Seaside Paradise. That's what they called this place. It was one of the few places in all of Wind Country that grew lavish plants and was full of life. The sand was pure white and the water clear as glass. Still, it was such a gimmicky tourist attraction that it made it incredibly difficult for locals to actually enjoy it for themselves. Which lead one to question why Kasen was here in the first place. She had her own private beach, with beachfront property. Well...I mean it was mostly private because it was in the middle of nowhere miles from Sora and there were only a handful of palm trees scattered around her home. So, if she indeed had those things, why would she want to be in a place full of people that didn't seem to respect the land, the ocean, or the locals in the area? It was one simple thing. She didn't think anyone would come looking for her here. Truth be told, the newly appointed Medical Chief was starting to feel some slight wear and tear on her between the wedding planning, the title she had been granted, slight tensions with Kaen, the hospital, and trying to clean up all the mess that the Unbent had wreaked on the village.
The blue haired woman walked along the shoreline, passing many families on vacation with their small children. In the distance she could see lines of hotels and restaurants starting to fill up for the lunch rush. The blue haired woman was wearing a simple attire, one that felt both comfortable and allowed her to blend in with others present. She wore a light blue bikini, the bottom half covered by a cloth skirt with a hibiscus flower pattern in various pastel shades. She wore comfortable sandals that matched the color of her swimsuit, and a large straw sunhat that protected her from the sun. Over her shoulder was a bag that carried a towel, some sunscreen, sunglasses, and various other assortments of things that one may take with them should they want to spend the afternoon at the beach. She couldn't remember the last time she had just taken some time to relax. Things had become hectic so fast, it was hard to manage. One simply was required to push through.
The young doctor continued onward, walking through some of the thick foliage until she found a slightly more private strip of the beach. It was likely that many people just preferred to be closer to the buildings and not deal with the local plant life, but either way she enjoyed being close enough to still hear the noise of people without needing to interact with or bother them too much. She sat her bag down and started to unpack her towel, and spread it out on the ground. Her towel was made of a blue gradient and had little gray cartoon style sharks all over it. Sometimes I think you're too much of a cliche, but I do appreciate the one that looks like me. Kasen laughed as she looked at the rather big shark in the middle of the towel that seemed to dwarf the other ones. After pulling out a small umbrella, Kasen buried the handle deep in the sand and took out her sunscreen and lathered it on. She didn't really need it, but sometimes it was nice to have a routine that made you feel more relaxed. Pulling out her sunglasses, Kasen placed them gently over her eyes. Are you going to let me go for a swim and enjoy the day, as well? Or shall I keep you company here? A small frown overtook Kasen. "Mmm, any other time I would absolutely agree. However, this isn't quite like at home. There are a lot of people out in the waters playing, surfing, boating. I know you wouldn't do anything, but I don't want to scare anyone, nor would I want you to get hurt. But, we can enjoy each other's company. Right?" Kasen could feel Same's disappointment. She hadn't had a body in so long, that any chance she got to utilize it was something that brought her incredibly joy. Still, the large shark was able to understand Kasen's logic, even if it was quite a bitter pill to swallow. You are right. Let us try to make the most of it. Kasen nodded and laid down on the towel, the warmth of the sun shining down on her. She sighed and closed her eyes and could feel herself starting to drift off a bit to the calming sounds of the waves. Yes, this was some well needed time and relaxation.
