Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Hakuryoku Koa was a doctor within this rather shaky, almost uncertain, structure that was called the Medical Branch within Stone. She was a hard-worker, quite the force to be reckoned with if someone dare tell her that she won't achieve a goal, or a dream, an example would be fighting for a patient's life despite the low chance of success. This, of course, was her ultimate downfall that she cared far too much about her patients and not enough about herself. It was a demon called compassion and it really did quite a number on the doctor, whom would go above and beyond the call of duty.

Today was much like any other day; herb-retrieval and extracting some unknown minerals. Koa knew all too well that the Mineshaft wasn't a welcoming place, it housed horrors much like anywhere else in the world, except these horrors tended to be truthful about their intentions and strike you down without an unjust cause for backstabbing or political sanitisation. Never-the-less, all this made no sense and had no place down in the depths of the earth. Dressed in casual wear, strapped together with a large backpack and tummy pouch that clearly chinked with each sway of her hip. She wore a white tank top and almost combat-like trousers with heavy-duty black boots. Somewhat like a Lara Croft of this dazzling realm, whoever that was.

The Doctor made her way through the Mineshaft, tossing her body over rock formations that sprouted their own colonies of fungi. She admired their beauty but was not here for just that. Carefully, Koa would slap on a white elastic glove, a doctors friendliest shield against bacteria and other infectious agents, plucking the mushrooms from their beds and sliding them into spacious jars. It would be at that point that the woman would hear a clunk, some dull sound echoing from near her, where the natural formation of the rocks made it quite impossible to sneak around as even the smallest sigh would be lulled from one end to another. With kind brown eyes, she looked up curiously, a vague smile welcoming the shadows the surrounded her before returning back to her subjects whom she treated with the utmost regard.

But there it was again, another sound, so who could be approaching one may ask?

Strange. So strange.

This cave felt more like it wanted to destroy, more than help. She had been told that there were so many things to help and save people. Medicines, herbs, the fountain of youth--or whatever other bullshit these people praised to. Water of the gods, or something. Monogoai Kurai, the flaming redhead with an accent to throw off anyone she met, felt like she was back home listening to the doctor speak. More medicine man mumbojumbo--just like home sweet home. He was a nice man, though. Cute. Tall. Handsome. Very easy on the eyes--but this cave, not so much. Now, without the help of his flashlight strapped to his head, she was blindly walking through the pitch black cave, her hand on the damp wall, trying to find her way out.

And not step on anything icky!

Kurai was no doctor. The gooey and squishy plants on the ground grossed her out. The small beetles and the juices they excreted were disgusting. There was nothing about the science of this life that she was interested in. At all. Back home, she was a warrior. Back home, things were much different. Aigean. But here? She was disguising herself as a simple civilian. Admitting, if pried for, that she was a Shinobi, occasionally. But mostly trying to stay under cover as the cute little foreign girl. Not a threat. Honest.

And so, it wouldn't be a surprise to see her dressed so unlike anyone else in the village. So many people here were trained killers, it was hard to find anyone dressed like her. They were covered in gear and weapons. All of them. And there was nothing different about the girl she would slowly approach. She could see her long before she even knew she was there. The light from her making her visible, but also blinding her from seeing the strawberry princess. This stranger seemed to be doing the same thing that Kazu was, but on a much simpler organic substance: mushrooms. She was not familiar with these plants here, obviously, especially the fungi, but all over the world they looked basically the same.

Kurai neared hesitantly, knowing that the way out was on the other side of her--but unsure of what kind of person she was. She had a pretty good idea, based off of her hunting, that she was a doctor too. But with her gear, she very well could be a killer. The possible assassin looked up, giving a slight smile into the darkness with unfocused eyes as she searched desperately to see in the shadows. "Hello?" Kurai was obviously very aware that she was there, and stood far enough in the blackness so that if she was a threat she could escape. She simply let her presence be known, and waved a white flag, per se.

Such a wonderful looking woman. Darkened features, very plain in comparison to her. But her figure much more outstanding than Kurai's very plain one. So they were even, in a way. She was busty, sexy, and had curves that Kurai had been praying for since she was a little girl. And she had the sunshine colored eyes and flaming hair that swayed past the round of her, rather average, ass. So that was that. Kurai had glowing eyes, she was dark ones. She was a bombsell, and she had the figure of a little girl.

All's fair in love and war.

It would be come quite clear that there was indeed a person hidden in the shadows of the cave. The doctor, unphased by the sudden appearance of such a dazzling woman, brightened quite literally by this eerily but warm glow that came from the stranger's hair. Koa would turn away from the stranger for a moment, before any words were exchanged, and with terrifying accuracy the woman would slice the stem of the fungi with a metal scalpel. The contrast between the soft mushy life form and the cold, manufactured blade was stark and fairly vivid. Koa would proceed to shuffle the baby fungi into a jar of its own, where an empty label would be prompted scribbled upon with a pen. It was given a strange name, something that most people couldn't even pronounce, and that went for the doctor's that used the little fungi.

She would, stand straight, from being arched over a mossy boulder. Koa wasn't afraid to get a little mucky after all. "Oh hello there," the woman would say with a really gleeful smile as she slapped her mucky paws together, wiping them against her combats before approaching the woman with a single hop from the boulder, "What are you doing all the way down here?" Koa would question the stranger playfully. With a single swoop, Koa would slip her hand through her backpacks's arm, and slide it onto her frame. A sigh would escape, the weight of the backpack was quite noticeable, the chinking of glasses and vials was also quite evident.

"If you're needing help with anything, I can offer up my services!" Koa would exclaim excitedly, aware of the stranger, playing her cards close to her chest but also doing what she always does and not acting like a stern suspicious bitch but a kind, approachable woman that she is. Koa would approach the woman, circling her neck with a few cracks, her expression relieved and both terrified by the sudden cracks that snapped from her neck. Even as a doctor, she would think something was terribly wrong with her at every occasion something out of the ordinary were to happen to her. Or however normal a shinobi's body was.

What a lovely voice, even.

Kurai gave a slight smile, moving into the light that came from the woman, allowing visual sights on both of them. The redhead squirming slightly as she asked her why she was here. "Following a man doing the same as you," She said matter-of-factly. "The Medical Chief." No need for names. If she didn't know who it was, then she was a little more dangerous than expected. The woman put a backpack on, full of some sort of experiments, no doubts. "I...well..I'm trying to get out." Kurai would answer her, taking a few steps past her in the direction she believed to be 'out'. Her red hair swaying behind her gracefully as she turned quickly to face her. "What are you doing here?"

The woman had the same common accent as everyone else, so she was from here. A beautiful woman, in Stone? Yeah, yeah, all of them were. Stupidly, almost. But she had a sort of modest beauty to her. Attractive in all the right ways. At the moment, Kurai was damp. Her dress damp up to her pelvis from dropping off a miniature cliff in here with water at the bottom. It stuck slightly to her long pale legs, and crinkled when she moved. And, of course, because she had freakishly long hair, the end of it was soaked too.

[OOC: Much short. Very apology.]

Koa raised an eyebrow, slightly concerned, but tingled with a humerus tone that slowly fizzled at the mention of a specific name, or rather title. The Medical Chief wasn't just given to anyone, it wasn't for show and it wasn't a fluke chance to obtain it, oh no, it was awarded to a medical shining of great power. Koa's cousin, Oba Kinnaku, was the medical Sennin of Sand and a great woman. The doctor nodded with a loose smile, offered up her hand as a formal greeting to the stranger. "How did our Chief take to being followed? I'm Koa, by the way, nice to meet you." She would laugh, her face scrunching up awkwardly as the brunette strands dangled in an orderly fashion. It was u to the stranger whether to take the formal introduction or to reject it.

Koa would state harmlessly, leaving a gap at the end of her statement for the stranger to retort and identify herself with a name. It would be at this point where the doctor would notice something, a minor thing, but it caused her to take action. She would move closer to the woman, crouching down by her direct side, and with a gentle touch cup together her hands and spoon the tips of the delightful red hair into her hands. They were soaking, dyed a darker red from the water. Koa closed her eyes and smiled before focusing onto her hands.

The temperature around her cupped paws would plunge down until the water that soaked the young woman's hair froze. Koa was in control, and lowered the temperature to the point where the water would freeze but her hair would survive, such a blazing colour wouldn't be extinguished anyway. The doctor would gentle tap off the crystallised needs of water, dropping them to the cave's floor to love the remainder of their last minutes before melting into water again. "Sorry," Koa would add with a chuckle, "I'm a little much - I know!"

The doctor would return to her feet.

"He took it just fine," There was a humor to the young woman's words. As though she found the way that she worded her sentence to be strange and amusing--like most people here. Kazuhiko spoke funny too, even if he was supposed to be the well educated chief. "I think he needed the company," Kurai gave a light smile to the girl, who introduced herself as 'Koa'. Awesome. Pretty girl, pretty name. Great. Love it when they have the best of both impressions. [/scarcasm]

"Kurai." Even her name, despite the origin of it, sounded strange on her tongue. As though her birth name was given to her by people who spoke common, but she lived else where. A struggle to say her own name, ha, how funny. But, apparently, the doctor really appreciated her name, because she moved closer to her. Closer...and closer...and closer--

uhhh....uhhhhmmm...

Her hand cupped her hair, and Kurai looked back over her shoulder to stare at her with the most confused look. Was she analyzing her hair? Was there something in it? A BUG?! She tried to make super vision with her eyes to see closer in the dark--but did not succeed. Rather the woman closed her eyes like she was taking some sort of sexual pleasure out of this, and smiled creepily. "Uh..." Her hair would proceed to freeze. Rude. Koa would pull away then, and tap the ice, and let it shatter to the ground, leaving her hair dry. "Oh." She said with widened and curious eyes, as the woman apologized. "Oh, no--I just..." She trailed off briefly, giving a nervous laugh, "Just didn't know what you were doing, is all." Kurai would say, turning to face her as she stood. "Speaking of that--what are you doing?" She said, gesturing towards the small plants, "Are you looking for the mystical healing herb too?" Kazuhiku had been searching for one--something about a medical break through.

Ahh, it was nice to hear about the Medical Chief. A small fry like Koa didn't really have the chance to meet with him, or the other one, but that was probably just down to the difference in pay grades. Koa would give the woman a swollen smile with raised eyebrows, an expression that emphasised her desire to just spend time with the higher-ups and learn from their wisdom. Although, the thought never occurred to the woman that they might not even be that wise but she always held them in high regard even if they never knew her name or that someone like her existed. It wasn't long before the stranger with lovely red locks introduced herself as Kurai, a strange name that almost immediately reminded her of her lost cousin: Oba Kinnaku.

The former Sennin was an Aburame and used her kikai, and for some reason, the name "Kurai" reminded her of kikai. It was probably best not to say this out loud as it might come across as slightly offensive to the woman; to say that your name reminded the doctor of bugs. It wasn't the idea comparison that anyone wanted.

Kurai probably didn't understand what Koa was doing with her hair, and quite frankly, who could even blame her. The red-head would look onwards as the stranger fiddled with her locks, tangled them around and into a bowl made of fingers and flesh. When the realization hit, the woman would seem relieved but not grateful - not that it mattered - but this seemed quite noticeable. She was just taken back by the act, something that was quite strange and out of the ordinary but then again what was normal in the world of shinobi? "Oh," Koa would chuckle as she continued over to where she once stood, "I'm actually just collecting some fungi to grow back in the lab. Ideally, I'd like to stimulate their growth and hopefully grow my own little colony of fungi to create medicine like penicillin." Koa would brush her paws against her tank top, feeling sweaty and encumbered. She would be noticeably clammy.

"What about you, Kurai? I take it you're not out for a little stroll like me, eh?"

Ryu worked in the wonderland café which resides in the Abandon Mineshaft so her presents her would not be unusual. At the Café she served as the Mad Hatter and provided entertainment to the guests. Whether it was through tea parties, magic tricks, card games or puppet shows she always made sure the customer left with a smile. Despite her familiarity with the dark caverns, not even she would walk through this labyrinth without a light source. Ryu used a tool shift on herself thus changing on of her types into defensive and used a terra shift jutsu to make her path a little brighter. Floating around this Mad Hatter character were playing cards that looked to be on fire, but never seems to burn up into ash. These cards were a part of her and were normally used for her offensive puppet jutsu or to play poker like regular cards. It was her creator’s idea to make Ryu’s offensive jutsu use cards. She figured that it wouldn’t draw unwanted attention. With Ryu using cards they would think she was an expert at paper jutsu and not suspect she was a living puppet.

Right now it was Ryu’s down time and she was free to go roam the village. As she walks through the passages she comes across to people talking to each other. Being that these caves can be hard to navigate the puppet woman walks up to them and ask, “Well hello there, are you two in need of some help? I work in the café within these mines and I tend to find a lot of people roaming around lost to and from work.” Ryu was speaking the god honest truth for she was late to work today because she found some unfortunate soul walking around in the dark. Sometimes she wonders why people even come down here and why Arisu, her boss, would even bother to build a café in such a place. Well human will be humans and they do not always tend to make sense with their logic.

O estrelas que o ano Sunless
Con man brillo por ti foron sementadas,
En campos de vento agora brillante e clara
Vemos a súa flor prata fundido!

Collecting fungi. These people were so strange with their weird obsessions with plants and other things that grow in dark and mysterious places. Perhaps they simply liked the adventure of going after these things. Who knew. "Penicillin?" Her heavy accented tongue tripped over the difficult word, raising an eyebrow. "A medicine?" What a strange name, even! And made of shrooms? Was it healing? Or lethal? "Never heard of it." And she was sure there was plenty more where that came from. A long list that could drawl on forever and ever without her understanding a single word. As though the common language had a language within it.

The bombshell asked her a question, and it wasn't one she was sure how to answer. She stared blankly at her for a moment, her eyes piercing gold, and blinking slowly like an eclipse. How to answer that--"Well, hello there." Oh, well, apparently she didn't have to answer it. Good.

Kurai turned on her heels, looking towards the newcomer, and her face becoming stranger as she moved into the light. "No?" Why would they be in need of help? They were not screaming or struggling or anything. Perhaps they looked like hell? "No, no, we are not lost." Kurai reasurred the woman, scanning over her interesting face and body. Quite the outfit, she couldn't help but think.

Oh, creepy.

Koa would arch her head as another figure appeared, asking a very honest question that didn't need an answer but it would be only polite to do so. The doctor, shaking her head, would raise her hand and speak "Oh, no, honestly we're not lost." She would chuckle as she adjusted her heavy-duty bag. "Although thank you for asking." Koa nodded her head and moved forward, looking at the tunnels that seemed to split off into endless directions to unknown locations. But before the doctor could move, or even think on another subject matter, the first woman would state her confusion as to what a certain antibiotic was.

"It's a miracle antibiotic, well, it doesn't perform miracles but its good enough..." But what else was there to say on the subject on fungi? Nothing really important, apparently. She would look at the newcomer's outfit, having overlooked it when she first arrived, and mentally took a note to avoid wearing those split-complimentary colours. ]

[Short post, hopefully my inspiration arrives?!]

With never of them in need of any help, there was no point in her staying here any longer. Ryu tips her hat one more time. “Well then if you care to visit the wonderland café, it’s the left most tunnel, second from the right, center, third form the left and down the rabbit hole. You can’t miss it.” She then skips down the tunnels off to the outside world.
