Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Walking through the forest Yukio found peace in leaving the inner village for the first time in a long time taking a moment to admire the nature around him letting a soft breeze brush through his ivory mane finding a suitable tree before taking a moment to climb it letting his gaze be cast out over the lake he'd found in his early years in the ANBU branch, This would not be a simple leisurely stroll however for the man had called his old student to meet him here and take a moment to catch up, tell a few tales of the past and look to the future.

With Soku's rise to ANBU captain he technically couldn't call her student anymore they were equals in the eyes of the branch and as far as the Hyuuga was concerned she had been a prodigal student for him rising up the ranks in both power and stature faster than he could have ever predicted. Letting a leg hang loosely from off the side of the branch his eyes set on the glistening surface of the water wondering what could be in the depths, his mind began to wander thinking how strange it was to be outside the village on something that wasn't official business considering for all Yukio told others to live their lives freely he was somewhat married to the job of ANBU captain.

"Well I guess it can't hurt too much to relax a while." Rising to his feet before getting closer to the lake, jumping from tree branch to tree branch, he came to rest just above the waters edge removing his coat and hanging it off the tree branch as a sign for Soku to know where he was before diving into the water below. It was deeper than he thought and though his Bakugan gave him better vision than most few things could pierce the depths not that he was complaining it gave him a sense of normality seeing as a normal person would in such a situation.

He could only hold his breath for so long however letting his body go limp in the waters floating gently to the surface laying on the lake letting the cool water drift across his skin as it glistened in the midday sun closing his eyes to take a moment to enjoy the moment letting his mind go blank thinking only of what was around him part of his attention directed to waiting for Soku's arrival hoping his directions made some sense to her.

He would remain like that until she arrived enjoying the relaxing feeling of laying bare chested in the waters shifting his fingers every so often using his chakra to make slight shapes and patterns from the droplets. "Its never really until you see nature up close that you truly come to apricate it, the short time I was a sage taught me that much and if we respect it most of the time it will respect us in return." The words fell from his lips without him thinking about it more than happy to speak his mind in that moment.

It was a nice day to be out and about, that much was certain. The kunoichi had taken a day off today from her routine duties. Dressed in some causal clothes and her hair fixed into a bun, the Santaru made her way through the foresy terrain exploring the secrets of the unknown. It was nice to get out and let loose all that pent-up energy for once skipping from branch to branch. Despite her recent rise to Captain, the paperwork was horrendous and sometimes, it was as if she spent more time at that mucky old desk in the ANBU headquarters then outside enjoying the sights and the smells."Now, where did that old man wander off to.."Soku muttered searching for a ivory haired Hyuuga. It must be important if Yukio was calling her. Her question was soon answered for her as she happened across a body of water. The Captain stopped for a moment, a confused look on her face."Water? What exactly does he inten-."She caught sight of the coat dangling and realizationd dawned on her face.

"I hate swimming."She muttered darkly letting her brown locks fall to her shoulders as the female dove in bobbing up to the surface. She waded through the waters seeking her mentor. Sure enough, she happened upon the Hyuuga deep in thought by the looks of it and his pupils closed. She grinned as the perfect way to shake him awake came to her. Rasing a hand, she brought it crashing down splashing the man with a stream of water. That felt...satisfying."Wakey,wakey. You called,
Sensei?"
She said masking her smile. It was her fun way of showing how glad she was to see him again. In some ways, Yukio reminded her of those monk people. The guys who mediate all day, so calm, so peaceful.

The water was quite deep. Deeper than she liked. Honestly, she didn't know why she didn't just stand on it. Chakra could solve that problem."Is there a reason we are drifting around in this water?
Because, I'm not exactly a superstar swimmer."
Soku said. Truth be told, she was not familar with the water. It was a stranger to her. It's not that she couldn't swim. The female had some experience but she honestly doubted she would be able to keep up with any veteran swimmer. Her hands made little shapes in the water as she awaited Yukio's reply. Her sharingan shifted downwards glancing into the depthness of the lake. Strange things lurked down there. Fish, crabs....monsters. She could have sworn she saw shadows moving down there. "This lake..doesn't have sharks...by chance...does it?"She asked hesitantly. Swimming was one thing but man-eating aquatic creatures? That was a book that could stay shut as far she was concerned. The thought of it made her shudder as possibiltes went through her head. What if they were attacked by a carnivorous squid? What would happen if they happened across a school of pirhana? What if the sharks mistook them for prey. So many questions. The Santaru wrung some water out of her hair and took a few moments to clear her head. These were all silly thoughts. It's just water. Thats all it was. Water. Clean, harmless water.

Does the lake have sharks? Are there any man eating creatures the underwater? Would these two come in contact with a giant squid? That might would've been the case if it hadn't of been for one fish woman who dwelled in the depths of these waters. That giant squid that would've attacked them currently had its tentacles tied waiting to be served up to the friendly merchants to make sushi. Then there was that evil stingray who got a hard smackdown and quickly retreated to another body of water with its tail between his fins! And whatever happened to that giant turtle that spat fire balls? Well after a four day battle, when this fish hero finally defeated it she ended up throwing the turtle into some soup and renaming him “delicious”. The only thing that lurked deep in the lake was her huge eel that was her toughest foe but when she finally defeated it she turned it into her pet to go surfing the waves of her home world. No one usually came around this lake, mostly due to the fact that there was a fish woman who liked challenging people to a wrestling match and if they refused they would have to deal with that giant eel monstrosity swallowing them whole which is usually how it gets fed. At the bottom of the lake, the fish woman was sharpening her spear collection when suddenly there was a disturbance in the water.

She looked up, seeing a shadowy human like creature on the surface. The fish woman smirked, showing off all her razor sharp teeth as she grabbed a spear then zipped upwards before pausing when she got to a certain height. “Wake up big boy! We got some fresh meat up top!” She yelled, then the scales of the huge 70 meter eel who was resting began to glow a light green color. The sea beast eyes flashed a electronic yellow, looking up to see the man who would probably see it considering how huge it was. “Race ya to the top!” The fish woman zipped upwards at a really high speed, preparing to greet her new guest.

….

On the surface, it seemed like it was going to be a normal day. A casual day off for both student and teacher within pretty clean looking water. The man wasn't too scared of what maybe underneath the waters, the girl was a bit timid in getting into the water which was probably a good idea because right after Soku asked if there was any sharks in the lake, before Yukio could even answer something shot out of the water! The fish woman was dancing along the air for a moment, looking down at her two new opponents before doing a triple backflip to land 7 meters behind Soku while she still stood on the edge of the lake. The fish woman obviously was some deep sea warrior of some kind, all black armor with a huge heart on her chest with a flashing eye. Her skin was all blue with her hair in a long red ponytail, she smiled a toothy smile that showed very hello teeth with before pointing her spear at the two.

“Ha! A couple of land dwelling punks trying to force enter MY lake aren't they!” The fish woman emphasized on the “my” part. She stabbed her spear into the ground next to her, before whistling loudly for her pet to surface. The water began to shift, then a huge electric eel peeked the top part of its huge, boulder sized head from the lake. The fish woman kicked at the ground to hop into the air again, causing where she was standing to look like a crater before landing on top of her pet's head. “So, what the hell are you guys doing here anyway! This lake is strictly owned by me, which one of you punks are here to wrestle!” She said, cracking her knuckles looking from Yukio, then to Soku.

Tilting his head over to the Santaru before pushing chakra to his feet, the Captain now standing on the surface of the water he couldn't help but chuckle at what Soku had to say giving a slight gesture with his hand towards the water. "Sharks in a lake? Think about the implications of that, if that was the case i would hope they could speak so we can ask how they got there in the first place." Taking a few paces across the waters surface towards her he sighed slightly at her distaste for the activity shaking his head slightly before gesturing out to the area around them. "Should we not take time away from training and teaching to appreciate the area we are actually protecting?"

An honest question Ninja weren't machines after all and the act of simply seeing what it was they were helping to create could be quite the moral booster on a good day, giving that simple reminder that it was days like today, the chance of peace, that was the reason each of them trained so hard. "Besides maybe this is the best time to get better at swimming you've been a natural at most other things so far to some extent."

Things would change at a moments notice however, the day was certainly not going to go the way the Hyuuga had expected then again when did it ever, no sooner had Soku arrived that the calm of the lake was disturbed causing the man to tilt his head back though the scene he would be presented with would leave him speechless. "Well i was most certainly not expecting to see anyone else here, a pleasure to meet you." Moving to leave the water the Hyuuga's vision began to closely monitor the two that had just appeared where as one was seemingly humanoid to some extent it was the other that raised his concerns just as the word trespassing did.

"Well my apologies then i was unaware that this was such a protected area. But do not find yourself concerned we seek to appreciate the place you protect." There was a pause at her last words, the Clan head not exactly sure how to respond given the position they found themselves in taking a moment of pause to think of an answer. "Well if it would a test of might you seek from us in exchange for our transgression I would be more than happy to comply, great warriors are drawn to tests of strength are we not?"

Soku shrugged as she drifted in the lake. He did have an point. Lake, water, could make for a bit of swimming practice. However, all of that was soon to be disrupted rather quickly. Turning her head to see what montrosity had appeared, the Captain took a moment to collect herself taking in the details and featuresof what appeared to be an humanoid fish woman and a massive eel that tagged along. She had a fair idea where this was gling. Pushing chakra to her feet, the Santaru landed on top of the watery surface staring increduosly at the creatures whatever they were."So, you are the protectors of thus little body of water, huh?"She asked eyeing the woman creature. Instinctively, her hand dropped down to the hilt of her sword and she closed around it ready to draw at a moment's notice. Clearly, this thing wanted a fight and she wasn't one to back down. Yukio, it seemed was thinking along the same pages."By all means, if it is combat you desire, let us proceed."

Soku wasn't as concerned about the fish woman as she was the eel. It was massive and didn't look too friendly."So, just a question. Do we like, get to explore this lake if we win?"The female asked non-chalantly smiling sweetly glancing up at the lady. The smile was more of a mesage indicating that the girl did not seem fazed by the fact a humongous eel and it's amphibous owner had emerged seeking death and destruction. On the inside however, the young kunoichi was wracking her head thinking of possible solutions. This was precisely why she despised water. It hid all sorts of creatures out for your blood. It was like her worst nightmare come alive. Swinging some of her hair out of her face to reveal the three-tomoed pattern of her Sharingan, she spoke."So, we gonna do this or what?"

Hearing the way Yukio was attempting to talk proper almost made the fish woman bust out laughing, it was similar catching a bandit red handed in your home and them saying 'Hello Nice To Meet You.’ At least from the perspective of the fish woman, this is what it seemed like. “Hear that Juggernaut! Ol’ no gills here is trying to sweet talk his way outta trouble.” She laughed, then the giant eel began to chuckle along with the fish woman. “Nice to meet you!” She mocked Yukio's voice. “We seek to appreciate the place that you protect.~ This guy” she exclaimed before laughing again. The man seemingly knew exactly what she wanted and that was a good old fashion brawl. Been some time since she actually had some worthy opponents, hopefully these two would be that fight that gets her excited. If not, well she can always boot them off her property when they lose.

The prideful fish woman hopped off the giant eel's head, then landed close by the water stabbing her spear into the ground to before explaining the rules of the game. “Well, you two read my mind. If you win our little spar, yeah, sure you get to explore the lake. Hell I'll throw in that you could make a pact with us deepsea folk so you can call us whenever you need us and swim anywhere to your heart's content.” She said, then began to crack her knuckles with a wide smile on her face. “But if you guys lose, you get lost and if you come around here again it'll mean a automatic-heroic-punch-in-the-face.” the juggernaut began to rise its body above water, taking a rather aggressive stance behind its fish woman master. The fish woman looked from Yukio, then at Soku deciding who should she hit first before making nodding then put her dukes up before releasing her chakra, spreading it through the battlefield to give her an advantage over the duo. “We'll start on three.” She said, digging her feet into the ground….

“One…” she said, but after see said one the fish woman was already in a close proximity of Soku before she even knew the battle was starting. A sneak attack! Before Soku could even could react the fish woman gunned her fist that was covered in a dark reddish chakra towards her stomach and if she landed that blow she would go in for a second strike to Soku's face if she was too slow in dodging or if her partner didn't counter the sneak attack. Clearly, Melee Taijustu was one thing she was specialized plus because she was a deepsea her gloved also gained power from water. If all went planned her next target would be Yukio, who she wasted no time in attempting a 16 hit combo on him. Her gloves being pretty sharp might shred the Hyuuga if she landed some pretty hard strikes on him. The eel staying vigilant began to prepare his attacks for wave.

How will the duo react.

He couldn't hide it the smile creeping across his face, the excitement of facing a strong willed opponent sliding his gloves over his arms without a second thought instinct kicking in as his chakra burst flowing out like the sea in a storm. "Rather blunt method of combat you have there don't you, I like your style however do not think us children wandering lost I'll give you something to work for." Tilting his head to Soku as the women struck out he nodded, knowing there was little need to make an attempt to defend Soku she was after all his student.

Himself however was another matter forming a swift series of handseals as a wall of flame erupted before him ready to receive whatever may come his way, a precaution above all else he had little doubt in his mind she was confident enough to take them both on however that did not mean he would waste the opportunity to trade words with her. "What makes me curious is what lays beneath that lake that makes you act as such, A home I would assume I know how i would react if someone simply walked into my house without being invited."

His wall of flame would not last forever he knew that much, and while he had its protection there was opportunity to form his next series of seals snapping his neck to the side his attention back to Soku for a brief moment he would need a few seconds at most but that was all some needed to deal the finishing blow. "Gonna need time you think you got it in you firecracker?" It was clear the man was enjoying himself showing no hesitation in using the little nickname he'd cooked up for the Santaru many years before hand.

Chakra streamed across his arms pulses of electrical energy streaking across the ground as he exhaled it took effort and focus especially when using a technique he'd never actually used in combat but that was of little concern most things either worked or failed with rather interesting results a learning experience was just that after all.

The young and spry ANBU watched as the fish woman began counting readying herself for a strike. Her well-trained eyes caught the movements of the woman jerking towards her and she was prepared when the fist shout out towards her. Letting loose a nod, Soku flicked her fingers and a stream of water shot up from around her forming into a whip and struck out at the monster as the Captain rolled away should she be successful in dodging the attack. She tilted her head at the aquactic behemoth and her pet speaking in a admonishing tone."Listen, you really don't want to do that again. Sneak attacks are something that just do not sit well with me.Fight honorably, why don't ya?"Her hands flew in a series of motions as chakra formed and within a matter of seconds, two beasts stood before her growling at the threats. Two canines, one black in color coated in Storm Chakra, the other made out of pure lightning. The feral cats bared their fangs as they ran through the water easily challenging the eel and it's master to a duel . Soku extended a finger at the foes and without a word, the canines pounced their claws flashing down.

The firecracker comment caused her to shoot Yukio a small tired expression. The old man thought he was funny, adults had no idea what humour meant."That is getting really old, Gramps, just like yourself."She shot back at him nodding as he prepared his plan of attack.."You got 5 minutes, make it count."She said refocusing herself on the duo. It was time to end these games. The three-tomoed pattern of her Sharingan began to swirl and eventually, her eyes began to take on the form of the Mangekyo. "Let me show you a new world."Using her ocular prowess, Soku focused on the eel, warping its form in attempt to seal it within another dimension via her Kamui technique. One less foe to deal with would be a added incentive. It was a large eel but even if a portion of it was sent away, she would be content with that.

"You're starting to bore me here, woman."She said glancing up at the woman. Noting the spear she wielded, the kunoichi began to formulate a plan. Her Kamui technique was limited in combat so she had to use it sparingly but if she could separate the woman from her spear, things would not be as grave as they currently looked. "It's been 5 minutes and counting."She said tossing a reply to the senior Captain over her shoulder. Perhaps her Youkai could assist them here. Before that however, the girl would analyze. No need to waste uneccsary chakra if this enemy could be subdued easily.

The chakra that came from the man in her first attack made the fish woman slightly nervous, did the man just use the same technique that she just used. 'Copy cat.’ She thought, gunning her fists at Yukio but a wall of flames sprung up protecting the man from her combo. “Barriers huh?! You hiding now?!” She roared while punching at the wall of flames until she felt the sting of her hands burning and she waved both of her gloved hands. Maybe punching the wall wasn't really a good idea but the barrier went down and she readied herself for what the man would come up with next and he didn't disappoint. Yukio released a bright beam of electricity and like how she solves most of her problems her hand glew red with courage as she struck the ninjustu with all she's got! Ripping through the attack, her punch although not having the power that it did would've hit got him however her aim was a bit off and she ended up falcons punching the ground where she thought she was but she used this her being low to try and kick Yukio with a Low Sweep before quickly flinging herself backwards before whistling at her eel.

The enormous eel brought its head back, as it opened its mouth then focused its chakra to create a powerful vortex condensed into the form of a rapidly spinning large sphere of lighting chakra. The sphere almost looked as if it was aiming to blast the duo both away, and a sharp huff the eel released the ball at them. The fish woman smirked, but then seeing when the sphere stuck them it was sucked into some weird…. black hole. It was absorbed but it didn't stop there because the eel was trying to pull away from the vertex that was sucking it in but it was already too late and the fish woman's eel was sent into another dimension. ‘Space-time justu huh?' She thought, beginning to weave hand seals. ‘Gotta take this girl out now.’

“Bored huh?” the fish woman roared then slammed her fists to the ground which began to crack leading all the way to Soku before making a ring around her… area beneath her was now turned into a large body of water, and like being on thin ice she fell through the ground into a deep blue abyss. It was almost as if she fell into the ocean itself, the water being manipulated by the fish woman dragged Soku further into the water but downing was the least of her worries when she saw a fin… not just one but five fins and as she sunk further into the water she could see FIVE HUNGRY SHARKS made from chakra circling around her. “Now you get to swim with the sharks.” The sharks eyes glew a oceans blue, their mouths widen with excitement and Soku could feel the pull release her which could allow her to swim up to the surface! She better get out of the fish woman's Mystical Pond… if she didn't get out in time she better hope these sharks are only man eating sharks and not.. ‘GIRL EATING’ Sharks.

It seemed the women wouldn't go down without a fight, a fact Yukio was all too happy to deal with as the energy in his hands finished charging a stream of electricity formed at the tips of his fingers. "Soku if you could duck for a brief moment." Gliding his fingertips across the scene the stream crossed all in his line of sight the man seeming to care little for defence at this moment in time. This would only be a brief respite however seeing her cascading towards him and with a slight grin the Hyuuga paused unmoving as she went to strike.

"You've seen my strength now let me have a test of your own." Feeling the impact of her fist the Sennin's muscles tensed she was strong to say the least, more so than he had expected though it was nothing he hadn't experienced before. "You are someone who has trained long and hard for this power that much i can tell from your strength of will, someone worthy of respect in my eye although." Taking a quick step back in the aftermath of her strike to avoid the sweep it would be somewhat embarrassing to get caught out by the follow up.

"My regular sparring partner packs a bit more punch quite literally in this case." He would not be bested so easily after all the opponents he'd faced not since Kenshin had the man experienced what could only be described as an exhilarating spar. No more hand seals from this moment forward, this was a battle to be decided with fists not ranged Jutsu or tricks to weaken one another gathering chakra into his palms before taking the Hyuuga Jyuuken stance eyes wide with anticipation for what was to come.

Taking a deep breath this was always a move that was a slight strain on himself the need to hit each strike with precision as he moved with haste towards the women. "Maybe this will be something new for you, lets find out shall we?" His movements were swift though from what he had seen so far much could be said for her own, though in the aftermath of his Ninjutsu strike there was hope she was unprepared for such an attack.

The eel was swiftly swept away into time-space and she ducked her head at Yukio's warning as an attack flew swiftly over her. Something told her to look down, her senses screaming at her and sure enough, as the kunoichi glanced down, the ground appeared to have morphed into a body of water."Wha-?"The Captain was momentarily caught off guard as she began to fall for what seemed like an endless amount of time before finding herself entrapped in the pond."Water..it had to be water."She murmured to herself as she allocated chakra to her feet pushing towards the surface before realizing the grave error she had made. Five aquatic forms in the shape of sharks flew at her, their mouths chomping up and down as they grinned showing those rows of teeth. Soku twisted to the side as far as she could attempting to avoid the fleet of fish."Ok, if that's how you want to play, then suit yourself."The Captain considered the prospect of utilizing Susanoo but shook her head at the though. There was no need yet to put that much strain on her eyes. Her Santaru bloodline gave her..other alternatives. Undoing her hair bun, her hair locks fell to her shoulders as she stared down the aquatic demons."You know, I hear that water is a really good booster for lighting, how about we test that out? Storm Call Jutsu!"Thunderous clouds instantly began to form over the lake blotting out the sun and soon enough, flashes of lightning began to strike randomly around the enviorment as she manipulated the forces of nature to beat back the predators.

At the same time, the female began powering through the water in a attempt to surface with the aid of chakra. It was essential she escape before her oxygen levels dropped or else they would be in serious trouble. Back on the surface, her lightning cat and storm panther duo were aiding the Hyuuga snarling and clawing at the fish woman. They were not pleased after witnessing the pond swallow their master whole. Growling their rage, they dashed forward, baring their fangs as both latched on any part of the female sinking thier fangs into her scaly skin. Thunderclouds were growing in number and the forestry around the lake began to sway as the wind pressure picked up. All of this was a side effect of the Santaru's bloodline. Breaths began to comme in ragged gasps as she paddled towards the surface."I...hate...water."She said through clenched teet, her Mangekyo scanning around for the sharks in case they tried anything funny. Reaching around her waist, the Santaru felt around for her sword sheath before realizing she had uneqipped it when preparing to dive into the lake. Cursing, she figured she could afford one more jutsu before she really had to go up for air.

Making the required handsigns, her palm began to radiadte with a sort of lightning chakra as she made a closed fist. Her eyes slid up to meet the nearest shark and she smiled."Game over."Swinging forward, her fist would swing forward and if succesful, would connect with the fish's face, the lightning chakra overpowering the water technique disrupting his form. Upon peforming this, she shot up in a desperate attempt to escape this water prison. She could see the shadows of Yukio, her canines and the fish woman duking it out. The female ANBU had no intention of drowning. That would be a sorry way to perish in her opinion. Musteirng all the chakra she could, she let it flow to her feet powering through the water, her head breaking the surface if sucessful taking in huge gulps of air. She was aware there were still sharks roaming about underneath her. She glanced at the Captain who seemed to be enjoying himself."You should go make friends with our neighbors."She said nodding to the dark figures of sharks coming towards them. It was time to end this. She trusted her canines could help the Hyuuga. She had to deal with these creatures first.

Finally Yukio decided to get seriously, the fish woman put her gloves up then channeled her courage into her fists to attack the lighting blast using the dreaded falcon punch, this time her fist landed its mark and she use the opportunity to follow up with a full blown assault against the man with her dreaded 16 hit combo. The sharp spikes on her gauntlets caused a few cuts here, a few bruises but nothing that Yukio couldn't handle. ‘He's tough’ she thought to herself. 'Fought things 3 times his size, how could he be so tough.’ She thought, but the fish woman couldn't afford to think right now. Fight, Fight, Fight! Hit until it stops moving! A cocky smile spreading across her toothy smile, deciding to throw a few words at the man herself. “Heh. You damn right I trained hard to get this tough, gotta say you're pretty tough for someone the size of a shrimp.” She teased, clenching her gloved hands to put her hands up to prepare for the mans next attack.

Now the man decided to come at her head on. This time no shields, no range attacks, now she would get to see what the the man was really made of. Little did she know, this man was a part of a clan who were famous for being quite skilled in Taijustu, the armor didn't protect her much when he struck her with his palms the first time, her eyes widened then before she could recover he struck her again, the strikes came at her at an exponentially increasing pace and strength. Each blow knocked her back, causing her to stumble then she caught her balance. Yukio was stronger than she expected him to be, way stronger she could give him that. But the headstrong fish woman still refused to give up, after all fist fights were one thing that gave her an advantage over huge dumb creatures that she went up against.

The five sharks made of chakra grind before they all closed in, the first one attempted to go for the Santaru’s leg but it missed and instead bumped into her foot. One went for her arm however it was met with a punch to its face which made it poof since its nose was a weak spot. Storm clouds formed overhead and the lighting beast went for an attack on the fish woman. Beginning detracted by Yukio, she didn't take into an account the lighting beast until it was too late and one ended up sinking their fangs into her arm. “Agh! Why you little!-” she said before punching the beast in the nose to free herself then grabbed the black panther, putting the beast into a headlock. “Come ere’!” The fish woman jumped high into the air before falling back down using the black panthers head as the cushion for the landing. BOOM! A yelp from the pat her could be heard followed by it proofing, then she quickly went for the lighting creature with a red fist of courage to poof the creature in one punch. Finally it was just her and Yukio. Using the surrounding water, the fish woman lifted her hands to raise a huge portion of the lake to encircle around them, trapping Yukio inside of a huge watery dome. The man was tough, but needed air which was one weakness that land dwellers had, in this dome she had the advantage. Her speed is at its peak, her water damage is increased, he might be tough on land but here in the watery dome.. If she didn't get him, then the suffocation would. She had the upper hand! “Now let's see how well you fight when you can't breath. “ the fish woman mocked, hopping just a few feet before dashing at Yukio weaving handsings to make 5 copies of herself appear! All five ready to attack the man while they believed he would be struggling to breath. On the outside she was going all out using every trick she knew in order to win but internally the fish woman wanted to see if this land dweller could manage to weave fight his way out or would this 'Disadvantage’ even effect the man at all. Gaining respect through a good old fashion spar. From what it looked like the man might actually be tougher than her, but of course she could be wrong...
Meanwhile, while Yukio was handling things on land Soku was dealing with now 4 hungry sharks determined on having the girl as a meal. Three lighting bolts rained down on at least 3 of these sharks, but when the lighting split the sharks it seemed that they regenerated by using the chakra inside of the mystical pond and formed another 2 sharks so now soku was dealing with 7 sharks! All of them showing off their teeth ready to dig in….

For a fish out of water the women seemed to be adamant in proving her abilities to the pair though it was quite clear the strain of battle would wear her out with the passage of time moving himself into a spin as the dome formed around him ready to take her attacks head on with the techniques of the Hyuuga clan shaking his head slowly eyes shifting to watch his student. "You seem tired your telling me this is what you have, I think we both know where this ends and I would prefer if we had a moment to speak in the aftermath of this battle over some Sake."

It was a genuine offer and a sign of respect to get abilities though the stabbing pain of each strike still shuddered through the man's body coughing as her fist impacted around his chest the ribs below creaking and grinding his lungs forcefully emptied as a quick gasp for breath left him. Snapping his neck to the side he shook his head slowly pondering on what would be the outcome of this sighing slightly as his hands came together. "Guess it would be disrespectful to not see this through at this point, though i do indent to bring this to an end."

The series of handseals was swift and precise before raising his hand in the air his unblinking gaze piercing through the women a slight smirk etched across his features. "From your reactions its quite clear you've never seen anything like us before so to keep such a theme going I'll show you something else however i could advise against taking a hit here safe of say it might sting a little." The flames began to form in the air above them the man adamantly remaining still a meteor of flames high in the sky before the Sennin brought his hand down the flames streaking through the sky.

"This is what i have for you, for all of you though should things go well in the aftermath i guess we can have that Sake i spoke of earlier, safe to say it will be far more pleasant than this heat." The ball was in their court now, both the women, Soku and the Eel though he had some degree of confidence in them all at this point given the state they could all be in it was an interesting thought to see who would come out on top in the end. "Guess we can call this a contest of endurance huh?"

She glanced at the sharks who had multiplied in number now and wrinkled her nose in annoyance. It had to be regeneration, of course. She sighed inwardly turning herself to face the feisty fish. Her Sharingan spinning rapidly as she twisted and turned avoiding the chomps the aquatic creatures took at her."Using lesser creatures to do your bidding, so primitive, woman."She shot at the fish woman in an attempt to goad her. Clasping her hands together, she glared down at the sharks who were rushing at her, revealing their rows of fangs bared almost like a devil's grin."Out of my way."She said and from her hands, tiny needlelike senbons composed of lightning-based chakra rushed forward targeting the mass of sharks. She swam forward pushing with her feet making an handsign and soon enough, there was a poof of smoke and a Lightning-based clone of the Santaru phased in next to the Hyuuga staring up at the fish human as Soku grappled with the sharks beneath. There was a crackling of lightning as an Chidori appeared in the clone's palm and nodding once, it took off thrusting the jutsu at the woman's chest seeking to pierce her."You're looking pretty tired there, fish girl! Missing your eel, perhaps?"The clone said taunting as the Chidori got closer and closer.

Meanwhile back down, Soku tilted her head looking up at the surface. If these sharks kept multiplying, these seas would become a feeding frenzy. An innver voice urged her.Use it, use it, that power is yours to command. She scolded herself sharply and refocused. The Susanoo was a high-risk technique and she would not take such drastic measures if the situation did not call for it though if this continued, she might have to go down that path. It was time for that technique, this move she liked as it rained down strike after strike on the foe without break and was quite useful for situations like these. She righted herself floating in the water staring down the aquatic demons, three kunai she grasped within each hand. There was a flash and the ANBU moved swiftly flicking the kunai at the shark infusing some lightning chakra into the weapons for some added damage. She repeated this action twice more at incredible speed before floating back."Piercing Rain, a technique designed to barrage your opponets with all sorts of strikes in order to exhaust them, and you don't look so good right now." She placed an hand up to her right eye wincing as her vison blurred fpr an instant. She had to keep a limit on that dojutsu. The effects were beginning to show.

“Tch!” the fish woman clicked her teeth, as all the copies of her dashed to the man to swarm him like piranhas to a fallen slice of meat. One copy hitting the man from the back which spun him to another clone that went to strike his chest, then one went for his ribs, then all five closed in to punch around him like some merry-go-round of pain before the clones dispersed then turning to water. She was about to go in for another attack but then, the man went for a series of handseals before looking up then squinting her eyes to see a ball of fire coming down upon her and she put her hands up to block the hit. It stung indeed, she didn't know the human were this strong especially since she was the big fish around. Not bad for a race that had no gills or claws but still she forgot that this Hyuuga wasn't the only one in hot water with her.

The sharks made of chakra water tried again to dig into the flesh of the Santaru, brandishing their teeth but they had all been stuck down by lighting senbons. The fish woman smirked as the girl seemingly made 20 more chakra sharks, all of them slowly regenerating and chomped then the feeding frenzy began swimming towards the girl from behind while Soku charged in for an attack. The fish womans fist glew red then she met Soku's fist with a attack of her own to knock the girl’s hand to the side before slugging the girl from behind which made the girl poof! A clone, typical. She thought as the sharks closed in on the real Soku, thinking that this time as they would get to have their snack but soku wasn't quite done yet because she used Piercing Rain which was surprisingly effective against the sharks. Making them disperse on contact. Seconds within the fight it would seem that the fish woman bit off more than she could chew when dealing with the duo. Panting, hurt and running low on chakra the fish woman had to laugh at how strong these two were.

“Alright. I guess we can stop now before things get too serious and I have to use my special attack to mop the floor with you two.” She said, giving herself a hard heroic punch in the face to heal herself just a bit. “How about calling a temporary truce since I'm letting you guys win, I could let you explore in my realm. Whadoya say? Call it a draw?” Of course, she wasn't going to admit that she lost. Warriors pride mostly, but she did offer to let them explore her lake, even dropped some of her justu to allow Soku to be spat back up to the surface. These two proved themselves well enough so she could at least let them in to see why she was guarding the place.

Show some mercy and spare fish woman? Or FIGHT?

It seemed the battle had come to a stalemate with neither side willing to back down unless their opponent was willing to do the same, safe to say the Hyuuga was starting to feel the pain and there was only so much his body was willing to shake off before caving in to the strain shaking his head slowly as the man came to his senses. "You and me both, something tells me this would not end without either of us going through severe injuries you truly are a worth opponent however give me but a moment to fix something that is on its way."

Turning on his heels the man looked up to the tempest moving through the sky towards them forming a series of handseals and cracking his neck to the side. "Just need to get rid of this now, given the state we are all in this could have been deadly." stretching his hand out a beam of lightning struck the object a detonation occurring in the air as the heat rained down the man taking a deep breath in the aftermath turning back to face the fish women hands on his hips taking a moment to regain some composure before speaking.

"Well at least we measured each others skills to a great degree but now we have achieved some semblance of peace to speak though that sake I spoke of earlier certainly seems rather enticing right about now does it not. So might we ask you to look around this realm should Soku agree to it." His gaze shifted towards the Santaru in that moment for all he was willing to call it a draw there it would be the girl that had the final say on the matter deciding if they could have the peace and quiet they had come here for in the first place.

She was released from the little pesky water jutsu the fish woman had cast upon her and looked at the remnants of the battle. Combat really was not a pretty thing to look at once you got a glance at it, the thought never left you. Her eyebrow shot up as the woman mentioned something about mopping the floor about them. Was she still not convinced or perhaps her pride would not allow her to admit the loss here today? Whatever the case, Soku did not linger on such trivial things, she was just glad she hadn't wound up as fish food."There were sharks in the lake."The Captain said pointedly looking at Yukio as an aside comment about his earlier remark. It was her way of messing with him, something she was sure slightly pestered him to some degree but that was the fun part of it. She glanced up at the fish woman's offer pondering."Right, well, I am curious to explore this deep sea world of yours so I side with Yukio here."She said wagging a finger at the woman or fish...whatever it was. "Oh, and your eel, see, right now, he's in this lovely little plane called a time-space though if you want him back, something tells me his first instinct will be to try to devour us seeing as we did sort of beat him up." She said, a smile threatning to tug at her face. For some reason, that had felt satisfying to say. This had been quite a turn of events so far.

It really was a deep body of water, who knew what secrets it held? She pondered for a moment before talking again."You know, you must be pretty tough if no one has gotten the best of you until today. Though I have to ask, you protect it for some sole purpose, I presume? Something super duper secret hiding down there?"She asked curious to what the reply would be. She half-expected the creature to say something along the lines of like they had to find out on their own or probably insist there was absolutely nothing. She would not be surprised with any of those answers."I'm ready if you are."Soku added looking at Yukio as the heat particles fell down around the duo. She smiled at that. He had a style to his combat methods and it was appealing to the eye when you watched him, well, when you weren't getting chased around by carnviorous sharks and wondering how to beat a humanoid fish hellbent on drowning you in the depths of her waters. She blinked a few times and the Mangekyo pattern faded from her pupils reverting back to the original form. That eel was probably swimming through time and space right now but it would prove fruitless. She almost felt sorry for the poor creature, it had been subdued and forced into submisson by this thing before them, at least, that's how she saw it."Do you have a name?"She asked rather suddenly to the fish woman. Names were a good way to get the ball rolling, after all, she got the feeling this would be a long dive into these waters.

Hello Soku and Yukio :]
Just wanted to let you know I'll continue where Maru left. I'll do my best to live up to the story. If there is anything I should be knowing about the story or details you formerly discussed with Maru, can you let me know? Thanks!

She allowed herself a few moments to look at both, it seemed a look of almost bemusement crossed her face as she tilted her head before stepping further onto the water, though for someone of her skill she knew full well that the Shinobi before her still processed strength, but that was not all that was needed here. Taking a few deep breathes her hands came out towards the water that was around her. The illumination started form her finger tips as it slowly worked its was up to her palm before engulfing the entire hand, the water slowly begun to rumble as it moved, slowly slide and sloshing like it was in a box being shaken by a child that was angry.

In those few moments the water before the two of them begun to part slowly at first as the shore line shrug backwards, as if moving away from a threat slow and trying to go unnoticed, slowly the water parted inch by inch, though the woman was moved slightly by the water she was pushed backwards until she was three quarters of the way across the lake, as she stood there her concentration never breaking never wavering in those few moments. Finally, the water stopped, it seemed that the lake was deeper than most would believe, as stones washed into what would be more described as steps to allow them to walk down to the depths, as a large door could be seen. This door was made of brass but the etchings and carvings inside of it showed various sea creatures from the deep, some they probably had never seen but as the door swung open the illuminating of blue light would fill the room, the blue flames lapping and jumping from there podiums which supported them.

“Come let us walk, for though you have proven that you can fight, it takes more than that to actually impress me, don’t worry the water won’t close unless I want it to. You came this far a little bit further is nothing in the long run of things now is it?”

Her voice calm and soothing like the ocean when it rolled across pebals in the middle of a hot day, she allowed herself to glide down the water to the front of the door, waiting to see if they would really join her after all, now that would be the the true test here, for only somethings where decided by the actions of others. This was one of those choices that they had to make together for the offer was just that one for both of them.

“Let us see what awaits, as for my name it is not important, call me what you want, mermaid, fish woman, creature from the deep I have been called many things, and nothing all at once for I am what blooms in the water when the lights feel like they have gone out.”

The real question here would be what the two Shinobi would do.

Watching the women's actions the Hyuuga found himself bewildered by her abilities wondering just how much power she had within her turning to Soku making a swift gesture for her to follow considering this was a rare opportunity to see something very few would ever see without powerful jutsu at their disposal. Though there was a feeling of growing excitement at the thought of where they were being taken a traces of sweat still slowly slid down his temples the lingering thought that had they continued that battle he could very well have found himself and his Captain dead and lying at the bottom of the lake.

"I'm glad you see our abilities as adequate enough to earn your approval though I do wonder where this path leads for us. You have my thanks for letting us continue our journey for I have little doubt in my mind that you could have continued that battle for far longer than you would have us believe." Credit where credit was due she was truly a formidable warrior taking a few paces towards the opening as she asked her question. "You are correct, after such a clash of fists something as simple as a little walk seems to pale in comparison wouldn't you agree Soku."

There was a split second where the man wondered what the Santaru must think of all this where as some would act in shock and awe others in wonder the Sennin seemed to take this in his stride though considering his last experience with the unknown this excursion had been somewhat more enjoyable than the last to say the least. "Mermaid seems more appropriate for a name given that fish women comes across as a tad rude at least to myself, though the more you speak the more curious i find myself wondering what really rests down there where the dark blinds us to the beauties of the depths."

His eyes moved back towards the lake once more, though he had never spared much thought to it having never lived by the sea, he wondered what kind of creatures did indeed live in those depths what kind of life would live in a place with no light, no sound just the endless depths of the ocean at this point it was less about asking questions and simply acting beginning to walk down the steps taking a moment to admire the brass and it's intricate design.

"I must admit I find the architecture to be rather amazing, I would have never thought something like this rested just below the waters of this lake. Goes to show just how little we know about what lies beyond our own eyes does it not."
