Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Hello Shieo,

I am certain you have heard, but the Parent-Teacher Night is up and coming quite soon (In a day).
A novel experience for both Teachers and Parents to review the progress of their students work
and allows the Teachers to help emphasize their strengths, and perhaps enlighten in some of their
weaknesses.
While we understand that in most circumstances you're a sub, given your circumstances with missions
and the untimely events that befell you several months ago have weighed on your work capability.

Nevertheless, we are in a certain predicament that may require your involvement. Unfortunately
class 3-A's teacher has fallen ill and will be unfit to attend the event. We have reviewed the available
Teachers and Subs for adequate skills to adhere to the honorary appearances at the very minimal,
and you appear to be most fit for this task.

Normally we would be requesting your thoughts on the manner, but due to the time restraints
we are making this an expectation for you to attend. You will be compensated accordingly and given
sufficient time in lieu to cover the time.

- Hatako Emi, Headmaster

"... Sniff~ ... Murphy's Law?~" He paused, the half-lidded gaze he wore indefinitely had drifted between the letter that was expressed shipped to him, and the ticket to go watch a play reenactment of Robin Cowl; admittedly he wasn't terribly excited to go watch it either, but it was something he decided to do~ plus it gave him somewhere to sleep without being pestered. Finally giving the letter one last furtive look,
he closed both eyes to emphasize to the cosmos the sigh that befell from his mouth.

"Definitely Murphy's Law." With that, he tossed the ticket into the trash-bin next to his door~ where notably the letter had fallen through the letter slot. It was convenient for trash, spam or things he wished to pretend he never saw. Sadly, this was one of those things he could fake-out in. Tasking his now free hands with folding the letter, shoving it into his pant pockets; then turning on heel towards his couch~ Flopping face first into the cushioning with an audible fwumph and he took the remaining time between now and the time he hated most~ Doing things; to sleep.
At the break of morning, and the sound of his hellish alarm clock. His eyes drove open, of course only to their perpetual half-lidded state (When Awake™). Weighting his left side, he slumped over the side of the couch and slowly made his way to a lifted and standing~ yet slouched stance. Finding his way to his shower, freshening up and giving a quick brush of his uniform with his hands and he was ready. With his half-drowsy stride, he reached out~ flicked his door open and made his way to the Academy.

Upon arriving, he was among the few Teachers present; and no students quite yet. It was early morning for most, he figured if he had to cover~ he should at the very least, try to recognize who was in this class, their specialties, records of their weaknesses and of course; the hard part~ who their parents where, because he had to deal with them.

"Jeez... This class has some names~ Bet some of these kids are better'n me at some things, though I s'pose I 'aught to not mention that." He had been musing to himself in the dim-light of the early morning, flipping through student papers and general grades in their fields. It was fruitless work, after-all; he knew that most parents just came to hear how remarkable their students are doing~ and how little they need to continue doing. "Just need to make sure each parent knows they can sit on their lazy-arses and this should be a cake-walk; probably." He had then sat back in his chair; next to the podium of the classroom, and gazed out the windows opposite of the classroom's entrance; waiting until the first heathe- charming students and parents arrive.

Re: [Private] Parent-Teacher Night [Req. Junko]

At both Junko’s sides walked little boys. His boys to be exact. The twins had been growing. Day to day, they attended the Kumogakure academy encountering many adventures Junko would surely hear much about tonight. Unlike some children, they started off ahead of the game as they trained at home. The way of hard work was the Tsuyoshi way, which is why the twins received training from their mother, their big sister Akane, their big brother Yoshi when he came around, and occasionally their uncle Aiko. Their mother and uncle handled some of the shinobi 101, but the Tsuyoshi home weren’t necessarily scholars.

They were fighters pushing through life with hard work. Each battle or spar made them stronger. Many days, it seemed like the Tsuyoshi were advancing in skill during battles or spars, revealing a unique skill of adaptation within the family bloodline. The family was mainly Nintaijutsu based. The twins Father and uncle were respected martial artists through the lands of lightning country, Masters of exchanging fist and the clashing of blades. They even excelled their martial arts skills through the use of ninjutsu and passed these techniques down to the children of the Tsuyoshi clan

Despite the knowledge and skills surrounding them, the boys soaked up things differently and had different ways of doing things. Yutaro for instance, actually was an exceptional scholar based off his report card. His head nearly stayed in a book studying medical practices, shinobi 101, and various other things to expand his mind. The boy preferred not to fight despite being above average in taijutsu and ninjutsu. In addition, the young boy was very gentle similar to his uncle Aiko and mother. Despite the similarity to his uncle, he wanted to be like his father and great Raikage that ruled the land.

Rintaro on the other hand, was definitely a fighter, but a lazy one. His fighting took much after his father, along with his blunt nature, and definitely his laziness during the days of his youth. Rintaro had a lot of hidden potential, he was just too lazy too use it. The lad actually preferred the kitchen rather than training. He liked to cook with his mother, occasionally joke around, and simply be free spirited similar to his uncle Aiko and big sister Akane.

Walking through halls of the academy, Junko had many greetings from various teachers, parents, and children as not only the sennin, but potential contender for the world tournament. Junko’s children were even receiving attention as they were constantly told that they’d be just as strong as their father and uncle some day. Destined for greatness indeed.

”Papa, how long will you be gone this time?”

”Well.....”

”Yu, he’s always gone.”

”Well, this time all of us will be gone if I am chosen.” Junko said with a smirk as his children looked at him with big eyes.

”Does that mean we will be coming to see you fight and travel and see the world?” Rintaro said in excitement. For the first time, his papa might’ve actually seemed cool, but it still didn’t compare to the coolness of the Raikage.

”But ... why must you fight papa? What if you get uhh.. hurt?”

”It’s in my blood Yutaro and Medics will be on site.” Junko said placing a hand on Yu’s head.

”I don’t think it’s in Yu’s blood papa, he often refuses to fight when people picks on him.”

”Ah, he obviously takes after your uncle and I guess that’s where you’ve been coming in with the fights you’ve been in?” Junko said looking at Rintaro who suddenly looked away and began whistling. ”It’s okay. You two should always protect one another.”

”Yu shouldn’t need protecting, he gets better grades than me in taijutsu and ninjutsu class.”

”And I’m about to figure out exactly why your grades are so low today!” Junko said raising his voice a bit in frustration as his boy once again turned away and whistled.

Shaking his head as he exhaled, Junko smirked. Kids.... were a handful. Coming to a stop, they were at their taijutsu teachers classroom. Entering the already open door, the Tsuyoshi family noticed a rather thin young man. He seemed laid back and quite lax. Something not found in many teachers.

”This isn’t our teacher.”

”We’ve seen him around though haven’t we?.”

”Perhaps this is the wrong class.”

Making his way forward with the children, Junko decided to just go ahead and speak to the man. ”Hey, I’m Tsuyoshi Junko. I don’t believe we’ve met. Do you have Rintaro or Yutaro on your roster?” Junko asked curiously. He had never seen the man before, perhaps he could point them in the right direction.

Report Cards:

Yutaro
Taijutsu: B+
Ninjutsu: B+
Shinobi 101: A+
History: A+

Note: Exceptional student, very well rounded. One of the top in the class.

Rintaro
Taijutsu: C+
Ninjutsu: C+
Shinobi 101: C-
History: C-

Note: Often found sleeping and drifting off during class. Staff has reported fights outside of training area involving this student. Overall, we feel as if this student could be doing much better if he applied himself.

Re: [Private] Parent-Teacher Night [Req. Junko]

"Hmh..?~~" Turning his attention to the first entry, a cold shiver ran down his back as he noticed a painfully familiar face. Of course, not by association; but by merit. Lowering either hand, which were tucked behind his neck, only adding to his rather lazy demeanor. With short notice, he nudged himself up to a standing position; giving a brief dip of his torso in a show of some respect to Junko. Facing all three of the Tsuyoshi's; "Morning Sannin-sama. And Rintaro, Yutaro." his choice of words was rather~ strange, it could perhaps easily fool a passerby or someone ill-interested in the conversation. But he had held himself rather stiffly, forcing himself some modicum of respect~ with the occasional casual slip.

"And uh, a pleasure to meet you in person. I am Shieo, an Instructor." He had cast a furtive glance to either of the boys then to Junko; it was somewhat clear Shieo was out of his element having to be in-stead of a role that required formality duties. "They are both on this classes roster, yes. A moment." With a slippery spin on his heel he had seemingly slid to the desk without much in force to stop him, but it was fluid and seemed rather out of place.
With a thumb, he flipped through the stack of papers and snagged two without confirming their identities. Striding with a slouch in his back, closer to the three. He had glanced down at both cards; then to the two boys. With a gentle motion he supplied the two papers to Junko. "As you can see, they're both passing. While both have room to improve, as anyone does." With a pause, clearing his throat~~ ultimately a means to buy time as he recollected the information he read earlier. "Young Rintaro has some areas to improve; given his grade consistency. He knows what he's doing, but lacks the care or discipline in succeeding past that."
Stopping, he turned a dullen gaze towards Rintaro. Shieo hadn't ever met the two young boys before, not formally at least. But he had a knack for reading into motions. "It's something that's found in individuals with advanced intellect. They're understanding of the content, but because of that they make no effort to drive past what everyone else is at... To remain unnoticed." He returned his gaze to Junko, squinting gently. "Not that I'm to judge methods outside of school of course, but perhaps training that motivates him; or exposure to other fields could encourage a greater degree of growth."

Sniffling once, he brushed the bottom of his nose with his index finger. "Hmn.. Yutaro on the other hand has a solid grasp of the course material; but due to the that. He takes care to avoid the inevitability of conflict, because of this I suspect there's some growing tensions from his classmates~ A sense of superiority; although I doubt he intends it to come off that way judging off personality. It could prove valuable to have him introduced to other means of physical activity. Such things while not directly correlated to combat, help stir growth in finesse, dexterity and strength. Such as fishing, swimming or survival practice."

After a moment of his own silence. He granted a gentle shrug. "Think that's all to say initially. Did you have any questions?"

Re: [Private] Parent-Teacher Night [Req. Junko]

“Yosh!” he whispered as he quietly slid the glass open on the fifth-floor training room. Hopping up to the windowsill, he tightened the baldric clasp around his chest before jumping, catching himself with the tips of his fingers just before he fell to an almost certain death five floors below. Just as his feet made a distinct thud against the outer wall of the Aurora Eruditio, the door to the training room slid open with a resounding crack. Silence filled the air as a green-eyed woman scanned the room with, what appeared to be a gentle smile but contained a glint in her eye that only a very angry mother could give.

One might be wondering why Susumu felt the need to hide from his mother of all people. The truth was, he was desperately trying to stave off the dreaded parent-teacher meeting. For months, he learned every method in which the teachers sent status reports to their students and subverted each message from ever coming in his mother and grandmother’s line of sight. First his teacher attempted to send them home with him. After a few weeks of no response, his teacher grew suspicious of the boy. The sudden change in plans almost nearly ended his operation.

The newest edition of Teenage Mutant Ninja Tanukis’ arrived in the mail, and a letter with the school’s official seal laid neatly on top as if Raiden himself came down to bless the boy with dumb luck. Now every time the mail courier showed up at the mansion, he made it a point to be home early to destroy the evidence before anyone got home. His operation came crashing to a fiery end, however, when his mother came home from the Torre earlier today with one of those dumb pieces of paper clenched in her hand.
Susumu
Taijutsu: A+
Ninjutsu: D-
Shinobi 101: A+
History: B-

Note: While student is excelling in most of his classes, at least three times a week he disappears for hours at a time, usually towards the point in the day when his class moves onto ninjutsu lessons. Resources are properly allocated to try and find him, but usually we receive messages within an hour from the Raikage’s office stating that Susumu is there.

While he is completing all his assignments, and passing most of his tests, this kind of behavior disrupts the class. We attempted on many occasions to reach out to his family at his listed home address, but have yet to receive a response. We’re hoping that by sending this directly to the Raikage, we will get a meeting set up with his parents to see what is going on in his home life.
It was such short notice that Kahako barely had time to talk to him before grabbing him by the hand and dragging tail to the nearest trolley station. She was so angry with her son, she couldn’t say a word the entire way there. It wasn’t until she checked in at the front office did she feel calm enough to speak to him. Unfortunately for her, while she busied herself by signing in, her son made a great escape further into the building.

And so here they were with nothing but a bit of plaster hiding him from her view. Susumu searched for a way out of this predicament. Behind him, an old pine tree with thick branches stood just far enough away that if he were to jump, he might make it to a branch and out into the forest. By the time his mother found him, the parent-teacher conference would be over. It was a very stupid plan, but hey, he was just a ten-year-old kid. To him, it was bloody brilliant.

“Really?” Kahako asked as she rested her chin in the palm of her hand and an elbow on the windowsill. Her expression screamed that she was beyond pissed. Impressed that her son would go through such lengths to avoid something as simple as a parent-teacher conference, but pissed. “You realize it is part of my job to keep up with the best trackers the village has to offer, right?”

Her voice made his head snap upwards. “So, you’re saying I can hang with the best of them, huh?” he retorted with the most innocent shit-eating-grin growing on his face. Channeling chakra to his feet, Susumu pushed hard off the edge of the wall. Unfortunately for him, his control was off, and there wasn’t enough chakra to give him the distance he needed to make it to freedom.

The next few seconds were a blur, but both parent and child immediately responded to the suddenly dangerous situation. As Susumu plummeted to the ground with a scream, Kahako summoned her chakra with a flick of her wrist. A thick water whip manifested itself from her arm. The thing lashed out towards the boy, grabbing him by the waist and pulling him back towards the building with the power of physics.

Realizing he was rapidly approaching a closed window, Susumu instinctually grabbed for the hilt of his sword, unsheathing it from its scabbard and braced for impact. Inertia working against her, Kahako braced a foot against the wall to keep herself from falling out behind her child. At the sound of glass shattering, her whip broke, and she stumbled a few steps backward before throwing herself back at the window frame. “Susumu, are you okay?!” she screamed. The fact that his body was not on the ground outside told her that he at least made it back inside. “Kogami-Shinrya Susumu, answer me! Are you okay?!”

Susumu groaned as he lay stunned on the floor. Cuts from broken glass littered his arm, and as he slowly sat up, he shook his head to get the stuff out of his hair. Slowly coming up to a stand, he sheathed his sword just as he registered his mother’s panicked voice. “Yeah, I’m okay,” he shouted back. He had about twenty seconds before she’d probably follow him through the window.

It took him three to realize he wasn’t alone in the room, six to turn and register that there were two adults and two kids he vaguely recognized from class, and another three to realize one of the adults was in fact the Medical Sennin. “Uhhh… ‘Yo,’” He said saluting the group with two fingers before making a mad dash for the exit at the back of the room. Like hell he was going to barely escape his mom if only to be caught by her boss.

"Morning Sannin-sama. And Rintaro, Yutaro."

"And uh, a pleasure to meet you in person. I am Shieo, an Instructor."

Appreciating the lads respect, Junko watched as Shieo motioned towards the desk to retrieve two papers. ”An instructor? But not “the” instructor that has been constantly over my children.” Junko thought as he was piecing things together.

As the young man gave the papers to Junko, it was his children’s report cards. Not shocked, Junko had already seen it as it was sent home. Now was the opportunity to discuss things, but discussing such a situation with someone who had no idea who his children really were would be tough. All the man could do is make educated guesses based on observations really.

Even though that was the only thing shieo could do, he did it well. Shieo made an educated guess that Junko actually seen in his children. It wasn’t that Rintaro was dumb, he was actually very intelligent. He understood the material, could likely ace all the exams, but was just lazy because things were so easy. It was probably time for the boys to start receiving some real training from their father. Little did any of them know though, Rintaro would actually leave a clone in his place during some classes as he slept on the rooftop or went away to observe the finest chefs of Kumogakure.

Yutaro on the other hand may have been one of the brightest in his class, but he had to work hard at things. Junko constantly seen the many hours Yu put in during his off time from the academy. The lad constantly had a book in his hand, had his own extra training sessions, and put in time at the hospital to lean there as well. Yu was Indeed a workaholic like his dad, but Shieo was right. Perhaps it was time for the boy to take a break of some sort.

"Think that's all to say initially. Did you have any questions?"

”Interesting, You feel they may both need a break and a shift in things. I guess that confirms the family vacation for the tournament.” Junko said chuckling a bit as the kids cheered.

Suddenly, the laughter and cheers were interrupted. It was nothing major, just someone crashing through a window. All villages had that on the regular right? (Sarcasm) At the sound of the glass breaking Yutaro immediately got behind his father and clung to his pants leg.

Meanwhile, Rintaro had a different point of view. With the Seikon bloodline running though his veins, the entire scene was a slow motion picture in his mind. Watching the glass break inward and begin to fly towards them, he could see a single shard of glass actually going the distance heading straight for Shieo.

Rather anyone else could see it or attempt to handle the piece of glass, Rintaro would take a single step forward. Vanishing in a blink of an eye as he bent reality itself, the lad had lunged forward and grabbed the shard of glass. Unfortunately, he didn’t manage his speed exactly right and found himself hitting the back wall.

In real time after the glass broke, a smack was heard as Rintaro’s back had hit the back wall before his body slid to the floor while holding a bloody shard of glass.

Observing the other body that flung through the window, Junko realized it was only a kid. A familiar kid. One he hadn’t had much time with, but constantly asked about and seen many pictures of. As the boy slowly was picking himself up, the all too familiar sound of mama Kahako’s voice echoed with concern for her baby boy.

“Yeah, I’m okay.”

In a matter of moments, it seemed like the lad was coming to his senses as his ember green eyes grew huge and realized who he was in the room with.

“Uhhh… ‘Yo,’”

Just as fast as he could salute, the boy was off again. Even though Susumu was running for the open door with all his might, he’d soon realize he was running in place a little off the going in thin air. A field of distorted gravity was placed around him and his movements were in vein.

Watching Kahako enter the room through the shinobi door (window), Junko was about to smirk, but the sound of his child wincing in pain caught his attention. ”What the?” Junko said looking towards Rintaro. Immediately, Yutaro rushed towards his brother.
Checking his bloody hand from grabbing the shard, Yutaro searched for the cut to deliver first aid.

”I need some help.” Yutaro said while not having any medical materials on him.

"Of course, I am confident you'll make it to the tournament. Certainly a valuable trip for any individual to partake and experience." Almost agonizingly, Shieo's expression continued being rather indifferent; the dour eyes constantly but slowly drifting between the three present.

It was only a few moments after the cheering began, that it stopped with a sudden thunderous crack~ and the clamorous raining sounds of shattering glass. While his movements weren't anything to stare in awe, he did move with a certain alacrity; cognizant of his surroundings enough to have turned with one foot leading. With the visual of glass flying towards him from the built momentum of the projectile-kid, he had traced a high-potential trajectory of the glass and moved his free hand to stop it~ not catch it mind you; that would require a high level of finesse, but it was better than moving out of the way and risking it catching Junko's kid(s), or Junko himself.
So he figured, just let it hit himself.

This of course, didn't occur. In-fact, the glass never arrived~ but a different whack echoed in the room adding to the clamor of the group. Which Rintaro had ended up on the other side of the room with blood in his hands. "Ah~ That's not good." giving a furtive glance to the newly arrived child, who seemed alright for all intents and purposes. While he heard the young-boy communicating with a feminine voice from outside the window; it didn't fully register. As he started briskly walking towards Rintaro upon Yutaro announcing the need of help.

Surely Shieo wasn't an expert of medical practices; but he had a strong understanding of a person's general anatomy and it was mandatory in his role to be prepared to deliver simple first-aid on a moments notice. So with his stride, he had emptied his hands to the desk that he past, and fluidly drew out a bandage and sanitary cloth from his ninja-pouch. Kneeling down he gave the young-boy a quick; if a bit forced smile. "Hold still." It didn't really occur to him that the Medical Sannin was only feet away, just instinct he figured. As he took the cloth and started tidying up the blood, shortly after he worked on applying some quick gauging of the wound and utilizing what rudimentary tools he had to treat the wound.

Figuring the arrival of Kahako shortly there-after, his eyes would trace to the new figure and give a momentary nod. Acknowledging her, but with more pertinent matters afore him; kept him from immediate formalities.

Safely lowering her body into the window with a second water whip, Kahako mentally noted that she quite literally descended into chaos. Several shades of red visibly rose from the curve of her neck to the tips of her ears as she scanned the room, intaking everything that happened before locking eyes with Junko, and glancing over to her floating son.

“Come on, Junko-sama, let me go! Let me go!” he said struggling to be released, grasping at anything that might be within arm’s reach with no such luck. All it did was start a slow roll, eventually ending with him completely upside-down. The casual way in which he addressed a sennin made her hide her face with her hands. Raiden, at least he gave the man a proper title.

“I am so… so very sorry,” she apologized profusely into the palms of her hands before sweeping into a deep bow with them clasped together. “We will be sure to replace the window, and any other damages we may have caused.”

Taking purposeful strides, she stepped into Susumu’s view and crossed her arms. By now, he had given up any hope of making it out of the jutsu bind he was in, looking down at her (which was actually up for everyone else) with a sheepish grin on his face. “Uuuh, hey mom. So conveniently enough, this is my classroom. Neat way to enter, right? All the cool kids do it. Wanted to show you how fun it can be.”

Kahako pinched the bridge of her nose before flipping her son right side up and grabbing him by the leather strap of his baldric. At Junko’s release of his jutsu, she would drag the boy over to Shieo and Rintaro, who was currently tending to the boy’s injury. “Apologize. Immediately. To your teacher and to Rintaro-kun.” Just one glance at Kahako’s glare was enough for the boy to sober up from his antics.

Biting his bottom lip, Susumu finally took notice of the bloody bandage on the boy’s hand and the glass shards that laid on the ground around them. He tried to avoid everyone’s gaze, scratching his neck. “But he’s not my teacher…” he mumbled. From Shieo’s perspective, he’d see Kahako’s eyes dilate to pinpoints.

Feeling the temperature in the air drop at the rise of Kahako’s chakra, Susumu quickly dipped into a proper bow. He knew from experience that that meant his mom was starting to freeze the liquid in the air. And she only ever did that on very rare occasions when she was particularly angry. Usually at his dad. “I am really sorry for breaking the window, sensei.” He said earnestly. “It wasn’t my intention to end up on the third floor, honest.” He straightened his back again and brought his attention to his classmate. “And… I’m sorry, man. I have no idea how the glass flew so far, I was only trying to stop myself from going ‘splat’ against the glass… apparently jumping down two stories carries a lot more force than you would think.”

“Come on, Junko-sama, let me go! Let me go!”

Looking at the young one as Shieo rushed to Rintaro’s aid, Junko shook his head. The lad was certainly energetic, just like speedy Gonzalez who was getting patched up. As shieo would be wrapping his hand, Kahako began doing one of the things she did best. Be a mother.

With a single glance and the chakra to turn them all into popsicles, Susumu began apologizing immediately.

“I am really sorry for breaking the window, sensei.” He said earnestly. “It wasn’t my intention to end up on the third floor, honest.”

“And… I’m sorry, man. I have no idea how the glass flew so far, I was only trying to stop myself from going ‘splat’ against the glass… apparently jumping down two stories carries a lot more force than you would think.”

”Don’t worry about it. All the cool kids enter the class like that.” Rintaro said covering for susumu while raising his wrapped hand after Shieo finished. ”Good to see you Kahako-Sama.”

”As chill as ever.”

”Teh, kids. What are we going to do with them?” Junko asked with a smirk shaking his head. ”Thanks shieo, by your work! you may be in the wrong field my good man.” Junko said as if he was joking, but the sennin was still a bit serious. Turning to Kahako, Junko’s eyes focused intensely on her. It had been awhile since they seen each other and Junko scheduled time to personally deliver her flowers, but that was before she sent Keiji to his office. Now, the sennin had no time to do anything extra because the village was in grave danger. Even now, this was only a mild break before he would spend weeks at the hospital until this issue was resolved.

”Susumu.” Junko said as his eyes slid to the young one. ”You want to be as strong as your dad and I, if not stronger right?” Junko said waiting on the obvious reply. ”Well, you’re up next. It all begins here. Thanks shieo for the advice. If you ever need anything, feel free to contact me. and Kahako-san..... see me after you’re done. We’ll be in the cafeteria, they’re having snacks for the young ones there.”

With that said, Junko would gesture the twins to follow as they’d head to the cafeteria with the rest of the staff, parents, students, and lovely chocolate chip cookies. Unless Kahako wanted them to remain.

During a lot of the passing chaos around him; Shieo had only somewhat comprehended what was occurring between Kahako, Junko and the newly arrived stunt-devil. It wasn't until Susumu had approached the Chunin working his rather shoddy attempt at fixing the injury; it wasn't really until this point that Shieo had realized the error in trying to aid the student, when the Sennin and Medical-Chief were in the same room as him; had he any more care to give the world he might have been embarrassed.
Instead he tucked his head and continued the work; figuring he had started it. Mays well finish it- once it came to the conclusion of pinning the bandages and making sure the child was okay he had looked over.

All the cool kids enter the class like that.” Listening into the conversations between the kids and generally how they held themselves; it didn't take a rocket scientist to recognize the familiarity; which made Shieo feel a bit distant from making any genuine connections to make due in part of the sick teacher. "Heh..." Seemed to be all he could manage to get out while they exchanged words. ”Good to see you Kahako-Sama.”

After all this, he had pressed his hands against his knees and pushed himself to an up-right standing position- While still retaining his usual slouch.

”Thanks shieo, by your work! you may be in the wrong field my good man.” When Junko made the indication of who he was talking to; Shieo had turned to give him the attention deserved. Once he finished he only arched a brow for a split moment. "Ah--.. Thank you for the kind words, but I think my calling is to keep at making sure the students grow up and develop their talents."

Given the interactions that seemed to ping-pong all over the place, Shieo had kept to himself generally; figuring it wasn't really in his place to make much more verbalizing until it was necessary. Upon Junko's subtle offer, Shieo had gave Junko a respectful bow as he departed; turning to Susumu and Kahako once the troupe had departed in their own fashion.
Presenting to Kahako a bit more formally now that the dust had settled and the breeze had drifted in to conflict Shieo's idea of dust settling; nevertheless, the breeze helped keep everything cool. "Greetings Kahako-sama. Fear not, Susumu hasn't angered me and we'll have the windows and everything mended without recourse to your or your son. As a matter; he isn't entirely wrong. I am not his traditional teacher, I'm substituting in stead of the classes permanent teacher- Unfortunately they have fallen ill. So... Here we are." He had given himself pause, by coughing into a balled hand. While strictly speaking, Shieo had held onto the professionalism for a solid minute before his usual demeanor started to leak out; similar in effect to when Junko first saw Shieo. His posture loosened, his tone turned a bit more droll than it would be sharp from sounding militaristic. And his expression drained itself from being stiff and resumed the typical dour-eyed visual that he was known for.

"But uh-- A moment." He expressed a single index-finger to indicate that moment; and turned to the desk, fishing for a specific sheet among many. And then returned with said sheet, looking it over and eyed Susumu for a quiet moment as he reviewed some of the details he had covered earlier in the day. "To be brief. As I suspect you've seen his report card; but he has been excelling at everything with the exception of Ninjutsu. And not necessarily because he's poor at it- In-fact, these sort of behaviors suggest he generally finds a lack of interest at the pace of the class. As such, the Academy has taken notice of his ... Timed departures during said class time for Ninjutsu." Having cast a half-lidded glance to Susumu, not hiding the matter in which he looked at the boy. Then returned his gaze to Kahako. "Honestly. I do understand in a way where he is coming from. If he is in-fact excelling at the field; the Academy's general curriculum encourages growth amongst the populace as a whole. When circumstances suggest a student is exceeding the content. We advise a tutor or someone to oversee them to help continue growth, while still encouraging that they partake in the lessons and tests. As without fulfilling these, he will not meet the minimum expectations for graduation."

Clearing his throat. "And just something as an observation. But as an outsider; I do recognize that during these.. Escapades he is likely intercepting the notifications the Academy provides in lieu of his absences. May I make some advisory to reach out as an individual every month or so just to get an in-person interview until his grades increase and attendance stabilizes." Folding the report-card he was provided as reference material; he had offered it to Kahako. If she took it, he would simply slide his hands into his pockets. If not, he'd do the exact same thing, but with a piece of folded paper in hand...

"After my long little speech.. Do you have any questions?"

Content with Susumu’s apology, Kahako’s bristly nature calmed, and she returned Rintaro’s greeting with a warm smile of her own. “Good to see you as well, Rintaro-kun,” Kahako beamed, hearing his side comment, but missing the joke.

”Teh, kids. What are we going to do with them?” Kahako sighed heavily as Junko finished his conversation with Shieo. If he only knew she thought with exasperation at she stared at her offspring and his “suddenly innocent” nature.

”Susumu.” Junko said as his eyes slid to the young one.

The green-eyed boy jumped and straightened at the shout in his name. Though there was no ire in the sennin’s voice, it still struck him in a way that demanded the respect Junko’s position deserved. At least the boy had some manners... ”You want to be as strong as your dad and I, if not stronger right?” Silently, Susumu nodded eagerly. “ ”Well, you’re up next. It all begins here. “

While in most situations, the pep-talk would have emboldened the boy, in this current moment fear filled his eyes. if only he knew Susumu thought with growing trepidation and a side glance to his mother, meeting her eye.

When Junko called Kahako’s name, she simple nodded at his request. “Okay, we’ll finish up here, and i’ll meet you there." Susumu looked to Rintaro like he as a newly found savior. ‘Take me with you,’ his eyes silently begged the boy. But there would be no saving, as Kahako made sure to keep her hand firmly placed on his leather straps as the Tsuyoshi family left the room. Maybe if he was lucky, his teacher didn’t leave any special notes for this.

It was hard for Susumu not to make a connection between the classroom door slamming closed and what he imagined a cell door closing in the prison. This is it… and he didn’t even get a last meal…

Turning to Shieo, Kahako actually felt her shoulders sag in relief when he said that there would be no repercussions for the broken window. While the Shinrya’s and even Ayumu was decently well off, she didn’t think she could explain what happened without dying of embarrassment. “Thank you… Shieo-sensei, was it?” Kahako said bowing again. She quickly picked up a somewhat… lack of passion in his mannerisms, but didn’t find it to be strange as he reached for the information Susumu’s actual teacher left behind.

She listened patiently, taking what he said to heart and mulling over his words. She’d always known Susumu to be free spirited. Ever since he could run, he dipped from the supervision of his nanny’s, nurses, and the general staff of the Shinrya Mansion. Raiden help her, when she started his shinobi training, he sometimes could even duck the genin Ayumu assigned to the boy. But to completely skip class regularly and then go out of his way inhiding it? Kahako would have been mortified at the thought when she was his age.
Susumu on the other hand shifted heavily under Shieo’s gaze. He stubbornly returned the teacher’s pointed look, before glancing to the side in a silent ‘che’ of defiance. It seemed like Shieo was trying to be as gentle about his ‘absences’ as possible, but he still brought it up, and he could feel his mother’s tension at remembering it.

“Of course, sensei. I completely agree. I would have come sooner had I known sooner this was happening. I’ll make sure that either myself or Ayumu will keep in contact with the school.” On some level, Kahako couldn’t find her son at complete fault. Had she been focused more on her son, she would have noticed the lack of report cards. She sighed and rubbed her forehead, torn between her duty to her village and her duty to her son. Another reason why she needed to speak with Junko after this meeting, and probably why he wanted to talk to her in return.

“Are there any tutors you would suggest? I’m sure we could arrange something after school if there is something available?” Susumu visibly stiffened. For the past few weeks, he found himself deep within the ancient forest in the afternoons, watching an old blacksmith at work and practicing the forms he knew with his newly forged katana. He hadn’t really told any of his family outside his grandmother about it, and the thought of having to give that up put him on edge. But he couldn’t protest without spilling the beans about him being in a not-so-safe part of the village that his mother explicitly told him he should stay out of until he graduated. Shieo’s answer could doom him from that amazing place he found, and Susumu began to fidget relentlessly at the thought of losing it.

“Are there any tutors you would suggest? I’m sure we could arrange something after school if there is something available?”

Weighing the inquiry heavily. He had rested his left had atop his hip and his free hand stroked his chin for only a moment; "Hm..." Granting the youthful Susumu a furtive glance during this moment's lapse he had then cast his gaze to Kahako with a dullen gaze. "Well, we could tell him to attend any number of tutors; but nothing can guarantee his attendance, and could only perpetuate more absences." Letting out a breath of contemplation, both of his hands fell to his sides afterwards, giving a weak shrug. "I typically offer some tutors at the end of each Academical day; but it's mostly just obligation to make mention of tutors. I don't think this is something that will be fixed in the matter of days; so what I may suggest is give Susumu some time to consider the alternative." Clearing his throat, he encouraged the defiant child to pay some attention, as he gave the boy his gaze.

"Think on someone you would find ideal to shadow, the Academy can make some arrangements to see if the person in question is suitable for training you; even if indirectly. That way it'll be something you're interested in, and may bolster your enthusiasm in working through your studies." He sniffed, situating the notes into a neat pile and put them away. Returning to the two with hands in his pockets. "For the time being, I suspect that would be the best course of action-- Of course, my opinion is entirely that. And the actions both yourself, your child and his full-teacher take are wholly up to your wills to actuate."

He had slowly adopted his usual slouch again, peering to Susumu; he had spoke once more. Figuring he should try to close it up a bit, "What do you think about that idea? Might not be a bad option for you, we may be able to swing it as something akin to an internship. Put some thought into it, at least." Letting out a final stream of breath to tone down his talking. "Otherwise, I think that should be about it- Unless you have other concerns. It seemed that you had to go meet up with the other parent." He himself, had seemed to have been hinting towards trying to close it up as well. To no surprise, one may feel; given that he was here on someone else's behalf- and there was certain to be other parents shuffling in due time.

Susumu looked up to the teacher who was trying to offer him sound advice. Almost as if he read the boy’s mind, Shieo suggested the very thing the boy truly wanted. The only problem was that he would have to suggest a person that he really shouldn’t know in an area that he really shouldn’t be in. "Well, what do you say, Susumu?” Kahako asked, wanted to get his opinion.

Susumu bit his lip as he thought fast on what to say. The worst case scenario would be to admit the truth in order to get what he wanted. But he really didn’t want to get into trouble for travelling through the Ancient Forest. Maybe a partial truth?

He looked back up at Shieo as the wheels turned. The professor was slouching as he stood, seemingly bored and way beyond ready for this night to be over. Maybe…

“If it’s not too much, Sensei.” He started, intentionally glancing to the side to seem humble in his request. ”I would like to train with you after school.”

Kahako’s head whipped back in confusion while she blinked a couple times as Susumu’s response. She was certain he was going to exclaim from the mountain tops that he wanted Ayumu to train him. Maybe even an ANBU captain with how often he romanticized the branch. But a teacher he didn’t really know? Suspicion alarms blared in her head. “Why?”

Immediately, she realized how crude asking that way might be misconstrued. Her eyes bulged as she looked at him apologetically “Don’t get me wrong, sensei, I don’t doubt your abilities to teach him in the slightest. It’s just…” She turned back to Susumu, “I thought you’d would pick someone outside the school, not another teacher.”

Crap. Refusing to look either adult in the eye, Susumu shrugged and thought fast to come up with a possible reason to why he would want Shieo to teach him. “Well, like he said, I’m bored in class right? If I’m being taught cool advanced stuff in a one on one, I don’t really care who teaches it to me.” Flawless, he thought waiting a couple seconds to really make the false sense of embarrassment sink in. His mom was drinking it up.

Turning his full body to Shieo, the boy bowed, his back straight as a board and head down. ”If you will allow it, that is Sensei.” This would be perfect. Any ANBU or even his dad would be hard to ditch at the end of the day, but a teacher? Ez. He could end up leaving a clone or something with the sensei, and no one would be any wiser. It would allow him to travel to Kotsurugi’s workshop whenever he pleased. Best laid plan ever.

Kahako sighed, still feeling unsure that this was what Susumu really wanted to do. “Well if you’re sure…” she trailed off, still not liking the idea, but if it got his grades up and he was willing to do it, who was she to question the method. She’d pull him off to the side to speak with him privately before going to see what Junko wanted.

Feeling their meeting come to a close, Kahako bowed to Shieo once more. “...I guess we’ll be in touch then, Shieo-sensei,” she said, setting the idea in stone. With nothing else to address, Kahako would start towards the civilized person’s door: The actual door. “Come on, Susumu,” she called before bowing once again. "Thank you, Sensei. For your time and in advance for being so willing to teach my son. I will be sure to let his father know of your plans.”

"Huh... I mean, I s'pose it is an option." The droll man responded, scratching his chin as he observed the young boy for only a moment. Up until Kahako had initiated their departure he kept his eye on Susumu.

Strange kid, can't say I completely believe him... Time will tell I guess.

With the next half of a day passing with relatively few hitches, and only a few disparaged parents at the knowledge of their children's state of studies. Left Shieo both mentally, and physically exhausted; too many people for his tastes in general. But part of the role no less.
Spending the later half of his night cleaning up the preparatory tools, materials and information that he had gathered prior so he wasn't entirely stumped at the event that unfolded today. "That was a rather troublesome day... But I think it wasn't a complete loss." With a stack of papers tucked underneath his arm-pit, he eyed one last page with the children of a 'Tsuyoshi, Junko' as the listed parent. "Seems at the very least, I've earned some acknowledgement and favor of an important figure. -- And a new student." He concluded with a weary expression.

All afore, departing the facility. Yearning for a much desired rest.

Was going to do more with Junko, but due to timing and circumstances neither of us were really capable of fully fleshing out the content ICly. May pass it off as a 'it happened' time-skip for him, assuming Junko is okay with it.
