even servants. Eventually his speed of which he would complete his tasks would catch the attention of the local clan guards, who would end up recommending him for training.
He was not overly surprised, as his older siblings had already been chosen and were either being trained or had already finished training for the Ōnamento Clan guard. His own Kobayashi clan was known to have a distant Uchiha ancestor, and the bloodline ran strong in his family. His older brothers, Hiroshi and Yuji, had both been added to the guard once they had activated their tomoe at the same time.
His sister Maru was a late bloomer, but an accident being trapped under a rockslide, had not only allowed her Sharingan to activate, but also her Mangekyou, instinctively manifesting Susanoo partially, protecting herself from harm. Hisao had not been so lucky, and after almost a year of being unable to evolve his Kekkei Genkai any further, he volunteered to undergo his family's traditional ritual to help it along.
It was a simple ritual, and yet also sometimes fatal. Hisao was blindfolded, and placed within a circle of his more martially-inclined family members, with his Sharingan activated and attempting to help him perceive past the blindfold, he was attacked continuously, and at the first failed parry or dodge, the blindfold is removed, and the ritual continues. Managing to match his siblings blow for blow, after the hour mark passed, they activated their own Mangekyou, and the skill gap was quickly apparent.
A simple mis-step placed Hisao’s sword in the wrong spot, and Hiroshi’s ridiculously oversized sword cleaved directly through his left shoulder, removing the arm. Pain shooting through him, his eyes blurred for a moment and he suddenly found himself and Hiroshi in a white void, with no one else around. He had barely heard his brother’s congratulations as he passed out.
Mednin had been on hand and his life was in no real danger, as this was expected from the ritual. Hisao had his arm replaced with a puppet prosthesis, and opted for an obvious replacement, as a permanent reminder that even an experienced shinobi can still make mistakes.
