Character's Physical Description: Kurikara is 145.3 cm tall, weighing 38 kg. His build is thin and lithe, not very masculine even for his age. His hair is a dark black, a streak of white on the left side of his head just below the top corner of his hairline. His eyes are a dark blue, though they do seem to lighten a little in the moonlight. He dresses in a black bodysuit, his shoulders exposed due to the sleeveless top. He wears disconnected sleeves on both arms that are also colored black, dark blue bands around the upper arm and the wrist. A pair of black, knee high laced boots finish off his look.
Character's Mental Description: Kurikara tends to handle himself quite well in front of people. He appears calm and collected, calculating everything around him and what the different outcomes may be. However, he deals with heavy insecurity in the way he thinks. He tends to worry too much about what could go wrong and gets easily distracted mid-conversation.
Character History: The Kitetsu family is known for their skill in swordsmanship, although Kurikara’s father was not a swordsman himself. Rather, he worked as a blacksmith for his brothers. He was a skilled craftsman, but he put aside his work when Kurikara was brought into the world.
Kurikara’s mother fell ill when the boy was only 9 years of age. She passed on a few weeks before his 10th birthday, for the family couldn’t afford to treat her any longer.
His father began making weapons again, and Kurikara got into the business as well. After a year of making swords and knives alongside his father, Kurikara began practicing with his own sword. His father saw potential, but decided that Kuri needed to train his body before he trained the sword. When Kurikara turned 11, his father sent him off to school. Since they lived a little ways off from the school, Kurikara moved in with his uncle, Kitetsu Kusanagi, to be able to attend school regularly.

Since they lived a little ways off from the school, Kurikara moved in with his uncle, Kitetsu Kusanagi, to be able to attend school regularly. 

While training, his use of weaponry was stripped from him by his sensei for learning purposes. He learned how to use his chakra effectively, and his hand-to-hand combat skills were brought up. "You cannot always rely on a weapon. If your only ability to attack is disposed of or broken, you are defenseless." Kurikara learned how to fight with taijutsu to become more in tune with his abilities. "A weapon is an extension of the body, not the body itself." With the ability to use his physical skills, a sword was brought back into play. It was a weapon made by his father before he left. However, he no longer relied on the weapon, but rather used it in accompaniment to his original abilities.

He passed the basic graduation with ease, transformation being one of the things he never struggled with. His taijutsu abilities were recorded, and he had just recently begun exploring other jutsu with the guidance of his uncle.
