Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

"Time to return from wince we came. . ."

Maybe this was so soon but they had been here and Rozan had experienced his first few days of father-hood, parent-hood, and family-man-hood-things. . . Two beautiful babies, one in his arms or rather loosely strapped on the inner part of his trench coat. Though, not IN the coat, but kinda like one of those baby straps. Kaya was with him, she came out from Cereza looking like a little twin of her mother, just pre-developed and smaller. Though, these were their children, no doubt about it. Rozan, leading the charge would step from his horse being notified of the two people that would accompany them to Kiri and he would personally escort back. The true journey man, but he was a man of his word. He'd do everything he told the Raikage he would do without a moment's delay.

He didnt have the personal message himself for the Mizukage about relations with Kumo, maybe the two coming would know something about it, however the night before he would make and ensure that things would be handled accordingly. She might have still be week from the delivery, so he would make sure she was as comfortable as she could be. If there was another woman that joined them he would give her his horse and allow her the comfort as a future host to the this adventure. Their lives were in his hands. . . and he would not let them down. There was alot of discomfort though, he needed to accommodate for all the parties, so his abilities would be heightened to the greatest capacity to which they could be. He was on the top of his game.

"Rei, Are you okay?", pushing his glasses back and lowering his red hood, so she could see his figures he would tilt his head in worry for her. "Let me know if you need, anything. . . I packed and bought extra provisions I stowed away in the scrolls on my horse. . . Kaya will be safe with me, and I know you will keep Yoichi safe. . . just let me know. . . okay?", nodding he would kiss her forehead with a soft smile afterwards. After which they would begin waiting for the other two and the people to let them out officially. 'Damn procedures. . . but maybe Mist needs more fleshed out ones for the future. . .I'll talk to Cereza about it. . .', smirking a bit the new horse he had bought after coming up into Kumogakure, his horse was more adept to Cereza. . . so the new one would be used to a Kumo nin. . . maybe this would all work out. Hopefully. . .

Sighing, Natsu threw one last look at his Office. He'd be leaving, a trip of two months in case everything went swiftly and the wind was in their favor. He had briefly considered grabbing a Santaru along to make sure they'd make good time while at sea. He didn't know any he wanted to be on a boat with for so long though, and surely they had better things to do. Besides, he already had her to survive. While he was the one who had made the final call on which Med-Nin he'd bring along, he often doubted his decision still. After all, last time they had seen each other had been.. odd.

He had fallen through her roof; met her llama, blade and book-throwing skill; been made fun of and eventually had almost ran off to prevent more books being lunged at his face. The team he had sent to fix the damages had returned pale and clearly terrified. Whether that was from more unexpected wild life or the terrifying dame herself he had never quite discovered. Regardless, the Raikage had insisted on bringing along a Med-Nin to take care of the recently pregnant woman and her newborn children on the undoubtedly perilous mission.

He had done a background check on Shima Haruka right after he had returned. She had a remarkable family line in the Medical field and several tutors had commended her capabilities. She had never been outside of the Village for any notable periods of time however. She would definitely benefit from the experience. And when he had sent her the invitation to the mission, anonymously of course, she had apparently reacted quite excitedly. Well, as far as her cool demeanor would allow such a thing anyway. She clearly didn't have much pressing concerns inside the Village.

Not so for the Spymaster though. He had reports to finalize, arrangements to set-up for his agents to properly drop off their reports, preparing certain missives for future assignments and think of a decent way to keep him updated of any pressing matters that'd pop up while he was out. It'd certainly be a hectic few weeks in the Torre, but Natsu felt reasonably comfortable they'd manage now that Masao had returned from prison. Of course, there was the looming threat of Kingslayers.. But the possibility of Mist having information about the organization was not out of the picture. Perhaps they were part of a larger group, perhaps they had struck there too and were now trying at Cloud.

Of course, there were secrets from Mist to be learned and that was the real reason he had been itching to go. He couldn't trust an informant with that kind of responsibility. A hidden Ninja village required much more cunning to get to the core secrets. Of course, he didn't plan on staying long, thus the amount of information would be limited. All the more important he'd sent his best man.. Himself. Or at least the one he could trust the most. And his job would start with the people he'd escort. New parents with their just born children. While at first they'd be guarded, he was sure he could coax some secrets out of them eventually.

Reaching the gates, the Spymaster easily spotted the small group. It was a calm morning at the gates and he had met them before after all. Back when he had let them into Kumo. How coincidental he'd be the one joining them when they left once more. It'd also make the initial contact a lot easier. "Hello there. Nice to finally meet again, with better weather to boot! I'm Do Natsu, Jonin of Kumogakure and I'll be part of the escort. My colleague should arrive shortly. Ready for the trip? And the children?" He inquired, friendly and with no trace of the blatant lie he had just told them.

Natsu had decided ahead of time he'd pose as a Jonin while on the mission. After all, waving flags that a high-ranking individual with all of Kumogakure's secrets was heading to Mist hardly sounded like a good idea. At the same time, Cloud couldn't afford to brush this off as an unimportant task and simply send a Genin or Chunin to do the work. Besides, Natsu had been acting Sennin for a short while before, surely Jonin wasn't that incredulous. He would have a chat with Masao about an exam sometime soon. That would wait until he got back though. And for that, Shima Haruka needed to get her ass to the Gates asap!

Outside the walls of her home. She wasn’t particularly thrilled about leaving the sanctity of the hospital, but it was an opportunity to shine. Not to mention, her father advised her to aid the Raikage in such a paramount mission. He dwindled on about how much honor it would be the Shima name, and Haruka couldn’t argue she wanted to make her family proud, but she hated to travel. Well, at least she thought she hated it. The raven haired woman had never danced a pretty little foot outside the wall. Knowledge could be gained from travel. Experiencing the outside firsthand was better than reading about it from a book. She could only imagine what lie beyond the wall.

The challenge was packing. The battle between her need and necessity waged a terrible war on her backpack. She constantly packed and unpack contents, unsure of what she needed. Her expensive garbs could be spared the trip, as well as the ornaments that often laced her hair. She hide make up at the bottom of her bag, a little embarrassed that she wanted more than anything to bring it along on such a serious mission. Food for snacking was placed inside carefully, things that would not expire. What gave her the most concern was medical supplies. For that, she ran over to the hospital to gather what she deemed fit. It seemed she would be taking care of a new mother and her two infants. She hadn’t served in obstetrics in quite a while, but Haruka had always been fond of that wing. So calm and safe. She hoped to bring that bit of the hospital with her on the journey. It was important for a mother and child to feel secure at crucial developing stages.

The bag bulged, but she would bear the trouble of its weight. Haruka arranged herself in the attire of her branch for when they were deployed on missions with active combat, leisure clothes were stored in her sack. Placing the voluminous mess of ebony strands up in a ponytail, she opted for a simple barrette made of ivory and onyx. Engraved on the trinket was the symbol of her clan. She hoisted the bag onto her shoulder and gave one last final look at the mirror. She knew the girl who stared back wouldn’t be the same girl when she returned. So with a heavy sigh, Haruka locked her door and went rushed to the gates.

The air outside was a chilly embrace, but generally a good day of weather. The sun attempted to shine behind the rolling clouds. The wind was quiet for the time being. A good day to travel. She saw the figures of three people, standing ready at the gates. Two horses accompanied the band. The last to arrive, Haruka quickened her steps. She approached with the calm air she was trained with, trying to show that she was rushing. “Good morning! Forgive my lateness. I took a trip to the hospital to gather supplies for our journey and lost track of time.” Her cool words flowed like water between her painted lips. She bowed to the man and his wife first. But, when she turned to greet her fellow Kumo-jin…

Seven hells! Anyone but this idiot! There he stood with his dumb hair, stupid face, scrawny build. Do Natsu, the idiot who fell through her roof. She tried not to add pause to her bow and added, “Do Natsu, a pleasure.” She turned back to the Mist ninja. “I am Shima Haruka. I shall be your attending medic. It’s an honor to meet you both.” She gazed closer at Rozan, seeing the children in his arms. A warm smile crossed her face. Children were her weak spot, she admitted. The crow continued, “you are in good hands sir. The Raikage couldn't have picked a more competent shinobi.” She gestured to Natsu subtly. Her jab couldn’t be detected by either outsider, for her voice and countenance were just as pleasant as they had been from her introductions.

It had been a long day for Cereza, one filled with packing, taking care of the two newborns, and trying to maintain enough of her energy to function. She was still extremely tired and would've like to have the time to rest, but they needed to return to Kirigakure, their home. It had been nearly a year since they left, so surely things would have calmed down by now. Cereza wasn't sure, but at least they were returning with valueable information that would highly benefit the progress of their country, and Kumo too. Cereza had stood waiting at the gates with Rozan with thier children. Rozan seemed to have glued himself to Kaya since the twins were born. She was a little mini-version of herself with lighter hair color, but that was fine. Yoichi seemed to be the one that fussed more anyway, so Cereza would take him for the time being. She held him close to herself, as he lay asleep, swaddled in soft light blue fabric. Cereza herself wore her regular black cloak that was good for all weathers of any climate, regardless of the area. The horses seemed ready to go, so they were just waiting for the members that were apparently supposed to escort them back, which she had no problem with.

Not long after, the first came. The man that had let them in when they first arrived here. Well, it certainly made Cereza feel better that they would be leaving with a friendly face. She didn't like when things or people put her on edge, especially not when her family was involved, and it was even more so now that her children had been born and were considered to be extremely vulerable targets, should something happen. Cereza wasn't going to let anyone hurt her children, not while she was still living and breathing. Ah, but that was getting off the subject. Cereza looked at the man and gave a weary smile. "Hello, Do Natsu. It's very nice to see you again as well. The children are doing fine, thank you." Cereza gave a nod in thanks for the man's high spirits. It would certainly help in this trip considering she may not have the energy this time around to keep everyone entertained, which made her feel a little sad inside, but nothing a few more days and some rest couldn't solve.

Before too much longer, a second member approached them. Cereza couldn't say she was familiar with this person, but at least it was a female. Too many men on a trip could be a real hassle. None of them would ever admit to getting lost, and it would be even harder to get one to wear down enough to actually ask for directions. Yeah, stereotypical humor was fun. The woman bowed politely, Cereza nodded in return. Normally she was more of the enthusiastic hand shaking type, or a hug if it were with someone who seemed willing enough to accept one, but this time her hands were a little preoccupied holding the her son. Haruka seemed to know Do Natsu as well. Perhaps this trip would be interesting then. Anyone associated with such a friendly man would have to be friendly in return, yes? Possibly. Cereza couldn't really tell, but either way she extended a greeting as well. "Nice to meet you Haruka. I'm sure you'd been updated on us already, but my name's Cereza, this is my husband Rozan, and our twins, Yoichi and Kaya. We expect this trip home to be an enjoyable one. From what my husband has told me, your Kage is very respectable and kind. I certainly believe he could not have picked better people to escort us home. Thank you both. Now we just have to wait for someone to come by, yes?" Cereza gave a small sigh to herself and drew her cloak closer to herself and to partially cover Yoichi. She didn't want to be out in the cold for too long, even with this nice weather.

I moved in without a word, giving a look of expectation among the persons who had arrived. Thankfully, from the look of things, they knew how things worked. "Passport and relevant documents please. Let's make this fast." I said with a tone of respect. I too was holding myself to the same standards that I had set forth because of one specific Chigokai. I would not be a hypocritical leader. Until I could really prove my worth to the others, I wasn't going to let them have a reason to put me down any more than I already was. So I held out my hand and was prepared to check anything given to me for authenticity. Once confirmed, I would grant them approval and we would all be on our way.

". . .And with that. . . We're out. . ."

Taking things in stride like that, Rozan would not take a moments hesitation to finish his greetings to the group, smiling to the blonde haired male, and then making his way to the man and giving his hand out to shake, though Rozan's body and frame were very solidly locked into this moment. He was serious, but it was very nice about it. Too serious and he would likely pop a blood vessel, "Hello again Do Natsu. Better morning to meet you, thank you for embarking on this trip and making it known that I will be a man of my word. . .", nodding and bowing his head after their brief moment. He had a note from Hayata Shin for the Kage or his superior for the declaration of a treaty for the villages. . . for the bringing together. . . and solidified way to make sure that things would be taken smoothly. . . there would be essentially, two big things happening. Along with the permission to learn the Language of Ancient Kumo. . .

"Shima Haruka-san, thank you for joining this expedition. A skilled medic is exactly what we needed incase anything happens you can give the proper support needed. Though, I doubt we'll be needing any of that. Mist is a kind place. . ." 'Just hope the monster attacks are over. . .', "So, Are we ready? Everyone has their things? Shima-san can take the other horse, and we can make our way to our boat. . . Yes we own a boat. . . Cereza is the captain. . . Hehe.", smiling he would strap the scroll to his back and his daughter in close to his chest. She slept quietly. . . for now, and his son with Cereza making a little fuss every now and again. He would be a needy little bugger. The attention. . . Hm, he might not like it too much but it was a child. . . what could he do? Nothing, as long as his beautiful children were healthy thats all he cared about. Well that and as long as they stayed out of trouble.

"Lets go. . . Follow my lead. . . and this should take a few weeks. . .", throwing his hood back over his head he would begin leading the group, making sure Cereza didnt carry anything, nor did Haruka. He had alot of their baggage on his back while holding his child and in the sweet smell of maple. The smell of his wooden nature was. . . delightful when he wanted it to be. . .

Natsu smiled warmly as both of the foreigners remembered him and greeted him as if they were good friends already. That'd certainly make the trip more enjoyable. Nodding at Rozan's words, the Chunin was just about to say the man no doubt would come true to his word when their final companion joined them. He stiffened just slightly, hoping the woman wouldn't go on a rampage this time too. Thank Raiden she did not and instead greeted everyone, including himself, most cordially. Is this truly the same Shima Haruka I first met? He could not help but wonder. However, just a moment later he got confirmation of this at her very smoothly placed jab at him. He envisioned the woman would be quite a handful to get used to.

And so, with all 6 members gathered, Rozan took the lead. It showed that he was a teacher back in his Village. He was kind and friendly yet had no problems assuming control over a situation. The kind of leader Natsu himself wouldn't mind being. The Chunin had spent too much time among nobles and politicians however. To reign such people in required often a slightly more obvious display of power or not-s-subtle threats. Not necessarily to their life, but their money. They were very touchy when it came to their money. "Very well, after you then Rozan-san." He agreed, following the man swiftly.

He'd take care of the paperwork of all party members, displaying it to Zaku. The Gate Guard Captain was a colleague Natsu knew well, even considered a friend. All of it checked out without a hitch. The passports from the married couple and their children, as well as Haruka's and his own mission passport. "Fine work on the etiquette lessons, Zaku." Natsu would remark with a smirk. "Take care of the Village while I'm gone all right? Oh, and check up on Hikari if you'd have a free moment. She seems absent-minded recently." With that, he'd leave Kumo behind, running up to his companions. It'd be a long trek. As long as they arrived safely here, Natsu wouldn't complain though. Off to see more of the world, and hear more of its secrets!

Haruka made note of the many new names as introductions flew through the Kumogakurian air carelessly. The Shima was relieved to be escorting such pleasant people back to their homeland. If she was going to be forced out of her hospital to do actual field work, then at least it would be enjoyable. She could get past the Spymaster, so long as he didn’t do anything foolish. Rozan seemed amiable, along with his tired wife. Their two children, a son and daughter, were quiet for the time being. She expected them to be making a fuss by noon however.

Rozan offered a horse to Haruka kindly as he took her things and carried the weight himself. She wanted to protest, but she figured the teacher was the kind of man that wouldn’t allow his guest to bear any burden. She took the reins of the horse, clutching them tightly in her gloved hands. A shinobi appeared to allow them out. She didn’t recognize him, but anyone outside the hospital she barely knew.

She wasn’t exactly ready to mount the beast given to her, so the lead it along at a leisurely pace. Eventually they would rendezvous to the couple’s boat, something Haruka wasn’t sure she’d like. She had never ridden over any body of water. For now, she’d be grateful her feet were on land and that she had riding experience. The woman kept close to Cereza, ready to be at her side at the moment’s notice. Haruka remained silent for the rest of the walk out of the village, a bit too nervous to participate in conversation.

Rozan would have the necessary passports that would issue them clearance to leave. They had really enjoyed their time here in Kumo and would probably be coming back at some point. Perhaps when their children were a tad older even. Either way, with all the group here and ready to go, Cereza took notice of a man that came to give them leave. He seemed to just be doing everything robotically, as most people that worked the gate did. Cereza tried to at least have fun with it when she had gate duty, but no matter. Rozan would give out the information and Cereza would start to leave when ready, still carrying her son with her. It would be nice to get back the boat.
