Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

While it was a relic of the past, Kazan saw great value in both understanding and preserving the past traditions. Among them, the ancient language of the countries ancestors particularly caught his interest. Truth be told, while he had heard about the language from his parents, neither one of them were capable of speaking about it. But now, many years after establishing himself as a member of the cloud villages elite shinobi force, Kazan had enough time dabble in the countries rich history. Upon arriving to the village's library, and asking the Liberian directly about where to locate information regarding ancient languages, and being rudely pointed towards a sign, he soon found himself wondering down the aisles of the library. The librarians rude reaction was kind of his fault, considering he ignored the posted signs at the front desk, so he immediately brushed this interaction to the side. Finding the section labeled P, he quickly searched through the shelves until he came across some books written in an old forgotten language.

Immediately he knew that this one would probably be important, so he tucked it under his arm and continued to search for others. It was during this time that he learned of two different variants of the countries ancient languages; one that seemed to be a mesh of many others cultures, and another that seemed to be directly related to the village. Unfortunately, while he learned of these two, there weren't any books open to the public directly linked to the more direct variant. Settling for what was offered, especially after locating several books and scrolls, he decided now was as good of time as any to begin studying. Finding a secluded corner in this massive library, Kazan's literature journey would begin.

As smart as he was, nothing made any sense what so ever. He couldn't even begin to pronounce any of the words, though luckily he had found a scroll with some basic instructions; basically, how to write the alphabet in the Vulgar variant of Ancient Kumogakurian. Pulling out an empty scroll, and a pen, he began to practice writing the alphabet in both is native tongue, and this forgotten language. From there, he continued on and eventually found within the same scroll, an odd way to sound out the letters. As he wrote them down, he began to whisper the sounds of each letter under his breath. He would continue to do this for some odd weeks, before he began to try and combine letters and their sounds to form basic words such as "eyes, nose, ears, hands". From there, it would take him even more weeks to begin putting together some basic sentences like "hello, my name is Kazan".

By this time, he had already devoted roughly six weeks towards just learning how to convert the basic alphabet into the Ancient Vulgar form of Kumogakurian. But now was the time for him to begin attempting to read passages from other scrolls and books he had previously found. One book in particular, The Art Of Infiltration, which roughly translated to 'The Art Of Infiltration', seemed to be about old tactics used by past shinobi to infiltrate whatever they needed to infiltrate. Truth be told, this book was well beyond what Kazan was ready for, but he felt it was worth the challenge. Over the course of the next couple of months, Kazan would spend his Saturday nights here at the library attempting to ready this book one page at a time. In between throughout the weeks, he'd continue to practice writing the alphabet, sounding them out, and putting together more complicated words. After roughly four months in total, he had finally managed to read one full book to completion. While his understanding of the language wasn't perfect, it was at least a good start.

From there, he continued doing what he had done previously. Throughout the week, he'd practice the alphabet, write and compose more advanced words in the vulgar variant, and spend his week ends attempting to read more scrolls and books detailing both the villages and countries rich history.

After roughly four months in total, he had finally managed to read one full book to completion. While his understanding of the language wasn't perfect, it was at least a good start.

By now not only had to learned how to read and write the language, but he could speak basic phrases, introduce himself, and ask for things one would normally need at a library. This was all thanks to his hard work and dedication towards learning this old language. Through his conquest of knowledge, and his attempt at perfecting the tonge, he had even managed to make friends with the library's staff. Most days greeting greeting them while using the vulgar tongue. Good Evening. It's nice to see you again. He'd tell some of the ladies, with a smile as he listened to their replies. To Kazan, they seemed as if they had been practicing the language all their lives, as to where he had only just begun his linguistically studies.

Months down the road, Kazan's dedication and hard work had seemingly paid off. Now, not only could he read and write the language, but he could speak it well enough to be even capable of singing. Whilst within the depths of the library, hidden back in a corner behind the shelves of countless bushes, he'd hum and sing ever so softly. "My mother told me, someday I would buy, galleys with good oars, sails to distant shores! " in an eerily tone of voice.

By this time Kazan had become quite adept at the Vulgar Variant of Ancient Kumogakurean. However, his studies and practice were far from over. It was one thing to understand, but it was another to master.
