Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The room are not the largest in the manor, being the size of a large den or living room. It had a table in the center with six chairs along the two sides and one at each end. Beyond the white walls there was nothing else present, not even windows. It gave off a cold vibe, but in truth it was simply where Tenken held the truly important meetings. The current leader of the clan sat at one end of said table, that farthest from the door, and he waited for their guest to enter. Before him lay the papers that Osore had given him, detailing his own findings on the way to Moon from Lightning on the condition of the body. It appeared Hoshikata had simply bitten off more than he could chew, but the rest of the clan would not abide by this without something, some knowledge that it was entirely on the hands of their former leader. Tenken still was only a figurehead in his own clan and he knew he could change that now, but he had yet to.

He was wearing a dark blue robe with a white undershirt and had his long blue heir in a side ponytail. The right side of his head was closely shaved, giving him a rather lopsided appearance. Prayer beads were around his neck, adding to the odd look. He knew his appearance could give an impression of a simpleton, and even someone as naive as he could use that to their advantage. The light above lit him well enough, meaning even his crystal blue eyes could be seen clearly. They were currently stoic, showing a determination he barely felt.

Osore, meanwhile, sat in the next room staring at the beeping monitors. None of the medical personnel would tell him what was going on, but thankfully he appeared to be over his outbursts of rage from finding out what had happened. As the door opens and his father enters, the giant gives a growl. "Relax, boy. I'm here to talk. And check something. Were you aware your brother is going to be meeting with one of the men behind the murder of your cousin?"

Okaname had been traveling with the band of Isaki, they didn't seem pleased with the report, naturally. But they seemed utterly obsessed with whom or what they should be blaming, like this was all about who did what and how. When there were far more important matters that needed to be attended. The conclusion that had been reached by the Councillors at the time was far from enough to reach a complete report. But at least he might be able to calm some elements in the bitter medicine that the Isaki was handed at the time.

"Tenken, I presume?" The man asked as he walked into the meeting room as he was settling his tight jacket. And then walking over and seating himself at the farthest away seat on the opposite side of Tenken.
Mutual respect, he hoped there was once seated.

"I am under the understanding that I am to tell of what is known on the demise of your 'son' is it?" He was resting his elbow on the chair, and looking the man straight in his eyes.

Osore sat bolt upright at the words, his eyes widening as he begins pulling the various tubes out of him and setting off alarm after alarm. As nurses rush in to sedate him Shokia stops them at the door, laughing as they can't simply brush him out of the way due to his own position within the clan. Behind him, Osore finally removes the last of the useless things and rises, his form immense and for the first time since he was a child flawless, no scars or burns. He looks around for something to wear but Shokia throws him some robes to cover himself. In his haste, Osore never even notes their color...

Tenken sighs, running a hand through his longer locks. ”No, he is my cousin. Hoshikata's parents have been dead for the better part of a decade now. His brother vanished after Mist fell. He was the only member of the central Isaki clan left. So you can see why we would have questions. Our scion went to your village alive and well, and he returns in a box. What can you tell me about his death?”

”Better to ask what he will tell you.” The words were loud enough through the door before it opened and a figure entered, shutting it behind him. Without his armor Osore was still tall, a fair hairs short of seven feet, but his powerful muscles were a more normal size somehow. But that wasn't the thing that would make his brother stop cold. Reddish-gold eyes peer from below a red hood, with long white hair and a white goatee marking his face. It was a familiar face, lacking only the extremely weathered look or unique pupils of his cousin.

”Councilor, a pleasure.” Osore walks to the table and pulls a chair, sitting in the middle of it on the left side of Okaname. ”What does your council know of the murder of our leader?”

Okaname looked puzzled as the other man entered, resembling ever so slightly his cousin, Hoshikata.
"Ah, you caught me off guard. But correct, the more precise question is what I can in fact tell you and what I know personally."
He settled his glasses upon his nose bridge, closer to his eyes.
"First off, I would like to formally express my remorse for your loss."

"According to reports from the Raikage's office, certain details were given light to what his goals within the village. Hoshikata wished to become a proper member of the village through an agreement with the Raikage. He wished so out of a love for a Kumo Shinobi, supposedly. Our Raikage, Hayata Shin denied him this privilege, causing Hoshikata to fly into a rage and strike him down. Hoshikata and numerous Kumo-nin died in the battle that ensued in the room of which it occurred. In essence, revenge was already taken. it was already over the moment our officials arrived at the scene."

As he let his words sink in he pulled off his glasses and placed them on the table as he rested his elbows on the table and looking at the two people sitting in the room with him. He sighed and added an addendum to his statements.
"I believe it is worth mentioning that he was able to kill two other Cloud Shinobi in addition to hospitalizing a third who is now being held as a danger to himself and others due to the significant mental trauma"
Clenching his index and thumb on the bridge of his nose with closed eyes in frustration, as he grabbed his glasses again with the other hand, and after a second or two he opened up his again and placed his glasses back into place.

"We are still finding out more details on the whole scenario, who did what and what happened exactly in that room. This is just what we know at this point in time."
He sat in silence as he awaited their reactions and responses.

Osore looks up at Tenken, noting his brother's almost slack jawed facade and wondering what that was about. Yes, he was out without his armor and he was feeling better than he could ever remember feeling, but that was no reason for this type of staring. His eyes snap back to the councilor from Cloud sitting before him and gives an exaggerated sigh, shaking his head at the man's words. This was why you never trust a politician, they were just so good at pretending to be things.

”So, Hoshikata went into a rage because he was denied something. The man who had the patience to lead the village of Mist, to lead his clan through an exodus that brought them here, to go back to Mist when it fell and ferry survivors about. The man who could wait years for the right moment to make his move....gave in to a rage and attacked your leader. In a room full of shinobi. If you knew him you'd know how patently wrong that sounds. He was not an idiot, he would not attack the leader of a nation when said leader was surrounded by guards.”

Tenken starts as Osore slaps a paper down onto the table, sliding it over to Okaname. The blue eyed leader of the clan clears his throat and looks to Osore again, nodding slightly. ”Hoshikata was many things, few of them good. But he was cunning, intelligent, and above all too sure of himself to be reckless for no reason.”

”That paper is the autopsy done by one of our own. It's fascinating what you can find from a corpse. Eating habits, for instance. Granted this one was too long dead for food to be of any help. But what we did find was nonetheless interesting. Hoshikata died from three pucture wounds that entered from his back and hit vital organs as well as severing his spine and chipping his ribs. The path of the wounds, as well as their shape and the metal flecks left behind, would indicate a fast attack. The extreme damage to their final resting place shows that they were left in for some time before being removed. So...a weapon that does not have to be held in the hand. Likely kunai or bolt or arrow or some such.”

“More interesting is that these wounds, the fatal ones, were healed over after he died. The cells did not enter mitosis during the healing, and there was no scar, merely an empty pocket under the skin. And then acid was thrown over it. Why would you kill someone, then cover those wounds to inflict more that aren't lethal?”
His eyes rise to meet the councilor's, golden and bright with an inner fire of anger.

”He's been dead for some time. Whoever was in that room with him did not want people to know how he really died. And seeing as your village already did an autopsy, you either know of this or aren't trusted with reality by your peers. So stop lying to me.”

Tenken once more stared at his brother, noting now the little differences and similarities that were there. So like him, so unlike him. The aggressiveness was Osore, and Osore was never stupid. The use of words, however, was not something he was sure belonged to his brother. This was all too much.
