Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

(Yes, that is a Naruto sample they're using.)
He couldn't believe what he was seeing before his very eyes, at least for a moment. His mouth remained partially opened and his eyes seemed glazed over, reflecting the vicious flames that licked about the smoldering shack. Several men dressed in all black were ripping away the boards from the small domicile's sides. One of those men fell backwards through the open door, from which Tensai could see his Granduncle stumbling out from too. The old man swung his wrinkled fists and clocked two of them in the head, one after another, but a third kicked him in the stomach.

Bearing witness to the old man snapped the youth back to functional consciousness, and without a second thought he sprung into action. His expression became blank, and his eyes morphed into a haunting shade of dark ruby. Taking a step forward the red wires around his right forearm unwound themselves as the boy lifted the corresponding hand, and with a snap of his wrist launched a hidden kunai attached to the cord. Ripping through the air so fast the sound of whistling resonated through the small clearing, the kunai lodged itself in the side of one assailant. He twitched his fingers and sprinted forward while twirling the wire around his fingers to yank the kunai out, ripping through flesh and clothing, to send scarlet splashing into the air.

The old man was holding his stomach with one arm, but socked the same man Tensai had viciously wounded right in the face and knocked him to the floor. Tensai had already unleashed the wire on his left arm by that time, slinging it wide in a way that made the kunai's trajectory curve through the air and swipe the faces of the four that surrounded the old man. When his wires almost reached their limit, Tensai yanked on them and spun in the opposite direction after coming to a sliding stop in front of the old man. The sudden shift in direction caused the blades to shift backwards as if rewound on tape, this time causing the kunai to slash the throats of the same four instantaneously. He felt his heart freeze, and the chill flooded down his intestines and caused him to shiver for a moment. He understood what he had just done...He'd taken life.

Two of the remaining intruders lunged at the old man, who managed to fling his elbows right where the noses on each masked man would be. The force knocked them to the ground with enough power the sound of bone breaking could be heard. It was hard to tell how many men in total were all there, and they seemed to be everywhere all at once. It was chaos, and Tensai's fingers trembled fiercely but he pulled a fighting stance next to the old man and slid his foot in a way that drew a line in the dirt. The sound of clothes fluttering in the wind cause Tensai to turn his gaze upwards, where he would witness a trio leaping overhead carrying scrolls and boxes. The ashen-haired boy tossed his kunai upwards, but missed the last man by an inch. The surrounding enemies began to pull back into darkness, and just as quickly as they had come, they were all gone.

Tensai was breathing heavily and his heart was pounding against his chest like a savage ape. Quickly turning around to look at the old man he would witness the old man begin to fall forward, and as would catch his Granduncle before the collapse. "Brave...But if they were Shinobi you would have been dead, don't...Be so reckless again...Never act again without thinking! Do you hear me? Tensai! Do you hear me!?" Were the grave words spoken by the elder. Tensai was staring at the burning shack but nodded slowly, and as smoke wafted into the air the ANBU or other Shinobi would no doubt be arriving soon. When they would finally arrive, Tensai and his Granduncle would give their statements and go through all the appropriate procedures. One question echoed relentlessly in the youth's mind: "Why?"

He wanted to know everything. What was stolen, who had taken it? And if they weren't Shinobi, then who were the? They seemed to be regular people in shadowy clothing, but who sent them?
