Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

The latest feat of the Sunagakuran Journeymen stood imposingly down at the small caravan gathering at the gates. Primus’ Bulwark, it was called, and it was justly so. The gleaming metal reflected pale light that did no more damage to a man’s skin than normal heat, seemingly absorbing the UV rays and only refracting the light itself. It stood to pose against those who would turn an ugly eye towards the village and all they had been through. Truly, since its erection, the business of certain illicit trades plummeted as the honest traders of Suna finally got a foot up on the Underground poison that attempted to rot out what remained of Suna’s moral fiber.
Yet the caravan gathering down at the base wasn’t the normal party of merchants getting ready to take their wares outside the country; no that happened on Tuesdays, and today was a Saturday. Nay, the good men and women who were wrapping up to face the desert hazards and the reflected heat of the dunes were doing so to help out an affiliated country that had been the victim of a freak tsunami. Well, perhaps not the whole country, but two rural villages near the coast. The wave had destroyed a great deal of one town while the other had been affected by the wave causing a sudden swell in the local river; which had flooded the second town.

Barely two days had passed before the officials of Tea had a message delivered to the Kazekage, who passed the buck down to his officials, who passed it down to the proper departments, and so forth, until a large flyer was created. Multiple sheets of paper were posted up across the market and local residential districts for volunteer help towards getting these two small villages back on their feet. Another sheet of paper, made from a much finer material than the flyers, was also posted up for the soldiers of Suna.
Despite the humanitarian needs of Tea, the deserts that surrounded Suna had become even more dangerous than they had been before, and to get there required a boat from Sora’s port. Things between Suna and Sora were shaky, at best, and the stretch of sand between them was bound to be rife with dangerous thieves at the very least. Thus a call for the minimum of two soldiers went out, and it was answered by a willing military.
Not all the merchants who gathered at the Bulwark were at home in Suna either; some of them were travelers from Tea itself. Due to this, the caravan had become a tad lager than intended. Seeing as how Suna didn’t want things falling apart at the port from Sora officials seeing a large contingent of merchants and soldiers heading across the pond, a message to the soldiers was sent out that all but two shinobi be placed under the disguise of one of the fellow merchants. Hopefully it would keep any incidents from occurring on the way there. Once they had crossed and finished helping rebuild, the shinobi could cross back on land and avoid the port city. It would take longer, but held less dangers at the moment than cutting through the Fire and Iron countries. The only reason they bothered with the port in the first place was it was faster, and slightly less suspicious.

Three, twenty-and-eight feet carts, were lined up one after the other, placed in procedure of most important to least. The cart at the head was slowly filling up with the merchants themselves as well as the handful of soldiers in disguise. It had a hooded cover to keep the sun from beating down on them as well as cushioned benches nailed onto the cart’s bed. The second held all the supplies that the merchants were willing to part with, as some had wares that could be simply carried on their person. At least thirty percent of the cart was medical supplies, while the rest was made up of creature comforts and building supplies. The last cart was simply full of pre-cut lumber and stone mix. Though it was considered the ‘least important’, it was by far the most expensive part of the caravan. Sunagakure didn’t have a lot of ways to procure wood for their own infrastructure and what little they had was considered a precious resource. The fact that they had any at all after the building of Primus’ Bulwark was a miracle unto itself, yet, certain members of the Suna Council made damn sure that Tea did not go wanting for anything if they couldn’t help it.

That and 90% of the lumber was from a trade deal with Tea anyways.

An impossibly large ebony skinned man with one leg helped load the last of the burlap sacks of coarse concrete mix. Sweat had taken to his brow and bare back, but it wasn’t from assisting to load the caravan with his disability. The Toraono on guard duty today was experiencing a moment of brief panic as he had become painfully aware he might have had a hand in the tsunami. The female demon that normally was a chatterbox had kept unusually silent today as well, no doubt feeling the same burden of guilt. The duo dared not go out to the village to see how much destruction their training had caused, and thought it better left to those not directly involved.
With a strong arm, Michino grunted and tugged until the rope was snug against the lumber. Satisfied that the luggage was secured he hobbled through the carts with his long walking stick to make sure the rest was secured while he waited for the last of the shinobi to appear.

[In this thread please post an Exit Village at the end of your post. The next part of the mission, the ‘meaty bits’ if you will, shall start in a thread in Tea after I have posted again and let everyone out.]

Meanwhile as the Toraono was waiting for the last of the shinobi the merchants naturally began to talk to each other. The merchants were both male and female and varied from young to old. Among these merchants and disguised merchants was a woman dressed in red. She wore a red kimono with a very simple flower motif. She had long black hair that flows down her back and part of it, in the front, even goes to cover her one eye. She was conversing with two other people on the vessel with her. “I must say I’m a little nervous about all of this.”

“Don’t worry Tea is a wonderful place. First time traveling by boat?” A merchant would respond as a natural citizen of the country in question.

“Oh no, I hail from the other side of the Great Sea. I am quite familiar with traveling by boat.”

A soldier in disguise would raise an eyebrow at her statement as that was quite far away. That would be a much longer journey than the one they will be taking across the gulf. “I can’t say I know any of the countries over there. You must sell some exotic goods.”

The woman would then turns back, routes into her pack and pull out a couple of small bags. “Indeed, I sell various herbs and spices for my home town of Gealach.” She would then reach out and hand the false merchant one of the small bags. "Hear take a whiff." As the man hesitantly puts his noes to the back he smells a spicy scent coming from it. It is true that she packed quite a few herbs from the village that she was born from, but they were not necessarily for cooking. As one from a clan of hunters that live of the land, it is no surprise that she would use herbal remedies.

How many days had it been since that day on the beach? Two? As Kasen packed a medical bag full of things she felt she might need to help the devastated villages, she contemplated the cause of the event. While she could not say for sure whether or not the tsunami that hit Tea was caused by the woman she had met on the beach, it seemed to have some strong coincidences. However, she did not imagine the action had meant to be malicious. Still, not two days later was she called into the hospital and handed a mission assignment that demanded that her expertise be brought into play. Kasen had little choice in the matter, considering that perhaps it best that someone so....familiar with water not be present for such an event, but the higher ups had deemed her more qualified in the matter because of that particular skill.

Kasen sighed as she finished packing the bag and headed towards the docks. It seemed she had been a tad late arriving, and many of the merchants and deck hands had already finished loading the boat. Kasen looked up towards the boat, noticing the woman, Akazukin that she had met in the bar, and a man who's appearance was a tad obscured from her at this distance. They appeared to be finalizing the transport items for the departure. Kasen, not wanting to get her supplies wet, hurried up the docking platform and placed her bag with the medical equipment into a small locker on the ship. She looked over at her companions, the ones whom also more than likely were assigned to this case much the same way she was and gave a quick greeting. "Hello all, let's go save some villagers, hm? Although, if you don't mind, I'm not much a fan of boats. So I'll follow just behind." If there had been any confusion on the basis of what the woman had said, a large shark would have slightly risen up next to the boat, nearly dwarfing the boat in it's size. Kasen hoisted herself over the ship's rail and fell gently onto the large sharks head.

Perhaps it was not the most conventional form of travel, but it was one that she felt comfortable with and also technically added a layer of protection for the boat. The blue haired woman would give a quick wave up towards the boat. "Ready when you are." When given the go ahead, both the shark and Kasen would descend into the sea, submerged just below the surface, ready to follow just behind the ship.

Michino’s eyes watched the caravan as they gathered together with the last members slowly starting to trickle in. The sun hadn’t quite reached high noon, and that still left another three hours of travel before the desert heat peaked. The group would be able to reach Sora’s port, if all went to plan, by around four to five in the afternoon. Passports were cleared, with the hidden soldiers a barely visible symbol to prove their legitimate rank on the passport despite it being “technically fake.” The gates were opened, causing a gust of desert sand to come swirling in from the momentum of the large structure opening up to the low winds outside. At the gate keeper’s nod, the head of the caravan cracked his reigns, causing the large camel-like creature to stir and begin moving towards the sea.

Once they were there the group found no open problems going through the city, despite where they hailed from, as even the leaders of this place knew the value of trade and coin. In fact, when the boat master heard that the merchants were on a path of humanitarianism, he called up his boss. The woman on the other end checked a few charts and gave the okay to load the boat up with some more timber and medical supplies; so that Sunagakure wasn’t the only notable help sent from the Wind Country.
