Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Sara stared down into the craggy edge, swearing she could see water sloshing below. It must have been at least 500 feet down the ice walls. She continued to look down, seeing the wall of the cave shift and close below, crashing with enough force to cause a current of wind to blow passed her, freezing her small nose, causing her to sneeze. Just like that, the bottom was gone and she pulled away, shivering as she looked around. It had been about an hour since she last saw her companion, Jomei. At least...she thought it had only been that long, as she looked up into the sky seeing the never ending gray that she had seen since entering this mundane kingdom. One couldn't tell the time of day in Kirigakure as the skis were in a perpetual shade of clouds. The only method of time she could perceive was day and night, though she knew when night was getting close as the temperatures dropped. She had plenty of time left till then.

It was morning, she knew this because it was the night before that everything went awry. The storm came like it did every night, but much stronger. They had set up camp, though for naught as it was heaved away with the ease of a child in a tantrum. Sara tried to recollect what happened afterwards, but it was all a blur. She couldn't remember the details, no matter how hard she mustard. She cast the thought aside, now taking note of her predicament. Somewhere, somehow, she ended up where she was, how, she couldn't be sure but she was here now, and she would have to make the best of the situation. She couldn't be to far fro her allies, so she looked around for a place to make a camp and perhaps for something alive. She felt the presence of something, somewhere itching in the back of her mind. She activated her Byakugan, hoping the increased sight range would help in some way. She turned around, a pointless act indeed given she could see all around her from standing still, though it seemed necessary none the less.

The act brought about panic. She held her face, almost coming to tears. It was a hard fight but she broke loose of that thought and focused again, this time harder. Sara breathed in and out deeply, the cold seeping in making it more difficult. She concentrated, the cold fading for a moment and she peered into the distance. She saw nothing, nothing of use within the 1000 or so meters she could see. "Farther.." She tried again, repeating the word to herself, "Farther..." Over and over again. Nothing. Her sight went blank then again the white of the area appeared. Still nothing, but she didn't stop. She needed to find something, some form of life was her main hope, but after a few more seconds, she gave up that hope, again almost to tears. The white, almost endless landscape seemed devoid of any signs of life. Life, there was barely any nonconformity, it all looked exactly alike in every direction. Just a single landmark could be made out in the great distance, seeded by the increased distance she could mustard from her snow colored eyes.

She happened upon a cave. No, that isn't right. It wasn't a cave. It was a crack in the earth. Similar to the one she felt before, but larger, and partially coming out of the ground. It was quite a distance away, but it was protection from the elements, even if partially. It would take some time, but she had nothing but that at her disposal right now. So her trek began across the void-less landscape. That itch came yet again, and she looked around. Nothing, nothing at all she could see. Though, even she knew her eyes could easily be disieved right now. Sara remembered to a few days back about something she was told by one traveling with her.

Memory Sequence....

Again, it was still within the Water Country, so the scene was still a bleached white..everywhere. Though it was a few days ago, day 4 of the marry trip down south. The day before she had become a little unpleasant to be around, and was now in a fowl mood, and easily tipped into lavishing her anger about the trip to this forsaken hell hole of a country. It only had seemed to be getting colder as they traveled further into the country. The snow was slowly becoming more packed, and ice like as of the last mile. It was hard to keep warm up until then, as sloshing through the snow was a difficult and slow going task. Upon hitting the iced area, it was much faster moving, but other difficulties would come from this new gain. The last few days were hellish compared to anything she had gone though back home, and with the lack of wilderness, that was, anything other then the white of the frozen water everywhere for the last day, it was starting to get to the small girl.

Around the end of day one, plant life was all just dried twigs, and fairly lightly dispersed. That was when she started to count them, herself and her compatriot Jomei, to be within the Water Country. It wasn't true of course, they had entered it several days before, but the differences were astonishing between where they had been, where they ended up, and then a short trip into the white void. The white void, the endless winter and lifeless beyond. Snow was plainly visible before, but life bound. This, where she was now, was nothingness. "The Nothing" was only how she could describe it. Green quickly vanished, animals, unseen. Almost like being erased from the world.

This place, it had an eeriness to it she had felt before. A tingling feeling had started not that long ago that she couldn't ignore no matter how hard she tried. What was causing it, what debilitated her focus, she couldn't be sure, but she decided to keep the feeling to herself. After all, why should she bother her friend about such. Maybe he was feeling it as well? Maybe it was just the chill from the cold, still, she trekked on with Jomei, what ever he was after, they were after, she hopped it was more important then living the village behind in the condition it was in. But, at least she was getting the chance to see a new place, even if it was..a dessert in essence.

The first storm was minor that they faced, but it was a new event for her while on a mission, and with only a small tent, a friend instead of her parents, and the lack of her stuffed animal to keep her warm and company. The wind howled, making it difficult to sleep. The movement of the cloth that surrounded her, the small fire warmth, and the berries that barely filled her stomach weren't helping her get much sleep. She was exhausted from the long trek, having to carry so much equipment, given her size, was an ordeal. 'Come out to the coast, we'll go together, have a few laughs.', she thought about what he had said before the start of the trip. She stared at Jomei, some contempt in her eyes. 'Water Country was a beach islands paradise, it will be fun..' "Bologna". She watched as he was soundly asleep. "Pfft, WAS" She kicked him and he stirred awake, and she acted like she was asleep for a moment. He nodded back off quickly and she watched the sides of the tent waver. That continued until she too fell asleep, eventually.

Morning had come, and she heard the sound of something creaking. She looked out to see a white creature going through a bag in the tent and stood up, yelling at it. The dog like thing grabbed some food and took off outside and she jumped to her feet, yelling causing Jomei to groggily get up. "Yo, something just took some of our food." She yelled as she exited the tent as well giving chase. She looked around, seeing the dog like thing running int he distance, she ran towards it, as fast as she could. The ground waved, the creature running down a very small hill. She reached to tip and looked down, unable to see it anymore. She looked carefully around, unable to see where it had gone. Behind her, she could hear Jomei yelling out. She slid down the small hill and stomped around, the snow deep here. "It couldn't have gone to far.. Come on out, I won't hurt you." She continued to look, then activating her Byakugan. For some reason, she, couldn't find it? That didn't make any sense? She looked around moving her head, an unneeded action, but still. IT, what ever it was, was hard to distinguish from the snow, but she saw a very small puff of light. She deactivated the skill and looked, seeing a bare minimum outline. She reached for it and the creature barked and ran away, dropping what it had in it's mouth and jumping into the scenery yet again.

End Memory:

She knew, things out here were not as they appeared. That feeling, she eventually found out was an overwhelmingly odd type of chakra that seemed to seep from the very area all around. The creature, was hard to see because the area was slightly flooded with chakra. The snow itself, having small amounts in it. Or perhaps it was absorbing it? She wasn't to sure but she decided that had to be the reason. And everything, at least what could survive knew how to use it to there advantage. And that feeling, it had grown when she was in that temple and ran into those twins, though it had vanished for a moment, that was when the attack had occurred. She still wasn't to sure what they were. Spirits perhaps? Gods? What ever they were, they had a good amount of control over the area, enough to mask their presence, and to influence those around them somewhat. She was the one that had decided to stop and make camp at that spot in the temple, feeling at ease, a feeling she hadn't felt since coming into this place. A feeling that she knew now to heed, as a warning... Something was out here, somethings were near. And she was sure, something was watching her now..

The sloshing through the snow was tough, taking twice as long to get to the location as it would have on straight and narrow land. The ice turning into snow, a sign of hope perhaps? It meant it wasn't as cold here or rather, it was a steady temperature, and water cascaded from somewhere nearby. She made it to the craggy area and looked up, the ice reaching 50 feet up or so. She cold see the indentation of a cave, but it wasn't very deep as she had originally thought. She looked down, this time seeing a bigger cave. Sara looked back, unsure of the reason why. Something, somewhere, was watching her, she could feel it. But what and from where was unknown to her. Was it evil, or was it on her side? Maybe it was both? It could have been neutral for all she cared, as long as it wasn't ill intentioned right off the back. Sara looked down and jumped, the fall short enough that she was now on a ledge that led into a deeper cave. Cavernous it was , the opening, leading into an area of soundless isolation. The icicles reaching down for the top of the opening, like jaws of a monster. She ventured into the dark. Her eyes took a moment to adjust, it much more brighter then one would have imagined. The light seeming to reflect off the ice, lightning the area enough to allow vision without her increased awareness afforded to her by her chakra infused vision, an unneeded necessity at the moment. The cave grew in size as she ventured further within. She could swear she could see light on the other end of the tunnel, but it seemed to bend as she moved to the edges of the cave. It didn't seem straight, the cave looking to curve, but light seeming to be on the other end, why? She couldn't grasp the reason, taking a break for a moment to catch her breath and warm up. Her breath seeming to become smoke as it exited her mouth, though it hung in the air, wisping and churning as she let it out. It wasn't being disturbed by another source, but of her own breath, the motionless and silence of this cave, she could hear her own breathing now echo from the walls.

It was still cold, but it felt warmer, something she would have understood greater if she knew how the icicles from the ceiling, and ground were formed all around her. If she searched long enough, she might even find a lake within this ice fortress. She just didn't understand such though, a tear forming on her face and falling to the ground. She couldn't help it, the sadness of the stillness she could afford overtook her at that moment. Thoughts in the back of her mind warping her need to continue. She was safe for the moment, most likely, affording her thoughts to venture into the background of her subconscious. She regretted coming to the icy hell. She thought venturing to the unknown wilderness that was the world would be nothing but fun, playing, new animals, friends, lakes to swim in, sights to see, and every other good humored ideal that was always floating around such thoughts. But, her first adventure didn't turn out as such. Well, in part. This world was tough, cruel, and unyielding, but she had managed so far. She had seen things that most others might never see, the odd beings of this place were unique in some light. But it was still harsh so far, and being alone, brought those thoughts forward. The light dimmed as she thought such thoughts for a time of unknown duration. By the time she snapped out of it, the light dimmed greatly, but still she could see a short distance. She got herself up, whipping the cold, slightly now like water on her face off and ventured deeper into the cave, trying to find what the light that she could see at the end of the tunnel ahead might be.

Time passed as she continued on, her stomach growled some, fighting that feeling off as well, to what avail that would be. She would have to make camp soon, but for now, the light seemed to be more important to her for some reason. She had tried to activate her Byakugan some time ago, but the sight afforded nothing. The room bent, the light bent, everything was not linear. She traveled, what felt straight, and yet curvy. She looked back again, feeling something behind, but only hearing her own breathing. She would come to the light soon enough, whatever it might have been.

Light would seem to begin to trickle down from the ceiling. As if luminescent snow flakes would appear from the cave's walls. Settle light began to creep from the frozen walls themselves. The stalagmites and stalactites become more and more crystalline in structure. Though the amount of ice would increase the temperature seemed to actually increase. The light coming from the end of the cave would begin to emit a warm sensation. Like a blanket or veil the light was opaque in nature and seemed to be fluid in design. The light would dart towards Sara engulfing her in this sensation and taking her to a place that may be somewhere she may never have dreamed of.

The new environment would be that of a mountainous frozen expanse. Coniferous trees were coated in ice far and in between. As Sara would begin to see the new location in which she was in she would get a feeling of stronger energy. The energy in this area created a slightly stronger downward pull towards the earch. As if the gravity itself was different. Then something odd happened. A small leopard would land beside her. With a loud growl the seemingly confident cat would pase in front of her. "How did you get here human?"<i></i>

OoC: Sorry for the delay. RL sucked for a bit, but I should be good now :)

Was Sara hallucinating? The travels were long, and harsh, but she didn't think that she was that exhausted, though, whom ever did. She thought for a moment, thinking that perhaps she was going crazy, that it was all in her head. Warmth? Maybe she was loosing consciousness? People did say they would see bright lights sometimes before such happened. Maybe aliens! A host of thoughts passed through her little exhausted mind, right until she found herself in a new place. A place with....trees? Well, there was still snow, so maybe she was...no. That wasn't right, she hadn't seen a tree for ages. The alien possibilities were growing....

Her feet gave out below her, and she fell to the ground, kneeling. She pushed against the ground, but found it difficult to stand upright. Something was different here, where the hell was she? At that moment, a creature landed next to her. It was a cute and cuddly, rather large, but still cute kitty. It roared, and spoke. Yep, she was abducted. Either that or she had gone insane..

Though, she was up to accepting either possibility, as long as she got to pet the kitty. She again pushed against the ground, and reached for the kitty, but was unable. The cat, at her current stature, was about the same size as her. She looked up at the cat and responded. "Where is here? And, I don't know?" She looked around, and activated her eyes. This placed looked differently. She again looked at the kitty, and tilted her head. She had a plan..."Any help would be appreciated."

Note: Also, a thin veil of her radiation chakra is still in place. This was due to the environment of Kiri. So her weapons (rings) are also on.

This human was trying to stand but couldn’t. Was she too weak to even do what infants could? A trickle of her tail would bring fur to stand up on its ends. What was it doing here? This was not going to bode well with the others, but perhaps she could fix this little problem herself. She was the brightest after all. With a few steps towards the human the snow leopard bared her teeth slightly, what were her plans? Asking about this place as if she didn’t come here on purpose, this human was clever, but not clever enough. ”As if I would give you any information spy…”

The large cat would jump back and onto a nearby rock. Her hair still standing on end and a slight hiss could have been heard under her breath as she spoke to the human. Revealing its claws the feline would lower its face and raise its rear as if readying to pounce. ”Tell me your story and I may decide to let you live!”<i></i> This cat had claws and she knew exactly how to use them too.

The kitty was being a little mean, baring it's teeth, and hair standing on end, being threatening. She, it sounded like a she, Sara hadn't inspected the kitty fully to know for sure, but it sounded like it. For...the first cat that she ever heard, of course. She was angry about something, and was now accusing Sara of being a spy and wanting information. Hissing at her and looking like it was ready to attack, Sara of course had a perfect defense for an attack, but still made no move to change the position she was in, her hands pushing off the ground to try and get some balance, now kneeling in the snow, which wasn't as cold as the Water Country.

The kitty wanted to know her story, and she saw no reason to hide anything. "I am from a, well, not from here I think. A place of..rock... I am from the Earth country. I was visiting, a place called Kirigakure. A very cold and frozen place. I got separated from my friend after meeting this Kami named Or...um. Ouraka I think. Well I had helped her then went to look for my friend and got lost. I thought I found my friend, but lost him again. A storm was coming so I went to hide in a cave and..and after a while I ended up here. At least...I think that was what happened?"
Yep, that summed up her story. In a confused and unsure manner, she felt that most of that was right on. Sara was weak from the travels, the cold, and the hopelessness of being lost and alone. And now, she was pretty sure she was either dead, dieing, or hallucinating. Her eyes felt heavy but she knew better. She was regaining some warmth, do to the environment being warmer, and her use of chakra to help with the bundle of clothing she was in. "Please, something to eat would be appreciated." The young 8 year old tiny girl pleaded. "I, am not very meaty and..." Sara thought,"I would be more useful to you as help."

Was this girl an imbecile? If she truthfully did not know where she was, or how she got there -- assuming that none of this was a lie, and she really is a lost little.. thing -- then how on earth did she survive the frozen wasteland she spoke of? "Who was this friend of yours? Or more importantly... What was this friend of yours?"There was simply too much of a risk taking this thing in without more information, their enemies were too clever for her to let anyone unknown into their home. "This is the final question that will determine whether you live or die, child, speak carefully." The cat would slowly approach Sara, slightly baring her teeth to intimidate the child if she truly was a spy.

The beast's actions would be decided by the answer given, if she could sense any lies in the words spoken, she would kill the girl without hesitation. Should there be some truth to it, no matter how uncertain, there may be a chance that the girl could be trusted. Or perhaps even.. Used.
OOC: Sorry for the short post to start, just a bit difficult to pick it up from here. I do have a plan in mind though, so rest assured that there will be better quotes in the future!

"Jomei...and. Ummm." Well, the second question wasn't completely odd she thought after reflecting on it for a moment after saying the words, "Human? What els..." She was talking to a...she was having a conversation with a kitty. Nothing more could be much more abnormal that that. Who knows what the kitty meant by that given where she was? Sara grimaced as she answered, the cat had continued it's mean streak, and she was slowly getting irritated by it. Baring it's teeth and growling to get answers from here were unneeded. She was most certainly dreaming, and apparently her imagination wanted her to be treated meanly by a fluffy animal. Why? That was kinda messed up. Most of her dreams were similar, except the snow part, and a, mean being exception, talking animal. Well, there was that one dream....

Sara tried to push off the ground slightly to see where she stood on that ground again, but was still unable She was just able to hold herself up in the current position she was in. Laying with her front facing the animal. She was getting warmer, and that was certainly helping, she could feel it, but she was famished beyond belief. And thirsty. Something to eat would help warm her greatly. That was another oddity of this dream. Sara looked up at the sky, half expecting cupcakes to start raining down. But to no avail, this dream wasn't very good, which is why she still wasn't to sure between the realness of this moment, and the fantasy. She looked back at the kitty, ready to blast it away if it really did try to attack her. "Do....do you have anything I can drink or eat..um cooked nearby? Please?" Her eyes grew heavy again and she forced them back open. She couldn't let her guard down just yet around the kitty.

It was a relief to hear that the girl's friend was also a human, and that the answer given seemed to be sincere. The leopard stopped baring her fangs as she slowly approached the girl once more, listening to her request for food. It was certainly doable, but the likelihood of it being cooked was slim to none.

"I don't think you understand who you're speaking to, girl, I have no need for cooked food." The feline would stare at the child for a moment, now beginning to wonder why Sara was still sitting in the snow. It had to be cold, so why would she choose to stay there? "Come, hasn't anyone taught you how to stand? I'm not entirely familiar with how humans work, but you don't appear to be an infant." If the girl remained seated, the cat would lift Sara by her clothing with her mouth, and place the shinobi on her back with a slight sigh. If she did manage to stand, she would motion for Sara to seat herself on her back.

"We'll see what we can do about food, but water should be easy. I need you to hold on tight, you know how to hold things right?" She said in a completely serious tone, the feline had no clue what the girl was capable of if she didn't even know how to stand on her own. Once she was prepared, the leopard would leap off the cliff that they were next to. She would keep a calm demeanor, even as she saw the ground rapidly approaching them, and just before they hit the ground, the two would suddenly slow down as Sara could literally feel a weight come off of her shoulders. As the cat's paws touched the snow once more, however, that weight would return as the two proceeded to run through a forest a blinding speeds.

"I will be taking you to our base of operations, but if it turns out that you truly are a spy, it won't just be me ripping you limb from limb..." With that warning out of the way, the cat used a bit of a happier tone of voice, "Now, I believe introductions are in order. My name is Mofubuki, and as I'm sure you can tell, I am a snow leopard. And you, child?" As they spoke, trees, rocks, and snow drifts flew by them. Mofu would occasionally leap up or over hills in their way, or dodge around trees, and the speed they were going might make it difficult for someone not used to going so fast to speak.

Raw food wasn't that appetizing sounding to her. Though she could cook it herself if need be. Sara was about to speak as the kitty cut in, telling her to stand. It was spoken in a odd tone, and then almost rude to an extent. Sara tried again to push off the ground but it something was keeping her down. "I think I might be to weak from hunger to stand? Or thirst?" The cat pulled at her snow dress, causing it to rip slightly. She was now holding onto the back of the cat, her legs feeling like they could give out at any moment. Some of the cats fur wilted and blackened and Sara lowered the field that surrounded her. The cold hit her at that moment, still nothing compared to before, but a reminder to where she was. "Or perhaps I am to cold as well." Sara gave a slight laugh, though obviously it was more of a laugh from being in such an uncomfortable setting.

The kitty motioned for her to get on her back and Sara pulled herself then jumped, clasping down on the fir to keep from falling. It's warm fur helping greatly. Sara rubbed her face on it's back as it told her to hold tight and she looked up and went into more of a sitting position then laying, and petted the cute white kitty. "I will try to hold tight." She continued to pet the cat, almost like her hand was possessed. Sara realized it and then looked at the cats fur. She murmured barely audible, though certainly enough for the close proximity and the cats giant ears to hear, "So pretty...and soft." The cat was off, and Sara grabbed harder onto the fir. The movements of the beast were swift and agile. The cold air rushing passed caused her to hold her body closer to the cat, then it jumped off a cliff, falling downwards. Sara could feel herself slip momentarily and she held even tighter. The impact almost seemed negligible. The kitty didn't miss a stride.

After a great distance was covered, the cat spoke again. Sara was being taken to the base of operations. She pictured a small village of cats and kittens hopping about happily. Almost not hearing the spy and limb from limb part. Then she introduced herself. The cat almost made it sound like she should know what a snow leopard was. "A snow leopard? Is? Oh." She held on again as the cat slipped around some trees at incredible speeds. "Hi, my name is, wha...My name is, whoa. My name is whew...My name is, Yaku Sara." It was hard to get a word in edge wise. She almost made it sound like she was a snow leopard, it being hard to tell it was a question being asked.

This child didn't even understand what a snow leopard was.. Her idea was beginning to backfire, and things were going to feel more like babysitting than war real soon. "Well, Yakusara, think of a big cat. For example... A lion, you know what lions are right? Or tigers? We are all felines." The feline explained, continuing to run as quickly as possible. After another few minutes of the beast's long strides, she began to slow down, and eventually come to a stop in front of what looked like a large boulder.

"This is the place. Now, I need you to walk on your own child, it's the only way the others will be able to believe you can be of any use." Mofu stated, waiting for Sara to remove herself from the cat's back. Once she did, Mofu would approach the boulder and look back. "Just follow me, and try not to stop until I do." She said, taking another step toward the boulder's rocky surface. When it seemed like her paw should hit it, it instead passed right through, followed by the rest of her as she continued forward. Once, and if, Sara decided to follow, she would see that this boulder led to a large cave, which was illuminated by crystals on the ceiling. These crystals stretched all the way to the surface, allowing the light from outside to pass through it, and intensify as it did. Inside, there were many artificial rock tables which had various piles of straw, sticks, fur, and anything else that could be used as a cushion. Already, there were cats of different species resting, wounded, or gathering around these tables. Some glared at the child as they passed, while others were too focused to even notice her.

"This is where we are based, as you can see, the snow leopard is not the only species of cat you'll find in our army." Mofu said as she continued to walk forward. In the center of the cave, there was a large structure that was clearly made with some form of earth jutsu, which is exactly where the leopard was leading Sara. There was no hesitation for the cat to enter, as she was slowly becoming impatient, and it was much darker on the inside.

Here, they found a large white panther - easily triple the size of Mofubuki - who was lying down on the opposite end of the structure.
vzzhtt.jpg

This massive beast opened its large blue eyes, observing the two creatures that entered its domain, before speaking in a deep and commanding tone. "I sensed two new presences as you approached the cave, Mofubuki-san, but I didn't expect you to bring back such a lowly human. What is the meaning of this?" It was obvious by the cat's voice that he was male, and wouldn't be taking silence as an acceptable response to his question.

"I'm sorry, General Mauntenrura, I found this child during my patrols." The leopard bowed her had as she spoke, avoiding any eye contact with the beast before her. Compared to the tone she used with Sara, this one was far more submissive.

"And you didn't just kill her? I know I gave explicit orders to kill any non-felines on sight!" Maunten boomed, his brow furrowing slightly as he bared his fangs.

"I know, I know, but she has not yet made contact with.. Them. I believe that, if we washed away our scent, we could use her to infiltrate their base and gather the information we've been needing!" The panther's clearly became calmer after this suggestion.

"Hmmm... Very well, I will entertain this idea of yours. I've had enough of losing our own trying to get into their damned hideout, I suppose sending a human wouldn't hurt anything. Nothing lost, nothing gained after all... Go then, Mofubuki, prove to me that bringing this child into our base won't jeopardize our mission here." With that, Mofu nodded her head and quickly exited the rocky structure, motioning for Sara to follow.

"We will be washing you with snow once we're close enough to our destination, and before you say anything about not wanting to do this, know that this is your only chance of survival now... Should you fail us and return, attempt to betray us, or simply refuse to obey us, I am to kill you immediately. I will explain what you must do on the way, and if you return alive, and aid us until the end of our mission, I'm sure you will not only be given a reward, but a way home." Just as she finished this explanation, the two would arrive back at the boulder, which could be seen through on the inside - much like a one way mirror. Mofu would exit the cave and await any questions Sara might have before they began walking.

"Felines? Um...so kitties? Your a kitty?" Was her response to her statement about big cats. Felines was a rather large word for her to contemplate, and having known kittens and cats as kitties, she connected the two references as the same. Similar in manner as to how the kitty thought her name was of one large word, almost making it sound like a name for a dinosaur or something. "My name is....you can just call me Yaku big kitty."

Soon enough the snow leopard stopped and they apparently arrived at their destination. She told Sara to get off and walk on her own to hold a ruse or to prove that she would be of use. "Use to whom?" 'What did the kitty have planned for her? And would it involve food of some sort.' Sara stumbled on her first few steps and tried to get her footing again. Rest and food and drink were what she was in need of most at this moment. The kitty looked back and told her to keep up and don't stop, a warning perhaps for a reason beyond her understanding. No one was around. That was when the cat walked into the boulder, half of her body vanishing. "Um...okay, that is a first?" She continued forward, almost grabbing at the kitties tail as she put her hands up and 'pushed' at the rock almost falling through it.

On the other side, was a site to behold. The ceiling glowed, as if lite by an unknown power source. The cats were capable of making electricity? Did all cats have this knowledge and ability? As she looked up, seeing the large glowing crystals she soon enough looked around her. Large rock like tables with cloths and various materials sat upon them. Then she saw the other cats. Some smaller, some much larger then the one before her. Plenty acted like cats in the city, ignoring her presence, some, 'was that blood?' Others...bigger others, were tracking her movement. 'Maybe they are hungry....oh' She kept her eyes on her companion and followed closer then before. Movement in the cave was easier, and less frigid then outside. But it was still difficult.

The kitty led her to a large odd structure in the center of the cave. As she entered, an even bigger kitty was within, white and quite the site. The thoughts of if this could be a trap passed through her thoughts, then it spoke. Mofubuki, the name of the smaller kitty she traveled with? And...lowly human. Was that her? If she had the energy, she might have thought about saying something, but at the moment, she decided it wouldn't be worth any form of effort. The big kitties voice booming and deep, much different from Mofubuki. In response to his speaking, she acted much differently and upon giving a response, seemed less stern.

The big kitties response bothered her much more so then the lowly human one. Saying to kill her before, and seeming angry enough to do so now. Sara was just about to speak until Mofubuki did so, trying to defend her actions. 'Them? Whom is..them?' The bigger kitty gave the marching orders and the small kitty pushed for her to leave the room and follow. They moved towards the exit, and Sara was sure she had forgotten the one thing the girl needed. "Please, could we eat before...um actually. Could we grab something and eat along the way..please!?" It might be a bad idea to eat in the cave. The cats might get bad ideas. And even more likely, the food was going to be raw....not very appetizing. Or at the best case, some form of dry pellets. She could cook it along the way though. "And some water.", she finished with immediately after her last statement.

It seemed she'd forgotten the child was hungry... But what could she possibly give her that wasn't raw? And what would she even have time to eat either on the way, or quickly enough so they don't arrive late to their destination?

The beast let out a sigh, "I'll explain why that may be more complicated than you may think... You see, under normal circumstances, I would be able to create some kind of food for you by using my abilities. However, this place restricts the use of chakra." She explained, "It's a form of purgatory - in between our realm and our foes'. So not only will I not be able to get you something without hunting, but you would not be able to cook it quickly. Assuming you're even a 'shinobi' or whatever you humans call them." With that said, the cat looked off through the trees, scanning the environment to be sure there were no spies in the vicinity. A habit formed since the beginning of this war.

"I do know that water is essential for all living beings however, so I suggest you simply melt snow in your hands and drink that." Mofu would wait for a moment to give Sara time to do what she needed, before taking several steps forward and motioning for the girl to follow with her head. The two would walk for some time in silence, until the leopard looked at her companion. "We will be walking for now to ensure you understand what I'm about to explain, we cannot allow any failure on this mission, understood?" Once the girl answered, she would continue, "Now... Yaku.. Big Kitty," Mofu sounded extremely uncomfortable calling the child this, but she always strived to be polite to her allies, "Your mission will be to infiltrate our enemy's base and give us a detailed description of their defenses, plans, and troops. Any false information could mean the death of our army, and in turn the death of you. So I suggest you don't try to make anything up when you report in. Upon arrival, I will take cover in the snow and wait for you to exit, then we will return to our base and prepare for the final assault." The creature would allow the girl a moment to commit everything to memory before stopping and crouching down for the girl to climb onto her back once more.

"Shall we, Yaku Big Kitty?" Once she was mounted, they would take off at great speeds once more. After a few seconds, Mofubuki would continue talking, "I suppose now is as good a time as any to tell you who exactly our enemy is... But do not be too surprised." She would pause for a moment, for dramatic effect, "The canines... We've had disputes for far too long, and push finally came to shove. So here we are, several months into one of the largest wars I've seen. But you may be our only chance to end the war early, so... I suppose I'll just have to put my faith in you." The cat was trying to communicate that she was beginning to respect the child's "willingness" to help, but it likely came across more hostile than anything.

Purrgatory? Was that some kind of kitty thing? She wasn't sure what it meant but he said something about not being able to use chakra. So...kitties can use chakra too then. She was learning a lot, and one of the things was she wasn't going to have much of a chance to eat. This...wasn't good..not at all. She stumbled a little as they walked, it was a little difficult to keep up the pace. Then he said something about melting the snow. She hadn't thought of that. Actually, she forgot that this white stuff was water, or could be melted. The differences of where she had been to where here was. In Kirigakure area, the white stuff wasn't snow, but some form of...air or something. It made it easier to breath she knew that. But what was around her now, was water. She scoped some up and it melted quite quickly in her hands from the radiation she was generating. She drank it quickly and it was warm. She dropped what was left and repeated it, trying to drink it quickly before it got to hot. "Well, that elps a grittle." She poured some more in her mouth as she spoke, muffling the words.

She kept repeating this for a while as they walked, now putting some of the water in a canteen. He started to speak of a mission while she worked on this and she muttered, "Ya mission, I am listening." She heard her name and missed the next few words. Once the words mission were said, she listened a little more. This was from pure practice in class, the academy taught her that lesson after the first few times she missed what the class objective was about since the teachers liked to ramble pointlessly.

Infiltration; description of defenses, plans and troops. the rest seemed trivial to her. When she finished, the kitty would be waiting at an exit, which was probably the entrance, hopefully? When she finished with her canteen she paid more attention as they walked, then the kitty said her name again, though added something to the end. "Awww, you consider me to be one of you. That is so cute.", she uttered the words softly as her face softened and she saw the kitty in the less grimacing light she had seen her before. The kitty continued and was now going to tell her whom the enemy the was.

'Wait wait wait, let me guess.' The thoughts poured from her mind of something so basic and known about to any child. The picture in her head so basic. Surprise, that was one way to put it. "Doggies!" 'Doggies were the enemy. That was a little to basic.' She let out a small giggle like expression in her words but pulled it back as fast as she could when she said the words. It was funny, horribly so. And trying to hold in the laughter was hard enough. 'I don't want to insult my...companion'. Another burst tried to come forth. She continued to listen as the kitties words became more dreary and harsh, though she couldn't help thinking it sounded like some 'tall tale'.

"You know...I have pretty good vision. I could do most of this mission from outside their base. If their is any parts overlooking their camp from a mile away." She inserted into the conversation after a short silence. Though, if their camp was anything like the kitties, it wouldn't do much good.

Mofu was a tad confused at the girl's comment, she did not consider her "one of their own," she was simply calling Sara by her preferred title. For now though, there would be no point in trying to explain what she really meant by that name, as there was no time.

Upon arriving at the camp, and explaining what the girl was supposed to do, she listened to the child's suggestion. However, they were already aware of their main defense.

"That would be a good idea, if the canine scum hadn't chosen a cave as their base of operations as well. Believe me, if we had any chance to examine their defenses ourselves without the risk, we would have long ago. This is why we now have you, however." The leopard said, her mouth forming what could have been a smile. "Now, off with you. We're wasting valuable daylight, and neither of us want to be stuck out here at night. That's when they hunt..." Mofubuki would nudge Sara with her paw, obviously stressed by their lack of time to complete the operation, and their reliance on a human child to do it.

"Ah, one more thing. We can't have the enemy smelling you, so you'll have to roll in the snow to get our scent off of you." She would explain, preparing to shove the girl to the ground if she didn't comply. They were up wind of the cave entrance, but inside there would be no wind to mask her presence.

Once Sara decided to leave the company of the leopard - hopefully being wise enough to leave when told - she would be pointed in the direction of the mouth of a large cave. The only visible defenses were two large canine, both being wolves if the child chose to look closer. Anything deeper than the entrance to this cave was virtually impossible to see, as the outside light only intensified the shadows within. There were likely many ways the child could approach this situation, but which would she choose?

So, it was a cave as well. That would complicate things greatly. She was pushed from behind to get going, then Mofu told her to play in the snow. Sara looked at her and said, "Don't worry about scent, everything that I touch burns away a little. Sara increased her chakra for a moment and the aura that was mostly hidden broke out again, causing the snow around her to crackle. The radiation was strong enough do such thanks to her rings, and concentrated enough to not fry everything else around her with poisoning, if she didn't want it to. But a new problem presented itself. She walked ahead some and then back at the kitty and went ahead again. As she walked, she saw some berries and ran over to them, munching down on them with gusto. Though the entire time she thought about nothing more then how good they were. After she ate three handfuls, she looked back and swear she saw Mofu and stopped.

How was she going to go about for this? She could walk into their camp, and say she was captured by the kitties. Though she would have to get away from them eventually. And that might prove difficult. She could give them false information, and then tell them she will do the same. Though, she remembered hearing that dogs can smell when your lying. Even worse, she would have to get out when they weren't guarding the entrance, which would be unlikely to happen. Then her thought wandered for a moment to those berries but she shook her head, and again focused on the task. She would have to pray to the gods for...well, actually. That might be an option? Though, the implications. If their was a wolf god, and she asked it for help, it would be to betray their fellow dogs...and, that wouldn't be right? Would it?

She would have to do it, maybe she could even end the war, that would be the only good option she could think of. So she clasped her hands together, and started to basically ask that goddess she had ran into in the icy village of Kirigakure to send her help for the situation. She weaved a few handsigns and placed her hand on the ground and a puff of smoke blew up in her face. As it cleared, near by she could barely make out the lines of something with red on it. The majestic creature seemed to vanish into the snow backdrop, the red being the only clue to her something was there. The wolf walked towards Sara and she backed up a little. She spoke in a deep yet soothing voice, and Sara stopped. "Greetings child, you asked for help?" Sara looked around, avoiding eye contact and the wolf came closer, rubbing against her. "It's alright, I am not here to hurt you. I answered your call, what do you need small one?" Sara still avoided speaking, the wolfs head alone was bigger then she. She spoke with choppiness in her voice, fear probably melting off of her. "I...I...Nea na need your help to stop a wa wa war." Sara breathed in deeply. "I need your help. To stop a war between some dogs and kitties." The wolf looked at her then walked away and turned to face her. "A war? That is a mighty task you ask. I will try to help you as I can." The wolf again walked next to her rubbing against her then nudged her ahead. "Lead the way." Sara slowly started to move towards where she was pointed to originally for the entrance to the cave.
