Ninpocho Chronicles

Ninpocho Chronicles is a fantasy-ish setting storyline, set in an alternate universe World of Ninjas, where the Naruto and Boruto series take place. This means that none of the canon characters exists, or existed here.

Each ninja starts from the bottom and start their training as an Academy Student. From there they develop abilities akin to that of demigods as they grow in age and experience.

Along the way they gain new friends (or enemies), take on jobs and complete contracts and missions for their respective villages where their training and skill will be tested to their limits.

The sky is the limit as the blank page you see before you can be filled with countless of adventures with your character in the game.

This is Ninpocho Chronicles.

Blood.

The sanguine liquid of existence, a fluid that pumps through nearly every living thing on the planet. One would think that such a vital liquid would confine itself to the work it was set for, as hard as that work already is. But more than a few things, for some reason known only to the Gods of Old, work even harder than they're meant, doing things far past their tasks and stations for the sake of the individual they belong to. And such was the case for the young Sei's ichor, which had done the job of both protecting him and healing him as he laid within a coma, having gone under only 4 years prior to this day.

The pounding heart in his chest skipped a beat, then began to beat in an all new rhythm. Faster than it should, stronger than it always had. The blood that'd completely covered his torso seemed to be retreating back into his skin after having not moved for the entire duration of his coma, not even after medics had attempted to do anything. The shirt he'd been wearing since then had torn underneath the liquid, having barely survived the chest-plosion, yet not so much his natural growth.

His single working eye flew open as his heart beat continued its powered pace, his mouth opening to gasp in shock and terror as he remembered what happened. As if acting of pure instinct, he turned over, aiming to try and get on his hands and knees to get to his feet, yet he hadn't been aware of the surface he was on. The width of it wasn't long enough for him to turn over, so he tumbled to the ground, his lungs throbbing as the impact of the cold floor to his chest drove every ounce of oxygen from him.

He laid on the floor, coughing and wheezing as he slowly regained his breath. He looked up from his position on the floor, slowly, shakily, raising himself up on his hands. Where the hell was he? The room was nearly dark, and he was unable to see five feet in front of him. He could still feel the cold metal of the table he'd been lying on as if it was still pressed against his skin, and the cold floor didn't help his body gain warmth, either.

What the hell had happened?

He was barely getting to his feet, using the cold patient's bed to help himself, when he heard the nearly silent click of the door-handle being turned, before the door opened with a swift shhh. He peeked his head over as he caught sight of a scantily clad nurse entering, a clipboard clutched to her chest. She seemed to only be doing her daily rounds, a pain clutched in her hand as she walked about the room. She seemed to glance right past the empty bed, taking stock of whatever else was in the room.

She was on her way out when she stopped dead in her tracks, slowly turning her head to look at the bed. The woman gasped, and seemed nearly ready to run out of the room and find help when Sei stood up slowly, standing far taller than he'd ever believed to be possible. He swayed slightly, before half-collapsing, both of his hands moving to grab a piece of the bed to slow his descent until he was kneeling against it. He sighed in relief as the bed relieved him of some weight, allowing him to rest better.

"You need to be laying down," the nurse said, frowning now, having already gotten over her shock. He looked up to her, before chuckling softly, nodding a few times before carefully maneuvering himself onto the bed. Once he was sufficiently settled, she set her clipboard onto the bedside table, quickly and easily checking his pulse, temperature, and breathing. "How do you feel?" She asked, raising a slim eyebrow as she awaited an answer.

"Fine," he said, shrugging slightly. "Hungry, dehydrated. Where am I and what happened?" He asked suddenly, his brow furrowing and staring up at the woman. "That's understandable. You've been in a coma for around four years now." She nodded before leaving him alone with that little tidbit of information, gone to fetch him food and drink so that he could rest a bit more and be on his way.

Only a few hours had passed and he'd already been told he could either stay for another day or two or leave within the time-frame of a few hours. He'd been given food: a few bento boxes of food (primarily meats, seafoods, and vegetables) and a jug of water (and matching cup) to himself. At first, looking at the sheer amount, he wouldn't have believed he'd eat anywhere near it - but the last time he'd fed himself, he'd been almost a foot shorter and weighed less. The teen stared at the food, before picking up the box of vegetables. He sniffed at it, before the delicious smell of it set his mouth watering in anticipation and motivation.

He finished all of the food within half an hour, setting the empty boxes on top of each other on the bedside table as he went through them. A loud, obscene burp ripped from his throat after he'd finished, thoroughly full and feeling far better than he had when he'd woken. He left the cup he'd been given altogether, picking up the jug and drinking half of it in a single go. A satisfied sigh left his lips as he set it back down, settling back into the bed and staring off into space as he slowly dozed off, the sound of various small machines acting much like a lullaby.

Walking out of the hospital, he looked around, suddenly thinking about how long he'd really been gone. Four years.... A lot could change in four years. A lot. A frown crossed Sei's lips as he looked around, before drawing the dark jacket he'd been given closer about himself. The hospital had lent him some larger clothes that fit him better, yet were a bit baggy on his rather slim form.

He sighed softly, brushing off the anxiety - it wouldn't be that bad. He'd be fine, he had people at his back. The Shinrya. He set his jaw before setting off, walking quickly in the direction he'd last remembered the house estate to be. It shouldn't be too hard to find home.
