The carriage finally pulls up once more to the gates, the staircase forming by the door for everyone to exit the vehicle. Maki is first, his outfit the same as when he left the gates, just washed up slightly. He did indeed look every inch the upper-crust noble he detested. ”Cloud Delegation returning. We’ve got passports. And drinks. First person to get here and let us in gets a free gate report. C’mon people.”

He also had his sense of humor returning.

 

[Haku Yuki]

Yuki stepped out of the carriage seeing the familiar sight of the Pheonix Gates, she was glad to be home, she turned to Maki and laughed slightly, she needed a drink and a proper bed. This whole journey was a waste of time but they have made it back safely.

 

[Shirai Sadao]

Walking down the steps the man stretched out his back sighing after being seated for so long leaning against the side of the carriage waiting for the normal procedures to be done, something of a drag in the man's eyes considering this wasn't exactly an unknown group but at the end of the day they would just be doing their jobs.

 

[Uchiha Asuka]

Asuka smiled widely as she started running towards the gates, Rayne keeping up behind her. She couldnt stop smiling, thabkfuly she had activated her Sharingan before hand and could tell they werent a transformation.

After a few moments she got to the gates and immediately launched herself towards Yukio. She didnt care if she hugged the slimy goo that was Chinatsu. She only cared that her love was allright. "Welcome back." Rayne stated with a bolite bow to all three of them.

Asuka on the other hand simply turned and hugged her sensei. Glad that she was back. "It's so good to see you two!" She giggled, throwing a simple glare at Maki. Pouting and turning away. Rayne on the other hand did move towards the Advisor.

"Apologies Maki." She said with a sigh "Asuka can be... quite childish. Welcome back my friend."

As someone arrived to let them in, they launched themselves onto Yukio. Maki did, however, have enough time to recognize Asuka. He just heads into the gates, nodding at the apology from the one person as Asuka glares at him ”I seem to be having that effect on people of late. Thank you. I need to report to Takeshi though. Could someone radio ahead that we’re back?”

That said, he heads back into his home village.

[Haku Yuki]

Yuki nodded to Asuka as she gave her entrance to the her home and that was where she would be heading straight away. She looked at the note that hadn't left her hand but didn't open it, what was written on the page was not meant for her eyes but for Takeshi's.

"Well you have both been lovely travelling companions. I hope there you enjoy some much needed rest." She smiled at the two men before taking her leave returning home.

[Yong]

He slowed to be in sync with relative regular time in a blue shimmer. A steel blade slid from the sleeve of his beige robes as he stood motionless behind the black robed, animal masked guard standing vigilant at the top of the village boundary walls.

His hand slid around the masked face, tilting the head back sharply as the body binding seal transferred from his open palm into the body, seizing the faceless Anbu's throat before any sound could escape.

His blade swiftly pierced into the guards back, effortlessly sliding through armour, bone, lung and heart with no resistance. The body shivered as Yong lowered the now expired sentry silently to the stones, his eyes already moving to the group gathered at the gates as blood spread around his sandalled feet.

His eyes quickly scanned through the dispersing group of travellers. The heads up display within his Anbu mask quickly flashed through magnification and spectrum as he focused on the individuals in the group below him.

To his momentary frustration the Hokage was not amongst the arrivals.

His light spectrum returned to blue as he slid out of sync with relative time. His search would have to continue elsewhere if he wanted to murder the Hokage any time soon...

If the group below had been looking in just the right direction at just the right time they would have seen the beige figure on top of the walls disappear in a split second, as if he had never been there at all.

The growing pool of blood emanating from the inhumed guard began to creep over the edge of the wall, slowly trickling to the ground below.
