Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Emerarudo slowly held back his full transformation as his scales transformed into armor, a helmet appeared at his side which he set aside before nodding to Kaori with a bright green glow in his eyes. He didn't say anything else, nothing needed to be said. She had taken the red ranger energy and made a miracle from it. She had even inadvertantly changed her summon stone into a sword. Emerarudo had taken years to be able to modify his own and she had done the same in mere moments. Kaori was a prodigy it seemed, a true genius in energy manipulation. She could stop the being whom had caused the fall of this once beautiful ancient lizard civilization.

UMnJ7Pf.png

With an eerie sense of triumph the forgotten sage turned to face a beautiful crimson aura emerging from a sword of all things. A cute girl with crimson earrings approached and he almost salivated. If she could handle that much energy then perhaps she could take all of his power and free him so that he might become human again.

"Hello little girl... would you help an old man and take on his burden so that he might go home in peace?"
Black robes covered a scaled humanoid but obviously lizard kin body.

He looked like a lizard in a man's body with a head much too large for his humanoid body. His voice was stable but strained as if he were speaking through a lizard's throat so the humanity in his words was off but there was true sincerity in his eyes. He was not attacking because he was crazy, he was lashing out for attention.

She looked at the strange sword, the 'Starbringer Sword' the sword called itself, for a brief moment before the glow started to dissipate into a smaller, more manageable light. There was an eerie weight coming from her ears, prompting her to reach up with her fingertips to tickle the red dangling piece of jewelry. She knew these were some kind of earring of sorts, but their purpose of instantly appearing was still quite unknown. While she had an inkling on what they were, she didn't fully grasp their purpose for being on her -- perhaps they were some accessory gained as a prize for accepting the 'Crimson Power', which she had dubbed, and just left it at that. She lowered the blade to the side and looked at the doctor to see a brand-new shape standing in front of her. There was a silence from her and a look of inquisition as she saw someone completely different from the good doctor standing in front of her.

She remembered the man having scaly features, so she instantly came to the conclusion that this lizard-man standing before her was him. The look didn't put her off; on the contrary, it intrigued her. She had once had horns and knew the pain of judgment for having been born differently. That wasn't something she would push on to someone who had done nothing but good for her; that isn't her way. Kaori moved her face up towards the doctor to eyeball his skin, looking him up-and-down for a moment. "Oh! That's so cool!" she said, poking the man's scaly skin with her fingertips. This was the first time that she had seen someone with full-scaling; she thought Emerarudo's partial-scaling was cool, but this reached a fevre-pitch.

The moment his voice squeezed out words, Kaori backed off and gave the man space. His words were a cry for help. With the sword in her hand, she raised the blade up above her head and let out her best war-cry; which might seem infantile to someone of the lizard-clan, but it was the best she could muster. There was no reason to deny the doctor help; after all, he gave her something she needed -- power. Karma would sway back in the doctor's favor; quid-pro-quo. "Alright, Doc! I'm feeling strong! Let's get you back home!" she said enthusiastically. If only she had a place to call home. While Konohagakure was where her family was, it wasn't where she called home. There was nothing there to comfort her and almost nothing could shake-off the horrifying memories she had of that place. It's fitting for a drifter, like her, to help others find their way home.

The 'Crimson Power' surged through her body; a power she had never felt before. She was pumped and full of enthusiasm; she felt invincible. This power started to make Kaori feel a bit cocky, still trying to adjust to the power. While she didn't outright display any arrogance before the doctor, her mind is in a bit of a tangle on how to sort out the new-found power. This would probably be the only time she obtained a power without having to sacrifice anything.

The ancient infused Dark Sage could feel her strength and it actually calmed him for a while but the strength of the Crimson King still ate away at his mental capacity and control. Kaori had already claimed 90% of Rubi's power and had not lost one bit of her sanity which spoke volumes for her control but she was still just one woman. The power of the Crimson King Tyrant Ancient Lizard could only be matched by two or three of the Ancient Lizard clan. It could only be surpassed by one or two at best at well. Rubi had chosen poorly during her time as the Crimson Champion and had been trapped in Tyrant form in order to maintain any semblance of life after trying to take ALL of his power into herself. Could Kaori manage it, Rubi had never chosen an ally she simply took the energy like the Sage had and become something else. Kaori had done something different and her zeno crystal had transformed into a mighty sword.

The Sage began to slip into the madness of the Crimson King as his scales changed from natural chakra green yellow to fully empowered black and red. Unlike Kaori he had not managed to become a true zeno-ancient ranger. The Crimson King and Rubi had become Abominations and the madness slowly crept over his mind and body although his soul quite clearly defied the energies screaming against it in vain because at his heart the un named Dark Sage loved the SAVAGE power and freedom of the carnivore.

As madness began to take over his altered eternal form the dark sage held out the original zeno crystal and begged Kaori to take the power from him lest he become a Tyrant Raptor King again and destroy everything in his path.

This was Kaori's moment...
Could she save the Sage or would she be forced to kill him?
Would she take the true font of the crimson energy and master it?
Would the Sage become the Tyrant Raptor King once more and destroy all that remains?
Stay tuned for the next two final posts in the Zeno- Ancient Ranger story of Kaori.

A shift occurred before her very eyes. The Sage's skin changed from a beautiful green color to the color of darkness. Such great power took-hold of the man and he wasn't able to control it. It was entirely up to her to bring the man salvation, using murder as a last resort. The suffering he must have felt for being unable to comprehend or control this great power. She pitied the man and his inability to harness that strength; who knows, maybe Kaori might be consumed by this strength as well. The thought of the man's near-eternal suffering from this power was more than enough to cause Kaori to leap into action.

She suffered much throughout her life; being born differently than others. She was called a 'Monster' by her siblings and those she wanted to call 'friend'. The fact that she was born with those accursed horns made her life difficult. The very fact that those horns birthed a recurring prophecy within her family, to be used as a sacrifice to sate the hunger of the Dragon God, agitated things. Originally, it would have been her eldest brother to shoulder this burden until she was born with those accursed horns. She lost the horns fairly recently to a grand and powerful demon, but a part of her missed the comfort that it brought.

Kaori's stress began to elevate, causing her heart-rate to soar wildly. The thumps from her heart was near audible, even visible over her clothing. Her breathing quickened. Taking the blade in hand, she looked down towards the eye embedded into it with the red-eye staring directly back into her. She knew what she had to do, but something deep-down inside of her was horrified at what might come to pass. She strung the blade into her sash as her eyes fixated upon the large crystal presented to her. She could hear and feel her heart beating in her skull as she slowly approached. As she got within grabbing range, she smiled at the Dark Sage, reached out passed the crystal and placed a hand upon her cheek.

"You have suffered long enough. May you and Rubi live a life full of bliss and happiness in Angel's Grove. Relinquish your pain unto me," she said before removing her hand from the man's cheek and bear-hugged the crystal.

ooc: what a heartfelt act of selflessness... however you asked to take his pain from him so here we go.. GOOD CALL BTW.

With a heartfelt gesture and much naivete Kaori reached out to the man whose cells housed the Crimson Ancient Tyrant Lizard King and caressed his cheek causing a thin shock of human recognition in the gesture. With that she bear bugged his true zeno crystal which encompassed post of her chest. The crystal began to shake violently as it tried to overpower a new host as the Dark Sage fell unconscious with all his crimson energy removed from him leaving him a middle aged blonde haired gentleman with no memory of how he got to where he now was and certainly no memory of the beautiful girl before him.

THE POOR MAN LOOKED UP ABOVE HIMSELF AS THE MONSTER HE HAD HARBORED SO LONG LOOMED FREE ABOVE HIM STARING DOWN THE GIRL WHOM WOULD TRY TO CLAIM HIS POWER THROUGH SELF SACRIFICE.

"VERY IMPRESSIVE WORLD DEVOURER ANNE-ROSE, YOU FINALLY FOUND A MORTAL CHAMPION STRONG ENOUGH TO TAKE UP MY POWER SO YOU MAY USURP MY THRONE. AS THE NEW REPRESENTATIVE OF THE ANCIENT LIZARD KIN IT WILL BE UP TO YOU TO STRIKE FEAR IN THE HEARTS OF OUR MANY FOES OF OLD. KNOW THAT IF EITHER OF YOU FAIL I WILL RETURN AND DEVOUR YOU BOTH. YOU HAVE MY CRIMSON POWER FOR NOW. EMBRACE IT AND AWAKEN..."
OOC: Ok it is up to you to make your final post the best you can with the full final build of your contract beast inside or attached. Crimson Gojira is pleased. I bet you thought you were about to go through pain and madness after embracing the crystal. Fortunately the only way for that to happen would have been for you to try and strike him to relinquish his powers because then you would have had a fight on your hands. Congratulations on your roleplay and not falling for any of my tricks... Bravo

The priestess braced herself for intense and unadulterated pain. She squinted her eyes firmly, delaying for a moment, then opening up a single eye to look around. Nothing. Nothing out of the ordinary happened and Kaori's body wasn't completely racked in pain. This was suspicious; very, very suspicious, indeed! She noticed a good looking middle-aged man laying on the floor, looking upward towards something. This caused Kaori to regain her standard posture and turn to look up at the horrifying creature looming directly above. The booming voice penetrated her skull, reverberating off of her bones as it spoke. It's voice was large and powerful, fitting of it's grandeur and powerful appearance. Kaori looked up at the creature speaking to her and gave a nod.

"It's actually, Anna Rose, sir. And thank you! I'll take it with honor. Don't worry, I'll be sure to eat all kinds of things and destroy my enemies! I'll definitely strike fear in their hearts!" the summon said as a disembodied voice. She didn't originally have any desire to strike fear into the hearts of men or beast alike; only wanting to eat something delicious. But if that was the decree of the previous alpha, she had no reason not to say no to him. Then again, the threat of being eaten also loomed over Anna Rose's head; not something she'd like to endure -- especially when she knows how vicious she could be to those in the Lizard Realm.

Kaori simply grinned and nodded once again to it. "Wouldn't be the first time I've been threatened to be devoured by a reptile," she said, hearkening back to when she was a child to be used as a sacrificial meal for their Dragon God. Thankfully, it was revealed (by her) that the 'Dragon God' that was worshipped by her family was a trickster demon who thrived on control and piety under the guise of a Dragon God. What a sick creature that was. "But you got it!" she said giving the massive creature a thumbs up.

After speaking to the massive creature, she placed a hand up to her heart, feeling a bit of indigestion from having installed the crystal within her. Her eyes turned back down to the blond-haired man and took a knee beside him, placing a hand upon his cheek. "Hey, are you alright? You hit your head kinda hard there when you fell," she asked the man, giving him a big and warm smile. He turned his eyes towards Rubi for a moment and then looked around to see if the sleeping giants that the doctor was taking care of earlier were safe. Regardless of the answer, she looked back down at the blond male and breathed a sigh of relief. She expected to go through something extremely arduous and something horrifying; an event that would traumatize her for a long time.

"Angel's Grove, huh? That place sounds nice," she said with a big smile, looking upwards towards the ceiling.

Lizard Abilities
Scale Armor - Lizard Contract Ability
Members of the Lizard contract take immense pride in their scales, and for good reason; they bestow upon them extreme durability and are able to grow and adapt to their environment when damaged. It is a popular fairytale among the Lizard contract that by emerging victorious in a thousand battles, one may become a dragon.

Effect:
- The user has 5% Damage Reduction. Each time the user is hit by a non-illusory attack, they gain an additional +2% Damage Reduction against the attack's damage type for the remainder of battle. This stacks up to an additional +20%, totaling up to +25% Damage Reduction.

Note(s):
- Example: Being hit by a Fire Ninjutsu would grant them +2% DR vs Fire Damage. Being hit by a Slashing/Bludgeoning weapon with the Trick Weapon and Special Composition (Water) augments would grant the user +2% DR vs Slashing, Bludgeoning, and Water damage.

Salamander's Hunger - Lizard Contract Independent Special Move
Like the myths of a salamander residing within flames, the beasts of the Lizard Contract can find comfort in certain elements, not limited to fire. A unique ability granted by their scales, they may absorb certain elements they are attuned to, and actually use them as a source of nourishment. an enemy attempting to use said elements against them may as well be feeding them.

Effect: This special move may only be used once per round. The user may dispel a single Jutsu of a particular element (chosen upon contract creation) that is active within the battle, gaining HP/CP based on the rank of the dispelled jutsu; this move cannot be used on a Jutsu of a higher rank than the user.

Note:
- Upon creating their contract, the owner must choose a single base element for their Lizard Contract. When a Jutsu of this element is being maintained during battle, this special move may be used to dispel it. The Dispels a single maintained Jutsu of the user's chosen element.
- In addition to the chosen element, this may also be used against elemental damage that have triggered their Scaled Armor passive at least 5 times.
- The user regains .5%/1%/1.5%/2%/2.5%/3% of their Max Hp and Cp per rank of the dispelled jutsu, scaling from E/D/C/B/A/S.

Ancient Tyranny - Lizard Contract Senjutsu
A secret ability of the Lizard contract, usable only by some of its stronger members by locking their eyes with other lesser creatures. This ability draws upon a prehistoric power, invoking a primal fear that dates back to a time when reptiles ruled the land. Even the most stalwart of warriors cannot help but feel their body paralyze in fear.

Effect: Effect: The user stares directly into a targets eyes at normal Accuracy/DC. Upon a Full Hit, the victim has their Damage bonuses reversed for a full round. A Partial Hit will null their Damage bonuses instead.

Cost: 3 Ap; 2400 Cp.

Note:
- May only be used once per round.
- Jutsu subtype is chosen when the contract creature is designed; determining its accuracy and damage type.
- If an enemy Contract summon is hit by this attack twice, it will unsummon itself and cannot be resummoned for two full rounds (it will return with its prior HP/CP/status/etc in this case). This note will not apply to any Contract beast's with the Fearless ability, or other Lizard contracts.
- Someone with the Fearless ability cannot be partial hit by this attack. Additionally, when Fully Hit, they suffer the effects of the Partial Hit instead.
General Abilities
Gigantic - General Contract Ability
Contract beasts come in all shapes and sizes, and there are some that reach such sizes that those around them. This size is rarely just for show, and though it definitly makes them a large target that attracts attention, it makes it much more difficult to restrain in any way other than defeating it.

Effect:
- The user's contract cannot be bound by non-illusory binds, but cannot enter stealth. If hit by a non-illusory bind, they instead take a -3 Acc/Dodge penalty for the duration of the 'bind'.
Dread Aura - General Contract Ability
There are some contracts that over time, develop innate aura of danger that seems to speak with other creature's basic instincts. Someone who's will wavers in front of such a beast can find it difficult to fight rather than take flight, or even lock up in fear at the mere sight of such a terrifying presence.

Effect:
- The contract makes a Genjutsu check against all in battle in the start of each round; targets failing to fully resist this effect are inflicted with Fear, and their attacks targeting the contract have a 15% chance of failing. A victim may only have two moves fail due to this per round, and has a -3 penalty to the initial check if their current HP is lower than the contracts.
Ancient Wisdom - General Contract Ability
While many contracts are reclusive and rarely show themselves to the outside world, do not make the mistake of assuming them to be unworldly; many contract beasts live lives far longer than humans, and with this age comes experience. Experience that can benefit those who heed its advice.

Effect:
- While the contract is present in battle, its allies gain a bonus based on its custom class 'High' stat(s); this bonus is +1 Acc/Dodge/DC/Save and +5% Damage dealt with it. These bonuses do not apply towards caps.
- Example; the contract with this ability having Nin Acc and Gen DC in high would grant its allies +1 to Nin Acc/Nin Dodge/Gen DC/Gen Save, and +5% Ninjutsu/Genjutsu damage.

Summoning Contract
latest
Name: Anna Rose "The World Devourer"
Description:
A fierce and abominable creature standing at 40 meters tall from head to foot and being 55 meters long from snout to the tip of it's tail. Every feature on it's body, other than it's tiny forearms, can be seen as 'over-developed' with an outrageously large head, extremely built torso, and thicker-than-usual tail for a creature of Anna Rose's type. Normal creatures, while having a big head, would also have a whip-like tail. The tail was developed this way to work as a counter-balance for the massive maw on the creature.

Anna Rose has an extremely large mouth, being able to open at over a 90 degree angle. On the top and bottom half of her mouth, vestigial fangs and other calcified growth protrude out of her face. She is capable of using this vestigial growth as another means of attacking opponents, swinging her head to completely shred a target to pieces. Due to the excessive growth outside of her mouth, it makes it extremely difficult to keep mucus (and sometimes food) in her mouth. Within her mouth, she has two rows of razor-sharp fangs. Each fang stands at over 18 inches in length with the two rows straddling one-another for maximum evisceration.

She has 3 rows of calcified spikes starting upon the top and side of her head, down the length of her body, for them to converge at the tip of her tail. These calcified spikes are the exact same type of monstrous growths that plague her mouth. However, unlike the jagged, saw-like protrusions in her mouth, these spikes were smooth and extremely sharp at the point.

Her forearms are small compared to the rest of her body, but were still as large as a man, capable of crushing a person in their grasp. Her legs are a thing of power capable of propelling her through the sky at an impossible rate; contrary to her massive size. She has three-toed feet with torn and jagged claws.

She had pure yellow eyes with a slit for her pupils.

WC: 339
Personality:
Anna Rose is always, always hungry. She had grown tired of the same lizard-flesh within the 'Primordial Path' and upon hearing about the one chosen by the Arbiter, she knew it was her time to try out something delicious called a 'Cow'. After Kaori mentioned that it tasted better cooked, she instantly agreed. While a big motivation for her is to eat often and eat new things, she isn't absolutely devastating. At first glance, one would think that Anna Rose wanted to enter the human realm to reek absolute havoc, but doing that was easy to do within her own realm and that she had absolutely no interest of doing that in the human world. She feared the devastating power of Ninjutsu and felt that she would easily be dispatched if she worked by herself; so thoughts of world domination was instantly off the table.

Anna Rose considers herself the most dominant creature in any realm, aside from the terrifying humans and the power they wield. Against other summons, she plans to exert her might and superiority against them, even attempting to strike fear into their hearts with a single, mighty roar. Her aim against other summoning creatures is to ultimately eat them, not knowing that they disappear back to their home-realm upon being defeated. While she is fairly intelligent when it comes to combat and other practical applications, she is quite ignorant and naive of how the world works. She joined Kaori under the condition that she would learn more of the world and to sate her insatiable hunger.

Food is a big driving force for Anna Rose, another condition of her joining Kaori. She grew bored with the same creatures over and over again. While she does still find other reptilians quite delicious, her desire to consume a mammal had always been on the top of her priorities. There were some semi-evolved reptile/mammal hybrids in her part of the realm and, before she grew to massive proportions, she was able to eat them non-stop; generally leaving the already terrified population of reptiles alone. However, once she got far too big to consume the small ground-dwellers, she had to give up on the delicate flavors of mammals or die of starvation. She found out about the delights of cooking the food before eating it which only makes her more excited.

She is quite impatient, not liking the fact that she has to wait for things. She had already been alive longer than most humans and the prospects of having to wait for even the tiniest task makes her more prone to being reckless or just getting angry. She requires high maintenance with her ego, her hunger, and requires constant mental stimulation while in the outside world. She wants results and she wants results fast.

Betrayal is something that she is absolutely not fond of. Her past was riddled with betrayal and it wasn't something she would take kindly. Once betrayed, her child-like demeanor vanishes and the beast that she is would come out.

She also doesn't like the nickname given to her. 'World Devourer' makes her sound like a vicious tyrant. She'd rather have people she has developed a bond with call her 'Anna Rose'. Though, a name like that obviously sounds like something she concocted herself.

WC: 543

History:
Several hundred years ago, a meteor ravaged a small portion of the Lizard realm; known as the 'Primordial Path'. It was at this time that Anna Rose was in an egg. The resulting shockwave of the impact vaporized her mother and father and her yet-born siblings. Once Anna Rose was ready to be born, she came out of the egg in a mutated shape. She didn't look like her parents: standard tyrannosaurus rex. She was born with a thicker body structure and spikes protruding out of her body: along the spine and around her mouth. She was lost in this world and had nobody left to take care of her. Hunger began to set in until an unlikely parent came around.

An Oviraptor that Anna Rose came to name "Jinx" was hungry and looking for any remaining eggs to snatch. The majority of the dinosaur population had perished and "Jinx" decided to take advantage of the situation and plunder the eggs, unaware of how irradiated any remaining eggs were. Upon entering the nest that Anna Rose was born into, "Jinx" came across Anna Rose and a nest full of broken eggs. It's eyes fixated on Anna Rose and a plot for food, due to a strange partnership, came to mind for the opportunist Oviraptor. It was then that Jinx took the abominable creature and raised it on a healthy diet of irradiated eggs, small lizards, proto-mammals, and insects. Anna Rose took a liking to the proto-mammals.

A few years had passed and Anna Rose was an adolescent. Even at her young age, she was nearly the same size and ferocity of a fully grown T-Rex. "Jinx" had planned for Anna Rose to invade a nest to kill off all of the threatening ones that could affect "Jinx's" ability to work. Once Anna Rose killed and started to consume the flesh of those creatures, "Jinx" would swoop in, grab an armful of eggs and run off, even making multiple trips to stash the eggs away. Both of them got to eat and "Jinx" taught Anna Rose how to hunt; win-win situation. This partnership would last for 10 years before tragedy would strike.

Other creatures, terrifying and mutated, started to appear to disrupt the natural order of the 'Primordial Path'. More corrupted creatures, like Anna Rose, began to come out of the woodwork. Some creatures that were normally herbivores began feasting on the flesh of animals and behaviors began to change. The advent of 'Star Children' threw the natural order out of alignment. Migration patterns started to change and the place that Anna Rose was born in began to become a wasteland. The waters were being over-consumed by these 'Star Children' and the lands were dying due to their presence.

Anna Rose, concerned about her homeland, knew the source of these 'Star Children' and encouraged (if not forced) "Jinx" to follow her to the source; the meteor. Upon reaching the meteor, she witnessed a bright light coming from the massive hole which drew her in. Scared, "Jinx" followed behind. The Light was the most beautiful thing that Anna Rose had seen, even granting her intelligence. Other corrupted creatures caught on to this and started to make their way to the crater. Their instinct took over which lead to the eventual death of the Oviraptor "Jinx" who had raised Anna Rose as a child. The death of "Jinx" infuriated her, enraged her, to the point of losing control. She killed and she ate and the more she ate, the bigger she grew in the presence of the Light.

She was now on her own. Without "Jinx" she had to think for herself and hunt for only herself leaving her terribly lonely. The Light granted her with self-awareness and bountiful intelligence, but the only thing on her mind was vengeance. Throughout the years, she would hunt down and slay the other 'Star Children', consuming their bodies to grow even stronger and mutate further than she already was. Once the other 'Star Children' had all been killed (and consumed), Anna Rose let out a single roar to exert dominance over the entirety of the 'Primordial Path'. With her supreme intelligence, she forced many of the other dinosaurs to look into the Light, granting them intelligence as well.

There were some that didn't wish to remain with Anna Rose, those being dubbed, 'Adam'. She ruled the 'Primordial Path', taking on any opponent, regardless of their massive size and destroyed them with extreme prejudice. Stories were even told that, if given enough time, Anna Rose would be able to eat the entire planet and thus the nickname 'World Devourer' came to be.

After years and years of years of complete and total domination of the 'Primordial Path', Anna Rose became bored. The same things going on with no real change to the world. In the years throughout her empire, she had grown soft and started to think of how the outside world would be. It was then that she came into contact with the Arbiter. She grew to know the man and he told her of the outside world. Prospects of learning something new excited her more than terrifying domination. She was blessed with intelligence and self-awareness and she wanted to use it; to know more and more. It was while talking with the Arbiter that she learned of 'Cows' a delectable creature living in the human realm. She longed for the chance to eat one of these 'Cows'.

It wasn't until she met a human girl, did that longing finally have a chance to come to fruition.

Other info:
  • When she is summoned, she appears from under the ground in a violent burst before jumping onto the surface.
