It was an overcast day, and the floating island couldn't be seen from the ground. But beyond the clouds, and behind closed door, a meeting was ongoing.
"Perhaps you are right. Maybe we were to ambitious. Just look at all we have accomplished."

"We'll okay then. Radio down to engineering. Tell them to turn it on."

The sounds of footsteps moved down a hallway, and a voice continued to speak. But the man who was speaking turned to look at the monitors. Energy levels were spiking.
From the ground nothing would seem wrong or out of place. At least, that was the case until the cloud cover cleared. In the place the flying island used to be was nothing. It seemed to have disappeared.
