Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The Sennin had never seen another village before and, safe to say, the man couldn't help but be curious what life was like outside the leaf village walking through the streets as his head tilted from side to side taking a moment to take in each structure and the people around it nodding slowly as he began to understand generally what life was like on the surface before stopping a moment to think. "Well now I am here but it's not like I know exactly where anything is." It was something of an annoying realization the man tilting his head back to look from where he had come from.

Taking a moment to adjust his robes preventing the one unused sleeve from flapping in the wind the man sighed and continued walking the quiet voice of Chinatsu whispering though the robes. "You know you could just ask somebody, safe to say we could use a drink I wish to see how they compare to what we have back home." With a sigh and a slight shaking of his head the man spoke in hushed tones addressing his rather eager companion with the voice of reason. "You know full well I cannot simply parade you around this village, It took the people of leaf long enough to get used to you nevermind a place we aren't native too."

Chinatsu grunted knowing he couldn't argue with the logic at hand however that at no point meant he had to like it. "Doesn't change the fact we need a drink though." Rolling his eyes the man conceded defeat his objective changing shortly after from sightseeing to bar hunting to satisfy his friends curiosities.

Life in Kumogakure was full of vibrance within the Susukino district. The loud sound of people bartering with merchants, talking amongst themselves and each other flooded the district. Known for its restaurants, entertainment and stores, Susukino was the haven for a shopaholic or the lone kunoichi who had recently come back from a mentally exhausting mission. In search of new clothing the young girl meandered around the bustling streets. Walking through the inhabitants of the village as if she was transparent Miro peered over at multiple clothing stores and even-...! Boooorrr….. The growling sound of her stomach could silence a stadium let alone the entire district. Her fair skin tone rapidly turned into a bright rose, embarrassed by the sound of a neglected stomach.
With an arm on her hip her posture bent every which way looking for any signs of interesting eateries. Raising her nose into the sky a delectable scent invaded her senses. The alluring scent of mushrooms, onions and meat made her stomach growl even louder. Practically begging her to find the source. ‘How strange.’ Thinking to herself, looking back on the few times she had eaten this week it was no wonder her mind felt the need to be outspoken. Inhaling again another scent caught her attention. Foreign and odd the scent belonged to a traveler or a few? Instinctively Mirō followed the odd scent, remaining vigilant it wouldn’t be long before those gold hues spotted him. A tall figure who definitely looked out of place as he was shrouded in mystery.
Connecting the dots Mirō concluded that he must’ve been one of the visitors from Fire country. Within her branch it was natural for her to know who enters and exits the village. However, names, reasons and genders would have to be solved face to face. Not one for confrontation it took willpower to intervene in front of the figure. With friendly intent a soft smile appeared on her lips. “Excuse me.” Pardoning herself, “Aren’t you one of the few that are traveling from Fire?” Knowing full well that they were Miro didn’t want to come off like a stalker. Regardless that that was her forte. “I’m jealous of travellers honestly. I’ve been stuck here for a few years and I want to see the world.” Her scarred face attempted to look into the strangers eyes. “I’m Mirō Uchiha. Proud kunoichi of Kumogakure. I know this might seem far fetched but…” Gold hues inspected his ominous trench coat before returning up to his gaze. “Would you like to grab something to eat? I’d love to know more about Fire Country. Who knows, I might travel there some day!” Leaping out of her comfort zone her developing figure spun around to seek out that previous scent. Extending her arm a fine digit pointed out a family owned eatery. “How about there at the Yakitori 4rm Yu? I think they sell drinks too.” Turning back to face the stranger. “What do ya say… Sorry, I’m moving too fast. What’s your name?”

Nagisa would also find herself wondering around. She was not as shy as others and asked people where things were. A kind word here and a flash of money and she had herself a rough map of the area. Nagisa wasn't a people person but she had worked with enough people to know how to get to know someone. Her blue jacket flapped in the wind as she turned around looking towards the streets. She wanted to explore as much as she could. Any information she could gleam about the everyday life of Clould shinobi could be beneficial especially if they were to be allies. Hopefully, this would be the case by the time they left.

She would recognize Yukio from a distance but before she could approach a younger looking Cloud shinobi began talking to him. Knowing Yukio had the emotional range of a well polished rock, she decided to intervene No need to restart hostilities. Her blue monk attire with the blue jacket stood out enough that she got the odd glace as she made a beeline towards Yukio and the Cloud shinobi.

" Yukio! Fancy meting you here. Sorry for the interruption there miss. I am Nagisa also of the Fire country. If he has said anything rude to you, I apologize. I think i heard you were talking about getting drinks and maybe food? I would very much appreciate it if you were to act as our unofficial guide."

Hearing the voice the man turned his head to face them meeting the Kunoichi's gaze having not expected anyone to talk to him in the moment Chinatsu going silent to as to not reveal the fact it was there. "I am indeed, here as a member of the delegation though I thought I would see what the culture is like here when compared to my own village. So your timing could not have been more perfect at this moment." A smile crossed the man's face genuinely pleased to see the people were as approachable as he had hoped they would be.

Taking a moment to engrave her name to memory the man nodded. "Miro is it? A pleasure Uchiha Yukio is what I am know as and you read my mind, I was thinking about getting a drink safe to say after a long journey there is nothing more pleasant than getting a refreshing drink to end off the day." Looking towards where Miro has gestured the Sennin nodded not in any position to pick a place to go to himself after all he was new here and didn't even know where what would be considered regular for locals in the area. It was at that moment he heard Nagisa approaching them turning to face his fellow Sennin with a slight bow is his head in greeting.

"Glad you could join us Nagisa, I see you have come to take a look around the village as well. So far I feel things are quite different here compared to our own village thus far." Turning back to Miro the man gestured to her as a sign he would follow her lead. "After you, I will trust whatever you judge to be appropriate at this moment in time.

Taking her for surprise another outsider appeared from the wood works. Another friendly face made Mirō subtly smile. It was nice to see other nations shown kindness to each other, even friendliness towards natives of different villages. Gold hues turned to watch the fashionable traveler meander over to them. “Nice to meet you, Nagisa. Yukio. I’m Mirō Kagami.” Smiling back an arm rested on her hip. Introductions were made a low grumble in her stomach voiced its opinion once again. “I can’t wait any longer let’s go eat.”

Easing into her newly found bubble Mirō escorted the two Leaf travelers a short black down towards the restaurant. Nearing its open doorway the alluring scent of warm food made her mouth water. Spinning around motioned for Nagisa and Yukio to head in first. Thankful for the time of day there was hardly a line to order their food. Looking over her shoulder gold hues looked Yukio up and down. “Uchiha huh. It’s neat to see how far our bloodline has gone. Reaching even Fire Country? I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.” Snickering to herself Mirō beckoned both up to order. Rattling off her surprisingly large order for such a petite girl she awaited the others to decide on what they wanted to feast on. “So, if you both don’t mind me asking…” Pausing momentarily she collected the right wording. “How do you guys know each other. Working together? You both dress for different occasions.” Throughout Kumogakure it wasn’t common to see matching or even similar attire. Perhaps even Mirō was blind to a fashion sense. Sporting white bandages around her waist keeping her gray garb that matched shoulder height sleeves down, she couldn’t be the one to address a fashion sense.

Nagisa nodded towards both and followed towards food. Yes it was time to see the local cuisine. Nagisa listened to the Cloud shinobi ordered and ordered something similar although in a much smaller amount as she was going to sample a little of everything. Local cuisine is a great way to heal people and if they ever had a Cloud ninja hurt in Leaf they Nagisa would try to make dishes similar to this style. Healing can take many forms.

"We work together. I am a medical ninja so I work with all sorts. I am the go to medical person in dangerous situations if the need calls for it. Some call me a battle medic and they would be right. Although Yukio is my superior in fighting. What about you? Do you belong to a branch that you can tell us? Forgive me but you seem young. And is the food here always so good? Yukio you must try this fried pork. It is heavenly."

Yukio didnt order food at first when they arrived instead ordering a hard drink on the rocks waiting for the glass to arrive before picking it up by the rim the light clink of the ice hitting the rim being the only sound coming from him for a moment as he seemed to enjoy the refreshing instant as he took a drink. "This is what I looked forward too, indeed there is nothing better than something cold after a long trip." Placing the glass back down he took a moment to listen to the words the others spoke tilting his head to the side.

"Yes there is a rather large gathering of Uchiha in leaf, we have the Uchiha mansion there though I do not live there as I am only a half Uchiha." Turning to face Miro the man's right eye spun to life a single blue sharingan forming in that eye. "See only one eye, I was originally a member of the Hyuuga clan though I cant control both eyes at once. That is something beyond me." He didnt mind revealing that much, safe to say it wasn't exactly a secret and it would be interesting to see what Miro though about the Uchiha of leaf.

While he spoke Chinatsu could not remain as still as normal the being slowly moving beneath the sleeve before a long tongue poked out from under the sennin's robes dipping into the top of the glass for a moment before slowly sliding back in seeming content with the taste. "As for myself and Nagisa we work in different places but are rather well acquainted though I spend most of my days watching over the village gates and wandering around the village streets so not overly exciting but hey who said every day was interesting in our lives."

With content Mirō chowed down on Yakitori. The mouth watering meats and veggies couldn’t seem to satiate the bottomless pit of the growing young kunoichi. Despite her feast Mirō acknowledged both their orders. A real meal for Nagisa who was Leafs apparent go-to medical ninja and Yukios’ choice of alcohol who just from his looks, would best be placed in their own ANBU squad. Subtly eyeing up the traveling Leaf visitors Nagisa brought up Mirōs’ age. “Hmph, just because I’m young doesn’t mean anything. I’m sure Leaf has their own genius ninja too.” Dodging the question of what branch she is in it wasn’t like Mirō to even be seen outside of her branch duties. “And honestly, the food progressively gets worse the further out of the district you go. Living in Cronopolis taught me that quickly.” Chuckling to herself Mirō recalled all the horrifying mystery meat some of the ‘chefs’ used.

“Only half Uchiha?” Raising a bewildered brow Mirō watched his pupil swirl into another unique sharingan. The blue hues reminded Mirō of her Captain. Could it be that his sharingan was also stolen or mutated. Wary of Yukio it didn’t surprise her of the amount of Uchiha in Leaf. It tickled her heart to know her bloodline was thriving in distant nations. “W-what the hell?!” Darting her attention to the strange abomination that taste tested Yukio’s drink Mirō nearly went into action. Golden kunai glimmered on her hip, halting herself before any further action. “Was that a rat in your pocket? Are you injured?” Turning her attention to Nagisa, “If he’s sick can’t you heal him?” A look of light shock coated her face, remaining vigilant Mirō had never seen anything so strange as that. “Are all you Leaf weird on the inside? If that’s the case you’d fit right in in Cloud. We have a few weirdos ourselves.” Rolling her eyes at the thought of the wild dog of an Academy Headmaster they have.

Nagisa sipped her own drink. So this one knows how to dodge questions. Sometimes a non answer is an answer but Nagisa let it slide as she eyed them both and continued taste testing. Cloud style food was a little heavier and hotter than Leaf food but she imagined this was because of the much cooler atmosphere. Having something hot to eat after a cool rainy day sounded good to her. Leaf was more balanced on the hot and cold options as the seasons changed. Hmmm. She wondered what it felt like here during the summer time but she was distracted as they were both bombarded with questions. Nagisa would stifle her laugh behind her sleeve momentarily.

"Oh he is quite fine I assure you, Mirō. Like you said, you have a few odd ones and so do we. You should have seen him when he first came to the hospital. It was a mess! My nursing staff are still cleaning that room I imagine although part of that was my fault. That much water will do a lot of damage. Still better than loosing a wall. I assure you that Yukio is as stable as I am."

Nagisa would look at Mirō and for a half second, Nagisa's eyes would glow a bright blue as her chakra spilled forth. In another half second, Nagisa was back to taking a drink and taste testing.

"But I digress. So you know a lot about this place and food? How are the summers in Cloud? Hopefully warmer but I think it rains here a lot, yes?"

'You didn't have to show off.' Shizue said inside her head.

'You are right I did not but why not have a little fun? We are on vacation. I like this one and I would like to show them that there is much in the shinobi world outside of this city.'

'So you do like teaching? I knew it.'

Nagisa ignored this and continued on with her meal as if she was just not made sheepish during a conversation no one else could see.

He had been caught out, or rather his companion had as the man sighed turning in his chair to face the cloud Kunoichi. "Do not be concerned he is a companion of mine and a close friend after a long period of adjustment though I did ask he stay hidden so this wouldnt happen." Tilting his head to his should the man called out to his friend. "Pop out it should be clear you've been spotted now, since when have you ever even attempted to be subtle." In response to this the large mass of goo seeped through the mans clothing around the shoulder with the arm still attached a wide grin crossing its face as it appeared.

"A pleasure to meet you, I assume you have questions about what I am and where I came from so feel free to ask away." Yukio rolled his eyes shaking his head a moment in dismay. "There wouldn't be a sea of questions if you could have just waited until we returned to our residence but you dont have the patience for that do you." The being let out a chuckle in response turning to their present company with a nod in true greeting.

"Well introductions are in order, I am known as Chinatsu travelling companion of Yukio it is a pleasure to make the aquantence of one as attentive as yourself." It seemed rather polite though Chinatsu was aware that if he acted any other way he would be in for a scolding from his companion later on and most likely Nagisa as well so for the time being it would mind its manners unlike its normal sarcastic demeanour.

Listening to Nagisa made Mirō’s face scrunch with discontent. The graphic detail of being a medical ninja didn’t sit well within her stomach. There’s a reason why Mirō didn’t pursue a career within the medical branch. Excessive gore and bodily fluids wasn’t what she wanted to experience daily. On the flip side Mirō had to hand it to the genin that wanted to be medical professionals. It would be a matter of time before she would have to work alongside one of them. “You med-nin have seen it all haven’t you?” Giggling with Nagisa, it was strange for Mirō to even see this side of her.

Looking back towards Yukio those golden hues caught a quick snapshot of Nagisas’ prowess. Vibrant blue orbs and a sudden spike in her chakra aura. Was it for show? Did she have something to prove or perhaps an accident. “Something surprise you, Nagisa?” Raising a trimmed brow into the air Mirō wanted to know more about her new Leaf friends. Awaiting an answer another chill ran down her spine when her eyes caught a glimpse of the being known as ‘Chinatsu’ giving its own introduction. Popping out of Yukios’ shoulder it nearly blew Mirō’s mind even the few other patrons within the shop gave the Leafs extra arm weird looks. ‘At least it’s… nice?’ Scratching her head Mirō finished her yakitori before speaking up. “It’s nice to meet you too… Chinatsu. Sorry, I’ve never seen anything like that before.” Curiosity rang throughout her voice, it pained her internally to resist reaching out and poking Chinatsu in the eye. “So, Yukio has a hidden friend? What exactly are you Chinatsu? A growth?” Blunt as ever Mirō was genuinely curious of Yukios sudden friend reveal.

Nagisa smiled at the conversation between Mirō and Chinatsu. The shinobi world was an odd one.

"Oh no. Just showing off a little. Calm waters rarely betray what is going on underneath. I will say again that this food is amazing."

Nagisa continued to watch the two talk and keep an eye out if there was any suspicious activity.

"As a medical ninja I can say I have no idea what Chinatsu is so I am curious as well. I will avoid the P word but you have to admit it is very much like it.Ah well. At least he is a good conversationalist which is more than I can say about Yukio at times."

Nagisa could be as blunt as he was on occasion so the Kunoichi's reaction to what she had to say was understandable, then again this was probably far from an everyday occurrence for her Yukio seeming to let Chinatsu do the talking from this point onwards taking another drink while his companion recoiled at the name he was given. "Growth?! Certainly out of the many things I have been called that is the most unique and here i thought Parasite was bad enough." Though it seemed insulted the grin never seemed to fade the being moving towards the cloud nin with intrigue of its own.

"Well, we can move past such things, you ask a question not really asked before what am I. A question that can have the simplest of answers yet the long version is quite the tale to give you the long and short of things I am the physical manifestation of the forgotten souls of this man's clan. Those of us who were wronged and betrayed merged into a single entity." Chinatsu had little issue explaining what he actually was the only reason it hadn't said anything before now was no one really asked it to it's face. "So the young man here took those of us from the Hyuuga clan and took on the burden of carrying what we are, while giving us a place to be at the same time."

The man simply raised his glass slightly at the comment acknowledging the statement. "A long story indeed and one that we shall tell at a later date, take things in slow steps for now but that's the overall of what Chinatsu is and while our journey has had its ups and downs I would change non of it. Even the bad times are simply experience from which we learn." It was then the man gave a sideways glance to his fellow Sennin raising an eyebrow though it was understandable. "Yes back in the day I felt very little though things have changed now, I am not like I once was. We all grow with time do we not and I like anyone else moved on from the past."

Intriguing to say the least. Day by day Mirō’s knowledge grew from what was truly on the outside of Kumogakure. The Hyuuga clan, finding forgotten souls and taking them in reminded her of her own special friend. A gift from her Captain which she harnessed its power and eventually won her friend over. The golden kunai on her hip twinkled quickly as if he was winking back at Mirō. Unfortunately for her, he had not given her his true name yet. ‘I’ll earn it eventually.’ Thinking to herself it was just another way of talking to her friend. ‘Must be what Chinatsu is to Yukio.’ Concluding her opinion gold hues glanced at Nagisa then at Yukio and Chinatsu. “So you rescued Chinatsu then Yukio?” Placing a finger on her chin Mirō turned her inquisitive look into a kind smile. “I don’t know who the Hyuuga are honestly.” Letting out a sigh of relief Mirō propped her head up with her hand while her arm rested on the table.

Sipping on her water gold hues noticed more and more patrons turning to face the other-worldy creature Chinatsu. Condescending whispers could be read on their lips. “Figured as much.” Irritation began to rest on her face before turning back to Nagisa and Yukio. “Once you’re finished would you guys like to visit the shops down the road? Or even visit the Plaza? I’ve personally never really been in this district before. I just happened to run into Yukio on my way to look for clothes.” Snickering to herself a wicked glare was thrown back at the ogling customer the restaurant had. It sickened Mirō that people would be prejudice to things they don’t even understand. She had gotten that look too many times in her life. Pulling out a small satchel Mirō counted out her money before placing it underneath her plate. “What do ya say? Nagisa? Yukio and Chinatsu?”

Nagisa finished here meal as everyone talked and it was absolutely delicious. As she was wondering what was next, their new guide decided to have them go shopping. They had some time to kill, or at least Nagisa did, and she would gladly peruse the wares.

"That sounds like a wonderful idea. I was looking forward to shopping a little since this is the most of a vacation as I have had in a couple of years. Please lead the way and maybe we can get lost together in this place. You never get the feel of the city if you haven't been lost in it."

Nagisa would stand and pay for her meal with a generous tip, blue eyes keeping eye on the soundings but a smile on her lips.

The man took a moments pause to think on the right way to describe it. "Not so much rescued more accommodated for the time being we have something of a deal between us though that is something I do not wish to elaborate on." He was clear about that fact a serious look in his eye for a moment before listening to the cloud nin's suggestion bringing a hand to his chin to wonder nodding slowly. "I entrust our current en devours to you." He made a quick motion with his hand to Miro. "After all even with somewhere you've never been before you would still know more about the culture and way of things than myself.

Finishing what he had in front of him the man rose from his chair giving a slight nod to his companion as Chinatsu vanished for a moment slowly filling up the empty sleeve at his side and forming the man's second arm. "Let us not waste time then, I am excited to see what this district you have in mind has to offer and I hope we may find what you are looking for as well Miro, safe to say i myself could use a change in appearance especially while i reside within this village for the time being."

Though his companion did not have a mouth a voice still echoed from beneath the man's sleeve a rather cheerful tone to say the least. "Wow a change finally perhaps you will become a bit more adventerous with your colour palette as well." Chuckling to itself as the man sighed somewhat.

“Awesome! I’m glad you guys will join me!” Holding onto her pouch Mirō clipped it back onto her side harness. Happy to leave the restaurant full of prejudice the young kunoichi stretched her arms above her head before letting them fall to her side. Spinning around and past the doors she waited for Nagisa and Yukio to catch up. Golden hues glanced in all directions, twirling her long black hair around her finger Mirō flicked an eyebrow into the sky. “I don’t have any real direction so hopefully I choose the right direction.” Letting out a nervous giggle ninja sandals agitate the gravel towards the bright lights above them. Figuring the brighter the lightning, the more shops the district had to offer.

Moving through the crowd the trio would walk past a multitude of side shops. “Dango! Sweet Dango here!” A man would call out to any hungry pedestrians walking past. “High quality scrolls!” Another woman would shout out, “I didn’t expect this district to be so lively. I should stay in the village more often.” Noting that her recent missions had her in the village outskirts for way too long Mirō may have forgotten what it’s like to be ‘civilized’. Poking her nose into the air Mirō peered over everyones head to notice a clothing store with vibrant colorful light. “Let's check out that shop.” Raising a pointed finger in the air Mirō pointed to the shop named ‘Eternally 22’, “I’ve heard of it but never been in one.” Turning to face Nagisa and Yukio, Mirō inspected all of their attire once again. Nodding to herself it would prove to be a challenge to find clothing to suit all of their distinct tastes. Sifting through the crowd Mirō pushed open the doors into the open area of the store. Racks and racks of clothes lined the shelves and stands of folded clothing were displayed on tables throughout the open area. With a cash register at the entrance an enthusiastic employee called out. “Welcome to Eternally 22! We’ve got the best deals anywhere!” A fake smile appeared on Mirō’s lips towards the cashier before she turned to face away. Standing together Mirō stood closer to Nagisa, “Yukio! Want to venture over to the women's section with Nagisa and I or did you want to head to the back of the store." Glancing over towards the back of the store it comically was darker than the rest of the store. Featuring darker attire for men and women alike for the typical ‘assassin’ persona many of the youth such as herself would venture towards.
“I want to see what kind of clothing you’re into Nagisa! And I want to know if Yukio will pick another color besides black.”

Nagisa watched carefully. She was enjoying the sights and sounds and she did indulge in some dango and noticed how it was seasoned differently than Leaf. Interesting. They were pulled into a clothing store. Nagisa would laugh a little at Yukio as they were accused of wearing nothing but black.

"I like blues but greens and reds are good. Let me see what I can find."

Nagisa would shop around and pick out a few different pieces of clothing. However she soon found a long sea green robe that she absolutely loved and immediately tried it on after going to a changing room with her other picks. She would change extra quick just so no one would see the seal on her back and would show off for their guide.

Instead of her blue monk attire, she would be wearing a long sleeved deep blue shirt that was loose around the waist, for pants, it was a pitch black material that seamlessly faded into the deep blue. The sea green robe was tied in the front and was was almost the quality of a kimono but was a little shorter. The sleeves did cover her hands but were easily rolled up.

"I also love the clothes here! A lot of longer sleeved items."

The man couldn't help but chuckle the atmosphere being much more relaxed than what he was used to as the Sennin walked out of the place with the Cloud Kunoichi. "Well we end up where we end up, not that I can complain it is basically what I have been doing up to this point." Tilting his head from left to right the Uchiha was interested to see the variety of stalls they had lining the streets Chinatsu speaking up from beneath the robes. "I must say even in my day I never graced your village so its impressive to see what you have to offer out here."

Yukio was somewhat surprised to hear his companion speak highly of anything, rather out of the ordinary since they had met, maybe there was a chance it was warning up to people now. "Agreed old friend, certainly a change from back home." Trusting Miro's judgement the man stepped into the store taking a moment to look over the various forms of attire they had available to himself turning back to Miro a slight grin spreading across his face at her comment. "Well guess its time for me to surprise you, feel free to browse you two I will be back momentarily to prove I have a bit more taste than you would both expect."

With that the man walked away to look around the store a slight snicker escaping Chinatsu. "Petty." Yukio had nothing to say on the matter his focus now into what he would be purchasing while he was here looking for something that still suited his tastes but would be somewhat surprising to his present company though given his pallet choice he felt white and red wouldn't quite cut it either.
