Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Sitting out in the garden of the Hyuuga household Yukio felt tranquil with most of his lessons being very hands on and unforgiving it could be somewhat exhausting for both parties involved however this time would be different. Behind the man his slug rested it's heavy breaths causing a shifting motion in the grass it lay on rather enjoying the midday sun the Hyuuga raising a hand from time to time to give his companion a pat on the head followed by Kuji's grunts of joy at being shown attention by his friend.

The lesson he had in mind today would still be rather taxing though in its own unique way after watching and evaluating Soku through their numerous classes together one thing had become clear to him, where they had practiced improving her skills with Jutsu and physical techniques the fact of the matter was her ability to control chakra may be somewhat lacking as a result though the Captain was interested to see if his student had managed to figure that out for herself opening an eye every so often to check if she had arrived yet.

Outside the entrance of the household a member of the second branch of the Hyuuga clan was ready to escort her to Yukio's location though he didn't see the need for such things being head of the household came with certain restrictions on what he could and couldn't get away with though he did appreciate his advisers diligence in his work a slight chuckle escaping him at the thought of such things shaking his head slightly before leaning back against Kuji wondering if Soku would mind having to be guided around the household safe to say he found such things to be rather strange when he first entered the Uchiha household for the first time all those years ago.

Soku had arrived at the Clan Houses district and strolled forward past the Uchiha compound with a smile stopping before the newly established Hyuuga clan household."Well, it is certainly bigger than I thought."She took a step inside looking for any sort of guidance. Yukio had summoned her here but which way to go? A map would have been useful, Soku thought to herself looking around the flourishing establishment. As if on cue, a person emerged from within and motioned to her to follow him as if he was waiting for her."Thank the heavens..."Soku murmured letting loose a sigh of relief and following the clan member to wherever he was leading her at the current moment. The place was like a labyrinth and she noted down rooms and corridors as they rounded corners to somewhere outside the household it seemed like."Where are we..?"Soku began to ask before realizing her question had indeed been answered for her.

They were standing in a gardenlike area and not so far away, a slug rested enjoying the wavy grass blades that tickled its hide and leaning on it was the head of the Hyuuga, the one ANBU captain she knew so well. Eyeing the slug cautiously, she approached taking in this scene."He is..peaceful..right?"Soku had never been in close quarters with a slug, safe to say and quite frankly, he looked quite content at the moment although he could probabaly take a good chomp out of anything nearby given the situation. "It was like a maze in here. It's coming along well though."Soku said relishing a smile to the branch veteran. Somehow, the kunoichi suspected the slug was not there simply because, it had a purpose and she could only imagine what that was.

The ANBU stopped before her instructor looking up at him, a curious look on her face."What are we up to today then, Sensei?"A expression of mixed eagerness and curosity came over her as she contemplated their surrondings. Yukio was interesting with his lessons, she could never guess what he had cooked up for the next one so each came like a surprise, though at the moment, they hadn't been too much of a hassle to grasp, at least not yet and she hoped it stayed that way.

Opening one of his eyes to look upon Soku he reached his hand up to pat Kuji the creature seeming more than content with where he was though quickly sitting up with the arrival of Soku seeming excited about having company. "Yukio! New person new person" Sliding over to her the rather childish seeming slug bumped his head gently against the AiT in greeting seeming pleased to have something to break the peace of the area. "I am Kuji the Slug Yukio asked me to be of help today with your training." Coming to rest his head on top of Soku's slightly his tail pointed to the Hyuuga gesturing that he had something to say.

"As you can see he's quite happy around new people and I do apologize about how you had to be guided here though there's not much i can do about that, Easy to get lost around here." Sitting up the Captain rose to his feet gesturing to the rather peaceful area around them. "As you may have guessed this but it will not be a lesson in Nin or Taijutsu today instead I pose a question to you before we begin, Do you find your are quick to burn out when in combat? Have troubles sustaining your output of Chakra?"

He was curious if she could figure out the steps he wanted to take to improve this Kuji doing something of a cuddle motion leaving the Santaru in a rather strange situation to say the least the Hyuuga grinning at the state she'd been left in chuckling slightly at the slugs attempts to make a new friend. "Yes this is what Yukio told me about and thus why I am here for this most wonderful day hopefully we can be great friends by the end of this."

The Santaru didnt seem to mind the large slug and let loose a smile as Kuji bumped heads with her. He was for his size....a very social creature."And hello to you too, I have a feeling we are going to get along rather well."She said patting the large behemoth on its head laughing a bit. Soku was enjoying the slugs company but duty called and she turned her attention to Yukio whom proceeded to pose two very simple but thoughtful questions. Soku paused for a moment searching for the appropiate reply now getting a hint of what this lesson would contain and also explained the need for a contract animal."I find that...sometimes...yes, my chakra drains far too quickly or I end up utilizing high ranking jutsu techniques early on that sap my chakra leaving me fatigued..."

Soku could think of so many events where this had been a problem. She was profcient enough in ninjutsu and taijutsu but all of that meant nothing when you didnt have the chakra levels to sustain it. She was interuppted by Kuji doing somehwat of a cuddle-like motion leaving in a sense like a animal in a cage...trapped. Accpeting the fact he was simply trying to befriend her, Soku causally patted the gentle giants head although her eyes said something else. How do I get out of this.Yukio seemed to find this amusing letting loose a full smile at the predicament she was in.

"Is this how we start?"Soku asked suspecting that the slug would have a very major role to play in this. If so, forging a bond was key here and a step to that would be a mutual trust and friendship between the two even as childish the slug seemed. She seemed to enjoy that about Kuji although right now, she didnt see what was so funny about her current situation eyeing the Hyuuga with a look of apprehension on her face.

Gesturing an upward motion with his index finger Kuji lifted himself from the Santaru a grumble sound following as the Hyuuga took a few steps towards her. "Don't let it bug you, he's simply having some fun before we begin so since you know what your weak points are today I'm going to show you a few tricks to improve your situation should it come to this. Being a user of Ninjutsu your already aware of the strain it puts on the body." Sitting down before crossing his legs the Hyuuga took a few short breaths before exerting a large amount of Chakra in the area Kuji shuffling over to his side.

"If I we're to give an example this would be you at this moment in time, you exert more than you need to and as such it leaves you open to those like myself who utilize Chakra disrupting abilities." Letting his Chakra calm he gave a nod to the Slug as it pressed it's tail against his back Chakra flowing into the Captain's body as his stamina returned rising to his feet as if the whole thing hadn't happened, Kuji huffing as he finished. "As you can see i work in tangent with my friend here, Giving me Chakra when i run low combine with the conservative motions of the Gentle fist style then even with my limited reserves of Chakra i am still able to fight for a prolonged period of time."

Forming another series of hand seals numerous clones appeared at his side before walking to stand a distance away from the AiT though they didn't make any movements towards her. "What i want you to do is use your highest level Jutsu, but attempt to achieve the same level of power your used to without draining your Chakra reserves like you have been. Don't worry about how long it takes Kuji here will keep us topped up should we get tired." Gesturing once more Kuji returned to the Santaru's side waiting for her to begin.

She watched as the slug and shinobi duo worked in harmony utilizing their chakra watching how easiky Yukio was able to maintain his state and even managed to produce several clones, no problem at all. Soku could too but the maintain cost of a long-term techniqje such as a clone was a costly one and required rather large pools of chakra to say the least. Suddenly, the Captain turned to her expressing that she do the same with her strongest jutsu in her arsenal."M-Me? Alright..."Soku said hesitantly not sure how well this would go. The slug shuffled over to her to keep her fully stocked should things go south. The kunoichi was beginning to like this gentle giant more and more. To begin, the Santaru closed her eyes taking slow exhales in and out and all present would instantly notice a immediate overcast and darkening of the clouds and a slight wind breeze begin to pick up rather quickly, all the correct conditons for a thunderstorm.

"Dark Tempest Jutsu."She uttered the words and the clouds became a almost pitch black color and the white flashes of lightning were viewable as they struck down, the sound of their impact echoeing across the village. That was when the jutsu began to take effect. Rain, hail, sleet and snow began to bombard the garden roaring down turning it from a lushful green paradise to a flooded field in the matter of a few seconds. Sweat trekked down the girl's back and the downpour faltered for a bit slowing down a bit."This is my...max. I fear if I push this jutsu anymore, it may wind up hurting someone or damaging the structures."

A Santaru's power had to be carefully kept in check. Left unsupervised, they could wreak great havoc with the forces of nature at their command. Soku was barely keeping the storm in check, her chakra levels barely holding on. Her breaths came in short, ragged gasps. The trickle of rain slowed to a drizzle as unable to maintain the chakra cost, Soku was relying on Kuji to make sure she didnt overdo it but at the same time, was afraid she might hurt Yukio or the slug with the force of the Santaru technique.

Watching the Santaru at work he raised an eyebrow watching her slow down not expecting her to begin to burn out this quickly nodding to Kuji as the slug pressed his tail against the AiT's back topping up her Chakra lest she run dry leaning on his hand returning to his seated position. "Now that I wasn't expecting your already working up a sweat and your Chakra seems to run dry faster than most safe to say its something you have to work on." Shaking his head slightly it seemed worse than he thought and he wouldn't hide that fact being blunt was the easiest method of teaching.

"Safe to say you will have to keep trying however some assistance may make this easier first off to lessen your concerns though it is not required." Forming a series of handseals a great storm formed around them a hurricane to contain any damage that could be caused by the AiT's efforts. "Second of all think of a river without outside intervention it flows without restraint, that is what you are doing at the moment, instead think of a gate blocking the end of that river control the amount that passes through until your certain you have all you need."

With that piece of advice he remained seated seeming to care little for the chaos that was ensuing around him his stamina more than enough to see him through to the end of this lesson, the same could be said for Kuji happily humming a tune to himself amidst the hail having been trained alongside Yukio the creatures own experience shined through in it's own special way in those passing moments. "Well let's see what you can do with the hints I've given you, I have faith that you will made the most of it."

Her chakra roared back to life, the slug having peformed its role. She had known she had mediocre chakra control but to burn out this quickly gave her a eye opener into how much of a hindrance it was. The captain made a peefect example with the river and gate analogy. She watched as a hurricane of some caliber formed around observing how the Hyuuga handled it with great ease, not even breaking a sweat. She nodded in response and began to weave the handsigns for the ninjutsu technique this time with a more refined sense of purpose and not let it all loose at once as she previously had done."Dark Tempest Jutsu!"Sure enough, the enviorment changed again, storm clouds casting a overcast on the garden and the thunder began to boom, lightning flashing down every so often here and there.

However, this time, the Santaru restrained herself just a bit. All that chakra that was roaring to be let out, she kept it under wraps eyeing the storm watching the effects. The rain came down in a light drizzle lightly sprinkling the garden and it's inhabitants. This was no hard feat and feeling a little bit better, she let loose a sliver of chakra more into the jutsh watching as the drizzle came down at a faster rate. Before, she had felt like the technique was complelty out of her control, but now? Now, the kunoichi felt like she was the one in power here. The one who dictated how strong, how damaging the thunderstorm would get and that was how it should be.

"I see what you mean, Sensei. This feels much more benefical on the chakra systems." She was able to maintain the technique watching the thunderstorm drone on. Soku had to know there were certain limitations on techniques like these. Sure, the more chakra you put into them, the stronger they got but so would the cost of peforming them. They both knew full well what fate awaited a shinobi once his chakra levels hit zero. It was essential to shinobi which was why control was so important and the girl realized what a fatal error she could have been making by simply pouring out her efforts into one jutsu not caring for the drawbacks or long term effects it could inflict upon her in the long run.

Seeing the improvements she was making the Hyuuga let a smile spread across his face before rising to his feet letting the Hurricane that surrounded them dissipate nodding to his student slowly. "Well done I can see your already starting to improve, safe to say if you continue to do this on a regular basis Chakra will be less of an issue and instead become a form of strength for you." Taking a moment to look around his garden he sighed slightly scratching the back of his head before turning to face Kuji and the Santaru.

"Though I don't think those that work here are going to appreciate the mess we made here so how about we bail before they find us." Turning on his heels to approach the household Kuji poked the Soku's back sliding happily alongside her though there was little chance he would fit withing the household whimpering as the Hyuuga gave him a parting pat on the head. "Hope I will see you soon nice lady." were his last words to her before boping her head letting her follow the Captain.

Walking through the halls Yukio waiting for the AiT to catch up before speaking once more. "I'm proud of you Soku as a teacher we always seek the best out of our students and your progress has been nothing short of astounding. Keep progressing like this and you'll be at my level quicker than you would expect, I'm also proud that you have stayed true to your ideals throughout your training some find themselves changed by the process never quite being the same as when they went in but you were different." Coming to a stop he turned to face her his smile still present on his features. "To that end if you have anything you wish to ask or ever find yourself in a tricky position feel free to come here and seek my advice or aid your always welcome within the Hyuuga household."

Soku smiled a little at her achievment glad she hadnt turned this lesson south. A little practice, that was all then Soku was sure she would be able to move on from this obstacle. The slug tapped heads with her and Soku rubbed his big head letting loose a tinkling laugh."Hope we meet again, Kuji. Thanks for today."With a turn, the girl followed behind the captain, Kuji stopping just short of the interior of the household knowing full the structure would not be able to handle his full weight or size for that matter.
Yukio's praise filled her with a new sense of confidence and she bowed her head in his direction hiding a smile.

"It was all thanks to you, Sensei. Without your guidance and help, I could not have gotten where I am today. You taught me, instructed me and devote your time. What more can ask for in such a great shinobi?"She said looking up at the Captain. He was more than a simple teacher to Soku, she looked up to him as a sort of parental figure even if he knew it or not. Any praise from him was enough for her, his praise was worth more than the Hokages. That was how much Soku revered the man before her with great respect.

"You're not just some simple, old, wise ninja teacher to me, Yukio-sensei. To me, you are the father I never had. You have qualities that I deem are necessary for a shinobi. Loyalty, effort, courage and dedication to duty. I enjoy the time we have our lessons."She embraced the older ninja quickly in a bear hug before letting go, waving back as she left the Hyuuga premises.
