He watched as his fist made contact with the hard wood of the tree planted in front of him. His attacks do little to effect the piece of nature, but his brushed hands covered in white wrapping showed him which one was winning the fight. Still, he knew that his current level of physical strength couldn't bring down a whole tree, but that wasn't the purpose here. Simply punching the tree helped the boy build strength and endurance in his strikes which he used as a form of training.
Rakutsu had a lot going through his head as of late. The student tournament was still fresh in his mind and he wasn't very happy with the results of his fight. He was put againest a fellow Uchiha named Ryo in the third match of the first round, but didn't fight for a very long time. The match was over quickly as he was taken down by the Uchiha quickly. He didn't actual get entirely beaten down, but he knew at that point that he wasn't gonna win. Knowing this, he did the smart thing and quit. No point in fighting when you know your gonna lose.
Rakutsu didn't show it, but he was shocked and horrified at his easy defeat. He spent his entire childhood training and doing his best to become a good shinobi of the leaf and a accecptable student of the academy. He always believed that he was very strong, but fighting a fellow student grounded him back to reality. He became angry with himself at the fact that all of his work until then was insulted by this defeat.
He doesn't even know why he was this mad. The tournament was meant to be a learning experience, but he was taking this to heart more than he should. With his defeat recently, he decided to go out into the forest around the village to train, but to also clear his head. He couldn't think properly if he was angry at himself.
Rakutsu stepped away from his campsite finding himself in front of a stream of water. Cupping his wrapped hands, he held a small amount of water in them before splashing it on his face. It annoyed him a little knowing that his shirt was now a little wet, but the refreshing feeling was totally worth it. But it wasn't enough.
Completely dropping to his knees, he stuck his face in the natural water source and started drinking to his hearts content. More than twenty seconds passed before he pulled his head up for air. This might be the first time he was thirsty to the point of acting greedy. But it wasn't like he was capable of sucking of the entire lake so the fishes still had a home.
Satisfied, he made his way back to his camp ignoring the fact that his entire head and upper part of his shirt was now soaking wet. It annoyed him sure, but not to the point where he would go insane. He will simply wait for it to dry off.
