Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Greetings! Welcome to Ninpocho Chronicles

Around five-hundred children ranging from the ages of eight to thirteen enroll every year in the Shinobi Academy of Kumogakure. Among those five-hundred, about half fail from the strict curriculum, half of that half end up severely crippled, and every year, at least twenty-five students die. The exact details of the shinobi academy student curriculum are a closely-guarded secret. What is known is that children undergo intensive training in all forms of warfare and are expected to master everything from hand-to-hand brawling to field command of entire armies. The combination of these approaches makes academy students who survive their trials highly versatile and dangerous opponents against all adversaries they may encounter. This is done to uphold a certain reputation the Cloud Shinobi have, now able to fully weed out the weak from the truly gifted in order to continue pushing the ideals of the recently elected government and keep a strict order to their country.

***Dramatisation. Don't worry, we wont actually kill your character in the Academy!

Thank you for considering Kumogakure no Sato,
- or as it is more often called Cloud, as a potential starting village for your roleplaying adventures on Ninpocho. Cloud strives to provide an interactive world for all of its players, a friendly community, and a responsive Council in order to create the optimal roleplaying experience. All types and manners of characters are allowed in Cloud and all of these characters will have their niche in our community. However, before you start roleplaying your character's first days of life, there are a few technical details to run through, the first being your application.

-By the way, I am the Cloud Seer, a shadowy figure with a finger on the pulse of the village, and it's a pleasure to meet you. Posts created by me are often important.-

1. You will need to apply for a new character. Make sure to read the post detailing the geographic, political, and social context of Cloud Village and Lightning Country. It includes information about the Shinobi ranks, goals, and a general description of life within the village. Also, if you have not yet, take the time to read the details on the clans of Kumogakure if you wish to join one. These details will help you towards creating the outline for your new character. Remember that this is a forum RP game inspired by but not copied from the Naruto series by Kishimoto-sensei. If you haven't watched/read the series we highly recommend doing so, but it isn't a requirement.

Application
Below we provide the template necessary for applying to Cloud and an example of how a potential roleplayer would fill it out. If you require more examples, feel free to investigate other character creation threads for ideas. The application doesn't have to be perfect, so relax and have fun creating your character. We are here to work with you to make a character YOU enjoy roleplaying.

Application Example said:
Name: (Last name, First name) (Your user's name must match your characters name. If you have prematurely registered an incorrect username, do not fret. Simply make a request in this thread and an Administrator will change your username for you shortly.)
Age: (Must be between 8-13 years old. Keep in mind the standard (but not enforced) passage of time is 3 months OOC = 1 year IC)
Gender: Male, Female, Transgender are all acceptable
Sex: Male or Female only.
Rank: Academy Student or Genin/Mednin in Training/ANBU in Training*
General Description: Personality & Physical. (These must total at least 200 words for a Student or at least 500 words for a Genin/MiT/AiT.)
History: (Give a brief history of your character at their current state. History also needs to be at least 150 words or more for a Student or at least 500 words for a Genin/MiT/AiT.)

*-You may now start as a Genin, Mednin in Training, or ANBU in Training, but your history must include some description of your time as a student and be at least 500 words. There is no difference in starting stats, it is purely a choice for what you would prefer to RP starting out.

Here's a quick example for you to look over if you want some ideas, however if confused, look over other approved new user applications to get a general feel for how it should be done. We recommend making your history a broad template that may be refined as you write your character.

Furude Rika's Application said:
Name: Furude, Rika
Age: 10
Gender: Female
Sex: Female
Rank: Academy Student
General Description: Rika is a short girl with a mysteriously adorable face. Big brown curls frame her heart shaped face and make her wide green eyes stand out against her rosy face, She is not the typical size for an academy student but what she lacks in muscles she makes up in determination. Now that Rika is joining the academy she wears only the most professional ninja clothing but she is still known to put on a pretty dress for special occasions.

History: Rika has known nothing but love her entire life. Her father, a strong shinobi in the Raikage's guard and her mother, a toy maker, have always doted on their pretty daughter and wished only for her to have a safe, long life. But Rika didn't like everyone being kind to her and she demanded to join the academy. When she was nine years old, her parents enrolled her into the Kumogakure Academy where she would learn how to be a skilled shinobi. Rika is both excited and nervous about entering the academy but her parents have built her to be a strong minded person will do her best. She now looks forward to her first academy class and hopes to prove her true strength. Rika is also excited about joining the academy with her best friend, Santaru Naomi, who she hopes to one day become teammates with.

2. After you have drawn up an initial application, post it as a new topic in this forum: Cloud Character Creation
One of our councilors will get to it within 48 hours at most and comment on whether it has been approved or whether there are additional things that need to be tweaked. If no one has gotten to your application, PLEASE bump it or send council a PM!

3. This is a site with a battle system! You will get base starting stats(regardless of the rank you choose) when your application is approved. While you wait, why not read the site rules, pick through the New Character Guide and the begin to familiarize yourself with the Battle Rules.
-I know this is a lot of information to absorb. You'll pick a lot of it up as you go.

4. After you have been added to the Cloud usergroup, you should be able to see all of Cloud’s sub forums on this site. The other villages’ discussion forums and profile areas will remain hidden to you, but you can see their inner and outer zones. Your first steps now should be to:

Request your academy student banner here: **Banner Request**(Link your approved character creation)

Put up a profile thread here: **Profiles** (There are guidelines in that forum)

5. Now to start socializing! The first place to go is the Village Discussion subforum: Village Discussion

There may be a ton of things to read and it may seem overwhelming, but fear not! The first thing to do is say “hi” to everyone, by posting in this thread: Hello/Goodbye: A Thread That way, people know you are new and looking to roleplay.

One of the first things most people want to do as students is start taking shinobi classes at the academy. Post in this thread to request a class: Class Interest Check

6. Now you can start roleplaying, feel free to start a thread in any of the Inner-Village areas of cloud or join a free/newly posted topic. Pay attention to the tags next to the topic name, as they will let you know if the other player(s) involved would like company.

Remember not to necro-post in a topic. This is against the site rules, and could get you a stern talking to, or a warning.
It's usually considered rude to join a topic that is marked as [Private] without obtaining permission from the other people in the thread. You can do this by “PM’ing” them. While there isn't a rule explicitly preventing you from joining a private topic, it is usually frowned upon.

Once you are in a thread, remember to have fun, and that there is a 50-word minimum in our village for posts. If you have any questions, please ask the council.

7. Once you have begun roleplaying please read about and create a training thread here: Training Forum Weekly training is the way your character gains stats in order to strengthen up. You must roleplay in order to train.

Above all, have fun!

Basic Requirements/Expectations
Down below are some basic requirements that Cloud Council expects players as both members of Ninpocho and members of Kumogakure to adhere. Following these guidelines will ensure players have good experiences in Cloud, with her players, and her moderators.

IIa. Spelling
One of the requirements for players in Cloud is to make the effort to employ correct spelling whenever a post is made on any forum. Cloud Council recommends either employing a word processing application, a dedicated website, or even simply the spellchecking available on most web browsers when posting in order to make it easier for one's own peers to read and comprehend posts.

IIb. Grammar
Cloud Council requires that players follow basic grammar. What constitutes basic grammar may differ from individual to individual but it is generally recommended that players treat their posts with the same level of care as they would a report for an English class.

IIc. Activity
Cloud Council understands that the village of Cloud is only as good as the players that roleplay in it. The Council highly recommends for players to be active and post often. Players are allowed four general roleplaying topics at any given time which allows for players to have several ongoing topics with myriads of people. However this does not mean that we discourage players with either less time or more perfectionist streaks. It takes all sorts of people to create a village and we welcome them all.

IId. Attitude
Follow the Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. Cloud Council requests that its players by cordial and polite with each other. If any disputes do arise, rather than allow the situation to be heated, Cloud Council recommends that it is contacted in order to ensure a harmonious resolution. While Cloud Council will not enforce a "politeness quota", players violating the website's established rules on trolling, flamebaiting etc, may be dealt with.

Contacts
Should you need help with anything or simply want to ask a question, players are free to privately message members of the Cloud Council (scroll down to Cloud Council). They will help you with everything you need.
