Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

When Susumu got to the village gates of Sunagakure he was stopped by two guards. "Where do you think your going?" They both said simultaneously. Susumu then replied, "Im on my way to Konoha so I can look for my long lost mother"</B><i></i> One of the guards then said in response, "No citizen is allowed to exit the village gates without a passport on hand"<i></i> Susumu then stated that he didn't know where to get passport. The guards told him, <B>"Go and visit the passport office in the Kazekage Tower" "Someone there should provide you with one" Susumu took heed to this and made a trip to the passport office. As he was walking he could see the tower from a distance. It was grand in structure and resembled the appearance of a giant sand castle. Susumu walked into the passport office and waited at the front desk to be served.

Since his departure from the Kazekage's office Hiku had been looking for something to do. Something to get his bones going and give him a thrill and going topside was his dream. After all that had happened he felt like he deserved to be back up there for a bit. It's been so long since I've been up there. I miss it, and with no missions maybe they'll let me do some escort work. Yes is intent was to accompany somebody, anybody somewhere to be their super powered shinobi bodyguard. Upon his entrance there were not many people within the passport office however there was a kid who walked in almost silently. He walked straight to the front desk not even going to get a form to fill out in the trays. It was like that sometimes, there were many places to receive any form from so the front desk as your first stop meant either you were new, or in a rush. Hiku walked towards the guy and spoke out to him. "Hey how are you doing? I'm Hikuidori, are you trying to get a passport to leave the village? I'm trying to leave myself but I have nowhere in particular to go. Would you like a squad mate for this trip out of the village? It's always nice to have someone to watch your back out there." He'd let that sit for a moment and wait for the guy's response before someone could serve him.

While waiting to be helped at the front desk, Susumu was approached by a man that introduces himself as Hikuidori. Hikuidori asked Susumu if he was trying to get a passport to leave the village. In addition to his initial question, he also asked if Susumu was interested in having a squad mate for his trip outside of Sunagakure. Susumu didn't have a problem with anything this man proposed. It was just that it was so sudden. Susumu answered Hikuidori and said, "It's a pleasure to meet you Hikuidori my name's Susumu" He looked Hikuidori in the eyes and extended his arm and hand offering him a handshake. After they would shake hands he would say, "As for your second question yes I am here for a passport and i wouldn't mind if you tagged along this trip im embarking on"

His name was Susumu and he was polite, which would mean they could start off well. The young guy in front of Hiku extended his hand hoping for a shake. Such a simple gesture meant a great deal in reality. It was a sign, of respect or understanding. One could even consider the art of "dapping up" was derived from handshaking. Hiku would return the gesture with his hand. After shaking Susumu's hand he would listen up as Susu, agreed to his proposal. The sound of bank rolls, rang within Hiku's head.

"Yesssss, this was so damned easy. I can get some vacation time, learn some tricks, and help this kid out. However I still don't know where he's headed or why he's heading there." In his mind he was bouncing around like a child who had finally gotten something they wanted. Yet the mindset of a shinobi kicked in. He needed to figure out the actual details to this little voyage he was about to partake in. With a grateful tone he began to speak to Susumu.

"Ahh thank you Susumu. This should be a great adventure no? I guess we should get some kind of briefing out of the way. Can you tell me what reason we're leaving the village, where we're going and what are the rules on this trip? Also I think it'd be a good idea if we got to know a little bit about eachother's skill sets. I'm a descendant of the Yamanaka Clan. We use flowers, poisons, genjutsu and an interesting line in switching our mind's with our opponents and infiltrating their very psyche. I'm also a decent marksman with my projectiles and I'm adept with Genjutsu. I've also been proven to be an alright sensor." Hiku would stop now, and wait for Susumu's response and his own skill set. Information was key in this line of work and Hiku gave enough about himself for a basic description. He had hoped Susumu would give a decent amount about himself as well since he took this leap to expose his talents. With an interested presence Hiku would wait silently and allow Susumu to express anything he needed to.

After they shook hands, Hikuidori didn't hesitate to get straight down to business. He wanted to know the reason they were leaving the village, where they were going, and surprisingly he would allow Susumu to make up the rules. Hikuidori also began telling Susumu a bit about his skills as a shinobi. He told Susumu that he was a descendant of the Yamanaka clan and as if Susumu thought there weren't any other weird and unique ways of fighting, Hikuidori told him that the use of flowers were involved in combat. Hikuidori also told him that they use poisons and genjutsu. "Wow don't get me wrong but i've never heard of flowers being used as a deadly weapon" Susumu said trying not to degrade him of his clans ways of fighting. He then continued the conversation by telling him about himself. "Im a descendant of the Tsuchimikado clan" "We specialize in the use of metal jutsu and are able to communicate with shinobi from another realm that have passed away" "I myself have mastered the use of explosive jutsu to add to my arsenal of tricks in combat"</B><i></i> Susumu took a minute to let Hikuidori grasp all of what he said. He then began to tell him his reason for leaving the village. He started the conversation off with a question. <B>"Did you happen to hear about the "Akujin Saranori Case"?" "It was about this man that died trying to protect his wife from a serial killer and ended up getting stabbed and not long after dying in his own home" He waited for his answer after that he would tell him about the darkest part of his past.

Chiyoko let out a loud yawn as she exited the office. The mother of the Steward seemed very bored today but that would be soon rectified. Today was not one, but two visitors at the passport office. Her dark blue eyes swapped between Susumu and Hiku. "Alright."<i></i> She began as she emerged from the office. "Oh hey. I have visitors. Goody."<i></i> She acknowledged the two. "Alright you two. In you come."<i></i> She motioned for them to follow her back in the office. Chiyoko took her seat, leaned back in her chair and kicked up her feet to rest on the desk. While the resembled between Chiyoko and Sousuke was quite apparent, the two were very much different in terms of attitude. Chiyoko seemed to be more jovial and laid back in contrast to her son who was cold and calculating.

"Okay. So. Names please?"<i></i> She would begin as her senses began to sharpen. Her eyes narrowed as her gazed shifted between the two before shifting to the passport book. "Purpose of travels. Yadda yadda. Expected time of departure. Excepted time of return...obligatory sample of blood to feed an evil god. No wait. It reads goddess. It also reads that you need to buy me lunch today."<i></i> Her eyes shifted from the book up. She ran her fingers through her violet hair. "Hrm. Lunch. It would be good. I do like lunch. It is my favourite meal of the day. Do you know why?"<i></i> She inquired.

After Susumu asked Hikuidori a question, Someone came into the lobby and greeted the two and said, "Alright"</B><i></i> the lady then looked at the two and said, "Oh hey, I have two visitors. Goody."<i></i> She then suggested Hikuidori and Susumu follow her to the office so that they could get their passports. When they stepped inside the office, they lady sat down behind her desk and leaned back in her chair and kicked her feet up on the desk. She then asked Susumu and Hikuidori for their names, the reason for their travel, expected time for their departure, and their expected time of return. Susumu began to speak on his own behalf. "My name is Akujin Susumu" "My purpose for traveling is to speak to a witness of the Akujin Saranori Case" "I heard that this person was headed toward Konoha to spend some time with their family" "I had some questions for them pertaining to the Akujin Saranori Case" Susumu didn't go into deep detail about the matter. Doing that would mean him telling everyone about his past. He liked to have some sort of privacy in his life. He didn't really consider himself the "open type of person". <B>"I can't get give you an accurate return or departure time" "but i will return"<i></i> Susumu continued. Susumu then glanced at Hikuidori suggesting that he tell the lady that he would be his escort. The lady mentioned something about lunch, Susumu wasn’t really sure if he should take her seriously or if this was some kind of joke.

The young Susu didn't know about the Yamanaka's prowess. He couldn't blame him not many people did. He wondered deep down if Yamanaka were more well received how many people would run to their fetal powers. "Hmm I can't say I blame you for not knowing. Don't you think that's our best power as shinobi. Secrecy something many people forgot all too often. You always want to keep some cards to yourself yanno." He liked Susumu he was an honest kid but he was hoping he'd get the hint because his reasons for going all the way out to Konoha may be put into question too much. Maybe this way he could ensure a passport without a hassle.

Susu began to tell him about his skill set in particular. To be honest this was a first for Hikudori. "Well that is something rare there. Shinobi from another realm? It's definitely not anything I've heard of before. Maybe I'll be able to experience this skill first hand." For a guy who looked sort of like a kid Susumu seemed to be hording some serious firepower. With a nod of approval Hiku said "This should be a fun trip." Before more words could be said a woman came by packed full of some youthful words. After asking some basic questions, Hiku's smaller friend began to speak to the elder woman.

He explained that their reason for travel was to question a witness in the murder of a villager named Akujin Saranori. However he fell short of the rest of her questions. Hiku would take it upon himself to fill in the blanks. Hello, I'm Hiku and my friend here hadn't really organized the minor details, but I can provide some insight. We will be leaving within a week's time. I figure that will give us enough time to handle our business in the village, do a few things to clean up, and then head out. Plus tracking a regular civilian is different from a shinobi. We're just so much faster I doubt we'll lose the trail for three weeks." He'd clear his throat and then straighten himself out. He was kind of rambling but he was hoping to either bore her so much she wouldn't ask for more details, or give her enough to write out a lovely report.

"We will be back within four to seven weeks time, we don't want to spend too much time in the Fire Country, but these questions are important to Susumu." He had hoped he sold their story enough to garner an easy pass. "I also would to ask if we can have this be considered for a B to A rank mission. We'll be heading out of the village, going through the sandstorms, probably attacked by bandits, going into not so friendly territories, and getting some valuable information to catch an elusive and patient killer." Hiku would then smile and pull out a document to prove who he was and his rank. With a smile he also pulled out his wallet and began to pull out a small bundle of yen.

"I'm not sure if I can take you to lunch Auntie, but I can definitely get you some and bring it back. What do you have a taste for? The most important question of them all today. Remember gentlemen never ignore a woman's hunger. A woman's scorn is far worse.

Clearly the two didn't pick up on Chiyoko's good sense of humor. How disappointing.

Chiyoko listened and listened intently. It may have looked like she wasn't listening as she was rocking back and forth on her chair with her eyes looking up. Her thoughts shifted to this Saranori case. In truth it sounded like something her son would be investigating. "Is this a murder case?"<i></i> Chiyoko inquired. Usually when witnesses were involved it was highly probable that they were involved in two types of situations. The first being a murder, and the second one being an accident. Chiyoko assumed the worst, thus she inquired if this was about murder. Susumu's answer to when he would return, made Chiyoko frown. This frown was very apparent on her face, whereas if her son was here he would have maintained a complete and utter neutrality. "So. You promise to return, but not sure when?"<i></i> Chiyoko let out a chuckle of sorts. "Heh. Right so... I would like to see you be home for dinner. You know because being home late for dinner is not acceptable. Dinner is something you don't want to be late for. In my house if you're late for dinner, than you get no dinner!"<i></i>

Hiku took what his companion said and made it clearer. He gave time lines, and even inquired if this could be classified as a mission. "I can give you four or five weeks. Seven is pushing it given the lack of information I'm being given."<i></i> She remarked. "Being attacked by bandits is a given, but there are some nastier things on the surface these days... well maybe I should use a stronger word... but you get the idea."<i></i> She paused for a moment. "I'm not prying, but it is something we need to know."<i></i> The Masashi thought of another important matter to bring up. "You know the rules of conduct when you're out of the village? Be gracious to your host, honour your host. I will not be a happy camper if my son puts me on ice for passports if either of you two cause a fiasco of the international sort. I mean it."<i></i> A more serious look came over Chiyoko's face. She kicked her feet down and simply gave both boys 'the stare'. The stare was distupted with the concept of lunch. "Oh. Lunch. Mmm... not Ramen. I'm good with sushi."<i></i>

It was apparent that Chiyoko was not happy when Susumu told her that he didnt know what time he would return to the village. The frown on her face told Susumu that she was not very pleased with his answer. He instinctively put his head down when Hikuidori began to tell her his own description of why they were there. He gave a long explanation but it seemed to please the receptionist. Susumu would let out a small sigh of relief as the two kept talking, and kept the focus off of him.

He did not know what he was going to say if she asked him any more questions. Hikuidori could do the most of the talking for Susumu, unless he felt like he needed to speak. However as soon as Hikuidori and the lady were done, Susumu would be asked a very serious question from her. She wanted to know if there was anything else she should be aware of. He sighed again knowing that it would be up to him to clear this up.

Susumu would activate his Sanryokugen which was a doujutsu passed down by his family's clan."Please believe me I really do need to meet the witness. You see I believe the woman is my mother. I have these eyes you see and they allow me to see spirits from another realm. My father came to me in my home, he suggested to me that I pay attention to the news the next day. So when I saw the Akujin Saranori, and saw his face I knew I had to go and find the woman who I think is my mother." He would cover his eyes and deactivate the Sanryokugen. Susumu would glance at Hiku trying to see what his expression was about his eyes. He didn't need people he was going to be travelling with judging his powers, or judging him because of them.

The old woman before him, accepted his idea partially for what he was about to embark on. Hiku gave a nod of approval, because he thought five to seven weeks more than enough time. Hiku gave the receptionist a small bow because she was just being so kind. However she would not let it be so simple. She felt it necesarry to just gather another tid bit of information and to be honest Hiku had no trouble with that. Before he could even craft a sentence Susumu began to charge his chakra, and release a small amount. His eyes began to sparkle as if it was covered in diamonds. Susumu began to tell a tale of his exploits.

Apparently he had received these eyes from his clan, much like Hiku gained the Yamanaka's mental abilities. Susumu's own father came to him and alerted him of his death. Maybe the man wanted to make one profitable action towards his son's life. It was clear they had abandoned him already. Hiku felt bad for Susumu but here he was trying to find his mother to give her some type of meaning in his world. He was something to be admired. Susumu would look at Hiku and he would simply smile letting him know Susu did good.

Hiku now turned his focus onto Auntie and he'd begin his speech. "Well said Susu well said. Auntie I however am going to simply be this kid's partner and make sure he comes home safe. I also thought it'd be a good idea to make this a mission. How much is your shrimp, will 3000 yen be enough?" Hiku figured that would be more than enough for this old lady. He'd begin to take out his own suggested amount and wait for their youthfully spirited receptionist's response.

(I'm sorry I didn't get to this sooner, do pester me on skype and I'll try to move this up on the list. I'm heading out as of Friday, so let's wrap this up)

Chiyoko raised an eyebrow. She watched as the dojutsu go off reminding her of something Sousuke could do with his armored suits. "Well now. Your mother you say? That's a game changer... and being a mother I can ... somewhat have a better insight to this. Yes. Family is important. Family is ... for some people family is all they have in this world."<i></i> She nodded her head having sympathy for Susumu. "Hrmph. This is quite a development if you ask me."<i></i> She added continuing to nod her head. "Honour your ancestors and give them no reason to look down upon you from the heavens."<i></i> Chiyoko began to file the passports now having the information she required. As she filed through the paperwork she paused for a moment. "This goes without saying though boys. I will repeat this once more behave! I don't want to have to bail you two out for something. More importantly I don't think you'd want to have to explain yourselves to my son."<i></i> She added with a chuckle.

"Right. Then passports for two. Five weeks... starting as of today. I want you two to report to me or the Steward in five weeks. He'll be very interested in what you find, but I want to hear what you have to say about your mum. I hope this works out for you... and you don't need to be that much of a spend thrift on the shrimp. Cut back by about a thousand but no more. I know cheap shrimp when I eat it."<i></i> A broad smile came across her face. "Things can be expensive out there so ... let's not spend all your yen before you go, you know?"<i></i> With that the mother of the Steward applied her seal and handed out the two passports.

(Passports awarded for 5 weeks)

Chiyoko began to show sympathy for Susumu when he told her that he was on a quest to find his mother. Chiyoko being a mother herself, said she understood his reasons for such occasion. Chiyoko then began to fill out the necessary paperwork for the passports she would give to Hiku and Susumu. The boys face lit up like a candle when she stamped a seal of approval on the passport for 5 weeks. "5 weeks is all I need; plenty of time for travel to Konoha" Susumu thought to himself. He then thanked Chiyoko and gracefully took the passport of the desk.

Hikudori smiled as Auntie allowed Susumu and him passage to go on there trip. Five weeks was all they had and that was enough for Hikuidori as he listened in on. Auntie took great caution in her job. She seemed like the type to only make decisions she was sure of. He could respect procedure and would simply nod and smile as she gave Susumu and Hikuidori the okay to go to the Fire Country. The receptionist would make sure to tell Hiku she didn't need all that money. Hiku smiled and turned around watching the excited Susumu leave the building. He turned back to the receptionist. "My parents were around for a large part of my life. However they left to pursue their goals when I was around his age. He hasn't had his parents ever. I believe he's my yang in a weird way. Keep all of it Auntie, you just made a young man the happiest child alive." Hiku would leave the yen on the desk and take his passport. He would head out whistling a merry tune, for his life was about to get more exciting.
