Toshi squatted down once more, pulling up another set of tall weeds that filled the garden. Chores weren't as much of a burden as the thought they would be. They actually gave the boy a time of peace. He was able to gather his thoughts, thinking clearly of the matters ahead of him in life.
The morning was still early, the sun hadn't risen yet, and a thick mist began to roll into the area. Toshi placed the gathered weeds into the trash bag that he used while working. 'The different paths of shinobi could be a tough choice for anyone to make. Striving to become the Hokage sure sounds like it entails a lot of hard work. On the other hand, dealing with injured people while under pressure could take a lot out of a Medical Shinobi. I wonder if Nao has ever become fatigue from dealing with patients.'
Studying the books had become one of Toshi's favorite pastimes. Only his chores, and meals could take his eyes away from the pages that informed the boy of his new life. 'A Main Branch shinobi doesn't necessarily have it easy either.' Toshi thought back to what he read, pulling up a few stubborn weeds before moving on. What really caught his attention was the passage about Anbu. There wasn't much information on it, though from what he read, they were as tough as nails. The boy knew he would have to up his trainings if he wanted to consider joining that branch.
