Toad Infestation! - Kiramaru (Modded Team Mission)

White Oak Street always had a charm to it, with its flower shop offering a beautiful view as you walked through the streets to the invitingly warm hot springs. The cold day today made the hot springs sound almost irresistible now. Riku looked back to his companion, Kiramaru, the 2-year older friend of his was to come to a specific hot spring on this street with Riku.

“Hey, Kira,” Riku asked, keeping his hands in the pockets of his robes, “We’ve gotta hang at one of these springs sometime, might be a nice relax spot.”

As he took his hand out of his robe, he took a chance to admire it. The clothing he wore today was a cousin of his clothing at the ramen store. It was simplistic, with its pale orange exterior complemented with yellow outlining across his waist and wrists and complemented with a insignia of a dice face on its back.

“We should be nearing the place,” Riku said, looking back at Kiramaru, “Something about a toad problem or something, didn’t really read the mission.”

Riku gave a laugh that ended with a grin, his hands returning to his pockets as he the cold returned. He might have to consider purchasing gloves in the future, maybe with a nice red colouring, that’d complement his clothes well …

Riku shook his head, pulling out a crumbled piece of paper from his pocket, he’d written the name of the hot springs they were looking for, “The Fires Waters” Riku gave a smile at he saw the name up ahead.

“It’s over there,” Riku said, pointing at the hot springs, “Let’s go!”

Riku took off running towards the springs, this should be easy!

The freezing cold weather would not bother Kiramaru much,as low temperatues were more like a pleasure to him and to his canine kin as well,as they can frolic within the prescence of such coldness,but as he felt the pleasuring warmth of the hot springs,he began to have a little desire in trying it out,as he had never been to a hot spring,ever

As Riku then suggested to Kira that they gi ajd try out some hot springs,this could be it said Kira in his mind,as he wanted to experience the pleasing atmosphere of the springs and because of that he then replies to Riku,smiling at his suggestion.

"Great Idea!....Never tried out a hot spring before!"

Kira admitted,as mentioned before that he has not yet experience bathing in a hot spring,then as Riku theoretically acknowledged that they were getting nearer to the are that they will do the mission,he then asks Riku to confirm that it's actually the place.

"You sure Riku?....we might end up in the wrong place,even worse,we might accidentally ram in a women's spring"

Kira laughed,as the thought of accidentally barging in a women's spring would be hilarious,and he would also think about the look on Riku's face if that happens so.

Then as came running to the place where they will perform the mission,he then shouted.

"Wait up!..."

As he didn't expect Riku to run that sudden.

Standing outside the hot springs stood a rather concerned looking lady her Kimono somewhat soaked clearly having been inside to attempt to sort out the problem head turning from left to right looking for the help she had been assured would be sent to the place. Seeing the two approach her sandals clacked against the wood floor of the buildings entrance addressing the two through a rather flustered voice. "Are you the ones sent to assist us with this problem? you couldn't have come at a better time it's become somewhat chaotic since the outbreak we've had to close down for the time being until it's sorted."

Gesturing for them to enter the building she paused slightly before turning to them seeming worried about the whole thing. "Where are my manners I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Aika daughter of the owner of this place. I hate to seem upfront but we have an infestation of frogs in the baths and well....do you know how your going to get rid of them?" She didn't have doubt in her voice that wasn't the case, no she seemed concerned due to the length of time this had been going on pacing on the spot in concern.

"If there's anything you need I can see what we can do, anything to help this go along quicker so we can get the place back up and running, the supply closet is down the hall if you want to check there and the baths are out this way." She gestured down a hallway towards two entrances one for the men and the other for the women's baths presumably the problem extended between both baths rather than just the one though the scale of it was yet unknown to the duo.

Riku followed inside and listened to the problem, after the explanation he looked towards Kiramaru. He realised that he hadn’t come up with a plan on how to catch a bunch of frogs and get them out of the baths. He won’t dare explain that to the woman … he just needs to act like he knows what he’s doing, confidence tends to work. He turned back towards her.

“Thank you, Aika,” Riku said with a smile, “We’ll take it from here then. This place will be open in no time!”

He gave a quick bow to the girl before crossing his arms and nodding towards Kiramaru, was he thinking up a plan? Riku had a suspicion he was just considering the prospect of entering the women’s bath. As he looked on at Kiramaru, he took the chance to look at his dog. He might need to check what type of frogs these are … that dog might try eating one or two trusting his luck.

“The names Riku,” He said to the woman, “Hideki Riku. This is my companion, Inuzuka Kiramaru. Between the two of us, this’ll be breeze.”

Riku gestured towards one of the bath rooms, his eyes turning towards Kiramaru before nodding.

“Kiramaru,” Riku said, “You check out the problem, see how severe. I’ll have a look at the supply closet, see what we’re working with.”

With that, the white-haired boy jogged over the supply cupboard, opening it up to have a look at the contents inside. He needed to find something to help hold the frogs so the two can transport them, where does he take them though? If they can grab them all, they may just be able to take them out of the village.

While the woman was explaining their problem,Kira planned something to do with some of the toads,one of it was cook them,but he still wasn't sure if he should do that,because the toads might be a poisonus specimen that would cause a gut wrenching experience to them if they consumed it without realizing.

As Riku then presented his name and bowed to the woman,he also does it,as a sign of courtesy to the woman,as he did so,he then acknowledges her his name.

"Pleasure to meet you Miss Aika,my name is Inuzuka Kiramaru,at your service".

After he speaks,he pauses and bowed,tyen after a few moments,as Riku suggested that Kiramaru should check out the present predicament,he then enters,as he did so,barking would emanate inside the spa,so loud,that it could be heard four houses away,what was causing the sound?His dog of course,but this would be an exceptional one,this was louder than it's normal barks.

After a few moments inside,he then starts to catch one of the toads to check if the specimen would be a poisonus one,as mentioned last time,he will attempt to cook them,as he remembered last time he ate one,it tasted just like chicken but a bit more tasty in his perspective,and this type of opportunity is one he would try to do again,as he would like to immerse Riku in it's taste.

Nodding to the pair a slight smile came across her face feeling relief that professional help had arrived to sort out the problem bowing to the students in thanks. "I thank you so much for this, its been a nightmare trying to keep the business going without help." Within the supply closet was various tools used to clean out the baths, brooms, cleaning items alongside things for day to day business such as nets and baskets serving their specific purposes when having issues within the building.

The baths themselves were in chaos frogs leaping around as far as the eye could see they seemed like every day frogs though they remained in the general area of the water never straying too far away a few fleeing from the new dog that had entered the baths. Seemed they were full of energy and had little interest in being moved out some attempting to move towards drains in order to find shelter, others moving towards the building itself to seek out a good hiding place until the new assault on their home came to an end.

Something seemed to be hiding deeper in the bath however vapour from the hot water obscured clear vision of what that thing could be it seemed the pair would have their work cut out for them as the young women smiled at them giving them moral support from the safety of the doorway never taking a step into the bath area and edging away as frogs came closer.
