Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

"Ninpou: Kuchiyose no Jutsu!"

With each attempt, the seals were formed in a more rapid succession than the last time, and despite not being nearly as close to a blur as he might have wanted to at this point, Yoshihisa was pleased with the results. For the moment he slammed his hand on the contact laid out on the table in front of him, a small pouch was called forth in a dramatic burst of smoke. It had been moved outside the room, been buried underneath a pile of rocks and even cast into the ocean during his various experiments, but each and every time the results had bore fruit at one point or another. Even the additional mouths, while viciously snapping their jaws at the pouch were unable to burst the bubble of his euphoric state he found himself in. If anything both found themselves not completely ignored for once, their combined efforts being met with a snack in the form of the chunk of clay previously kept inside the pouch.

While his odd couple of companions were occupied with the unspoken challenge to see who could chew faster than the other, Yoshihisa, hesitantly at first decided to pick up the pouch. It would by no means be one of his great achievements if he looked back at his life later, considering all that it was was a mere inanimate object. Yet it had been an effort to learn something capable of very well saving his hide one day, by summoning one of those fearsome creatures he had been reading about. Contracts signed with the blood of the Shinobi willing to partner with one of the species that had ascended to ranks beyond those even humans were ever even worthy of claiming. It hadn't even occurred to him yet that it by far sounded more dramatic than objectively, or at least not until he had been proven otherwise. He was born to simple people incapable of performing even the most basic of jutsu even if their life depended on it, so from time to time he couldn't help but be stuck with awe at what was possible. This revelation had all but crushed his ability to think of anything as impossible.

Under certain given circumstances one might find themselves unable to apply to a pact with these creatures, considering their moral views tend to differ greatly from one to another. While they are known to set differences aside to share the same ecosystem, several known species have at some point been at the brink of war at some point in history. Even the fragile bonds with their summoner's species are often mended ones.

Yoshihisa's finger glided across the marked passage. Previous readers must have been drawn to it like he was, the contents even after reading it more times than he possibly even realized still managed to chill his insides, undoing the first pleasant moment like it was nothing. Maybe it was nothing, considering there was a next step to take in all this and that he wouldn't just be summoning tools forever. But pondering about the consequences without ever taking a leap forward wasn't the way to go over this either. Many times had he proven himself wrong, to be done with what he had feared for so long in the blink of an eye. All he could hope for right now that no matter what the scenario would play out to be, that he was prepared for it.

Twilight was setting in on his way back to the library, yet the soothing breeze that had made the scorching heat a bit more bearable was still there. And despite his mind being devoid of thoughts the trip didn't in any way seem to take longer than usual, making it seem like there might just be a chance for a perfect ending to a perfect day. It was unusual for the boy to know that whatever he might be facing upon the continuation of his fairly draining studies and explorations, that he was somewhat unbothered by it. That, or the ever-present notion of his body that his chakra reserves were dangerously depleted, to the point where even the mouths were hanging open without a sign of life from either one.

"Maybe tomorrow.. I should just stick to reading.. Or maybe try and face the fact I might just be turning into a hermit more quickly than I had expected..

For some reason, it wasn't even worth a chuckle as he pushed open the doors to the library.
