Whenever there'd be a public sparring match between two shinobi, the citizens of leaf would make their way to Kitsune Park in hopes to watch a mesmerising fight that could possibly be the talk of the village for a day or two. As part of Aria and Mitsuha's initiation, Keniwa requested to his Sensei that they go through the same initiation in to the squad that he had faced himself. Though not against the gunslinging Head Jounin mind you, but rather the newly appointed Jounin. However one of them was in absolutely no condition whatsoever to battle, him and Aria had just went on a deadly mission where she had poured her heart and soul in to protecting the others and keeping them alive. She earned her rest and as much as she might have wanted to, she couldn't fight him at 100% and so for now her test was postponed. Regardless of whether she could fight or not right now the Kyoujouran respected her all the same a mighty warrior. For today she'd watch.

However... Mitsuha... He only knew a few things about the young kaguya, similar to him her skin can become a hard substance stronger than most steels and that she was very shy, almost to a deadly amount. She'd do anything to stay in the dark, and for that reason...

Being a shinobi meant fighting against it all, your strengths, your weaknesses, you never know what you'll be up against out on the field. And for that reason Keniwa asked for it to be held in the coliseum with an audience, all were welcome to come. When Ishi faced Keniwa, the jounin had to learn to rise above his weaknesses and stand steadfast against it all, today Mitsuha would do the same in a different way. Though she didn't know this, at least to his understanding, was that they were going to fight in the arena. Yet as the two neared the arena it was clear to here the audience's murmurs and whispers, growing louder.

As the two reached the entrance he would say to her "Alright Mitsuha todays the day you join your squad! Ishi and Aria will be watching... And uhm.. a few other people... To tell you the truth there will actually maybe be a couple hundred here. My parents are coming to watch as well! Maybe yours heard of it to? I have no idea." He expected to probably get an upset response yet he'd already mentally prepared for it. "As Shinobi we'll have to face our fears. I just wanted to ask you, uhm are you okay with me going all out in this fight? I'm sure you'll do great! I just... don't want to hurt you." It might have sounded insulting but it was coming from a genuine place, his tone sounded worried and concerned. He wanted to push her to the mettle, not exactly shatter it.

She just wanted to die. How did she ever get roped into something like this and why? Fighting does take her mind off of being watched, but only if there's a small amount of people. But she can hear a lot of people talking amongst themselves. She eyed Keniwa. "I hear a lot of people..." She has a feeling that she is going to hate this very very much.

"Whatever." She would simply say when he told her that he doesn't want to hurt her. She would walk past him and he would very faintly see a scar on the back of her head, covered by her own hair. She took a deep breath and opened the door. She could see many people watching with anticipation. There was a few murmuring, but otherwise all was quiet. Now, her shyness was replaced with anxiety and anger. She would turn around to face Keni, a fierce determination in her eyes. "You wanted a spar? Fine, let's do this."

The crowd roared and cheered as the two of them entered the arena, Mitsuha's cold yet fighting words only kindled the fire inside of him to fight with all his heart. However it wasn't his fight, it was hers, he needed to see what she could do and what he could help with. As they each went to their respective starting positions a chuunin would stand between the middle of them as he raised a flag above his head. "I'll presume you two are ready unless you have anything else to say?" Looking between the two of them as an excited silence would echo throughout the coliseum the audience on the edge of their seats in anticipation. "Alright then. I'll start the countdown." Keniwa's eyes tightened sharply focusing in on Mitsuha as he clenched his fists ready for the fight, he wouldn't let her out of his gaze as the shinobi would begin to count. "3. 2. 1! Go!"

Immediately Keniwa had wanted to display his recent mastery over his new found technology, as the electricity coursed through the mechanical gloves sparks would fly off from left and right creating a static pulse around him. A serious expression on his face with furrowed eyebrows he wouldn't take this fight lightly as several clones of Mitsuha would form around him, yet it was clear which was the real one. No matter, all of them would fall pray to his next technique. "Mitsuha! Show me... YOUR SPIRIT!" A blazing orange large aura of chakra would spread constantly from the Kyoujouran's point, engulfing those in the field who couldn't stand strong, leaving them hindered until they would display their might. It seemed to be taking effect on her and her clones as he'd shake his head in a slight disappointment. 'The battle is still early let's see what she has to offer.'

His speed outshone hers, however it was clear she was giving her all as when she did land her attacks, the majority of them cut straight through his rocky skin's base level. 'Powerful... Can't underestimate it.' It was even more clear which one was real as the clones moved slower and were easier to dodge than the true one, like a swift kunoichi she would slice with grace and power, the potential was ginormous especially for her age. With her even dodging out of the way of his own attack, landing on the floor as he charged at her and scraping himself on the ground, she was putting Keniwa's own strength against him. A tactician for sure. It was time for him to show her a fraction of his own strength as blood would trickle down from his arms, he'd smile with glee, albeit small it was there on his face.

As his chakra would blaze across the battlefield roaring at all who stood against him smoke would arise from his back as his the skin above all of his chakra network would glow a molten boiling orange. His eyes glowing a powerful orange he'd cross his arms and his expression would turn serious again, he wasn't in pain, since his last fight with Ishi and his life threatening mission using this much power was becoming easier and much less straining, the heat surrounding him would be a warm powerful flame. "Alright Mitsuha. Here I come!" The ground below his feet would begin to crack as he prepared for his next attack.

The girl was quick to react. Bones protruded out of her skin and formed a type of battle armor, one that proved to make her movements fluid and have her use hand seals freely. There was only two words that any onlookers would describe such a transformation. Warrior princess. Despite her performed dance and introduction of clones, She could see that his eyes were still trained on her. Just then, a terrifying aura surrounded Keni, one in which she would start to tremble. But... Why? Although different from the situation that happened at the gates, her opponent is showing power in its purest forms. Wait... Something happened at the gates? A slight look of confusion on her face, but she shook it off as she formed hand seals. A warm blaze surrounded her. Trying her best to ignore the crowd of people watching her, she charged forth towards her opponent, the bones around her hands turning into polearms. Most of her attacks didn't hit, however, there were a few that managed to find their mark, and among them, one that had pierced through his skin and made him start to bleed.

All of her clones seemed to have missed their attacks as Keniwa slipped through her defenses and attempted an attack on her, but the girl back flipped away just to see him power up again, this time, it seemed as if there was a type of pressure around Keniwa. She would waste no time. Performing hand seals, she would summon Crush and go straight into a dance, this time, one that would help her hit her targets for frequent. The bones around her body and exoskeleton shifted around to provide the best means to grab an attack off on Keni. Closing the gap once more, the girl would this time shift the bones around her hands to make gauntlets that that give a flurry of attacks, only one of which had hit. Nevertheless, it was a strong enough attack that had made Keniwa bleed once more.

His aura continued to echo out throughout the field, orange chakra condensing the ones who he fought, reflecting on his previous battle he knew that he could quell the damage that he would take from his own might. 2 more pistons on each of his robotic gloves would move up and down as he drew more power increasing his stamina and endurance. Dodging several blows which would come hurdling towards him with speed and precision he would watch carefully he knew which were clones and which were the real Mitsuha it was clear to see. His adversary’s speed greatly outshone her own creations so there was no confusion regarding that. Charging towards Mitsuha aiming to deliver several searing blows which would leave her winded, his whole perception would be twisted.

Each and everyone of the targets on the battlefield all would turn in to the same shadowy figure. Spinning round to look at them all, there was no way he knew which was Mitsuha, however luckily for him he had no allies in the battle with him. Genjutsu was his weakness yet he wouldn’t allow this to turn the tide of the battle, leaping through the air he let forth a blazing assault of fists punching straight through two of the figures, dispersing upon hit. They must have been clones. One more had taken some of the blows yet the shadow still remained in contact despite being knocked away a bit.

Several blows had been launched at him as well as he would be stabbed again. Yet for him it was still unclear who had caused him to bleed out, all he knew is that there was two left standing. It was unlikely they weren’t the strongest ones, Mitsuha and her contract… Clenching his fist tight as he lunged towards her, times would swell in his mind. Koharu and Ikari, his parents were watching from the stands, all the brutal training, everything it took to be a Kyoujouran. A true Kyoujouran who could stand through the tests of time their skin being the toughest of all, smashing anything which dared to stand in their way. Smashing, wouldn’t be enough, no. A shattering strike that would leave anyone begging for mercy, grabbing on tight to the figure which had hit him last he clamped down on the shadow given form keeping them still as he launched a devastating blow as they were sent flying. The sound of glass being smashed in to tiny pieces echoed out throughout the field.

Whilst his fist simmered he spent the rest of the time dodging attacks with flashes of speed, he wouldn't let the disturbances inside of his mind bring him down.

Mitsuha has got to think on the defensive. Her opponent has a domination when it comes to strength. She formed hand seals and made a barrier around herself to cushion any damage that she might take. Her clones and Crush is keeping him busy for right now, and it's all she can do to really get him to not hit her. Then she had an idea. Forming more hand seals, she would take away his vision. If he already knows who she is, then making it harder for him to discern which is the real Mitsuha will work in her favor.

She would watch as he would tear through her clones and would eventually hit Crush and her Barrier. It still held out. So she launched her own attack onto Keni, only one had hit him, and made him bleed more. She would switch dances yet again, but this time, would feel her barrier shatter before her and she would take the brunt of the attack, she could feel her arms starting to break. Lashing out with a high leveled attack was only met with a kawiwarmi target. She had to switch her tactics up, as Crush began healing her.

Mitsuha had to switch gears, she had to think of a way to go about this. Drastically covering her body in massive amounts of bone to the point that it seemed to be that of hard bulky armour, she had gotten some room to breath hopefully. But the girl knows that she can't keep this up forver. So she did what any sensible person would do in the midst of combat. She took a deep breath and steadied herself, getting ready for whatever attacks might come her way.

And her way they came. She would see Keni punch the air and flames would come crashing her way. Even while resting, she was wary of any attacks, and while she dodged most, one had found its way past her evasiveness and shot at her bone armor. The young Kaguya would wince in pain, but she would bite her lip and focus her body on healing and restoring energy.

She braced herself as more attacks have come her way, more attacks that left her battered. But she gritted her teeth and braced for more, trying to think nothing else but to force her healing factor to work in overtime to heal the pre-existing injuries that she has endured up to this point. Even now, as both ninja jumped back, Mitsuha had labored breathing. But... She was very well aware of the fact that there were so many people watching this fight. Now, she can't help it, but she would also die of embarrassment to be knocked out if this is all she can really do. Controlling her breathing, she would give Keniwa a determined look, she isn't out yet!

His chakra was running low as Mitsuha still stood strong despite the several blows which he launched her way, her determination lit a fire inside of Keniwa that he'd only really experienced one other time. Despite her originally uncaring attitude he could tell that she was ready to keep on going, now that he had shook the genjutsu off of him in his way stood the Kaguya covered in armour and kept safe by a barrier alongside her trusty contract who had been supporting her inside of the fight. He had to think of a way to end the fight quickly before he completely ran out of chakra, the devastating aura which he was exuding he put to a close as his blazing orange chakra dispersed across the battlefield. Condensing a large amount of chakra in to his fist he would click gloss around scanning the ground below him, wherever the ground would be the most softiest is where he could prepare his bloodline's most powerful strike.

Using his connections with the earth and their tremors as swiftly dashed around a small area, upon finding the perfect place to strike he brought his fist in to the air a splurge of his chakra coursing through as he smashed hand in to the ground, an array of rocks violently flew up from the ground in a cone direction straight towards both Mitsuha and Crush at the same time. This way he could deal with the both of them at the same time, a technique made to shatter through even the strongest of defences. As the barriers broke, dust swept throughout the breeze.

Mitsuha's plan was to make Keni run out of chakra, She planned on- Her face lit up in surprise, not the good type, as the barrier between her and Keni shattered and his fist connected to her face, sending her flying across the battlefield and crashing into the wall far behind her. Her consciousness faded in and out as she tried to pry herself from the wall before falling unconscious.

The dust simmered as Keniwa rushed towards Mitsuha upon seeing her crash in to the wall of the arena, she was clearly unconscious and the fight was over. She looked heavily injured though as she was bleeding and her body felt quite frail to the touch, slowly moving the part of the wall aware from her, protecting her from anymore harm he pried her from the wall taking hold of her. Whilst she appeared knocked out he at least wanted to say a few words to her. "You fought valiantly Mitsuha, you certainly impressed me at many moments, I won't lie to you I almost ran out of chakra. You had me on the ropes." Smiling down at her moments he handed her off to the mednin who ran through the entrance on to the field, holding on to a stretcher. "I'm lucky to have you as a squad member." Was the last thing he'd say to her as she was carried off to receive medical attention.

There the Kyoujouran stood alone in the arena, whilst many members of the village had arrived to come what the twos battle. It hadn't really lasted long at all, with small murmurs echoing throughout the stands, people would slowly begin to stand up and prepare to leave.

Now, up in the air, Take’s eyes closed in on Keniwa’s form in the ring, all by himself after his victory against Mitsuha. Something strange bubbled inside of him, but it felt nothing like the usually Take shenanigans. However, by glancing at his future adversary and opponent, it all became a bit clearer to him.

Keniwa reminded him of how far he’d gotten. From when he received the headband up until now, Take had done what he always feared would never happen. The worthless swordsman had changed. He was no longer hiding away from prying eyes of judgement. He was no longer thirsty for the power to validate himself. His regrets…

The Cursed Seal marking his face and neck told him otherwise. Shame enveloped them after Asuka’s onslaught of a scolding, and yet… power grew inside of him. A truly dark, grim and nausea-inducing aura escaped Take’s body as a blood-red, blackened mist of chakra as the swordsman finally landed on his feet further away from the rock-skinned Taijutsu Specialist.

With his back turned against him, Take turned his face to reveal a reddened eye glaring back at Keniwa. “Aria’s watching, Keniwa… so forgive me,” Take spoke in a shaking tone, “But I’ll fight with all I got. It’s what she wants to see… and it’s what you want to feel.”

A click escaped from his thumb loosening his Ancestral Blade, Shokuin. Blood began to fill the scene in front of him, as if…

As if a mirage, or a blinking illusion, Keniwa would’ve been able to see a taller silhouette of an aura behind Take. A humanoid one, with loose garments of red, long bristled hair, and eyes red as roses. Just for a moment, for a slight instance… Take’s ancestral blood finally spoke on his behalf. It finally woke up from its prolonged slumber and was ready to prove that Take was a true carrier of Nanjirou blood… and spirit.
