Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Character Age: 15?
Gender: Female
Sex: Female
Character's Physical Description: A young lady of probably 15 years, her build is more on the slim side, aside from a few protrusions on her back where her Hachiashi arms have "grown in". Her family dresses her in all manner of traditional Sunan fashion, but she prefers lace-trimmed kimono whenever she has nowhere of importance to go. Her long dark hair is usually tied up in a bun, and her fair skin accentuated her lack of outside exposure. Her features are more on the rounded side, and they are usually tinged with a bit of a smile whenever she is out and about. When she is deep in thought, one may mistake her for a brooding young edgelady in the making, but on the slightest outside stimulus her face comes back to life, alert and eager to observe.
Character's Mental Description: Generally a chipper individual, it is difficult to catch Ichiko in a bad mood as she tries her best to keep those thoughts at bay. Her parents were a core pillar of her current mental stability, and have impressed on her that keeping a positive outlook is key to maintaining a positive lifestyle. She instead redirects her frustrations into crafting lace, retreating home whenever she feels her frustrations have mounted up too high. She avoids those she doesn't get along with, but is quick to forgive if any such individual wished to get along better in the future.
Character History: Ichiko may seem like a perfectly normal genin, but she hides a secret--she is really a puppet with somewhat human leanings. She herself found this out at the young age of 8, after she questioned her parents about why she needs maintenance to change parts and why she doesn't grow like the other kids do (she is not very inquisitive normally, and sensed that her parents did not want to have that conversation). She was never really told much else, outside of being loved very much and that she is still their child no matter what, and that has assuaged her fears for the present. The girl is still rather secretive about this fact however, and for this reason generally hides her limbs, where her more mechanical joints are, not wanting to seem out of place.

She spends her free time weaving, and upon learning of a shortage in bandages within the Hospital, decided to help them refill their stockpile. While doing so, she heard stories of life-threatening danger and miraculous recoveries, which led her down the path to joining the ranks of the Sunan Medical Shinobi.

"But mommy, I don't want more arms..." whined Ichiko as she was taken through the process of receiving the cornerstone of her Hachiashi heritage. They looked bulky and unwieldy, definitely not things you would weave silk with. Plus, "I don't like spiders!"

There was a moment of silence as the two parents tried to think of what to do, and the father knew exactly what after glancing at the bookshelves that adorned his little girl's room. He pulled out a storybook about the little spider who could, sat Ichiko down, and began to read her the story while the mother left to prepare for the next day.

Once upon a time, a young boy sat on the edge of a well, playing with a colorful temari without a care in the world.

A spider came by, and called out to the boy, "Hello friend!"

Scared, and unable to understand the critter, the boy loses his balance and falls into the well!

The spider, seeing this, crawls up onto the edge of the well. "Are you alright?" it yelled. "I'll get you out of there!"

The boy cried, his arm hurt, and he couldn't play with his temari to pass the time. He heard skittering above him, and looked up.

He saw the giant spider coming down towards him, and he screamed. "Don't eat me!"

The spider could not understand the boy, but thought, "He looks scared. Maybe I can make something pretty for him! That always makes me happy!"

The boy watched as the spider used its many legs to weave a pretty basket, and his crying stopped.

"All done!" The spider pushed the basket toward the boy. He held it in his hand, and heard a loud cry from above.

"MOMMY!"

"What is that horrendous thing?! Get in the basket Ryo-chan!"

The spider ran away, and the boy's mother pulled him up to safety.

The next day, the boy was kicking his temari around, and saw the spider again. He waved with his one good arm, and the spider waved back, but did not get close.

It was a picture book, and the spider is shown on the other side of a barbed wire fence. Ichiko looked at the spider, horrifying visage and all, and understood. "I... I still don't wanna see one..." She twiddled her thumbs. "But I guess they're kinda cool." Her father smiled, and tucked her in before joining his wife in preparations for the morning.

"She's gone Hanayo." The man's face, slick with sweat after the ordeal, was twisted into a grieving expression. The woman, his woman, bawled shamelessly for the loss of her newborn. It hadn't even been an hour. Her little Ichiko, gone already. She held the lifeless little body in her six arms, squeezing it with what little might she had left as if to breathe her own life force into it, just to bring it back for a little longer.

Two dark figures swept into the room, ripping Ichiko away from her. She wailed, clawing at them as a mindless animal would, but too weak to do anything about it. "It's okay, she'll come back. She'll be back..." Kinotarou restrained his wife, attempting to stifle her cries for their little girl, knowing she would come back to them. Her cries were muffled into her husband's chest, grieving for her newborn, bemoaning her fate. She wasn't supposed to fail. She made this deal thinking Ichiko would live, it wasn't her fault, she didn't condemn her firstborn to this state of un-life. Few things were her conscience absolved of, and this was going to be one of them, she told herself. Even as she overthought the contractions and the frequency of her visits, she told herself it wasn't her fault. Hanayo was a strong woman normally, and she would get through this tragedy just like any other.

Kinotarou did not need to use his full strength to restrain his wife. he was worried for her well-being, but he could not let her interfere with the procedure. He knew the pregnancy was riddled with problems, none of which were caused by either of them, but Hanayo would be guilt-ridden for a long while yet. He also knew that the result would be worth the cost, and that they would be able to recover. His dream of a happy family was not over.

Not yet.

Elsewhere, the corpse of the newborn was being transported to a secure facility. The dark figures were disgruntled, but otherwise understanding of the family's initial objections. "We should dispense with this last-minute retraction policy. We know what's going to happen," one said, almost conversationally. The other did not reply. The trip was silent, and the body was turned over to the appropriate department. The newborn's brain and heart were extracted, the husk disposed of. Today was an auspicious day, the beginning of a new program. Testing the functionality of the regulated-growth solution on a real subject at last!

The brain was transplanted into the new body, a sturdier body, where it is then submerged in the solution and observed for abnormalities. As per the agreement, if the solution failed, the family would be refunded their deposit (minus the newborn) and given condolences for their loss as well as the shell of the subject, since the project would no longer have use for it and the family tends to need to it mourn their loss. But this scientist was determined to have it work. It was the rare chakra manipulating capabilities of a Hachiashi descendant after all, it simply wouldn't do to waste this specimen the family has so graciously provided. He tweaked and tested on various animal specimens prior to this one, and there were differences between the species, it's true, but he was confident this solution would work to foster mitosis on a deeper level.

Days passed. Weeks. No word from the people the couple had entrusted their only child to. Hanayo was inconsolable during the first week, and who could he blame but himself? Kinotarou was the one who suggested it, and even advocated for it as a contingency plan at the cost of their fortunes. His wife was now despondent, and hadn't eaten in days. He tried to speak to her, to no avail usually, but at least she seemed to acknowledge his existence last week. It was getting unbearable. "Hanayo, please..." he begged weakly. "Please, talk to me... Even if you're angry, or sad, or maybe even relieved, just... just say something!"

His wife was silent.

He couldn't take any more of this. "Answer me woman!" He shook her, and her head lolled from side to side limply. "Why?! Why are you doing this to me?" He shoved her back down onto the chair she had been sitting on. "You think I wanted this to happen? You think this will solve anything?! Why won't you talk to me!" He punched the door to their living room down with all three arms on one side, and a blast sounded throughout the neighborhood. "I just wanted us to have a family damn you! How was I supposed to know that... that..." He glanced back at his wife. His light.

She'd stood up, and the emotion had returned to her pallid face. The woman he loved had returned, and she was trying to console him, after his outburst. Hanayo reached her hand out to feel his forehead. "You're burning up, Kino-kun." She smiled, and he pulled her into a tight hug. "I'm sorry, I'm so sorry Hanayo..." he blubbered through tears. "I was just so worried, and you hadn't eaten, and I..." She rubbed his back soothingly, quashing her own grief for a time. She would get through this, with him. With her little hummingbird.

Life returned to normal, after a fashion, and the two were performing their duties at their respective jobs once more. They lived a simple life, and they were happier for it. Not a word was ever spoken about trying for another, not until they were given absolute word that their contingency plan had failed. One fateful day however, a series of knocks on the door, in a particular pattern, jolted the man to attention. "They're here."

The couple was blessed in that their child never asked them questions they could not answer. "It'll help you grow honey!" was a stock answer they were told to revert to, and it worked every time. Life with their child was more than they could ever have hoped for, and Ichiko was growing into a beautiful young lady, thanks to the parts supplied by their benefactors. They managed to convince her that the maintenance and part replacement was a normal part of life for a time, but by the age of 8, she had developed reasoning capabilities that forced them to tell her the truth: She was a puppet. She would not grow conventionally. The couple did not know their child was a test subject, and didn't think too deeply into why their child was able to develop skills as any human child would, so they were unable to answer her questions after a time.

Ichiko was never resentful of this however, opting to be grateful for her current life while still longing for a normal human body. She was taught how to detach her own limbs for maintenance, and has thought of ways in which these unique traits would be useful in combat. And she could detach the extra limbs to leave them at home if she wished to wear something a little more form-fitting! How convenient, she thought, at least until she ventured a little too far from them and lost control, causing some very distressing reactions in her mind after essentially losing four limbs. She was chastised a little for this, but she still regularly walks around with most of her arms stowed away in a bag to her side. She understood that they were an important part of her, but that didn't mean she had to compromise her fashion sensibilities for them, at least most of the time.

The girl took her genin examination without going through the Academy, mostly because she didn't want to risk exposing her true nature, but also because there was not much need for it. Her parents were capable enough to teach her all she needed to know about combat, and because they possessed the same bloodline, they were able to tailor (no pun intended) Ichiko's instruction to her exact specifications. She grew an interest in weaving for non-combat purposes after they taught her how to utilize her silk-spinning skills, and now regularly engages in a regular little girl pastime of embroidery. The body provided by their benefactors allowed her to spin silk from her scalp, and while some spots on her scalp are easier to stimulate growth from than others, Ichiko preferred this to the slower techniques her parents showed her, weaving silk from specialized glands in their mouths.

She also received instruction from the benefactors on the usage of her body, as well as the possibility of creating new bodies for herself. Ichiko wasn't too keen on the idea, but they supplied her with materials involving the creation and usage of other bodies for the betterment of her own combat capabilities. Her parents did not push her to learn of such things, after reading through exactly what these bodies would have to go through in order to be of use to their little girl. They kept these materials hidden away, as per instruction, and while Ichiko knows how to perform these procedures, she vehemently refuses to do so citing "ick factor" as her reason. All she knew was that she is going to save lives, not end them.

It had been a few days since the experiment began, and the scientist was absolutely ecstatic about the results thus far. He would need to move the brain and heart into a different vessel, as this prototype would not manifest its abilities to the full extent, but other than that everything was proceeding rather well. He was far from being the top dog at this establishment, but right now he felt like he was the king of the world. With this, his research into fully manufactured automatons has proceeded a step forward. For now though, he would need to work on the vessel his pride and joy would be transferred into. The scientist summoned a messenger, and left a note with him to be sent to their artisans, along with clearance to take the body out of their archives for study.

I'll adjust log the adjustments in your old training thread and will archive Naoki's stuff once you have the Profile/Dojo/Training thread for Ichiko up. Also remember to choose a BL Branch.

You will also need to submit a Contract Application for your Tsukumogami, to make sure that the method of acquisition pleases the Contract Overlords before you are officially considered to possess the contract.

Go forth and get your name changed and flourish, Spider-Lady.

Yayyyy also probably Kumo-Tsukamaeru so I can catch all the things, where do I note that? Also I have a dojo requested and a profile made, just need to do a training now

btw is my med-nin in training status also ok'd? Or do I need to do something other than just enroll to be a MiT?

Will handle contract later, won't need it for a while yet >w>

Thank you!
