Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Kurejī strutted to the Gates, cane in hand as he surveyed the area. Granted, he could very well try his hand at trying to force his way in, but he thinks a chat would set things up more nicely than just straight action. And if a fight does break out, then at least he might get them talking more. Oh! What if he meets some interesting people? But he did notice something was rather off. The man in yellow suit would have expected the Gates at least be open with guards around, but the whole thing was closed.

He tapped the doors and yelled at the top of his lungs to get the attention of anyone on the other side, "Oi! Leafies! Can you all do a simple Traveler a favor and open these doors?! I promise I won't bite!" He waited a couple of second before putting an ear to the door and raised his eyebrows while he waited for an answer.

Hone was trying to sleep. Trying being a key word since he was supposed to be on duty, so every so often someone would radio him a question and interrupt his dreams. He finally turned the radio off stating he was going through a tunnel, something that led to confusion but no one bothered to come check on him after he did so. The boy then leaned back and began to doze.

A doze promptly ruined by someone with an accent screaming they don't bite. The young man opens one eye and looks around to see if anyone was going to get that, sighing when he remembered he was on gate duty today. He grabs a clipboard and steps out of the gatehouse, walking along the top of the gate to yell down at the person.

"Welcome to Otogakure, if you're looking for Konohagakure I'm afraid you're far too east for that. I would suggest backtracking and heading north. If you still want in I need your name, your date of birth, your gender, your measurements, favorite hair color, favorite hair flavor, and an essay on why capitalism will destroy our world."

Otogakure? Kurejī blinked. The hell is that? "Good fellow! I have no idea what is an 'Otogakure' but I surely have asked some locals around and they said this place is where all the Leafies be! As for what you want in return, my name is Slim! I wouldn't say I was born yesterday or the day prior to that! I identify as Green! Measurements? Well, I say I'm a little over the average size of a person! Favorite hair color is bald! Hair flavor is the cotton candy kind! And as for capitalism? Well, I don't got an essay, but I can sum it up easily. It's too boring and all the people who like it are all old and think the world owes them something. I say the best solution is SENDING IT!" Kurejī threw hit yellow fedora up into the air before catching it as it started to fall down.

He doesn't really understand the thoughts of this individual, but he sure seems interesting. He gave a maniacal smile and then asked or more rather yelled, "How's the weather up there Good Fellow?!"

The loud voice gave Toshi a shudder. He listened in to the conversation that the outsider was having with the gate guardian. There was less traffic in and out the village gates, with the intruder rummaging the village. The Genin hoped this guy was some kind of ancient samurai warrior, or at least a fine swordsman that could exterminate the situation. Toshi flash backed to the day that he approached Asuka and Soku. The scene still gave the young Yuki the chills to this day. He didn't know if he would be enough alone to take on the threat, especially after seeing the dead bodies the intruder left behind. Nevertheless, the boy scouted the village whenever he had time. He wasn't to take the threat on alone, but he knew if he ran into the culprit, he wouldn't run. Backing down just wasn't an option. He kept his cool, staying in the shadows of the gates to the village. He kept track of who left and who entered, keeping his eyes open to anyone that looked dangerous or suspicious.

He continued to lean against the wall near the gates with his arms folded, his brown shroud concealing everything below his face. The two's conversation went... somewhere. Toshi really couldn't follow it, but he kept his ears open anyway. This person didn't seem like a threat, but he didn't entirely know the danger that he was walking into. It seemed he was in quite the mood. Toshi would be careful not to mention the disaster. He would let the two's conversation play out. He still has that ambition to become one of the shadows, so observing how the guards took on gate duty was something he could learn from.

Hone nods and seems to be writing something on something as the other answers. He seems to study it for a moment before sighing and shaking his head. ”Unfortunately, the correct answers were ‘Fatboy, a millenia ago in a swamp, yes please, inches not millimeters, void, rotisserie chicken, and a 12 page report on the perks of socialism.’ As for leafies….” He grabs a handful of leaves and tosses them down to the man and turns to walk off, then pauses as he recalls he was the only one on gate duty. If he didn’t handle this….he would have a headache of this guy trying to get it.

”Tell you what, I’m feeling merciful today due to it being quite sunny up here. Tell me where you’re from and why you want to enter the village of Cloud. Also, I’m going to need you to sign this form stating you do not intend to cause harm inside of our fair village of Munegakure.” He drops…not a form but a banana. ”I ran out of paper so that’s what you’ll be signing. With your saliva.”

In truth he saw no reason not to let them in, but dammit he just wanted a nap!

Kurejī let out a laugh as the gate guard told him how he should have answered, "I like you, Mr. Glasses! You, my friend, are not boring at all!"

He listened as the gate guard spoke, but it was obvious that the guy was just making up a whole lot of stuff. It didn't matter to Kurejī, this conversation was quite interesting indeed. "Can I call you Red? Or Reddie! Cuz, you know, the red hair thing!?" Kurejī leaned on his cane as he flashed a smile, "See, I'm from a place called Tea, and I'd like to do an interview with some Leafies who have met a dude called Maru!" He pulled out a handkerchief, threw it away, pulled out some keys, threw those out, and finally got what he was trying to reach into his inner jacket pocket. It was a newspaper article that had talked about a demonic human puppet causing chaos at Tea during the Tea Tournament times so long ago. As a banana falls down, Kurejī catches it in his hat. Pulling the fruit out, he started to mindlessly peel it and started to eat it. Granted, all that's going to happen is that it will sit in the stomach area until the puppet cleans it out. "Nah, I don't hurt boring people, and at most I might just have a friendly challenge to those who are interesting to me. That ain't my style."

He stretched his body out, before calling up there, "Hey! I think it'd be total badass if you say something like, 'Don't try it! I have the high ground!' I think that might catch on someday. Just think, you can be the first to start a trend!"

Toshi raised his eyebrows as he rubbed in his head, making his brown hair that much more messier. 'Are those the type of questions they asked in the academy?' Toshi never took a class, but from the sound of the questions, he was sure glad he didn't step foot in a classroom. The gate situation only seemed to get that much more out of hand. "A banana?" Toshi began to try and put it all together in his head.

'Yes, it makes sense. A banana grows from a tree. Trees have leaves, therefore one has to eat a banana to properly enter the village.' Gate duty seemed tough. He would always have to have a batch of bananas on him, just in case the situation would arise. He didn't remember each question he were to ask though. He shrugged, regaining his composure as he continued to lean on the wall. 'I'll just create my own questions. That shouldn't be too hard.' The boy nodded, reaffirming his thoughts as he continued to listen to the two. The guy didn't seem to be a threat from his jokes.

'A guy from Tea Country looking for someone named Maru.' Toshi thought about it for a couple of moments. He didn't know anyone named Maru. He wondered if this guy would get in. If so, the boy thought about following him around for a while to see if he would cause any troubles. Life of a shadow. He'd stay at it until he achieved it.

Apparently he wasn’t boring. Hone watches as his instructions are followed before responding to the man. ”Call me Obi Wan Shinobi, for you are no master!” he disappears for a moment before a loud noise sounds as the gates tremble and shake. The noise grows to the sound of hundreds of pounds of wood moving…and a tiny door opens in them just big enough for someone to go through.

”Welcome to Hentaigakure! If you need assistance, the Lolikage can help!”

That done…he goes back to take his nap.

Obi Wan Shinobi eh? What an interesting name. Kurejī will have to keep that in mind as he walks around Leaf. As for getting the juicy info about Maru, Obi Wan Shinobi did talk about the Lolikage. Is that what the Leafies call their kage? Sounds interesting and fun enough. He waltzed right on through as a small door opened up for him to walk through. Yeah, since he is in this puppet form with an all yellow suit, he thinks he'll be Slim. "You can call me Slim! Slim Shinobi!"

He guessed he'll pay this Lolikage a visit. Oooorrrrr, maybe he'll just vibe here for a bit. He hasn't really decided yet.

As the gates opened, Toshi moved a bit more into the shadows to stay concealed. He watched as the newcomer venture into the gates, studying his appearance. He introduced himself as Slim, obviously a nickname of some kind. He also introduced himself as an shinobi. 'A wandering shinobi hmm? Very interesting indeed.' The Genin continued to watch as Slim, as he called himself, began into the village. 'I wonder if I should follow him. He could be a good guy here to cause no trouble at all.' Toshi continued to wonder if it was the right thing to do. 'At the same time, he could be easy pickings for the trouble that's already in here. That intruder that came in a while ago has already taken lives.' The boy sighed, knowing that a newcomer that had no knowledge of what was going on inside, probably wouldn't be ready for such as threat.

'I guess I'll keep an eye on this Slim character.' Toshi shrugged. He didn't expect trouble to find this guy, but he wanted to be safe rather than sorry. Maybe he'd just fill this guy in, and go on his merry way?
