Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Annoying, all of them.

Truly, they all wanted him to become 'a fine ninja' like his parents were. Kuro though just wanted to enjoy his life a little, after all they now even had him signed up for the academy. Becoming a real ninja was far to much of a bother to be a goal of his. In the end he went along without saying a thing because he was most interested in all those flashy techniques that ninjas could learn, although in the end it was probably easier to just become a mednin like his parents were. With a sigh he sat down, these thoughts were to much for him, after all he came here because it was his favorite place to relax, a small open space hidden between a few trees, a location above the hokage rock that only a few people seemed to know of and even less people actually came to. In other words, it was the perfect spot to escape to from his sensei and his draining lessons and training sessions. But he wouldn't just pick this spot to hide, there were other spots more suited for this, the fact is from this spot you can atch over the whole village, to him a beautiful view as he loved the village and it's inhabitants, although most of the times he wanted to cause them some kind of problem for his own entertainment.

With the grin of a person who was planning something not quite allowed, he reached for some of the sushi he had brought with him. "Now, how am I gonna kill time until he gives up on searching for me?", were his words spoken to himself as he stuffed his cheeks with sushi. He always let his guard down a lot when he came here, although he was well aware it would be trouble if someone was to find him and tell his sensei.

The bell sounded off as another day of class was put to an end. Megumi would put away her books and look around the classroom. Thinking about how most likely will take the genin exam soon, she won’t be seeing this classroom or her friends. Sighing as she walked out with the rest of the class, she can deal with being lonely she’s use to it.

Shielding her eyes from the afternoon sun, Megumi thought about getting some practise in before work. However as she went to the battle scared training ground, a chuunin instantly ran up to her and started firing off questions about a Kuro. By the looks of the man he seemed to be your everyday chunnin, she did not see anything of note about the man, it’s probably why he can’t handle the more eccentric students of her year.

Putting her hand up as to stop his rant about how his student was a lay about and lacked motivation. “ By your ranting about all of your students flaws, you're not taking a look at your own”. The Chunin looked insulted, but could not debunk her claim. As she had deflated the man’s warpath Megumi would get down to business. “ You want help finding your student, how about you just tell me their appearance and a little bit about themselves”. Getting the basics, that his student had a feminine appearance about him, had long pink braided hair, wore womens clothes and like to play tricks.

Taking into account of Kuro sensei’s words, she would think about where the boy might be. “ Looking down to think then back at the Sensei, “ It appears we have a fox hunt on our hands, you take the main areas of the village and i’ll take the outskirts, will meet back here”. As they broke apart to hunt for there fox, Megumi would check Hokage Rock, as it seemed to be the popular place, for students to skip out on their studies.

Skipping from rooftop to rooftop, she would hurry over to her destination. Moving towards her destination she would make use of her time to think about her prey. She could see one of the reasons for him not being so keen on learning, as his sensei and him did not work. However all of the balime can not be put of the teacher as both parties have to give into the process of learning.

Landing on one of the Hokage’s stones heads, she whispered a apology for stepping on the head of one of her village’s leaders. Looking around, she would look around and move towards the brush as that would be the best place to hide oneself. Pushing the buses and twigs aside she would spot a few bits of rice on the ground. They looked to be still fresh and untouched by the elements. Looking up she would see her target, with a stuffed face full of the very rice that gave him away.

"The Hokage Rock...", thought Ichida to himself, "the place where legends say, the First Hokage was inspired to create a village, a place where warring clans were allied, and the Shinobi world would be able to live in peace, harmoniously.". Ichida had just read that from a book in the Konoha Library, and he was excited to take a look at the place, for both the view, and the experience of actually climbing up there, after all, he enjoyed challenging the limits of his abnormally strong and large body that people always commented about him.

And so he made his way towards the great Hokage Rock, on the huge mountain that oversaw the entire Hidden Leaf Village, where the faces of the historical Hokage were carved into, as if they were still overseeing and protecting the village, even in death. As Ichida reached the bottom of the Hokage Rock, he began to climb upwards, up the side of the great Rock, reaching out for the rocks above, while stepping on those below him to give him a foothold, as he looked for more rocks to get him up towards the top.

Reaching out for the ledge of the top of the rock, Ichida pulled himself up, first his upper body resting on the ledge, then he pulled his lower body in, to rest his body fully on the ledge. "Ahhh... that was pretty fun.", Ichida mumbled to himself, panting slightly from the climb.

As Ichida got up from the ledge, he turned back looking in the direction of the village, "what a magnificent view this is!", Ichida exclaimed to himself, trying his best to take in the brilliant sight that stood in front of him, when he began to feel a few strange presences in the area.

But he was not to find his moment of peace here, maybe it was some sort of punishment brought to him by some unknown entity. Not that he believed in such a thing, so lets call it misfortune that struck him as he looked up to a girl about his age that was noisily coming through the trees. The pink haired boy was sure there was a reason for her to be here other then, unlike him, to hide herself. The issue of him being discovered by his sensei instantly popped to his mind, but for now he wanted to belive that the girl was here of her own accord and wasn't associated with that man. With a playful smile he said, "It is not often that someone else besides me comes here, a shame since you get such a nice view." He stopped a moment to sit aside, inviting the girl to sit next to him, playing the innocent. "Even if it is good already, sharing food always makes it taste better right? He was ready to give her some of his sushi if she turned out to just have been come here for the view. Truth being told though he would have been happier if she just left, right now he wasn't really up to play around with other kids, although he might make her his target to have some 'fun' if she were to turn out as an interesting person. A little tense and ready to run off at any moment he was playing the spectator for now, smiling as he always does.

Megumi was in no mood for games as she did not have time to play with the freshmen. Watching the boy as he prattled on about the view, even if her could only see as far as a single day. She has heard of the phase live for today, and it would make sense for her and others in her trade to live life to the fullest, considering their short lives on average. However the boy sitting in front of her had taken the phase to an extreme.

As he made a peace offering of the sushi that helped give him away, Megumi could see the tricky boy ready himself to flee or start whatever his immature mind could dream up. Shaking her head at his offer, “ Thanks for the offer, but neither you or i have the time to sit around. You can eat your sushi on the way back to the academy, your incompetent Sensei is looking for you”. Megumi would turn around and started to walk, “ Come on let’s go, and don’t get any ideas”.

Ichida turned around, walking towards the trees, in hopes of getting to the other side, to see the view that lied outside of the village. There had to be more, Ichida thought, as he allowed the view to sink into his mind and his heart, setting it in that he would one day, become strong to protect this very view that he had witnessed with his very eyes. "Maybe this was how the Hokage felt", he thought to himself, slowly strolling towards the trees, which he needed to get through to see the outer regions of the Leaf Village.

Hearing the voices of two others, Ichida hid behind the trees, while trying to get closer to hear what the conversations were saying. "Come on, let's go, and don't get any ideas.", said a familiar female voice, that Ichida couldn't seem to remember. What was this all about? Siblings fighting? Family argument? Someone getting arrested? Ichida tried deducing, from the line he had just heard, still trying to match the familiar female voice to a face he knew.

Finally inching close enough, Ichida could now see their faces. "Ehhh?! Kuro?!", "And Megumi?!", Ichida exclaimed, now revealing himself from the trees. He had known Kuro since they were both Academy freshmen, and they had been in the same class at one point. Megumi, Ichida had known back during the Cadency incident, in which they first knew each other. "What are you guys doing up here? And how do you know each other?!", Ichida questioned further, puzzled as to what was going on.
