Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Silence. The Dew of the morning had begun to settle, high in the mountains where Eiji went to calm his spirit as he trained his body to take more and more of the Guardian's Power. Boundless as the realm they lived in was their power, the energies that linked them to Eiji being named Sage, but it was something higher. The link allowed him to draw power that was endless for glimpses of time. Though, today felt different. He requested to be left alone in head. Even though they had a link within him to his chakra for which they would be able to connect with Eiji, but that was besides the point. He wanted a day without the banter, to clear himself for what the future would hold. With Aya and Ryu back. Eiji would now have his team back. As such he would have a budding rivalry with Ryu to worry about. Unchecked emotions towards Aya to decide on. His ambitions to become more than he was born to be? ANBU. His clan always decided to do things humbly. To not be in the open with their decisions and movements but, to work in the darkness to help hold up the pillars from which Kumo stood upon.

Eiji couldnt do that...

After a life in ANBU, thanklessness. Missions to gain intel, assassinate bandit leaders, to be told to do things and to follow the motivations of a leader who barely knew what they were being told themselves. No, Eiji wanted to be the one making the decisions around the village. In order to do that he would have to muster the ideals to move himself on the front page of every Kumogakurian News outlet. To put himself front and center in front of the Raikage and the Sennin. To push the needle and apply pressure to the pulse of the village, to move through the muck and to get things done for the people...

Not just legislation... but real change.

Ah, but as Eiji paced himself high in the shelves in the mountains. The very air up here helped him clear his mind, clear his thoughts. How would he accomplish what he'd sought to do? Maybe by having a heavy metal fist? Maybe by having a rock solid heart that was unwavering? Maybe to be soft as the sands in the beach, allowing his opinions to be swayed as the winds and rustling trees? It was a hard mark to take... his ambitions led him to want the ultimate title of Raikage. However, would he be able to accomplish this in his lifetime? How would he feel if he were passed up for someone that he felt was undeserving? Why did he think Raikage could help him achieve what he wanted to, maybe because there were a slew of abilities he would be able to take up being the Raikage. Even sliding into an advisory role to have the ear of the woman in charge. Thinking silently as his boots clanked on the rocks below him... he could feel the earth below him, humming. Humming as if she were alive, breathing. And she was, the great mother earth had given the breaths of life into the lungs of many people who didnt deserve it.

Was it right to think that way? Human beings deserved many things, but it was those pesky ones that lived their lives to the detriment of others with the purpose of intentionally being that way that Eiji found deplorable. It was those peoples that held back others such as Eiji. They pushed him aside and forgot about him, but he would not be forgotten. Pushing himself into the limelight, and he would be unapologetically himself all along the way. Who could stop him? He was a Jounin in the Shinobi Corps. He was a shining example to the village that rarely made a misstep with his actions. Ever the calculated one these days, the Eiji of his younger years was effectively gone. He wanted more than the younger version of himself would even fathom. That, was the problem with how he felt...

Could it be that he was pushing too hard?

Did he really deserve to pursue such a life? To want to not just be a leader, but to be THE LEADER of the village?

To become more than anyone in his family had thought to be?

Loose pebbles skipped away from his thick leather boots, as he clicked against the ground, over the cliff side... the day was something to admire... the sun out and high in the sky as Eiji himself didnt need the tan but he would enjoy the enrichment that it tended to give his skin. 'What does a man do when all he wants is to be remembered?' questioned rang throughout the mind of Endo Eiji. What kinds of things did it make him to want this? What gave him the right to want these things? To think he was entitled to be such a prominent member of this glorious village? Who knew. The Clues were all around him, as to why he didnt deserve a damn thing. He was an outsider, someone that was Kumogakurian born, but his family were nomads of sorts. Settling here but not being from this land. That merit alone could cause a ruckus about an appointment, if there was one...

What did Kitsune think of him? Did she like him? Was she using him for her own personal gain? Was she a good Raikage? She seemed to carry herself as a high class woman but was there something else to be gained with her demeanor? Was he to continue to be a tool of the Kage to never have his own set of ambitions? Could he work himself to be noticed by her? Who knew... but Eiji was beginning to feel the likenesses of how it may feel to Leave the village you grew up in for potentially greener pastures. Was that how it happened? How people went missing to leave everything behind...

Left alone with ones thoughts for too long they could crumble... Was Eiji beginning to crumble? Some say, Pressure makes diamonds, but was he just a lump of coal awaiting the pressure? And if a Lump of coal waited for pressure that never came would that be the Coal's fault or the lack of opportunity to have pressure be applied? Sometimes one being could not wait for something they were destined to go out and find. Sometimes a person could want something so bad that they, as a lump of coal, places pressures on themselves to show the diamond they could have been but were rejected the opportunity to become otherwise. Eiji knew, that he would definitely be the one to go out and make something better for himself with the aspirations he'd held deeply.

Hours passed, and Eiji continued to think... hone his mind and calm his spirit, because he would unquestionably want every bit of 'smoke' that came his way. The sun began to set, as it does as the world continued to turn and life would go on. Maybe that was the question that mattered most, the rising and setting of the sun... was just as a life cycle. Any day as a shinobi his life could be taken if he slipped up and made a mistake, or even was outmatched. That was a cycle, but the question was... What legacy does anyone leave when they leave this world? What would he be remembered for..? "When my time comes...Forget the wrongs that I've done...", beginning to sing a song alone into the wind. Though the words were definitely true... When someones time came, their family and friends, should forget their wrongs, right?

"...Help me leave behind some... Reasons to be missed..."

Those reasons, as vast as they maybe, could be as simple as saving the lives of a few children that changed the world around them. Had he already left his mark on the people that he taught? Were one of his students going to be Kage one day? Aya? Ryu? Could they remember everything Eiji wanted for them as a group? Or would they rise to prominence after Eiji gave his life for them? Would he do that? Would he take a blow for his comrade? For the Kage? Would they for him? Questions. Questions but the song still continued.

"...Dont resent me... and if you're feeling empty... Keep me in your memory...."

Resentment happened alot when people passed away. Wanting those people to be here just alittle bit longer to say goodbye. Or that they could have fought harder to live on... hating the gods above that they took them before their time. But there were all markers of a person who had left a lasting impression on the people around them. Eiji wanted that. To be remembered as a friend, comrade, and someone worthy of everything he worked to become. At the highest of heights, could he be the one leader that could be seen as not perfect but a man that strived for excellence? Could he be remembered as someone that created an environment around him that never casted a doubt in anyones mind that he cared for his people or his village? As a leader he knew to put them first, to put his own wants and desires aside, but what if that coincided with what the people wanted? His wants were their wants, his desires were theirs to share.

"...and leave out all the rest..."

At the end of the day, he would never be a perfect person... but no one was or is. Could he prove, without a shadow of a doubt that his actions were warranted? Could he pursue the thoughts that would provoke a nation to question themselves and how they could be better people? Eiji felt like he had the abilities, all he had to do was be in the position to lead. Which he would continue to do. Pushing the envelope as he pushed forward. And as he danced along the cliff side, the earth would crumble and break away, but Eiji would still stand, smiling on the edge of this grand mountain range, staring off into the distance. Would he be able to nurture the hearts of Kumo to better the nature of their beings? Only time could and would tell...

But it was at this point... he'd heard something behind him. There was a brush on the side... scattered trees in a small jungle entanglement about thirty feet away from where he was standing. Rustling at first, but then growing as a being would be seen leaving the tree line...

"...Well Well Well..."

To be continued...

[This is actually the end of the search because I dont know what I will find so, I left it on a cliff hanger of sorts!]
