Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The mission was simple. He needed to deliver the bag-full of prescribed medicines to the following families listed in this note without catching on the flu. It was bad because the entire neighbourhod was far from its usual cheery mood. In fact, he could see some of the kids seemingly depressed in one corner, wearing a face mask like him, while others were probably inside their houses, getting a good long rest. But rest wasn’t the only thing they needed. Proper medication, care and after care, and of course, lots of healthy food to boost up the immune system.

Knocking on the first door, Kiri would wait until it opened to reveal a mother who was wearing a face mask like him. She was carrying her toddler who was obviously coughing against her chest. Kiri was shown inside the house as he would set the package on the table . He carefully brought out the packets of powdered medicine and would teach the mother how to mix them in a glass of water. He also took some time to take the vitals of the mother and the toddler, taking note in his notebook before finally making sure that they had sufficient food and nutritious juice ready.

“Remember, once after every meal. If his fever rises, please come to the clinic immediately. Otherwise, a good amount of rest and fruits would help to strengthen the body,” said Kiri as he would jot down a note and tear it from his notebook before setting it on the table. He then stands and ruffles the toddler’s hair before bidding them goodbye.

As he exits the house, he would continue to the next one. This one was quite obvious, just as he was about to knock on the door, he could already hear the coughing from within. No sooner did he make his presence known that the door would slid open to reveal a young boy, stifling and sniffing. He asked for Kiri’s identity and soon after hearing that the latter was sent there to deliver the medicine, the young boy quickly ran into the house shouting for his grandpa.

Kiri made his way inside and observed that the accumulation of dust in one corner of the shelves was proof of possibly building up more bacteria in the house. He will have to remind the residents about it. As the old man came into view, he was wheezing so he quickly sat on the chair provided by the young boy as Kiri laid out the medicine packets on the table beside him. He gave them the instructions on how to prepare the powdery form into a drinkable medicine, but he also gave a separate one for the old man. Apparently, his case was rather advance and would need an additional potent medicine.

“This antibiotic should help you but you need to make sure you have full stomach when taking it,” said Kiri before glancing to the attentive young boy, “Make sure your grandpa eats plenty before taking his medicines, okay? Also, a good serving of fruits would help. Oranges, preferably.” After which, he would give them a quick check-up with his brought instruments such as a stethoscope and taught the young boy the proper method of washing his hands carefully. Last but not least, he mentioned about the dusts and how it could end up creating complications in their recovery. Finally, bowing as he would exit the house, Kiri would proceed to the next.

Along the way, in between deliveries, Kiri would take out a wet cloth from his satchel and wipe his hands. This was doused with a good amount of alcohol. It was important not to be the carrier of the virus from one house to another, but it was also important not to catch the flu himself. The last thing he wants is to end up being on the patient end of things and his senpai would surely have a fit at him.

In any case, Kiri would visit about ten houses for the day, delivering the common powdered medicine and giving them a quick lecture on how to prepare the medicine and all that. In some cases, he had to reiterate proper cleaning and maintenance of the house since molds and dusts would end up harboring more bacteria which would likely complicate their recovery process. In some cases, he would have to goad the children to try the medicine, which for their benefit was rather awful in taste, but it was effective. Another case was an old couple who had hearing difficulty and he had to overstay as he had to make sure they understood the instructions clearly. In the end, he ended up writing down the instructions and making sure they both understood it well enough. By the end of the day, he would finish his rounds and return to the clinic.

Once back, Kiri would make sure to wash his hands, clean and scrub it, before leaving for his home. Once home, he had a bit of a paranoid feeling and ended up having a good long bath. After which, he made sure to finish his dinner and eat his share of veggies and fruits before wishing he’d not get the flu and went straight to bed. He was hoping the next day would be better.
