Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

This was certainly something that he was going to get into! Sushi had been training extensively since finding out about the Konoha Student Tournament! He had stayed at the library late even learning some Fire Ninjutsu and working on his agility and stamina. He was truly going all out for this. He wanted to be at the top of his game for this, and he wanted to get notation from the higher ups. He was thinking that things might get strange he hadnt met many other students, but the ones he met he was sure could have taken him out about a month ago. However, he was a Minamoto and his pride in himself and his father would not be denied! So with everything in him he would set out to take a trip to the hot springs, he was able to use the little money he got from odd jobs around the village to handle obtain a small space atop the outside waters for training and to set up a few targets.

"Ha! Raiton! Zanndahhh Feeeasst!", he'd call out as people passed him on the bridge next to where he trained. Charging his hands with lightning energy before launching Kunai with precision into his targets. They landed outside of his mark, but they were within his target. He was getting better. It was beginning to show in his practice and he continued training both his chakra control while standing atop the waters and throwing his Kunai into the targets. He was going to work this out, and he didnt care who watched, he wanted the world to watch him on his road to being one of the most revered shinobi in the Hidden Leaf Village. Sweat dropped from his brow as he continued striking the targets with all of his might then, periodically he would drop into the water to wash himself off and cool off a bit before heading back into his work. Though would he meet any of his friends today? Or was today going to be the day he would meet some new friends! Who knew! He just wanted something to happen today!

Body Mind Switch, a Reconnaissance Technique: A Unique ability only able to be performed by those with the mental sharpness found in the Yamanaka Clan, this ability allows the Yamanaka to actually expel their own consciousness within their Body, in an attempt to enter the mentality of another, even animals. With this power spying has become quite the hobby for Amaririsu. Though sometimes is just nice to walk around in someone else's shoes for once. Amaririsu had many pets both common and exotic.

From under the brush that surrounds the waters a pair of eyes watches as a young student trains for an upcoming tournament. It was nice to see the young practicing so hard on their shinobi arts. Though she kind of wish it did not take an event to get kids to put their nose to the grind stone. The leaves rustle as the red panda walks around to get a better look at the student. The boy seems to have quite the affinity for the lightning element. She has seen many that has specialized in ninjutsu to spot talent. She preferred the illusionary arts herself but training them would require something better than dummies.

Amaririsu goes to one of the kunai that has missed its intended target. Grabbing it with her mouth she tucks it out of the base of a tree. Like a dog she returns it to its owner. Jumping from stone to stone in the water she went over to him. Standing on her hind legs she awaits for him to take the weapon.

The sound of feet hitting the dusty floor surrounded Shinzo as he sprinted through White Oak Street, small pockets of dirt were thrown up behind him as he sprinted through. Thankfully there wasn’t too much going on this day, the street wasn’t particularly busy and so the eight year old boy was able to weave through pedestrians with relative ease. The wind he was running into pushed his fringe back, keeping his eyes unobstructed. He vaulted over a familiar cabbage cart, turning his head in mid air to catch the frown of the old man selling them. “Sorry!" He called out before throwing himself around the next corner. His arms moved at his sides, helping him to push his limits further. ‘I need more speed.’ He spoke to himself before leaping over small group of dogs that had gathered in his way.

Once more he skidded round the next corner, spotting the bride just ahead. He looked towards a sand timer that had been placed on one of the hand rails. His face lit up upon noticing the amount of golden sand which still remained in the top half of the timer. ‘Come on, come on, come on!’ The thoughts of beating his personal best time to complete his circuit began to overwhelm his mind. Tunnel vision kicked in, the scenery around him was gone. All he could see was the ground at his feet and the bridge that signalled his finish line.

He pushed himself onwards, accelerating as much as he could after such a long sprint. An audible grunt left his mouth as his limits were surpassed, the strange energy that brewed inside him pushed Shinzo onwards. In a flash he was on the bridge, sand timer in hand, he slammed his feet into the floor and slid to a halt. A smile grew upon his face as he got to take a closer look at the contents of his timer. ‘Personal best!’ He thought to himself before sending his fist into the air in celebration. The tunnel vision dispelled and suddenly he became incredibly more aware of his surroundings, the sound of kunai knives hitting targets drew his attention, he hadn’t seen anyone training here before but then again Shinzo had decided to train his speed earlier today. He noticed the boy training close by, he waited for a gap in his training before calling out.

“Yo! What are you doing down there?” His voice was one hinting shortness of breath but as time passed it seemed as though Shinzo gradually regained composure. “Are you training for the tournament too?” He vaulted over the nearest hand rail before landing with some finesse, his brown hair still held back thanks to the previous force of the wind and his green eyes resting on the other boy. A feather dropped from the top of his head, though he was quickly able to catch it in his right hand before returning his attention to Sushi, still with a smile upon his face.

Akumi was walking down the streets of Konoha. It was a lovely day out, and she just happened to have some free time. While she was walking she often stopped to look into flower shops, and at any scenery item, they had. Part of her feared she wouldn't get to see this again, but she might just be too anxious at the time. It had been a while since she had gotten out of the slammer, so hopefully, nothing would happen. All she had to do was not get arrested again, at least not so soon after being released.

Akumi was a short woman, standing about 5'3", average build. Her skin was fair, very close to being pale. It made her raven hair stand out even more, and her green renningen. Without makeup, most would assume she was a child, but with her clothing choice, and dark makeup, it made her look her age. She wanted to show her full beauty after all. She had an old Iwagakure headband on one of her pouches, but it wasn't a valid one anymore. She was still going through the process of getting her Konoha headband back. She didn't wear her Iwagakure headband as proudly as she used too, but it was the only thing she had left to remind her of her birthplace, and starting point.

Akumi noticed a flash, someone speeding by, with her new renningen, she was able to see the boy pass by, not as good as a Uchiha eyes could see though, but she was able to see it. She decided to follow, though all she did was look around the corner, luckily he stopped at a bridge or a bit past it. He called out to another boy that was training with Kunai and seemed to already know lightning techniques. She walked over and smiled them. "Hey you kids are pretty talented." She stated. Before she left she turned down the chance to run a squad, but now that she back, and seeing the new youth, she might reconsider it.

In such a short amount of time, your environment can change... given that he was out in the open he should've been. Though firstly a dog, or what he thought to be some Dog and cat hybrid would take the Kunai from the floor before trotting back to his position. This was his chance to understand what would surmise from this situation. Suyashi was a simple boy. He just wanted to train, to be recognized. He was from Mist but his home was Konoha. This would be the place he gave his life to. To protect and serve like he'd aimed to do. So with that fiber within himself he would take the Kunai from the mouth of the animal before petting the creature on its noggin. "Heh. Thanks little buddy. You remind of of my friend Shida... Have you heard of Shida?", tilting his head as he looked down to the animal he would hear a voice chime in above him. The boy above him seemed out of breath...

'Another Student?' thought Suyashi. Maybe so, because his follow question would lead him to realize this might be one of his opponents... so a friendly face today could be trying to take his spot for the future tomorrow. Though, today he was a friend, lifting the animal in his arms he would nod to Shinzo, "Aye aye! I'm training for it. Trying to just refine myself, the Strongest Student cant stop, gotta keep trudging along. Hard work is the only way to make it to the top! Or so my mother says...", nodding he'd pet the animal as he would look to Shinzo. Though Suyashi thought about it for a moment before his face lit up, "Oh! Sorry My manners! My name is Minamoto Suyashi. I joined the academy just a few months back... I'm from Kirigakure but I'm officially devoted to the Hidden Leaf!", nodding and smiling brightly someone else would appear...

A beautiful girl! Suyashi looked up to her and smiled, "Aye! You're looking at the most talented guy in the Academy! You -will- remember the day you met Suyashi, King of Lightning Taijutsu!" nodding he would allow his smirk to turn into a brighter smile than before, and that seemed to be it! He was poised to be ready for anything that came next. He had this red panda bear... dog thing in his under arm. standing infront of Shinzo, a rival? A friend? and now he was presented by this beautiful gal who was checking out his awesome skills. Though, he wouldnt get into the thoughts that his Lightning and Taijutsu werent his only abilities. He was a technician, for his age he was quite more skilled than he led on with his goofy demeanor.

Amaririsu was glad to see the student thank her for retrieving the kunai and gives a happy squeal as Sushi decides to pet her on the head. Amaririsu likes this part of possessing animals. When he asks her about some person named Shida, she just tilts her head a little to the side as if puzzled about his question. In truth Amaririsu had no idea who this Shida fellow was. Another student perhaps, maybe a mentor. She will likely never know. Another student appears which distracts the first enough that he does not even realize the thing he picked up was a red panda plushy. Even while possessing another entity a Yamanaka can still use their own jutsu normally. Amaririsu used a body switch to prevent capture from the so called lightning king. Making an almost giggling like sound she runs off. Jumping from stone to stone in the water to keep herself from getting wet and dives back into the underbrush.

Miyako simply watches from a distance, perched in a quaint tree. The tree itself has heavy foliage so she would not easily be spotted. This position is is very favorable to her because she can very easily observe this lightning user and all of the others approaching. Miyako is concerned about the fact that she has not yet awakened her sharingan. These boys would breeze by her in the upcoming tournament if she does not succeed in doing so.

She sighs almost audibly and simply continues to observe, planting both of her palms on the underside of her jaw and wrapping her legs around a thick branch beneath her body. She narrows her eyes at the short woman with the odd eyes that approaches the two boys, who could she be? In taking note of the woman's eyes, Miyako reassures herself that she knows the hand sign to release a genjutsu, having learned it in a previous class. Her hands go back to supporting her head after this and she continues to observe the small group.

"The most talented guy in the academy? That's a pretty big claim to make without knowing the skill level of your fellow students don't you think?" A another voice spoke out in their direction from behind making his presence known to the newly formed group. The voice belonged to a young boy and a fellow student at the academy who was casually making his way over to the group.

He walked over with his hands in his pockets stopping a few feet in front of Suyashi eyeing him. He was guessing that this guy was also taking part in the tournament like he was, but what student wasn't? The student tournament became the main topic of discussion over night and it served as a chance for students like him to prove themselves.

Rakutsu spent the whole day preparing himself with the tournament as the only thing of his mind. He was going to take a break from his training until noticing his fellow student training and allowed his curiosity to take control. It was likely that they would face each other in the tournament so why scope out the competition? He had mixed thoughts about the lighting user standing before him. People who boast about their own strength like he was often find themselves getting taking out with ease. However, his attacks on the training dummies say that he had a good amount of skill and strength in him, but it was most likely not the strongest in the academy.

"Sorry. I don't think we've met each other. I'm Rakutsu Hayasa. I'm a student who's also going to be in the tournament."

Shinzo stood quietly, observing the arrivals of several more people and a red panda which he hadn’t previously noticed. He was surprised but decided that there was time that he could spend socialising before his next training session. At first his attention was drawn to the woman brandishing a very particular dojutsu, in all honesty the student wasn’t that sure what exactly it was, he had seen sharingan and byakugan but this was different, in his mind it was more enchanting but he hoped this wasn’t a genjutsu. This caused him to be slow in his response to her. “Oh um, thank you.” The boy said while resting his hands behind his head. “Some of it is talent but most of it is just down to training.” He chuckled lightly, and slightly awkwardly as he replied to the compliment.

Though it wasn’t long before the blonde haired boy drew his attention once again. Such a display of confidence caused the right corner of Shinzo’s mouth to rise, his lips parting slightly to form a bit of a cheeky smirk. “I’ve heard similar things from a few other people, so I guess the tournament will give us more of an idea on who is telling the truth. Though if you train as much as I do, you might have a chance.” The eight year old took a few steps closer to his peer but turned so that he could address both Suyashi and Akumi. “I’m Deguchi, Shinzo, born and raised here, it’s good to meet you both.” In truth he was pleased to meet someone who seemed to have a similar training drive to himself, it was comforting in a sense but also gave him even more motivation to train harder. Soon though his head turned to watch as a newcomer approached.

He recognised the boy from a previous class, though at the time he hadn’t caught his name. Another competitor in the tournament, now was a perfect time to start sizing up his competition, the information that he may gain from this encounter could very well be of use to him in his preparation for the upcoming event. “Ah Rakutsu Hayasa, I hadn’t caught your name in the lesson we shared by Hokage rock.” He smiled to the familiar face, nodding once in acknowledgement of the questions that he had previously made. “It will be interesting to learn more about the abilities of our classmates don’t you think? But that’ll probably only happen in the competition.” As he finished speaking, something caught his eye. A girl. She was perched in the tree watching, he wasn’t quite sure what she was up to but being the inclusive young boy, he was. Shinzo motioned with his left hand open for her to join the group. After all, he wouldn’t want anyone to be left out, and he didn’t really know many people anyway so now seemed like an opportune time to make a few friends in his eight year old mind. A warm smile sat upon his face as the group gradually grew in size, this was definitely an interesting day.

The lightning child had a lot of confidence, she liked that, but it could get to his head some day. He was pretty bold to call himself a lightning king. almost as if he was challenging Raiden's glory. Taijutsu was very important, mixing it with lightning could result in the fast defeat of his foes. Some ninja though, absorbed lightning like it was nothing, so would he ever face such opponent? Who knew. "It's nice to meet you, I am Yumoto, Akumi."

"Was that?" Akumi whispered to herself, as she noticed he was holding a plush though, and she saw a red panda run off into the bushes. She didn't take note of it before, but it certainly caught her eye. Maybe it was a contract beast? She heard contract creatures could use jutsu as well. Though she's never seen a red panda, would that be of the Fox contract or the Bear? Either way, it ran off. She wondered if any of the other kids would notice.

Another boy came out of the woods, verbally disapproving Suyashi's boldness. She couldn't help but smirk, the kid only recognized Suyashi in this conversation, so the thunderbolt was succeeding in his mission to gain recognition. It seemed every student wanted into the tournament, from her knowledge only a few could get in? She was not sure, but she knew some of these faces would have disappointment. "You seem confident in yourself too, Hayasa." Akumi pointed out, she was taller than the children here, which made her feel more confident, but she knew most of them, if not all of them would grow taller than herself in the future.

Akumi felt eyes on her, but quite couldn't put her finger on it, she looked around, and couldn't seem to see anyone outside the group staring. Maybe it was that panda again? AKumi's attention went to Shinzo, He pointed out that Suyashi wasn't the only student trotting around a big ego. Akumi nodded to him as he introduced himself though.Shinzo knew Mayasa from a class they took together. "You guys seem quite confident in your skills. The tournament should be interesting to watch." Akumi said to the boys, she was interested in entering the tournament of her level, but she'd have to get her Konoha tittle back before that.

Akumi still felt like they were being watched so she looked again, and then spotted a little girl, standing near a tree. She smiled, then looked back at the kids, her eyes went to Shinzo as he looked over at the girl as well. He motioned her to join, in which she had no objections to another girl joining the party.

As quickly as the animal came it left however, he thought he had picked it up... only to see the plush that was left in its stead as he would watch the animal run back into the brush. Almost as if giggling. Though many animals had weird noises they made but it didnt matter he had bigger fish to fry, and they would be fried with a smile. As it would seem that all the students entering the tournament would come out of the wood works, they were all wanting to stake their claim at the title of Top Student. Because that would lead to many bragging rights over the coming months. it would also leave many with a target on their backs, and a bulls-eye in the center of their forehead because people would be gunning for them. it was a good spot to be in for recognition. Which Sushi wanted, he wanted to be respected amongst his peers... and he would do such. He would gain their respect, but in order to he had to win. Right? Winning was the only thing anyone respected? He ignored his mother for chances to train at this point... choosing to sleep outside after training to harden his body.

"Aye aye... Maybe It was a bit much of an assumption. However, I'm confident enough in myself to put that target on my back. Heh, I'd like anyone to prove me wrong." He looked to Hayasu before hearing the girl above talk about their confidence once again and Shinzo speaking out to join in. Nodding to them both he would roll his shoulders, "Aye, I work hard everyday... Have been since I got here. I want to show that I'm not just here for fun and games that I take my chance at this academy and being a member of this village seriously.", nodding he would look to them both before spotting the girl in the far off distance... her obsidian hair seemed interesting. Was she a student as well? Maybe she was a spy! Who knew but Sushi would watch her.

"Though Maybe we could have alittle... Challenge? A pre Tournament warm up!? Any ideas?", looking to the others he would wonder if they had anything up their sleeves... Sushi would know when to be quiet though, as he would just look up to the girl at the top once more then back to Akumi. "Whats your name...? If you dont mind my asking...", he'd stare for a moment only looking at her eyes and ... elsewhere... for a brief moment. Before waiting for the rebuttal.

A whole lot of them were just popping up. Was every student in the academy going to incidentally appear during this young boys training. Fortunately it seems like she may have gone unnoticed by the majority of the people present and perhaps forgotten about from the rest. Amaririsu did not particularly feel like being tracked down right now. For now she was simply an observer; she was there to watch and take note. This was actually quite lucky for her. She wanted to see what students were like these days because she was thinking of teaching a class sometime. Perhaps this little get together will give her an idea of a topic to cover. Shushi’s recommendation of a pre-tournament warm-up sounded quite good for her research, so long as it wasn’t ‘the first one to find the red panda wins.’

Now with three pairs of eyes on her, Miyako realizes that her camouflaging is not very good.

As Shinzo would spot her and gesture for her to come towards the group, she would sigh heavily, not wanting to intermingle with these boys, or that odd-eyed woman. Miyako has never had any sort of good experiences from intermingling and she quite honestly feels better on her own, perched in her sturdy little tree. She pushes her fingers through her hair when Shinzo turns back around, her eyebrows furrowed. Did he not know how much work she put in to get up here? Earlier in the day, before Suyashi began training, both energetically and obnoxiously in her opinion, she was also training. She was trying hard to learn chakra control, channeling all of her focus into doing so. All of this commotion, however disrupted her and coaxed her to observe instead. Since the group gathered, she's kept her eyes on Shinzo and Akumi, both of them interesting in their own ways. She hardly saw Shinzo on his speedy approach, he'll most likely be a challenge in the tournament.. But then again so will Suyashi and his lighting bolt kunai, packed with speed and power.

Though her eyes still rest uneasily on Akumi, narrowed slightly. She can't help but to feel a sort of anger when she looks at this woman and she doesn't have the slightest idea why. Perhaps they share a dojutsu rivalry of sorts, but Miyako knows that this woman is most likely much more advanced than she is, plus she has at least a few years on Miyako. Her eyes narrow further as the woman smiles at her, and she does not return one. She remains in the tree, without words, without gestures.

(gonna post now so I can ask Miyako to do a private thread with me. I have a mission to do!)

Akumi looked at Suyashi and frowned a little. She then sighed, she did not like repeating herself. "I did say it a few moments ago, I am Yumoto, Akumi. Chuunin." At least she'll have that title back after she gets done with her mission. She glanced back at the girl in the tree, she was eyeing Akumi quite hard, she didn't expect a smile back, but it seemed like the girl didn't like Akumi, by the look that she was giving her. Akumi didn't care about that, but what she really cared about was she was someone she needed to talk to.

Akumi had gained information about residential Uchiha from her Brother, Sennin, and Hokage's second hand. She needed to talk to this Uchiha, Miyako, Alone. "When I am done with my mission, I'll be looking for my own students, to teach. If any of you want a Sensei or need one, come find me. I am Main Branch, so I won't be focusing on medicine, or being a super secret spy." Akumi stated to the boys, she then handed them her mailing address and residential address on a card. They probably could easily find the Yumoto clan house, without an address, but she wanted to make sure they knew where to send mail, or find her. That's if they choose to be a student of hers, of course, she wanted them to choose her, but that didn't mean she'd choose them as well.

"Now excuse me, I'll be over here, talking to the Little girl over there." Akumi stated. she then jumped back, one big leap back, turned, and jumped into the tree, swiftly landing on the branch the girl was in.

"You know, your face my stick if you keep making that face." Akumi stated, an old wise tale her own mother used to say to her. "If you didn't hear, I am Akumi, and I need to talk to you, Uchiha, Miyako." Akumi said, she then handed the girl a piece a paper with an address on it. It was a ramen shop, a local one. "I'll buy you lunch, I just need you to meet me there to talk." Akumi stated, she then hopped out of the tree, and waved to the group.

"You kids have fun, contact me if you need anything." Akumi stated, then she dashed away.

Miyako's eye closed slightly at what Akumi greeted her with, did she really seem that young? Someone so easily entertained by wives' tales? She sighs and stares directly into Akumi's eyes, her's reflecting a sort of disinterest. Her mouth is quirked at the corner too, though she carefully takes the piece of paper and looks down at it, holding it so that it bridges the small gap between her palms. Miyako wonders how this strange woman with even stranger eyes came across information as sacred as her name, but she says nothing of this as she responds to Akumi, "Sure." She responds with a soft shrug of her shoulders, figuring that she doesn't have much to lose in meeting with this woman.

Miyako stands on the branch shortly after Akumi departs and hops down into the grass below. If anyone were to be looking in her direction, she'd give them a very quick wave before tucking her hands away and taking her time in walking to the address that was provided to her. She looks down at the paper again and sighs, thinking to herself that this lady better be ready to lay her money out, because she's been starving all day.
