Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The village hidden in the clouds. It was an odd name, and the helmeted shinobi had memories of a time where he feared high places because of it. With a name like lightning country, being closer to the clouds didn’t sound like a good idea. The memories put a grin on Bōken’s face as the recently promoted genin relaxed on one of the lower rooftops. It was midday and around the time the armored genin would be expected to arrive at the clan house around this time and have lunch with the others. Today was a special day however and forced Bōken’s attention elsewhere. Today was training day.

In wait for his companions, Bōken rose to his feet from the perch he’d taken. The genin rolled his shoulders and was met with the loud clanking of his armor. It wasn’t the norms to try moving around with this much equipment, but Kagetsu were always a cut above the rest. The gear just helped prove that point a little more upfront.

“They’re gonna be late.” Bōken mumbled to himself as he continued to stretch.

As the shinobi finished his stretching, the large backpack Bōken brought began to tip over, knocked around by his foot. The backpack and its contents had been expensive to attain. The Kagetsu clan taxed them heavily, as it was their duty to provide. The income Bōken had left to purchase even the supplies he’d prepared for training had to be attained through side jobs. The extra workload between training and normal shinobi work may have been overloaded for some, but that was simply their way.

“Hurry up,” Bōken exclaimed aloud, kneeling down to collect his backpack, “The butter is gonna melt!”

Kawachi had been sitting at home, leisurely eating a tub of butter as he relaxed in his butter fridge. Kawachi had gotten a decent chunk of allowance after passing the academy exam and had spent most of it on transforming most of his house into a giant refrigerator. Sure, it was cold, but Kawachi didn't really feel coldness. He had far too much blubber for that, after all! Even if it made the butter a bit too cold, it would quickly melt if Kagetsu held it in his big meaty hands.

In any case, there Kawachi was. Sitting inside of his commercial grade refrigerator home eating his butter as he heard somewhere in the distance, "Hurry up! The butter is gonna melt!" Kawachi immediately jumped to his feet! It didn't matter if Kawachi was sitting in the middle of a refrigerator, he could NOT let the butter melt. He could skip training day to eat butter but this had priority!

Kawachi barreled down the street, alternating between a massive, stomping sprint and rolling when running when the boy accidentally tripped over his own feet or a random passerby. As he made his way to the building that Bōken was standing on, Kawachi shouted at the top of his lungs, "WHERE IS THE BUTTER?" The fat lad couldn't really do much climbing but with the healthiness of butter at stake, Kawachi had to try his best. Hopping up and down, he tried to get to the top of the building but just couldn't quite manage!

Half protesting and half enraged at the dumb building that was keeping him from getting to save the butter, Kawachi pulled out his requisite kunai strappings that were required to use Needle Human Boulder! Well, they weren't so much kunai as just butter knives. Kawachi was nothing if not innovative and as he described it at the time, "BUTTER CUT MAKE BUTTER LAST LONG". Rolling up the building that was stopping him from saving the butter, he struck a pose as he landed next to Bōken before starting to shake him. "WHERE BUTTER GOING TO MELT?"
