Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

As the storm swept the village, freezing civilians and enemies alike – which was very much against the mission parameters – an eerie silence descended upon the village, as buildings and people slowly began freezing in place. Many of the guards, due to their metallic armor, quickly began developing frostbite in the areas exposed to the metal. Great for the strike team, terrible for the Tenouzan church. As was pretty typical of someone with Maru’s proclivities, he went absolutely bonkers overboard, and at the same time succeeded at distracting the church soldiers as was his task. Now he’d just have to keep it up until the primary objective was complete.

Saki on the other hand behaved a whole lot more professionally and as he snuck around the village, evading civilians and zealots. It was quite the insane scene he was beholding, yet it was very real, and he’d have to figure out how to tackle the new situation. Ahead of him was the warehouse containing the primary target: Gear, armor, and weaponry made from dimiterium. It was unguarded with all the chaos going on, and he had free access to slip in and obtain everything required for the mission’s success. All it’d take is a way to carry it all out of there.

Meanwhile, Miro was ordered to go get the book by Saki, and thanks to the chaos from the storm, even that area wasn’t as heavily guarded as it should’ve been. Miro skillfully disabled the guards using compressed balls of lullaby powder so they’d fall asleep and leave the target unguarded. After that it was a cinch to obtain the book, well, almost. Miro had to actually execute the priest holding onto the book to get it out of his grip. Now, however, she’d just have to meet up with the rest of the strike team, without being noticed and with a big book strapped to her back. Was that the safest way to store it?

Lastly, there was Kazuya, searching for targets, he tried to assault them with his shadows, but what he didn’t know was that the armor had a slight area of effect, so the shadows were dispelled before they could pierce the soft area between the plating. Of course this also meant that Kazuya was still undetected, but very much without his intended quarry. How would he handle failing to take down the zealots he’d come across? More importantly, how would the zealots react to a shinobi suddenly being behind them while they’re taking cover from the storm in an alleyway? Not well, that’s how. Kazuya would have to think fast.

'Hmm…' Cold-Blooded maintained the blizzard, another wave of freezing wind whipped down to freeze everything in its wake! The chilling winds were repelled once again by Maru's invisible barrier that he placed on his teammates so they remained unharmed by the winds, however everyone else suffered to the frost both civilian and guardsman alike. Maru pulsed out his aura of dread to spread throughout the city from doing a loud demonic screeching, an aura of danger that will cause his victims to lock up from the sheer sight of him. Cold-Blooded could hear the screams of horror, could feel the growing body count, the blood in the snow and the lack of response from the city. 'Supreme Commander, I believe that there are civilians in this village…' she simply states as they walked towards the village casually, Maru preparing for another attack. "That's bullshit, they have the whole city weaponized plus we are fighting in the city. Area of effect Jutsu is a must for dealing with these people." he barked. So what if a few civilians get caught up in the crossfire? If he went for the military personnel only he wouldn't make a convincing villain plus he needed to show them that they aren't safe. That he won't discriminate against who he attacks because he's the big bad man and that all attention should be on him. This was the only sure way to get their attention to him and him only.

Maru was about to fire another winter lotus when he looked at the concerned look on Cold-Blooded face, he didn't even notice himself smiling maliciously as he was about to kill off more civilians for a simple distraction. Often times, Maru's monster hunting missions relied on genocide to make Youkai follow him. Kill all the bloodthirsty demons, kill the leader, figure out what he should do with the children. This mission was no different, however the city was in no way shape or form prepared for a full scale attack. It was just him and his contract. There was a whole village of people like him and they couldn't even handle a couple of strikes from him! Imagine if the team got together to destroy them, they wouldn't stand a chance with their chakra absorbing armor. It was pretty unfair, so Maru decided to give these people a chance. At least to make Cold-Blooded feel better at least. Halting on attacking, Maru hopped over the guarded wall then landed to where the guardsman could see him creating a platform made from ice so whoever was in the area could see him. Using the winds of the storm, he spoke loud and with a sense of authority to his foes.

"PEOPLE OF THE HOLY REPUBLIC, HEAR MY VOICE!
MY NAME IS LORD SHIVERO, THE SUPREME COMMANDER OF THE YOUKAI ARMY OF MOUNT FEAR! SOME OF YOU KNOW US BETTER AS DEMONS, AS YOU ALL ARE AWARE A GREAT NUMBER OF YOU HAD BEEN KILLED BY MY HANDS, AND I PLAN TO KILL MOST IF NOT ALL THE HUMANS LIVING WITHIN THIS WRETCHED VILLAGE…. I DO SO ONLY AS AN EXAMPLE OF THE POWER THAT I WEILD…. THAT WE ELDER DEVILS AS A RACE WIELD FOR…
I AM GOD!

Maru declared, looking down at the guardsman unsure if they were affected by his aura of danger since it was a more natural ability and probably not made from chakra. But hey if you stood there and listened to what his intentions are it's all the better. With Maru's ability of his unbounded loyalty his Youkai Jeez in case anyone tried to harm Maru, Cold-Blooded doing the same preparing to cause an avalanche if they tried anything during his speech.

"I AM NOW CONTROLLING THE WEATHER, THE ENVIRONMENT ITSELF INCLUDING THIS CITY, AND POWERFUL SUPERNATURAL FORCES BEYOND YOUR MORTAL UNDERSTANDING. AND I'LL USE THEM AGAINST ANYONE WHO OPPOSES ME! TO ALL THE PEOPLE OF THIS CHURCH WHOM WEAR THE ARMOR I URGE YOU TO REMOVE IT FROM YOUR BODY AND ALLOW YOURSELF TO BECOME SACRIFICES IN MY HONOR. YOUR DEATHS WILL BE QUICK, AND YOU WON'T HAVE TO SUFFER A SLOW AGONISING DEATH AT YOUR IGNORANCE. AND TO THOSE HUMANS WHO HAD BECOME…. COLLATERAL DAMAGE THERE IS A WAY TO SPARE YOURSELF FROM THE FROZEN DEATH…."

He paused, clearly addressing the surviving civilians that were suffering from the last couple of strikes him and his elemental had done.

"EXPRESS YOUR FEAR CIVILIANS! SCREAM IN TERROR, WALLOW IN GRIEF, STAMPEDE TO THE EXIT. THROW ALL YOUR BELIEVES ASIDE AND ALLOW YOURSELF TO EXPERIENCE THE ULTIMATE TERROR THAT IS MYSELF! YOU DO THAT AND I MAY EVEN SPARE YOUR MISERABLE EXISTENCE. THE STORM IS SENTIENT AND WILL KNOW THOSE WHO DO NOT WANT TO DIE AND THOSE WHO ARE IGNORANT ENOUGH TO CHALLENGE A GOD. SO SAYS THE GOD OF THE NEW WORLD! SO SAYS SHIVERO!!"

And with that, Maru finalized his speech by tearing a rift in the air, showing a deep, seemingly infinite cosmic dimension as if gazing into the heart of a galaxy. Through this distorted air, intensely bright blue balls of energy are launched upon three guardsman, each blazing like a comet as they exploded into them. Maru hoped his teammates could call his bluff about wanting to exterminate everything that didn't fear him, they obviously needed to pick up the pace on looting otherwise he'll have to start using leach seals on his contracts. Desperate times call for desperate measures, if they didn't hurry he might need to call up a meteor to attack everything to keep his threat up. And needless to say the environment won't help a lot of people. Maru maybe underestimating these people, but if this was their way of planning an attack they didn't plan ahead on a situation like this.

Utterly focused, nothing could shake Saki's resolve to complete his task. Nothing stood in the way of him entering the warehouse and walking out with whatever he wanted. Nothing except for his own contempt, that is. His breath, visible in the sheer cold, fogged his glasses much in the same way his own frustration at the situation began to fog his mind. An explosion sounded from somewhere in the direction that he had sent Mirō, which truly only had one logical conclusion. Kazuya, from the corner of Saki's perception, had attempted to attack zealots. Ice continued to fly past his hair.

What had happened to the mission? What had happened to stealth, to not letting anyone know we were present? Screaming came from everywhere, from nowhere, from within. Saki couldn't tell anymore. He wanted to scream himself. He probably would have, if he didn't have the wherewithal to contain himself. He was heating up from the inside out, despite the storm, and he knew that he needed to control himself. Regardless of the situation, he absolutely could not allow himself to lose his temper. At the very least, he had to be better than the others, and right now, that meant that he needed to complete the task at hand. He needed to get into that warehouse while the coast was clear. Everything else could be sorted out later.

Saki breathed in deeply, cold air beginning to sting his lungs. Sleet wetting his hair, pressing his clothes to his body, making his joints stiff. They needed to get in and out before this became more of a problem. He was sure he could feel himself bleeding within his lungs from the intensity of the cold.

"Absolutely not," Saki barked at Kazuya. "It doesn't matter what the others are doing. I am getting into that warehouse as soon as possible, undetected, and taking what I can. Your job is to incapacitate anyone who attempts to enter while I am in there without being seen, and without killing them." An icicle shot passed Saki's face and made him reel backward, caught off-guard by how close it had come. Maru must have been getting sloppy. "I repeat: do not engage any hostile combatants unless I am in immediate danger of discovery. Remain hidden."

A booming voice came from seemingly every direction, a voice that sounded suspiciously like a certain academy headmaster trying to make his voice sound deeper than it actually was, and embarrassingly so if it were up to Saki to decide it's quality. He shook his head at Maru's attempt to cover the storm and alleviate Kumo's presence but took the opportunity provided by rushing across the way, slipping into the main warehouse door, blown wide open by the intensity of the winds and the icicles periodically clanging against the side. And what a relief it was to be indoors. Not only were the winds much more manageable but there was also a distinct temperature increase. It was almost nice inside. Saki began searching for the dimiterium.

He didn't need to search long. It would have probably been harder to search for areas in the warehouse where there weren't anti-chakra materials. Saki could hardly see the floor; there were rows and rows stretching the entirety of the warehouse of nothing but dimiterium swords, axes, knives, breastplates, shinguards, and more. There were locally made arrows and arrowheads, scimitars from the west, rapiers, and weapons Saki had never seen before. He was sure he saw a goddamn fishing rod.

Still stealthed, Saki walked towards a nearby crate of weaponry, neatly organized and well-maintained. The blades were all sharp, clean, and relatively imposing, considering they could literally suck the life right out of you. He steeled himself, taking a moment, then reached out and began grabbing what he could.

He dropped them almost immediately. As soon as his hand had neared the metal, he felt the energy flowing out of him. More than that, he could visually see that his camouflage jutsu was dispelled without his intent, and he could feel that his curse seal was retracting back into his mark.

"Shit."

He re-cast his camouflage, channeled the power of his seal again, then backed away and mentally re-grouped. This mission had just become significantly more difficult. Not only was he going to have to deal with his chakra being drained, but also he would need to figure out how he was going to escape the village unseen without being able to turn practically invisible again. On top of that, he realized he didn't even bring a bag to carry anything.

He peeked outside and made a mental note of the nearest palisade wall, which, luckily, was only a dozen or so meters away from the warehouse door, and opposite of the field where Maru was busy declaring himself god of the world.
"Fucking heretic." Surely, he could make it to the wall before he was seen. He stepped back inside of the warehouse and dropped all camouflaging jutsu he had active, then began frantically searching for something he could use to carry mass amounts of weaponry. It took several minutes, but he finally found a kind of torso-length duffel bag with a drawstring on one side that seemed to be intended for armorers carrying swords. Taking it up, Saki carried it to the nearest rack of weaponry and began placing everything from swords to gauntlets in it, until the bag couldn't hold anything else. Pulling the drawstring, he slung it over his shoulder and made his way to the door, glancing back and forth outside to ensure the coast was still clear. He needed to get back as soon as possible. It was only a matter of time before these materials began to kill him, or explode. Whichever came first.

At the first possible opportunity, Saki bolted for the near wall, as fast as he could with dozens of kilograms of armor weighing him down, away from the yelling and the blood and the cold, bag clanking, chakra sapping out of his back. He tried desperately to minimize his chakra output, in his best attempt to ensure that he didn't overload any of the pieces he was carrying. He wasn't sure what was going to happen, honestly. He did have a much larger chakra bank than most people, so it could go either way. Reaching the wall, Saki unhooked the bag from his shoulder, tossed it over the wall, looked over his shoulder to see if anyone was looking, then leaped over himself before he actually processed anything he had seen. He tapped his headset when he landed on the other side.

"Everyone, I'm out with the materials. Rendezvous at the meeting point when you can. If you aren't back in half an hour, those of us who are will meet you at the village gates."

And with that, Saki took off. He sprinted as fast as his legs would take him in the direction opposite of Maru's distraction. Only, he wasn't alone. Dozens, maybe hundreds of people were running in the same direction that he was, all screaming, all terrified, all focused on themselves. Some were holding children, others were holding precious objects. Some weren't even wearing clothes, all mad and frothing at the mouth, making sounds Saki hadn't been aware were possible. He fit right in. All it would take...

And he began screaming as loud as possible, camouflaged within a river of terrified villagers all, in that moment, just as selfishly putting their own lives before anyone else much in the same way Saki always had. Funny how perhaps the best he'd ever blended in before didn't come from a jutsu, but from a base instinct. Surely, no one would notice him. he was just another scared villager.

Once he reached the treeline, he would pretend to slow down just a little, just enough, until he was behind everyone else running for their lives. He would slip away into forest, and work his way back to the meeting point, where he would undoubtedly way for the others, without holding onto the bag that was growing ever heavier by the minute.

He had succeeded.

Ice and frozen wind nipped away at her skin and mental fortitude. Foolish to not be prepared for the most random of events but predicting the unpredictable was an impossible feat based purely on luck. For Kagami Mirō, luck had been nothing but cruel to her uprising.

With a weighted tome strapped to her back, its clunky edges made stealth running a task in itself. Every stride was met with a corner or its entire weight crushing the back of her legs, nearly forcing them to give out. Gritting her teeth, Mirō bolted up to another building. Hugging the wall gold eyes peered through a low and broken window. The inside of the building was shrouded in mystery. The building appeared vacant with crates scattered about in different rooms.

Squinting her eyes, Mirō was able to pick out a table with a white table cloth half off, plates seated around the edges however the meal was half eaten. The distress of the raid must’ve caused the individuals who lived here to sprint out and investigate. Chairs were knocked over and the door was left slightly open. Opening and closing as the winds from the Mutts storm played with it childishly.

“There’s gotta be a bag or something…” Avoiding the icicles that crashed into the walls and into the snow, silent footsteps stepped onto the window sill and into the house. With a blink of her eyes her gold hues turned into a beautiful crimson. Sniffing the air and searching for any traces of chakra Mirō winced in disgust. The air, pungent with whatever spices and foods the residents were eating nearly forced her to pinch her nose shut.

Slithering from room to room Mirō checked the crates and lockers the building had to offer. To her own surprise, a locker had robes etched with gold threads on the sleeves and bottoms. A wicked smile coiled on her lips as she snatched the robes from the locker. Applying the clothing over her gear Mirō took off her ANBU cloth mask to appropriately wear the priestess headpiece found in the locker. Now she looked the part of a citizen within the compound. The seas now smooth if she were to flee unnoticed like the rest of them.

The rest of the building couldn’t meet her needs. No backpacks, satchels or even linen bags. “What the hell… Do they keep their possessions in their ass?” Growing annoyed and running out of time Mirō snuck back towards the main room. A fine brow rose into the sky, fingers gripped onto the white table cloth before pulling the remnants of plates and food off the table. The crash of plates to the floor overshadowed by the howling winds and icicles shattering on impact on the outside walls.

Placing the massive tome in the center of the white sheet expert fingers proceeded to make a makeshift satchel. Effectively wearing the book like a satchel on her back it would now be hidden from prying eyes. Looking herself over once more Mirō tucked the last remaining strands of black hair underneath her headdress. Mentally preparing to head back out into the freezing cold the jingle of a door handle caught her attention. Stepping out of sight in an instant Mirō lurked within the shadows and out the window she entered right as the door was blown open from the wind.

The crunch of snow beneath her feet felt as if she stepped onto a roll of bubble wrap. Attempts to remain subtle were futile. Ducking and dodging from icicles that sped past her body she found herself turning a corner to another saddening sight. Right before entering a home for shelter a hunched over body had met a saddening fate. Moving closer to the body Mirō's eyes widened at the unfortunate sight. A mother clutching her fallen child who also had the misfortune of being taken away by the storm. The child looked no older than five, and in his hand was a book with the church's iconic symbol on the front.

Gritting her teeth in frustration, Mirō kneeled down before them. Grabbing a hold of the small book the child once clutched desperately. It was stained with the blood of the innocent. Grabbing his book from the boys’ hands, emotions ran wild within her mind. Who were the villains of this operation? The Church who experiments with weaponry to torture and execute anyone with the slightest flare of charka within? Or the Shinobi who even slaughtered the innocent to complete a mission? ‘This pain inside my heart… feels… nostalgic.’ Mirō had been unable to properly mourn for her own fallen family, the child and mother probably went through the same pain that tormented her constantly, in the blink of an eye.

Remaining hunched over in a trance a booming voice called out to her direction. Snapping her eyes over her shoulder two large guards closed in on her. “Priestess! Please help us!” Frozen in fear, Mirō thought she had been a goner. The towering men loomed behind her. “Priestess, please… we need you to give last rites to many of our fallen within the shelter down the way. We’ll shield yo-” The guard noticing the bloodied book within her hands. “Once you’re finished here. We will be your shield.” Both men held broad shields in one of their hands. Covering their vitals with them they moved to huddle around her. Her body felt as though her energy was being sucked away. “Stay back!” Mirō screamed, “I’ll follow you but please… leave room for mourning.” Her once horrified expression now pious, hoping the guards would buy her act.

Both men froze where they stood. Respecting her command, Mirō turned back to the scene in front of her. Acting quickly she leaned over, shutting the mothers horrified eyes and laying her palm on her head. For a minute, her actions held pure intent. Laying the innocents to rest, Mirō slowly rose from their side. Slowly she turned to the two guards. “Take me… to the others.” That branding scar on her face was the first thing both men gazed at. It was apparent before both of them averted their eyes and towards their destination. “Please, follow us.”

Evading icicles and the biting wind both men escorted Mirō to another building with two dying individuals. ‘How am I going to pull this off…’ Wondering how she had even gotten this far the guards escorted her between both of the men. Their wounds were severe and untreatable. Nearly shaking with fear of failing Mirō looked down at the silent men. Opening the stained book fingers paged through the text. Sampling words from multiple pages a guard roared out to her. “Well? They don’t have much time! Are you going to say anything?” A look of anger darted towards the coward who spoke up. “Do I have to remind you who I speak for?” Fear painted the boastful man's face. Forcing him to step back and hunch away dejectedly. Finding out through her act that priests and priestesses were higher up on the totem pole than the lowly guards stirred within her mind. Another guard quietly began scolding him. “Watch your tongue. Before they take it. Forgive us, Priestess.”

Huffing out loud Mirō turned to face the two men. Gathering pieces of sampling text from the booklet her voice carried out as angelically as possible. “Through this holy anointing may the Lord in his love and mercy help these two men with the grace of the Holy Spirit. May the Lord who frees you from sin save you and raise you up.” Improvising and lying had been something Mirō had to learn quickly within her small amount of time with ANBU. The ability to generate a convincing lie could turn the tides for the better or worse.

A moment of silence was given to the two men before her calloused hand gripped both of their hands. With the bloodied book in front of her, Mirō tilted her head down. Feeling their pulses grow duller and duller until they were gone. It was weird for Mirō to feel the pulse of those who faded away from this plane of existence. A sensation she had felt before and time and time again she couldn’t stand that feeling. The feeling of energy leaving their bodies nearly stunned her.

Remaining quiet, the guards vision traced the large satchel strapped to her back. Mirō slowly stood, another guard piping up before she could turn around. “What’s in the satchel, Priestess? It looks like… a-” His words were cut off by another large boom that echoed down everyone's vertebrae. Shocked to hear those words the guards ran back outside to check out the commotion. Following a few paces behind the two they all stumbled upon a figure standing on a platform of ice.

“The Dog…” Standing further away from her entourage she had to split while she could. Good thing she had kept her distance. Within seconds of backing away the Dog sent out otherworldly blue orbs into the two guardsmen that escorted her. The powerful energy shredded through their armor. Instantly burning through their skin to leave a devastating gaping wound in their chest. ‘He’s that… strong…? I may have to rethink my entire approach for later…’

The plot for revenge had to wait for another time. It took her away from reality at the sheer power the Dog had at his fingertips. The army of demons that obeyed his every command, opening a rift into another world it looked like. An intimidating opponent nonetheless but the intel Mirō would gather only benefited her in the long run.

Without the watchful eyes of the guards Mirō effortlessly slipped away into the blizzard. The freezing air made every step harder and harder. Breathing in the sharp cold air felt like her lungs would quit working. And without her mask snow would nip and bite at her cheeks to paint them a bright rose color. Thoughts of looking for Saki and Kazuya swarmed her mind. Lo and behold a transmission echoed into her ear. A sigh of relief fell from her chest knowing that Saki was successful in his endeavors but what about Kazuya?

Mirō shook the thought of failure from her mind. Kazuya was an AiT like herself. Surely he could escape with what he needed and get out safely. It wasn’t like Mirō to worry about her comrades. Especially those above her on the ladder, yet in her gut she felt anxious to know if everyone got out safely. Perhaps these thoughts meant she wasn’t a true shinobi. ‘The mission's success, above all else.’

Trudging through the snow disguised as a priestess made it easier for her to flee towards the compound walls unnoticed. Women and children fled to safe grounds and away from the blizzard. Sneaking out the side entrance with everyone else many faces begged for help. Asking for sanctuary in these desperate times from a pseudo priestess. She could lie and send them towards Kazuya’s summon so they would meet the same fate as the rest of the fallen believers of the Tenzouans.

Against the thought of sending innocents to their doom Mirō pointed away from their recon point. “There into the tall grasses towards the mountains. A safe haven for the weak and innocent.” Mirō continued to lie through her teeth, any who questioned her motives soon saw things her way with simple genjutsu. At least they would be away from their rendezvous and the Mutts damning ice charade.

Sending them off and away the screams of terror filled the air. Something she wouldn’t forget anytime soon she herself hurried off towards the recon point. A sight for sore eyes, Mirō found Saki awaiting the rest of the squad in the bushes. Carefully approaching she stripped herself of the priestess garb before getting too close to him. Mirō fumbled with the idea of being mistaken for a spiteful Tenzouan. Approaching him in her ANBU attire so there would be no miscommunication “Was it painful?” A broad question for him to answer. Interested in how he got the materials so swiftly she wondered if Saki had to engage any enemies at all. “At least we were both successful.” Turning around to a hand patted the large tome in the makeshift satchel. A devilish grin appeared on her lips. “I’ll bite my tongue until we get behind our own village gates.”

Kazuya tried to kill those stray guards, but it was unsuccessful as even a small amount of chakra can't get past those armours, even if it has holes or open areas. But luckily, Kazuya was still undetected, so he always had an option of retreating. But instead, he stands there for a while thinking if he would've retreated, they could've found him through the voices. He noticed their movements for a while if there's a suspicion raised of getting attacked or something. But just nothing, they were busy in their talk, Kazuya moved a bit near them to hear what they were even talking but it was nothing important but the food which is going to be made at their homes today. Kazuya sighed and retreated from there.

He jumped over the roof, checking the current view around the place, it was chaos. peoples running around taking shelter to save themselves from the storm. Soldiers trying to fight Maru to let delay him, but aren't able to stand a chance against him! So Kazuya didn't have to help Maru with anything, so he decided to move forward and checked Miro. She was destroying the area, so she didn't need any help too! As Kazuya knew that he still has to help in getting some anti-chakra weapons out of the village. He starts heading towards Saki and asked for some destruction but Saki yelled at him and said to keep this place in check. He didn't have many options but to follow the orders of his superior. Kazuya looks towards him and gives him a nod agreeing to keep this area in check so that no solider comes to that place.

As Saki jumped down that building into the alleyway to enter that warehouse. He just entered it without much of a problem as he had his camouflage up to prevent getting seen. Kazuya started feeling bored of sitting on top of the building and wanted to do something fun as he heard Maru shouting, it was Maru proclaiming himself a demon god. Kazuya was listening to his whole speech and it kept getting hilarious and more hilarious. But it was effective on those peoples who were dying in this chilling cold. His father Maru was getting more and more hilarious as the mission goes by and Kazuya was laughing so hard that he almost gave away his location to guards but no the guards now don't care a single bit about his location nor about what's happening around them now, but instead, they are running in a different direction to save themselves and citizens. Kazuya was planning to do something funny, but he couldn't do it as the orders given to him were to keep this area in check.

Kazuya was following his orders as he felt that Saki's camouflage is removed and his chakra is getting low, by the time he knew that he has touched those anti-chakra weapons, but his presence wasn't missing as he might have chakra on him. As he heard the sound of an armour colliding with ground and making a huge amount of noise. Kazuya saw some guards but they were running away as if they thought that this storm is making the building shatter itself into nothingness. But Kazuya had prepared himself for a battle if they were to come and check the warehouse on why that voice came out of this place. Kazuya was eagerly waiting for someone to come but nothing none of them came here to check the area. A bit of disappointment on Kazuya's face but as well as he was taking breathe of relief because Saki was safe and he has successfully gained for what they came here for in the first place. Saki was trying to find something in the warehouse, then he peeked out to check the surrounding area and ran towards the walls to get out of the city. Kazuya grins and whispers, "That wraps up the mission, now comes my turn. mhmm... I will walk around this city a bit." But Kazuya was just forgetting the temperature there and was in his dreamland, walking around the town observing peoples running around. That town has become an area of chaos and mass murdering. Now that Saki was out of town, Kazuya was looking for other two, as he knew Maru's location so he starts trying to find Miro, as he sees a female priest coming out of the church with a book, looking after the dead mother clinging to her son. But Kazuya ignored them, and started moving towards the destroyed church, after all, it was the biggest building in the whole village.

He knew that he has yet to check the current situation of the village and the details on the number of civilians casualties. He was climbing the church to stand atop of it, to get a good and clear view of the village. He notices some movements in a small building, as he starts running towards that house, he found some dead bodies of old civilians and a board stating as "Tenouzan Orphanage". Kazuya felt some guilt in his heart as he was an orphan to until Maru adopted him as his son. Kazuya starts moving inside the orphanage, as he sees a group of small children clinging to the biggest girl in the group. Kazuya started moving towards them slowly, as some small children's started crying. One of the kids gathered all of his courage and picked a rock, threw it at Kazuya shouting, "Stay away from us! Because of you all of them died and now there is no one to take care of us." Other kids also picked rocks and threw them at Kazuya but He didn't move a bit from that spot as he wanted to help those kids. Some rocks hit Kazuya on his face but weren't able to damage his face because of the mask he was wearing. But those body shots were giving him pain. He took off his mask and bent a little and said to those kids, "Are you guys done, throwing rock! I'm here to help you guys get out of this place, but not to do any harm to you guys. Just trust me a little. I will take you guys out of this place unharmed." The kids started looking towards each other thinking what to do. As a little girl came forward and asked Kazuya, "Big Brother, you will help us right?" Kazuya nodded to her while patting her head. Other kids started crying and came towards Kazuya, as he hugged them all. Then he stood up and picked up the girl in his hands, and started moving towards the outside of the village together with other kids. As he reached outside of the village, he gave them the direction, so they can meet up with all other citizens who ran away. Kazuya ordered Infrit to look for those kids in the meantime.

Kazuya again headed back into village trying to find a set of clothes, so he can also merge with the group of refugees without any problem. He then enters a house, where he finds the set of clothes he was looking for, then he turned and saw two dead bodies, by the looks of them, it seemed as they were husband and wife. He heard a kid crying upstairs as he moved there, he found a baby crying. Kazuya pitied him, as he also was quite young. He decided that he will take this kid to the cloud village with him as a big brother. He wore those cloths over his clothes and covered that baby with another set of clothes so he doesn't feel cold. He then burned that house to free their souls. He again starts heading towards the village backside, so that he can escape and meet up with others.

He gets out of the village safely and starts running towards the horde of peoples. While he was running, he didn't want to show his face, so he castes a transformation Jutsu on him and runs as fast as he can, while taking care of that baby. He sees Saki around a tree and starts heading towards that direction, where he sees the priest talking to Saki. He was sure it was his fellow Anbu Member Number 3. He starts moving towards them, and says to them, "I'm here, safe and sound! So when is Maru coming back?" He knew they will be a bit suspicious about the kid as he explains them at first contact, " Okay, So I found this kid and her parent were dead, So I burned their house and took this child together with me. I will take her responsibilities so no need to worry." He explained to them and waited for their reply and orders to do next.

With Maru’s C-level theatrics scaring the figurative crap out of the church soldiers, their commanding officers stepped into action and got their troops back into action and had them all heading towards the giant pillar of ice that had spouted out from the ground not too far from one of the outer walls. At this point their armor had been absorbing chakra from the storm to the point where it began to heat up. They’d never experienced that before, and as such wouldn’t be removing the armors to avoid the imminent explosions that’d occur in a very short amount of time because they kept being hammered by chakra.

Meanwhile, Saki had successfully snuck out of the village towards the rendezvous point using the flood of civilians as camoflage, which meant that now his literal only task was to keep the goods safe for returning to Kumogakure with them. Well, that and attending a debriefing like the rest of them. All he had to do now was return with the team, and the dimiterium gear. Without it, the mission would be a massive failure, and well, lets face it, it had been accumulating chakra due to Maru’s reckless usage of chakra all over the area, so Saki would have to think fast.

Miro’s ruse paid off. The guards believed every word coming from her mouth but like the other guards, their armor was sucking up a whole lot of chakra from the surrounding area due to Maru’s storm, so they were heating up as well. The longer they stayed in the cold the faster they’d notice their armors and weaponry begin to heat up. All in all, it seemed like the guards and priests stationed in the village had never experienced what happens to dimiterium at full capacity. Sadly, neither did the Shinobi Team doing the infiltration.

So now both Saki and Miro were safely at the rendezvous point, leaving just Kazuya and Maru unaccounted for, though before long, even Kazuya showed up having successfully evaded capture, after having disguised himself and bringing a kid along. Needless to say there’d be a lot of paperwork after this mission, and even more to discuss during the debriefing.
However, soon after three of the four shinobi had gathered at the rendezvous site, things started going downhill. The chakra armor the guards inside the village were wearing had reached breaking point and had begun detonating. This meant that one after another, the guards basically exploded, leaving buildings in ruins and shortly thereafter, leaving the entire actual village almost disintegrated from the sheer explosive force of dimiterium at chakra capacity.

If Saki was a smart cookie, he’d swiftly realize that the armor and weapons he had in the duffle bag were also at risk from the same, as they had also begun getting noticeably warm in there. He now had a choice to make. Ditch the objective, or get the crap away from active chakra in the environment, such as Maru’s storm which, for some Raiden-forsaken reason was still ravaging the area despite the village being levelled and the villagers being pretty far away from it by now.

[The town is gone.]
[The gear and book were obtained.]
[Civilian casualties.]
[Time to make your exits back towards Kumogakure for debriefing and handing over of the loot.]
[This means you’ve got only a few more posts to do before the mission is ended. If you’re behind on word count, now would be the time to make it up. At most there’s 3-4 posts to go. Exiting here, arriving in Kumo, and 1-2 for debriefing.]

Maru chuckled at seeing the civilians run for their lives, he was starting to feel like a real Youkai with the amount of destruction and fear in the air. He was surprised at how easy it was for him to single-handedly turn this town into a warzone with the help of his elemental of course. When he saw that the commanding officers were getting their troops in order, making them head to the pillar in defiance to the self proclaimed god which made Maru chuckled. "So you're not surrendering to the storm, aye? So be it." the fox said as he began to continue his attack on the soldiers with a bit more ferocity. Meanwhile, while the troopers were being hammered by chakra the civilians ran for their lives, screams of panic and confusion lingered in the air while the guardsmen charged in with their melee weapons only to be slaughtered by the self proclaimed god. This scared the crap out of a ton of soldiers, allowing Saki to move freely through the city to get the very thing that he could retrieve the weapons with most if not all the troopers focusing more on the snow white beast that is attacking them rather than guarding the weapons. Maru witnessed civilians running the opposite way, some were dragging children, mother's holding babies, others carrying items, some looted the stores for yen, and some went completely mad frothing at the mouth speaking tongues. Those were probably the unlucky ones who were wounded by the storm, because of it's spiritual nature it damaged their minds with the result being madness.

Saki informed Maru through his headset that he retrieved the materials, a half an hour he gave them though with all the attention focused on him he'd have to stall them for a little bit longer. At least hold them back until the others left the village since after all the leader had to be the last to leave. Maru looking down saw a young priestess then his smile grew from ear to ear already knowing what he’d use to get out of the city and also possibly get some companionship that was…. If these stupid guardsmen wasn’t in the way of the preistess that he was going to kidnap and attemp to seduce. But when he looked closely he noticed that this priestess wasn’t really a priestess, it was scarface! Disappointed that he wouldn’t be seducing a priest without having the Anbu on his butt he saw another woman who looked to be crying over a dead child, annoyed that the woman wasn’t running away with a flick of his wrist he made the woman see her child come back to life as a zombie then turn into something… very horrible before it chased the woman causing her to take action and run because she was afraid of the thing. This distraction was starting to take a lot out of Maru, so he decided to equip his whip and with all his might swing it to lash three guardsmen at a time to get a little bit of his chakra back from each strike. Cold-Blooded helped out since now that all the civilians were leaving the area, the ice elemental didn’t have to hold back and began to actually use the winter lotus technique to attack the soldiers with the church looking as though they were on the losing side of the battle. The two monsters attacked, seeing some people exploding like bombs when their unstable armor overheated due to taking too much chakra the church began to panic thinking that the fox had somehow caused their armor to explode. As Maru continued his assault on the guardsmen attempting to use melee weapons to deal with him cold-blooded could see a sniper in the distance trying to take aim then fired, blasting the nine-tailed enemy only to find that he didn’t get the fox… he got one of his elemental sprites that took his shape allowing cold-blooded surrounded the building in a cloud of thousands upon thousands of tiny small ice crystals that began to shred at the sniper before he too had blew up!

Gliding down to where Maru stood who'd just finished taking out a wave of guardsmen seeing Knights marching their way. "I think now is the time to figure out a escape route." the element said, trying to convince Maru to leave since the civilians and the team were out of the village. They were losing a lot of chakra and natural energy between the both of them though the fox shook his head then pointed at the Knights. Not wanting to let anything slip in case there was a spy. Maru made all nine of his tails glow a bright blue light, then without hesitation he sweeped the town with a winter lotus! The chilling winds pushed the army backwards, making their amor glow a bright red reaching their breaking point before finally the armory of knights blew up! The last thought they had was pain, confusion, then nothing. Maru brought up a barrier to protect himself as his time in sage mode expired, running on fumes as one after the other the dimiterium armored soldiers began to explode taking the city with them. Rubble sprayed from the town, dust clouds rising upwords, and the earth rumbling with thousands of explosions that were triggered due to the control of the environment and the harsh weather. Some guardsmen only had a moment to curse their God's before meeting the fate of the others, some started to retreat only to have a building collapse on them, and some even pressed on to keep fighting. Taking aim at the barrier only to explode, killing their partners with them. The civilians looked in wide eyed shock as they saw some guardsmen suddenly explode in a fiery ball with the cause being unknown, hearing a roar coming from the town that almost seemed like a high pitched screech. Not one of pain, but one of triumph!

The Screeching made one civilian who watched the devastation faint, some cried, and a few asked their God's as to why they'd do something like this to them. They watched as the sky went from the greyish white to a hellish orange and red with the screams of soldiers lingering in the air until the explosions stopped…

________

The symbol of the church was burning to ash, the buildings we're now in ruins making the town look post-apocalyptic in nature with only two fingers, one with an evil crooked grin admiring his handy work while the other looked around in wide eyed horror at what she'd become. Maru began to cackle in laughter, kicking at a helmet believing that these chakra hating church deserved whatever they got and more. With the genocide nearly complete, the fox looked at his elemental who looked to be in the early stages of melting. "Hey Cold-Blooded… you have anything left in the tank? That last attack really wore me out." he stretched looking around to see if he could find any crispy church goers to eat, but most of them were wearing some kind of weird religious items and them being over cooked he couldn't find anything here to eat. At least without it giving him heartburn not to mention over cooked human taste awful. "I don't have much left…. I think we should start heading..-" she was cut off when Maru summoned his Youkai Jeez who was restoring a bit of Maru's chakra so he could go sage mode again.

"No biggie! I could still get a few civilians. We got 11 officer's right?" Maru asked as though he was going to go to a restaurant and order take out.

'Huh?'

"Yeah there are 11 soooo…. Meh I'll just get whatever, some might have religious tattoos so I'll get as many as I can. You like the liver of children right?" Maru looked back and asked Cold-Blooded who was trying to get Maru's attention but instead he went on trying to decide on what civilians would make a proper meal for his companions. Rubbing his chin trying to figure out how he will be able to explain killing the civilians that weren't just collateral damage. "Hmmm… the suicide bombing would be a good cover story for at least 11 coming up missing. I mean what's 11 people?" Maru told himself as the fire of the destroyed church crackled behind him.

"Maru. That attack drained our chakra reserves and natural energy… even if we were to begin another massive onslaught I don't think we can explain EATING civilains who were FLEEING as a DISTRACTION." Cold-Blooded explained pointing to the destroyed warehouse that stored the weapons and armor. "If we could've at least drew the army away, we could've had an entire warehouse but instead. IT. IS. DESTROYED! Military is disabled sure, but we don't HAVE a surplus of what we came here for. Do you understand our problem now?" the elemental when finished allowed Maru to think about what he's done. The fox thought the destruction of the village was a good thing and had never thought of actually getting a bunch of the weapons since he trusted his teammates to do just that. 'Oh….' he looked at the destroyed building that held the weapons. 'Ohhhhhhhh…..' He looked at the church, covering his mouth seeing that it was obliterated too along with any records or secrets that would've been inside them. Now he looked at the bodies, people he could've kidnapped then whooped information out of who were in pieces and Maru's ears drooped downwards because the only information he had was that the explosions were powerful enough to destroy an entire town. 'Oh shit!'

Maru pressed his headset. "Hey guys… so I blew up the town. Well technically I didn't it kinda self destructed but yanno if that drunk could like…. Oh I dunno.. get out of the area before he blows up while I drop my control of the environment that would be pretty nice.. I'll see you soon!! But seriously drunk get out of there cause… that's all we are gonna get." with that, he stopped then began running, gesturing for his elemental to follow to begin his run to head back to Kumogakure. Dropping his hold on the environment since everyone was safe, his eyes scanning around for at least something useful before he ran out of village then got on his hands and knees then began to crawl with the grace of a wild animal to try and catch up with the group already making up a bunch of excuses as to why the town was obliterated and why it was for the best that the town is no more. Who cares about a few dead chakra haters, an entire chakra hating military, and a town? Not even a real town anyway, it's just a big ass military base.

Saki could still hear the heavy footfalls of dozens of civilians fleeing in every direction from the town. It didn't take more than half a glance to see them sprinting, screaming, scrambling, tripping, crushing each other to get away from the unnatural storm that had appeared out of nowhere as they clamored through the forest. Even from here, the frosty coldness of the air lapped against his cheeks. His lips were cracked, his eyes a cold kind of tired, the snot in his nose cracking.

What just happened?

He stood in a stunned sort of silence, letting the duffel full of dimiterium items fall lazily to the floor and against his leg as he leaned helplessly upon a large oak tree, though it was hard to tell if he was waiting for his comrades or too in shock to actually do anything other than stare into the void between the treeline and where the once-habitable village stood. Maybe it was a little bit of both. He let his eyes fall closed in a weariness that extended from his body to his soul, but he couldn't keep them closed for long. All he saw were images of blood-spattered buildings and men with icicles through their necks, their chests, their stomachs. Men shambling, grasping at their wounds, trying desperately to put the blood spilling out back into their bodies. Men who hadn't yet realized they were dead. His mind's eye flipped between a sullen landscape of smoke and ice and the harrowing pictures of innocents tortured by the inability to do anything other than scream over their child's dead body. Open or closed, his eyes offered no relief from the sight.

Miro approached, massive tome strapped to her back. She, at least, looked good, relatively speaking. Saki heard no panting for air, did not see torn clothes barely hanging on, did not sense empty maw in her soul that he was beginning to feel form in his own. Yes, Miro was okay.

She asked if it hurt.

Saki did not answer. He did not know how to answer. He did not know if there was a correct answer. Did he hurt? Not really. He had no ice protruding from the side of his head, no spears through the underside of his body, no sword slashes threatening vital organs. He was, by all outside accounts, completely unharmed outside of a chilly shiver.

So why did he feel this way?

She said we were successful.

But were we?

She said she'd bite her tongue.

"Probably for the best," he replied, his face a pale mask of emotionlessness, despite the fact he wore nothing to cover it.

That mask did not last long, though. As Kazuya approached, grim horror began to turn to a kind of frustration, a kind of anger that would not be sated. Despite the frosty whips still touching his face, a kind of heat began to rise in him that would not be held down, would not be restrained. It demanded to come out. It demanded to be set free. It demanded to be released from the chains of his heart and unleash itself upon the world. Kazuya stepped forward, an infant in hand. The anger broke free, and Saki's fist clenched, his arm tensed, his legs moved on their own and for a second, he was blinded by rage. His vision went dark. He was no longer his own. He was a man trapped inside his own eyes, floating backward through a formless void as he saw the actions his body made without him. His fist--tight, painful, frigid--shot out. Someone, somewhere, was screaming at the top of his lungs. It was some kind of blood-curdling, guttural, evil shriek that you might expect out of a children's nightmare, and yet here it was.

Saki snapped back into his own self. The warm stickiness of blood trickling through his fist. He felt the familiar radiance of one of his cursed seals creeping its way up along his back and around his arm, surrounding his hand. He realized it was he who was screaming.

He looked down.

His fist was half embedded into the bark of the tree he had been leaning on, and he couldn't remember how he'd gotten there. Where was he? Why was it so cold? Why was his leg so warm?

And that's when he heard it.

Boom

Lightly, in the distance, a soft shockwave rang through the clearing. he turned, looking at it, just in time to see a chain of low explosions ring through the town, first softly, then exponentially louder as the sound fully reached their position.

"THE DIMITERIUM!"

Saki didn't hesitate. He acted on instinct alone. As his leg began to feel the dull warmth of the dimiterium in the duffel, he kicked it up and grabbed it, his cursed seal retreating back into his clothes, and dashed as fast as his legs would carry him back to Kumogakure.

His emotions spoke louder than his words. Eyeing Saki up and down, Mirō could tell deep down something inhuman burst within his chest. It was something she noticed that she could do quite well, picking up people’s emotions even by the slightest eye twitches. She herself had an unbeatable poker face, granting her wins at gambling down at Cronopolis, however the intensity in Saki’s eyes spoke volumes. The sound of snow crunching beneath their feet caught her attention from Saki’s eyes. Before she could even react Saki let Kazuya know of his foolish actions. Anger filled her core, quickly pushing up her mask over her nose a verbal hiss escaped her breath.

“You brought a damn child? Must you spit on the ANBU codex and my Masters honor?” Gritting her teeth those gold eyes turned into spiteful crimson hues. Glowering at Kazuya for his shameful and disrespectful actions towards Kumogakure and the ANBU itself.

“Leave the child or I'll take care of him myself.” Threatening Kazuya, Mirō herself wouldn’t let another trainee sully the good word of her Masters teaching by bringing the enemy right to the rendezvous point without a mask himself or his squad members. Reaching behind her a paper blade began to form in her hands. Ready to deal a fatal blow to the orphan and perhaps knock sense into Kazuya. Yet before Mirō could finish her blade a screech of horror echoed out. Red hues darted to the epicenter of the scream to witness a flash of white light followed by a ground shaking explosion.

“The camp…!” Within seconds everything was decimated by the explosion. Maru’s ice storm must’ve agitated the material too much-...

Turning her back to the mushroom cloud, a shockwave nearly knocked her onto her face. Digging her ankles into the ground Saki hollered out, kicking up the bag of Dimiterium and bolting off with it on his back. Nearly posing as a suicide bomber himself, Saki’s sudden panic attack caused her own heart rate to accelerate. Activating her fight or flight instincts Mirō turned back towards Kazuya. “Leave the child. Their life is full of dread anyway..” Darkness and hate loomed around her body, she herself wanted to save orphans but not at the cost of risking an entire mission, Kumogakure’s well being and the honor of the ANBU Ops.

Bloodlust filled her core and with her Sharingan active it was effortless for her to cast a mind altering Genjutsu onto the child. Sealing away his ability to see the infant could only view the darkness. Applying her verge of darkness onto the orphan, making Kazuya deal with the now horrified child’s wails and cries of fear. This made it easier to distract Kazuya. Mirō melded to her surroundings, attempting to take the appearance that she had left, suddenly turning to violently punch into Kazuya’s guts. It was hard enough to knock the wind and his lunch out of him. “That orphan could get revenge on our village if we take him in. Do not take that risk.”

Glaring at Kazuya, Mirō returned back into stealth, Following Saki’s footprints in the snow. Soft hands rose up to pull out the ear piece. Crushing it in her palm the barking of the mutt made her sick to her stomach. Contemplating everyone’s actions and emotions… a headache slowly encroached her mind as she dashed back towards the village gates.

The horrific screams, the hundreds of lives taken by her squad's foolishness, she wasn’t a saint herself. Enveloped in her emotions, her legs began to wobble. Stopping quickly to lean up against a tree a hand quickly rose up, unable to contain the contents of her stomach. Mirō was a wreck, yet deep within her mind part of her didn’t care for the lives lost at the compound. Wiping her hand on the tree and spitting out the rest of her meal Mirō stumbled forward. Progressing towards the village once more.

As the anger of Saki and inhuman bloodlust, Miro unleashed towards that child, who started crying in Kazuya's hand because of the murderous aura being sent towards her. Saki left without saying anything suppressing his inhumane anger from getting unleashed in the terrain tearing it down. So he decided to stay quiet about it and headed towards the village in order to hand the report.

While on the other hand, as soon as Saki left. Miro started scolding Kazuya for him bringing a child together with him and breaking the code of conducts Anbu had, disheartening Miro while creating an insulting mark on himself. As Miro threatened him saying to either leave this kid here or she will deal with it. While Kazuya started pitting both that kid and himself. It was a very unlucky time for her and Kazuya had a very soft spot in his heart for abandoned children, as he is one himself creating this very sweet spot.

Miro unleashing her bloodlust towards the kid saying that she will try to get her revenge on us if we take her in. But Kazuya didn't try to disagree to it, as he knew she was somewhat correct. Kazuya looking towards that kid making a very sorrowful face showing his disappointed towards Anbu for not even letting a small kid alive who doesn't know who killed her family or anything about today's incident. But Kazuya knew that this mission is a very important one for his career and also for Kumo village. This was a war, and war doesn't show their sympathy towards old, children are no exception to it. To war, everything is equal be it poor or rich, weak or strong.

This mission wouldn't end without getting rid of this kid whom Kazuya was holding in his hand. As Miro left him with the last decision to make. Kazuya sensed Maru coming towards the direction, as he waited for him to help him with the decision. To be honest, Kazuya didn't want to kill this kid, by all means, he just wanted her to live a peaceful life but that wouldn't be possible as this wasn't a normal mission but a war between chakra user and non-chakra users. creating fear in their hearts which wouldn't fade away even if they try their best to forget it, but instead, it will be passed down their generations creating a massive fear wouldn't even let them lift their fingers towards chakra users.

As Maru was approaching closer and closer towards him. He was looking up in the sky for a moment and then again back at that kid with a very sorrowful expression. "Sorry kid, I think I will need to finish my job instead of taking care of you." Kazuya whispering to that kid.

Kazuya stopping Maru, who was flying towards Kumo alone calling him, "Hey dad, any idea on how should I deal with this kid or Three will chop my head off for sure." Kazuya said. As Kazuya was waiting for a good idea with expectations so that he can make this kid alive by any means but knowing Maru's personality, he will give an absurd idea for sure, but Kazuya still wanted to listen to his idea to confirm something which he didn't know himself, but he was sure that Maru's answer will help him with it.

Kazuya decided that he will make his final decision as to what Maru tells him to do with that child. Whether to leave her or kill her.

Thankful that Saki heeded his warning on the Dimiterium. Despite the rather extreme nature of his attack on the village, Maru couldn't help but think of the benefits that the annihilation of the horrid place has given them. He'll have to explain it better to Raikage-Chan so she doesn't get too upset as well as provide a less grim side to this…. well disaster. Maru was about to continue on his path to the gates when he was suddenly stopped by his adoptive son who was holding a child, looking distressed as he asked the fox what to do with the child. The first thought that came to mind was to just eat it, but since Scarface seemingly didn't want the child coming into the village (at least from what Kazuya told him) the fox went with something else in mind. "Ahhh… don't worry about Scarface. She's just an Anbu monkey." he brushed it off as though she was only a child throwing a temper tantrum. Besides there was no harm in snatching the child up since CPSS does that all the time, Kazuya was simply doing his job however unfortunately Scarface did outrank him.

"Tell ya what, how about I take the kid. I outrank her, both in rank and power so she can't threaten me without getting punished." Maru taking the child from Kazuya's arms he used his free hand to give Kazuya a pat on the head. "Don't worry, I mean if the Raikage wants it dead then she should get a chance to at least look at it first. Don't worry about it, you did good."

With that, Maru dashed for the forest disappearing in a sea of trees. Leaving Kazuya there while he thought of his next course of action. 'Well kid, looks like you're going to be the very thing to save my hide probably. With your village destroyed Raikage Chan can turn it into whatever she wants! Ain't that cool!' he thought to himself, though with the child still crying within his arms which Maru simply ignored until now. He stopped running to good into his ninja pouch to put a little lullaby powerder on his finger then rubbed it on the infant's gums. It didn't take long for it to take effect either, with a little rocking and slowly walking the child was out like a light before it knew what was happening. Satisfied that the dreaded noise had stopped, he dashed forward heading back to Kumogakure with the child in hand.
