Alright, so maybe it wasn't Kichiru's brightest idea to sneak out of the hospital in the middle of the night only six hours after coming out of a multi-year coma. But, to his defense, the inside of an empty hospital bedroom is extremely boring for someone used to spending their days training to take on important missions that could change the face of the world. Well, change the face of a street or two. Maybe. Kichiru has definitely changed the face of a cat, however that was completely by accident and he definitely would have continued paying visits to the now slightly misshaped cat if he weren't just out of a coma. Plus at the moment he was trying to avoid mirrors and the cat-lady had a lot of mirrors in her house. It was strange enough waking up from a coma, but having to look at yourself and seeing someone more than a year older than you expect is a tad strange.
Now, whilst it might be understandable for the young Kichiru to escape from his boring hospital room, one might expect him to at least change out of his hospital gown before deciding to embark on an epic journey in order to find his closest friend, Yanjirou, who was one of the few people who hadn't shown up to visit Kichiru after he had awoken. For the hour or so between when his mother had finally left and he had made his daring escape he could think of nothing else but what could have possibly happened to his friend and comrade. Yanjirou certainly could take care of himself, so the conclusion Kichiru came to was that he must have gone on their journey alone! Normally one might feel jealous that their friend decided to go off on a grand adventure whilst they were stuck battling their innermost demons brought on by a strange void-voodoo-magic-totem-thing, however Kichiru was just excited that he was awake so he could see his friend again and see what kinds of amazing things Yanjirou had learned in the meanwhile. He must have acquired a wealth of stories to tell Kichiru... The only issue is that he never actually thought to ask where they would be going first, therefore Yanjirou could quite literally be anywhere in the world at this point. Therefore, Kichiru would need help locating his friend. He needed... a Hero... Sort of. A detective would work too. Or a really talented blood-hound. But Kichiru was able to summon a Hero, so that's what we're working with.
Approaching the street-corner where he had originally met the hero, Kichiru pulled out the flare the masked-man had given him and stared at it for a few seconds. There didn't seem to be anyone around, so it was likely as good a time as ever, so the boy pointed the flare upward and set it off, not really sure what to expect, though he was sure it would be fantastic.
“Hero, Hero, I need your help!”
