Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Ziren was early for the start of his and Soku's punishment. They had to serve food in the mess, and probably have to clean it up as well.

He sighed, what brought him to this predicament, one might ask. Well, it all started when his brother wanted to kill him, and that was when everything escalated from bad, to worst, to ridiculously worst. Some say that it has gotten out of hand, but Ziren was determined. He wants to train to become even stronger, so that he can kill his brother, to protect the Leaf. To stop having everyone doubt him so much about everything.

Ziren waited for Soku to show up.

There was a crackling of lightning and the Santaru phased into existence, a apprenshive look on her face as she wondered how on earth she had ended up from being a ANBU serving breakfast in the Hokage Mansion. The very thought was a insult to her memory. Making her way inside, she caught sight of Ziren trekking over to join him."Ready to get this over with?"She asked looking up at the tall Chigokai. Before any of them could muster a reply, the doors to the kitchen swung open with a clang and a short, chubby man trod out to meet him wearing a chef hat and apron and his expression spelled anger."HEY YOU TWO! WE HAVE NOT GOT ALL DAY! GET IN HERE! COME ON, COME ON, COME ON!"He said waving a spatula at them gesturing them towards the kitchen.

"Yeah..yeah, we're coming, old man."Soku muttered to herself as she began to move but unfortunately, the chef was close enough to her and gave her a hard tap on the head with the spatula."YOU ARE HERE BECAUSE THE SENNIN SENT YOU. I DO NOT EXPECT ANY CHEEK FROM ANY OF YOU. AM I UNDERSTOOD? GOOD! NOW GET IN THERE BEFORE I LOSE MY PATIENCE!!'Soku glowering at the man trod towards the kitchen whillst going over the best ways to run a sword through this joker's chest but unfortunately for her, her blade had been left at home. If she had known she would be dealing with a man like this, maybe she would have brought it along.

Ziren was more or less tame with all that was going on. He was more or less used to the kind if anger that was calm in demeanor, the worst kind of anger. In which all they need to do is let their chakra fill the room to get their point across.

The cooks however, think that by being loud and rambunctious could mean that they think that Ziren and Soku are below them, considering their lack of respect.

Soku, on the other hand was having none of it. He smiled, she might get angry quickly, but not a lot of people have seen Ziren himself get angry. And that would be a bad day for everyone. He remembered the last time something like that had happened, it was when he decided to do a tutoring session with Maru that really made him at his worst, bringing up an evil persona, which Ziren has gotten rid of.

Ziren has learned to hide away his own emotions for the longest of times. Especially his anger. Ziren did as the cooks told him to do, ignored their useless insults and cleaned up the most hardest to reach places.

Next up, they had him cook on the grill various food items, yelling and whatnot, but this he also ignored. All that was running in his mind was how he was going to kill his brother. His own set of rage building up, only to wait to unleash it on to his brother the first chance he gets.

The chef introduced her to the fryer machines which were rusted and dirty with grease and some sort of black liquid. Motioning to her to stay with his infamous spatula of doom, he barked at Ziren to move and disappeared into a closet reappearing a few moments later dragging a bucket full of cleaning sprays and chemicals and a wet rag draped across his shoulder which he thrust at Soku."Here you go.
These are the chemicals you need. I want this fryer spotless by the end of morning service. I'll be back to check on you so get to scrubbing.!
With a glare, he trod away muttering under his breath about kids.

Swearing inwardly, she doused the rag in the spray chemical and began to wipe the inside of the fryer. Some of the moisture from the rag splashed into the grease below causing it to spill over her hand and Soku drew back letting loose a vulgar term feeling the burning sensation as her hand turned crimson red."Agh!"It wasn't a major burn but it was enough to draw the attention of Mr. Spatula who was looming over them like a watchful parent."Be careful!! I am not responsible if you get hurt, girl! Man up and keep at it."Soku bit back a retort on the verge of snapping and cradling her burnt hand washed it under a sink before wrapping it in a rag and went back to her task using her still one good hand.

The chef then went to check on Ziren and how he was doing on the grilled food items. Picking up a grilled piece of meat, he sliced off a bit and revealed the pink raw flesh inside and Thrust it at the Chigokai."Its... RAW! YOU COULD HAVE KILL ED SOMEBODY YOU BIG SACK OF ROCKS! REFRY IT AGAIN!"The chef barked tossing the meat into a waste bin and shaking his head, he went to pull out a clipboard with a sheet on it."Listen up! The breakfast service starts in 10 minutes and all this food better be ready. We have some important guests coming to the Hokage Mansion today so you two better get it together."He said glaring at the two ANBU before disappearing beyond the kitchen doors leaving the duo alone for a moment.

Ziren sighed. It was obvious that the food wasn't done, the cook had cut into the meat while it was still on the grill. But it was whatever. He made some hand seals and three more Ziren's poofed into existence.

Without even pausing, he gave the cook a look. "Don't even bother trying berate me. I'm doing you a favor by speeding up the process."

He turned to Soku, just as the cook left. He was used to being punished for his troubles, but she doesn't seem to be fairing too well. He didn't need to hear her blood to know that she is very much angry. He sighed, "Just ignore them. Make some clones. Speed up the process."

He wondered how she can get so angry so quickly, over things that seem small. Ziren will never understand. Sure nobody likes being yelled at but he guess that is part if life of someone who wasn't a ninja, instead of fighting with chakra and insane powers, they fight with normal fists and yelling. Then again, Ziren has had pent up anger from everything that has been happening to him, even though he has kept a very tight lid on such a case, it could blow any second if he was angered.

"Look on the bright side. At least nobody is trying to kill us."

She nodded too tensed up to speak and made a hand signs and sure enough, two Elemental Clones popped into existence and got to work scrubbing the fryer. The process was much faster and most of the grease was mostly off by now. "I thought cooks were supposed to be quieter than this behemoth."She added to Ziren referring to the chef who had been yelling at them. Suddenly, there was a clang as the kitchen bell sounded to signal the start of the breakfast service and instantly everyone jumped into action rushing here and there shoving one another aside to get to their stations.

The chef bustled back in waving a sheet which had the first few orders on it."OK! LISTEN UP! FIRST ORDER IS FOR A COUPLE OF ANBU SO DO NOT MESS UP. ORDER IS....5 SCRAMBLED EGGS AND 2 BANANA MILKSHAKES!"Barking out the orders, the chef bustled over to the drinks station and plopped down some bananas and begin hacking away at them with incredible speed chucking them into the milkshake machine with expert skill. Soku moved to the egg cooker cracking open some round eggs and beginning to work on the scrambled eggs while one of her clones moved next to Ziren to help him on the meat portions of the order.

The Santaru found it almost laughable that she, a ANBU was having to cook for fellow ANBU shinobi but this was not the time to argue."I think I've found my new calling."Soku said jokingly trying to make some ease out of the situation as she finished her final scrambled eggs cooked perfectly ass she deposited it onto the plate. Even the chef was momentarily stumped for a bit raising a eyebrow in surprise before barking at Ziren to hurry up as he prepared to take out the plates looming over the Chigokai watching his every move on the grill.

Cooking was easy. Especially when it came to the meats. All Ziren had to do was like to the blood, until there was no more. He wondered why he never cooked at home. Oh yeah, it's because he is almost never home to cook. Always had to go out to eat when he just gets back from a mission.

Now he knows what it feels like to be a cook behind the counter making everyone's food. He was sweating, not because it was hard and taking energy out. Moreso because it is hot as hell back here! He burnt himself a few times, but his healing factor kicks in to fix up those small mishaps.

Soon, it was lunch time. Huh, Ziren thought, has that much time has passed? He didn't know. But he laughed at what Soku had said.
"Not as exciting as almost being killed on a daily basis. But it really is good on passing time."

He did a few tricks with the food and spatulas, throwing the food up and it landing back on the grill in perfect condition, he had to say. His training for getting ready to kill his brother has made him an adept cook.

The orders were being pumped out in quick succession and all seemed to be going well. Nothing came back to the kitchen and the people seemed to be enjoying the food. The head chef bustled back into the kitchen and the entire staff fell silent waiting for him to speak as his eyes landed on each of them, a warmth in them and for the first time since arriving, a smile broke out on his face and he spoke in a normal tone."Good job, all of you. The guests marveled at the food. As you both probably realized ,
we have two newcomers who were cooking with us today and they performed well beyond my standards."
He turned to them a warmth in his eyes as he offered a hand to them as the kitchen staff clapped."Do not take my yelling at you as a insult. I am not trying to intimidate you. The kitchen is usually in a rush during meal service so things must be done in quick succession. You performed well. You are free to help with the second round of meal service if you desire or leave. Your punishment is not over yet however, you have one week assigned for breakfast service so report back here tommrow morning 5 am sharp."

Soku nodded feeling a sense of pride come to her chest. She shook the chefs hand taking in his rough facial features and the black mustache that dropped down to his lips. "Thank you for the praise but it was not our doing alone. We worked as a team."She said smiling gesturing to the the people around. The chubby cook looked at her for a second before erupting into a bellowing fit of laughter."You ANBU really are something! They train you well, eh? You have a good head on your shoulders, young lady and you as well, boy."He said motioning to Ziren as there was a clang indicating the start of the lunch service.

Ziren nodded. This was sure a piece of cake. Just cooking and all this and that was easy. Just a bit hot back here with the grills.

"I'll stay for one more round. Got nothing else planned for today." Ziren said. They knocked out more food orders that came their way, it was a busy day indeed. And by the time they were done, it was night outside. How they worked the day away.

Ziren smiled at everyone. Even though he had a lot on his mind, it was nice to have something to just release the tension without hitting anything.

But surprisingly he was tired. Ready to go to bed early tonight. He stifled a yawn, patted Soku on her head, and said, "It's been a great day. Until tomorrow comes," With that said, Ziren walked out, waving back to everyone.
