Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The smell of wet soil and flowers filled the hallway leading up to the Kazekage's office where Shin would be sitting at his desk with a stack of various papers and files over the different Shinobi in Sunagakure. He would sip on a cup of tea that he made from the refreshments table that he always had properly stocked. From tea to coffee and sweets to salty snacks, the Overseer wanted to make sure everyone felt at home and welcomed when they came to visit him.

He hadn't given any of the summoned individuals a heads up, but a couple of days ago an ANBU operative would track each of them down and hand them a scroll that asked them to meet at this time in his office. Until their arrivals, Shin would enjoy his tea and ponder the decisions he was making.

Ranran's eyes slowly drifted from left to right as she stalked her way up the halls towards the Kazekage's office. 'Why does it smell like wet shit in here.' Ranran thought to herself but in a strange moment of tact didn't say anything out loud as the girl stepped around potted plants and loose soil not quite realising she was smelling nature that was provided by the Kazekage's flowers not that she would have cared if she had realised as Ranran was more interested in the ores and metals nature provided rather than the flowers.

Finally arriving at the door Ran lifted up a fist and hammered twice on the door with a closed fist as a heads up she was entering before opening the door and stepping inside. Once again Ranran found herself face to face with the blonde man that led the village and once again she was unsure on how to talk to the guy. Most ninja would greet him as the Kazekage-Sama but to Ranran that felt like blowing smoke up someone's ass. 'He's the leader of all the ninja right?' Ran thought as she lifted up a hand in greeting before speaking. "Yo boss you called for me right?" Ran followed up her words by holding up the scroll she was given by the Anbu agent.

Needless to say, Akari in recent times had become a bit more hesitant about drinking anything given to her due to a wild and uncanny experience involving her being too trusting. She came out unscathed, but it had only made her paranoia shoot through the roof as she fire-bended her own tea this time. A few sips and suddenly there was a masked ninja in front of her, causing her to blink in confusion as he held out a scroll, which she accepted with a smile, not even showing a trace of surprise on her countenance.

Taking a few moments to finish her tea before setting the cup down, she unraveled the scroll and let her red gaze wander upon the parchment, resulting in an arched eyebrow. Being summoned to the Kazekage's office seemed...odd. She sighed and resigned herself to her fate, wondering if Shin had found any bodies she might have been removing from a problematic situation in her life, but not like she was going to run without proof.

Making the trek to the Kazekage tower, she climbed up only to find someone ahead of her, a much shorter girl that might as well have been too young to even be in the academy, as far as Akari was concerned. Not that she was one to judge, most people thought she was much too old to be in the academy when she joined, taller than many full adults from a very young age. Still, Akari couldn't help but inwardly cringe at her statement, though her outside remained collected with a bright, toothless smile as she followed behind the small child and simply said nothing but presented. "Ah, the Kazekage himself. A pleasure, sir, quite the pleasure. I was there at the coronation and what an event it was!" She stated, punctuated with a soft chuckle at the the end.

Toushin had only been back in town for a good day. After Tama had finally talked him out of it and going to the Kazekage to declare himself back in action the assassin thought it was a good idea to get out and start looking for his old contacts. See how the Underground was doing, see who was the new King, plan a coup, and then dive into his old office back at HQ. With a tight control of the black market and his position in ANBU, if he could regain Captain status again, he’d already have the cards back in his hands that were there when he was in power before. This time though, Tama was contracted, Yong hadn’t been around as far as he was aware, and his daughter was out in the dunes looking for something.

Toushin made his way up the stairs with grace despite his size to the office and politely knocked before entering. His eyes quickly shot to the two that came before him and took his measurements with that glance. He stood in the back near the door with his arms crossed to see what the Kazekage wished of them. The ANBU who had approached Uzu didn’t even recognize the old assassin, though the same could not be said of their hidden identity - he had long ago memorized all the masks their agents wore in his time. It was nice to “see” and old face though given the service member’s average life spans.

Uzu raised his had a little and waved at Shin to denote his presence and see what the leader had to say.

Shin smiled as the first three arrived, the three he was most hoping for to be honest.

"I am glad you three have arrived, the meeting will be quick unless you all have questions for me."

Shin would pull out a clipboard and snapped his fingers to convert his chakra into a plume made of ink.

"With recent shift of leadership within Suna, I am implementing some adjustments in our ranks to help encourage positive growth and development for the next generation."

Shin smiled at Uzu, the recently appointed ANBU Captain.

"Uzu-San is a Jōnin for Sunagakure no Sato, so I am appointing him responsible for the training of the following Genin, Ranran and Akari until such a time that both carry the Main Branch rank of Chuunin."

He looked at Akari before looking at Ranran.

"Mind you, if you take up specialized roles in the ANBU HQ or the Omni Prime Medical Facility these roles do not override the Main Branch Rank you carry. If you two decide you can't cut Uzu's strict requirements for progression please let me know and you'll be reassigned to reserves."

His eyes looked to Uzu.

"I expect you to make them valuable assets to Sunagakure no Sato. Their livelihood is your responsibility."

Crossing her arms over her chest Ranran contended herself with waiting from either a response from the Kazekage or for another person to enter the office and she didn't have to wait long as another girl older than herself entered into the room. Turning enough to watch the girl entire from the corner of her masks eye slits Ranran couldn't help but stare at the other girl for a moment as she took her features, Pure white skin and red cheek framed with blond hair was a stark contrast that Ran couldn't help but stare at as the girl greeted the Kazekage in a polite but showy way that made Ran quirk a brow up at the girl. Before anything could be said however the door to the office once again opened and in stepped........ Ranran wasn't sure what stepped into the room but she was pretty sure a comic book store somewhere was down a person as the man that entered the room didn't scream ninja to her due to his rotund figure and bookish looks.

Starring at the other occupants in the room and then to Shin Ran found herself alarmed that he didn't find the appearances of the two strange which meant that the pair often looked how they currently did and this wasn't some sort of prank or one off. Once the three were lined up before the Kazekage, Shin quickly got the heart of the matter of why they were there. It seemed the three were being organised into a team which was a surprise since Ran hadn't even completed the academy yet. "Wait um I haven't even completed the academy yet? Why am I getting organised into a team.......If you can call us that." As Ranran spoke she glanced over at her so called teammates her voice filled with doubt over if they were even ninja.

This was...certainly unexpected. Naturally, the Kazekage was present, seeing as he requested the meeting and it was his own office....but if the small child, who she had rightfully assumed had not even graduated from the academy, wasn't a shock, the large, rotund man, seemingly middle-aged with what she assumed to be poor eyesight appeared, was quite the shock for a gathering. Still, not everything was as it appeared and she started to think it was simple a transformation jutsu to fool others. Deception was her forte, so she would be sure not to let her guard down in this situation.

Immediately upon arriving, the Kazekage immediately addressed the three of them as a unit. Once more, she assumed correctly in not underestimating the man who carried one of the highest ranks in the village, it appeared. How fascinating. She thought back to the test one of the new sennin had given her and pondered just how this man measured up to her. Though it seemed like this would be yet another test of her...or rather, their abilities, so she would have to be prepared in any case Still, ever with a smile, she nodded her head in acknowledgement. "If that is the will of the Kazekage, I most certainly look forward to the....strict standards the captain will hold us to," a twisted air snaking its way ever so slightly into her curled lips as she pondered just what he would ask of them. The warning did not cause any fear to erupt in the young woman, for in the Land of Killers and Monsters, Suna to date had seemed tame...but perhaps that was more of a testament to her own twisted existence. Or perhaps it was due to the fact that the monster she sought was far more vile and foul.
