Kenshin sighed heavily. It was one thing to leave but to fight for another cause? Annoying. Distasteful.
But it was something that had to be done.
His family was staying put. Getting the old military folks to leave would be impossible. They enjoyed planting roots even in the hardest stone. Now Kenshin would leave them and find his own way. How trailblazing. It was not as different as before, seeing as Kenshin would find himself in the middle of battle again. Sending enemies flying with his bare hands was old hat to the old Jounin. Causing his enemies to see illusions, however, made him deadlier. Luring enemy troops into traps, making them relieve their most horrendous nightmare. On one such occasion, Kenshin allowed the enemy to make an advance ordering a tactical retreat. When the enemy reached their camp, they found themselves under the effect of a giant genjutsu that made them deaf. As the enemy soldiers were utterly confused, they did not hear the sound of Kenshin and the men assigned to him kill them all. The poor fools, being unable to hear as their comrades were struck down around them. The terror of battle took on new meaning and Kenshin knew he did his family proud. The Yuu military family was known for using such tricks. Apparently, they had not heard of the Yuu family in this area. Well, they would pay for that dearly and they had better learn quick otherwise it would be a short war.
Oh it was bloody work but Kenshin knew it was time. He would walk away from Stone and find a new purpose. Already some people were looking to him to give instruction! Imagine that! Students here already? Time to take his "extreme" training to Leaf and make it as durable as Stone. For the future, Kenshin would go ahead and make new bonds.
